enniec123 asked: Hi can you do a sequel to parent trap?
mini-sequel to Chpater 342
Caroline gave a long, drawn-out sigh. "I think…I'm out of stories. You've officially exhausted my best anecdotes, which is beyond annoying because I know you must have a bajillion more."
Sprawled out as he was by the door, Klaus just gave a lazy smirk. "I'm honored to have heard them, though I wish they'd been shared under better circumstances. Six hours is a bit excessive, don't you think?"
"I don't even know what they expect from us, it's not like they can hear anything. Asking Bonnie to soundproof my areas of the boarding house was literally step one of opening the school." Rolling her eyes, she caught sight of her reflection in a mirrored picture frame. "God, I'm hungry. The pastiness is already setting in."
A spark of mischief lit behind his expression. "I would be happy to take you to dinner once we're free, love. Shall I text Hope to make us a reservation?"
Her jaw clenched, annoyance worsening into exasperation. "If that works-"
But Klaus only smiled as he tapped away at his phone, eyebrows lifting at the near immediate response. "It's apparently already set for the five of us, to discuss whatever we got up to in here and how it affects our children."
Caroline frowned. "Are they trying to blackmail us into dating?"
"I believe 'extortion' is the best fit here," he said, laughing when she tossed a pencil at his head. Only then did his good mood dissipate. "Honestly, sweetheart, you're a vampire. You shouldn't have sharpened wood just lying around."
"Don't lecture me in my school and get your daughter to release us."
He glowered and raised a defensive finger. "It's your girls that are supposed to siphon the spell from the room."
Dropping her head into her hands, she contemplates busting out the window for at least the third time that day. "We're not even a thing yet and they're already ganging up on us."
Suddenly, the mischievous grin was back. "Yet?"
