It was always a strange feeling when Aqualad returned home.
Sometimes if felt as though nothing had changed; sometimes it felt like everything had changed. But it was always a welcome sight to see his home, his family. His Pod.
His Pod was made up of so many different species of underwater fauna that the colours could sometimes overwhelm him, but it was still a wonderful thing to see. And he knew just how blessed he was to have this life.
It took a great deal of courage to leave such a warm and friendly home, but the aquamarine waters beyond the Pod had always called. Just as they were calling him now.
Smiling, Garth let the call settle. It would always be there, so for now, he could bask in the feeling of home.
