It had taken Gar literal years for him to convince his best friend that a traditional diamond was the way to go. Not just because of the custom itself, but because of the message behind it.

It was a good way to go, and the greenling had smirked knowingly when they had gone to pick it up at the jewellers. He had cackled mercilessly when said friend had sighed quietly and simple shook their head in resignation.
Having never really cared for jewels outside of their magical properties and usages, Raven simply allowed her fiancé to buy it for her.
If she was going to be right for the rest of their marriage, she might as well let him have this one.
