Aelita has decided to cast the powerful and dangerous Abyss Break. It wasn't looking good for Simon and the others as it didn't seem like they had the strength to stop her.
"This is bad." Sasha said.
"She can't be serious. She could take half of Magnolia with that spell. Some of her own men are down there. Is she really going to take all of them out as well?" Ezrin said.
"Unless... Don't tell me she has some sort of control over it!" Sasha said. If Aelita does, she might be able to take them out without harming anyone from her side. Simon wasn't going to let that happen as he tried to get back in the fight.
'Come on. Get up.' Simon kept telling himself. 'If Ezrin is here for Crime Sorciere, Father must be here too.' He kept pushing himself as he was able to stand. 'I promised I protect mother, all that is precious to her. I promised to protect the guild, my friends, my family! I can't give up!' Simon found the strength as the light from the Abyss Break consumed him.
"Farewell." Aelita said as she thought this was the end. There seemed like no stopping the spell, but there was as it was sliced in two. It caused the powerful spell to be dispelled. "The Abyss Break was split in half?! How?!" The answer was Simon as he was wearing a new armor.
"Nakagami Armor!" Simon said. Everyone was impressed that Simon even had the strength to use armor like that. An armor he hasn't used or was able to use until now.
"It can't be...!" Aelita said as she couldn't believe what she was seeing. "How could that boy have the strength to use armor like that?!"
'No time left. I need to end this now!' Simon thought as he lunged himself right at Aelita. "Nakagami Starlight!" He swung his halberd and caused devastating damage to her as Aelita was thrown higher in the air, but she was still conscious. Simon landed on the ground and sent the armor away. "This is where it ends!" He pointed his hands down and moved his right arm for him to take a stance. It was at that moment that dark clouds formed over Aelita. Aelita saw them and couldn't believe Simon still had this much power.
"He can really cast a spell that powerful?!" Aelita said.
...
Jellal
Jellal stopped for a moment as he sensed something. Jellal looked towards the outside of Magnolia and saw the dark clouds. He knew that spell and he knew it was Simon doing it.
"Simon... Have you really mastered that spell?!" Jellal said.
...
Simon
"True Heavenly Body Magic! Sema!" Simon was able to command a meteor to come down. The meteor hit Aelita as she was driven to the ground. The meteor hit the ground and caused a large explosion. It took every last ounce of strength Simon had, but it looks like he did it. Aelita laid in the center of a crater and it appeared she was defeated. Simon couldn't stay up as he collapsed from exhaustion.
"Simon!" Sasha called as she and Ezrin hurried to him.
"Is he okay?" Ezrin asked.
'Using the Nakagami Armor, which consumes much magic power, and Sema took up a lot of his magic power.' Sasha thought. 'I can't believe he was even able to pull it off.' It seemed like it was over, but they both heard footsteps. They turned to see Apaki and the others back up. Battered and beaten they are, but still willing to fight.
"We won't be defeated." Apaki said.
"Are you kidding? You still want to fight?" Ezrin questioned.
"We won't let you kill Lady Aelita." Apaki said.
"We won't." Sasha said. "We're not the type to strike an enemy while she's down. This fight is over. You four are clearly in no condition to keep fighting yourselves."
"She's right. Just look at the four of you." Ezrin said.
"I can see she means a lot to you and you mean a lot to her." Sasha said. "If I were you, I take care of her." Sasha made sense to them. Aelita means more to them than this war. With that, another member of The Ten has been defeated, but there are still two more out there and they are the two strongest.
...
Jellal
'I can't believe Simon has mastered that magic.' Jellal thought. 'He's grown so much.' He felt so much pride as a father for having such a powerful son.
"Jellal! Snap out of it! Now is not the time to be daydreaming!" Erik called. He was right. They had their own enemy to defeat. Crime Sorciere had Serena surrounded. However, she didn't seem the least bit concerned.
"You want a fun time, lady?! We'll show you one!" Sawyer said as he used magic to attack Serena fast. He was going to attack from behind, but Serena was able to look him right in the eyes. She swung her staff as she smashed it against him. "No way... How could she have countered my speed?"
"Speed? All you did was alter my perception of speed, failed anyway." Serena said.
"Maguilty Rays!" Meldy joined the fight as she unleashed blades of magic energy, but Serena was able to easily deflect each one.
"As for you, you're a little girl compared to me." Serena said.
'Her magic power is intense.' Jellal thought. 'We haven't faced anyone like this since we all took on August. How do we defeat her?'
...
Terran
Terran crossed paths with Storm earlier. He ended things before they even begun. At least that's what he thought. As he turned away from the damage he did, he sensed something. He looked behind him and saw Storm was able to make a shield of ice. It was broken to pieces and it took a lot for Storm to block that attack, but at least he's alive.
'That was too close. My shield barely held against his attack.' Storm thought.
"You're still alive..." Terran said as he turned back to him. "A foolish mistake. A child like yourself can't defeat me."
"Did you just call me a child? I'll sure you I'm no child." Storm said as he got ready to fight. He was ready to fight, but he stopped for a moment when he realized something. He and Terran sensed a large portion of magic power disappeared.
'That magic power that faded was Aelita's. Don't tell me there was a wizard that could actually defeat her.' Terran thought as he didn't even consider that a possibility.
'Someone on our side must have defeated another powerful enemy. Looks like it's my turn to do the same.' Storm thought as he readied himself. He went at Terran and readied his attack. "Ice-Make: Cold Excalibur!" Storm formed a large sword out of ice. He tried attacking Terran with it, but Terran jumped out of the way.
"Excalibur, a powerful sword wielded by a mighty king. An appropriate weapon to use against me." Terran said as he jumped to the rooftops. "Even so, someone like you isn't fit to wield such a powerful weapon, even if it is just a mere copy."
"Quit spouting nonsense. Don't look down on me!" Storm shouted as he launched more ice at him, but Terran was able to block it easily.
"I thought I told you that ice is useless against me." Terran said. He formed a piece of ice in his hand and tossed it at Storm. It came at Storm fast, but Storm was just barely able to move his head out of the way. He still got scratched on his face, but that was the best he could do with how fast it was going.
"Ice isn't going to be that much use against me either." Storm said.
"I see. Good thing I have other options. Let me show you why I am known as the cold flame." Terran said as he formed ice on one side and fire in the other.
"Fire and ice?!" Storm said. Terran launched a series of ice and fire at Storm. Storm moved around as fast as he could to avoid all of it. "No way! This guy is actually using fire and ice against me! I can't believe he's able to use both against me at the same time!" Storm took cover behind a building and managed to get out of Terran's line of sight.
"Do you think you can run and hide from me?" Terran said. Storm climbed his way up the buildings and took the fight to the rooftops.
"No one's hiding. I'm taking you down!" Storm said as he kept fighting. "Ice-Make: Hammer!" Storm formed a hammer of ice, but Terran was able to stop it with one hand.
"How many times are you going to make me repeat myself? Ice and fire are useless against me." Terran said. "If ice is really all you've got." Terran sent the hammer back at him. Storm got hit by his own attack and did some damage as he was knocked back to the streets. Terran continued to look down at him, literally and figuratively, but Storm isn't giving up.
"Don't think I can't handle the cold." Storm said as he tried to get back up.
"This is becoming bothersome." Terran said. "Then again, this were able to defeat most of The Ten. Even someone as strong as Aelita. I didn't think I would have to use this, but perhaps this is also the fastest way to get these nuisances out of the way." Terran began to float in the air.
"Great. This guy can fly too?" Storm complained. Terran reached for his top and undid the buttons and such. He removed the top and showed the Duat Kingdom's emblem on his left chest and a bird mark on the right. "A bird?"
"Let me reintroduce myself. My name is Terran Harravins, also known as Cold Flame. I hold the mark of the condor." Storm remembered the rank system and knows where he stands.
'That means...he's the second strongest out of The Ten.' Storm thought. 'I sensed a bunch of intense magic power. I know Ankhselam must be close by. That means the other intense magic power I'm sensing...must be number one.'
...
Serena
A gust of wind flew by and showed a phoenix mark on her back. The phoenix means that she is the strongest out of all The Ten. That means that Crime Sorciere is fighting the strongest out of all members of The Ten Gates of the Underworld.
"Anything else? A girl likes to be entertained." Serena said.
"Let's try combining our attacks." Macbeth suggested with Erik and Richard agreeing. "Spiral Pain!"
"Liquid Ground!"
"Poison Dragon Roar!" The three of them attacked together and created a twister of bent air, mud, and poison around Serena. They're hoping that does some damage to her. They waited for the attack to settle and hoped they got her.
"Is that really all of you together can do?" Serena said. She was perfectly unharmed from that attack. She stood in the center of a devastating attack and she didn't have a scratch on her. "Combining three different magics like that wasn't a bad idea. At least it was something original."
"Not even a scratch?!" Erik said.
"Just how powerful is she?!" Meldy said. Serena was mocking them. She's barely done a thing, but they're trying their best to fight off. Serena sensed something as she looked up and saw Jellal preparing an attack.
"Grand Chariot!" Jellal ordered the stars to fall around her, but Serena had a light shine in her hand and completely blocked the attack. "She's countering everything we're throwing at her."
"Come on. Six against one and this is the best you can do." Serena said. She caused a series of explosions to go off around her enemies. They're at her mercy. Is there really nothing they can do to beat her?
...
Storm
"What are you doing?" Storm questioned as Terran removed his top and floated in the air with his bare chest out. "Don't tell me you strip like my old man."
"What? No." Terran said as he dropped his clothes on a roof. "I just don't want my clothes to get ruined." Terran was building magic and released it. He was surrounded by a blue flame and Storm could sense something with Terran was changing.
"What the hell is happening?" Storm questioned. When Terran emerged from the flames, something came out with him. He had a set of butterfly-like wings on his back that were made out of sky blue energy and shimmering like fire. "What is that?"
"I have perfected what many could train for a hundred years could not obtain." Terran said. "This is a fusion of fire magic and ice magic."
"A fusion? Don't tell me that you...!" Storm said as he didn't like the sound of this.
"Yes. I have perfected a single-person-unison-raid. In fact, I am a living unison raid." Terran said. Storm couldn't believe this. A unison raid to do with two people is difficult to do. A person doing it single-handily seemed like an impossibility. Whatever Terran did seems to have worked as the power of ice and fire together are flowing through his body. "It's over." Terran moved quickly. Faster than the eye could blink, he attacked Storm. Storm's body was cut in two as half of his body slid off the rest of him. How can anyone really stop two opposite forces working together?
