Episode 357: Hot Springing a Leak
A several hours came and went as Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Lucas, Dawn, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and the Digimon were walking through the woods. As they were walking, a Glameow is sleeping soundly in a nearby tree sleeping. Glameow woke up and spotted them. Glameow spotted Kairi and followed through the trees.
Up in the mountains, there are Digimon that resembles humanoid bears made of snow with red, round buttons on their chests. They have black eyes and nose that resemble coal. They were freezing up the whole area. Among them is a large Digimon that resembles a mammoth. The mammoth-like Digimon freezes the trees as the Starly and Staravia flew off. Devimon was above as he was monitoring the area.
"Excellent. Mammothmon and the Frigimon are doing an job. Since they arrived here in these mountains," Devimon said. "And it should get the attention of Sora, Agumon, and their friends. And right there and then, we can set our attention onto Riku, Guilmon, and the rest." He laughed as his plan is set onto motion.
Over to Etemon, he has taken a liking to the world he had entered on. He laughs.
"This world has better watch out, because Etemon is here to stay!" Etemon said.
"Yeah! You said it, boss!" One of the Gazimon said.
"Now, let's the show on the road!" Etemon said as his Monochromon pulled the wagon.
Back to the group, Sora exchanged Turtwig, Prinplup, and Raboot for Riolu, Corvisquire, and Espeon. They were training for the Veilstone Gym battle coming up.
"Okay, Espeon, use Psychic!" Sora ordered. Espeon uses Psychic to lift a rock. "Great! Corvisquire! Use Drill Peck!" Corvisquire Spun around like a drill and dove down at the rock, making it shatter into millions of pieces. "That was great, guys!" The three Pokémon beamed at the praise. Sora calls them back into their Pokéballs as the group were starting to take off for Veilstone City. A Pokémon trainer was watching from not too far. With him, he had a brown Alolan Graveler.
"Hey you! You're Sora Ketchum, aren't you?" The trainer asked.
"Yeah. And I'm going to asssume that you want to have a match with me, right?" Sora asked.
"That's right. Let's make it three-on-three!" The trainer challenged.
"You're on," Sora said.
"Great!" The trainer said, looking at his Graveler. "You're in first, Graveler!"
"Graveler!" The Alolan Graveler said. Sora looked over to Riolu.
"All right, Riolu! You're up!" Sora said.
"Rio," Riolu said, entering the battle.
"You can make the first move," Sora said.
"Thanks. Graveler! Thunder Punch!" The trainer ordered as Graveler came over to Riolu to land a punch onto him.
"Riolu! Double Team!" Sora ordered. Riolu makes several images of himself as Graveler misses. "Now, use Force Palm!" Riolu fires Force Palm several times and it struck the Alolan rock Pokémon.
"Graveler! Use Rock Blast!" The trainer ordered. Graveler fired Rock Blast right at Riolu. Graveler's Rock Blast misses Riolu due to his Double Team in effect.
"Now, use Metal Claw!" Sora ordered. Riolu comes at Graveler with Metal Claw and lands a hit onto it. "Now use Aura Sphere!" Riolu forms a ball of blue energy and sends it right at Graveler.
"Graveler! Protect!" The trainer ordered. Graveler forms a protective barrier around itself and blocks Aura Sphere. "Now, use Thunder Punch!" Graveler comes at Riolu to land an electrified punch. "Vacuum Wave!" Riolu sends out a wave of energy and it struk the Alolan Graveler in the forehead. Graveler tumbles backwards and and has been knocked out. "No way! Graveler!"
"Ler," Graveler weakly said. The trainer took out Graveler's Pokéball and held it out.
"Here, Graveler. You should get some rest to boost up your strength," the trainer said, calling Graveler back. He looked right at Sora.
"Not bad," the trainer said, taking out a Pokéball, "now, get ready for my next one." He throws it. "Persian! Sharpen your claws!" A Kantonian Persian came out much to Meowth's disgust.
"Persian, why did it have to be a Persian?" Meowth hissed. The Digimon were at a loss to Meowth's anger.
"What's eating him?" Gatomon asked.
"Meowth has a deep hatred of Persian. Giovanni, the boss of Team Rocket has a Persian of his own," Terra explained.
"No wonder," Gatomon said. Sora calls back Riolu into his Pokéball and took out his next Pokéball and threw it.
"Go right in, Moregrem!" Sora ordered. Sora's Moregrem came out to battle. The devious Pokémon blows a raspberry at Persian. The classy cat Pokémon snarls as he laughs at Persian.
"Persian! Power Gem!" The trainer ordered as Persian fires Power Gem right at Moregrem.
"Use False Surrender!" Sora ordered. Moregrem pretends to surrender and gave it a smack with his hair. Persian didn't get a chance with Power Gem.
"Persian! Slash!" The trainer ordered.
"Play Rough!" Sora ordered. Moregrem heads right towards Persian to deliever Play Rough. Persian avoids the imp-like Pokémon and slashes right at Moregrem. "Now, use Iron Tail!" Persian came in swinging its tail at Moregrem.
"Dodge and use Play Rough!" Sora ordered. Moregrem heads right the classy cat Pokémon. Persian's Iron Tail misses and starts to pummel Persian.
"Power Gem!" The trainer ordered. Persian heads right towards Moregrem and fires Power Gem right at Moregrem and he goes flying right into the air and lands right on the ground. Moregrem had been taken down.
"Moregrem," Sora said as he went up to the devious Pokémon and helped him up. "You okay, Moregrem?" Moregrem groaned in response. "Get some rest, Moregrem. You deserve a good long rest." He calls Moregrem back into his Pokéball and his opponent does the same thing with Persian. The trainer took out his next Pokéball.
"Okay, Slowbro! Go for it!" The trainer said as he threw it and a Slowbro came on out to battle. Sora looked right at Pikachu and he nodded.
"Go for it, Pikachu!" Sora said.
"Pika!" Pikachu said. Pikachu went on in to battle the hermit crab Pokémon. Slowbro glares right at the mouse Pokémon and cracked its knuckles.
"Pikachu! Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu fires Thunderbolt to shock Slowbro.
"Use Protect!" The trainer ordered. Slowbro forms a protective barrier and blocks Pikachu's Thunderbolt attack. "Now, use Scald!" Slowbro fires hot water right at the mouse Pokémon.
"Dodge it!" Sora called out. Pikachu runs to avoid it, but Slowbro lands a perfect hit with that hot water.
"That water looks hot," Gomamon said.
"Scald is known to leave burns on the opponent even if it's a Water Type attack," Aqua said.
"No wonder it's called that. I think I'm getting burned just thinking about it," Biyomon said.
"Me too. Yeow," Hawkmon said.
"Slowbro! Zen Headbutt!" The trainer ordered. Slowbro moves in to deliever a Zen Headbutt onto Pikachu.
"Volt Tackle!" Sora ordered. Pikachu runs with an electrified tackle. Pikachu lands a hit onto Slowbro and it goes flying right into the air and lands right on its stomach. "That's the way, Pikachu!"
"Get up, Slowbro!" The trianer called out. Slowbro slowly stands on its feet. The hermit crab Pokémon having trouble due to its injuries. Pikachu suffered a recoil damage from Volt Tackle, but he was still standing.
"Zen Headbutt again!" The trainer ordered. Slowbro comes in again with Zen Headbutt.
"Quick Attack!" Sora ordered. Pikachu avoids Slowbro and lands a hit onto Slowbro. "Now, Thunderbolt!" Pikachu gave off Thunderbolt and it did some heavy damage due to the its weakness to Electric Type attacks and landed on its belly, beaten.
"Bro," Slowbro said.
"No way!" The trainer exclaimed in shock.
"Good work, buddy!" Sora said.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu said.
"I'm so proud of you, Sora!" Kairi praised her boyfriend. Sora smiled.
"Thanks, Kairi," Sora said. Kairi gave him a kiss on the cheek, making Lucas and Dawn blush at the romance in the air.
"You're good, Sora," the trainer said after he calls back his Slowbro. "It's no wonder."
"Thanks, man. Your Pokémon are really something," Sora said.
"Say, you should try the hot srping hotel up ahead," the trainer suggested.
"Hot spring hotel?" Sora asked.
"Yeah. I was there over a month ago and it's a good place to relax at. It's so good, even the Rock Type Pokémon don't seem to mind the water," the trainer said.
"Just where is that?" Sora asked.
"Just over to the next town.And it's very nearby," the trainer said. Dawn stepped right in.
"Did you happen to meet a girl named Leona by any chance?" Dawn asked. This surprises Lucas.
"Leona?" Lucas asked.
"Now that you mentioned it, I did meet a girl who goes by that name. She and her parents runs the place. Why? Do you know tham?" The trainer asked.
"I do. And so does he," Dawn said, poiting to Lucas.
"Oh yeah, she was in our pre-school class. I haven't seen her in a long time, but I do remember that you and her keep in touch with each other," Lucas said.
"It must be nice to know that your old friends are doing well. Anyway, I'll be off and I'll be seeing you," the trainer said. He takes his leave as Dawn smiles.
"Say, do you remember if the place allows Pokémon to take part of it?" Terra asked.
"They do. It caters to the needs of both people and Pokémon," Dawn said.
"That's good to know. Let's get a move on," Sora said.
With that said, Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Lucas, Dawn, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and the Digimon all started to make their way to the hot spring hotel to relax for the night. Glameow catches up with the group and followed them to see where they were going.
Over to the hotel, a girl is standing outside with her three Swinub. She has orangish-brown hair and is wearing a green jacket with a yellow sweater, salmon pants, and tan shoes.
"All right, listen up!" The girl instructed.
"Swinub!" The Swinub all said.
"It's about our hotel! We're in the middle of some hard times! Go?" The girl asked.
"Nub!" The Swinub said.
"That's why I'm counting on your help, now more than ever!" The girl said. "So, can I depend on you?"
"Nub, Swinub!" The three Swinub said. The girl beamed.
"Thank you!" That's exactly I wanted to hear!" The girl said.
"Leona!" Dawn called out. She repsonded by turning to her left. The Swinub turned to the direction she was looking at. She sees the group all run up to her with a wave. The girl was surprised to see them.
"Lucas! Dee Dee!" Leona said. Dawn lost her posture as she got closer to Leona.
"Please! I've had just about enough of that name!" Dawn exclaimed.
"Okay, I give! It's been such a long time! It's great to see you!" Leona said.
"It' great to see you too!" Dawn said.
"And look at you, Lucas! I don't believe it!" Leona said.
"I haven't seen you for so long, I hardly recognize you," Lucas said.
"So, how's the hot spring biz?" Dawn asked. Leona froze when she was asked that.
"Uh... To tell you the trugh things have been a little bit slow lately," Leona said. "I saw you on TV competing in one of your contests! I saw that you won the Solaceon Pokémon Contest! I was amazed!" Dawn smiled.
"Thanks," Dawn said.
"And what about you, Lucas? How many Gym Badges did you win?" Leona asked.
"So far, I won only two," Lucas replied, showing her his Gym Badges. "I'm going to earn my third one."
"I'm glad you're doing great! And we're going to cheer you two on to victory," Leona said.
"So, are you two going to introduce us to your friend, already?" Ventus asked.
"Ven, don't be rude!" Kairi scolded.
"No, it's okay, Kairi. Leona, we want you to meet some friends and rivals of ours. This is Sora and his cousin Ventus, but we call him Ven. The big guy here is Terra and the girl is Aqua," Lucas introduced.
"And this is Kairi, she's Sora's girlfriend. And this little Eevee is Angel," Dawn introduced.
"And these are the Digimon with us. Meet Agumon, Gabumon, Veemon, Wormmon, Tentomon, Biyomon, Palmon, Gomamon, Patamon, Gatomon, Hawkmon, and Armadillomon," Lucas concluded.
"Hello there. You've all caught me working hard at being a Pokémon trainer," Leona said.
"That's great," Sora said. Ventus looked right at the Swinnub.
"Hey, cool! Swinub!" Ventus said.
"Swinub?" Palmon asked.
"They're pig Pokémon. Swinub are Ice and Ground Type Pokémon," Ventus said.
"That's right. These three Swinub are all mine And they're the only ones I have so far," Leona said.
"Judging by how they look, they seem to be well taken care off," Terra said.
"Thank you," Leona said. She turned to Dawn and Lucas. "So, you two boyfriend and girlfriend yet?" Lucas and Dawn both blushed.
"Um, no," Lucas and Dawn answered at once.
"You sure? You answered at the same time," Leona teased. Lucas and Dawn blushes as Lucas scratched the back of his head.
"So, let's go have a look at the hot springs," meowth suggested.
"Good idea, because I could use one," Aqua said. An anime-sweat drop comes down the left side of her cheek.
"Um, about that," Leona said. "It's not ready."
"No need to worry. I'm sure I can find it myself," Dawn said.
"Yeah!" The rest of them all said as they all went to change. Leona tried to warn them, but it was no use. Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Lucas, and Dawn all changed into their swimsuits to check out the hot springs. All of their Pokémon were all out to take part of the hot springs.
"The healing waters in this hot spring are supposed to be good for anything and everything that's ailing you, no matter what," Dawn said.
"I'm in first!" Meowth said as he stepped right in. The rest of them all did the same thing, but they all saw how cold it was. "I think they should change the name from a hot spring to a cold spring."
"And not only that, but it's so shallow," Terra said.
"Hey, what gives?" Sora asked.
"I tried to warn you!" Leona called out as she and her Swinub heads right over to the group. "The hot spring's not flowing right now!" Everyone all gasped. Everyone all got out to have a talk with her. "I guess you tell how embarrassed I am, right?" She chuckles nervously.
"What's wrong with the hot spring?" Kairi asked.
"Last week out of nowhere, the water just stopped flowing. The source of the hot spring is located up at the top of that mountain. The water flows from a huge pipe running down the mounstainside, and when it stopped, mama and papa went up to investigate," Leona explained.
"I see. That exlains why you're here alone," Dawn said.
"Right. I really wish you could all check out for yourselves how relaxed and refreshed our hot springs can make you feel. But at this rate, if things don't change for the better, we'll just have to close up the hotel for good," Leona said.
"Wow," Dawn said.
"I was looking forward into a little R and R, but then this happens," Lucas said.
"Well, what can you do?" Dawn asked. Leona then perked back up.
"Hey, no need to worry!" Leona said. The rest of the group all smiled.
"There's no doubt those two grew up together," Terra said.
"Like two peas in a pod," Sora said.
"Pika, Pika," Pikachus said.
"Eevee!" Angel agreed.
"That's when I worry the most," Dawn said.
"Dawn, I'm serious. My Swinub are on the case," Leona said. "They promised to find another hot spring to tap into."
"This takes me back. Remember the three Swinub that were learning to search for hot springs in Johto?" Sora asked.
"I do. Your Piloswine was helping out before he evolved into a Mamoswine," Kairi said.
"That's cool for Swinub to find hot springs," Ventus said.
"Glad you feel that way, Ven. On top of that, I've even taught my three Swinub how to use Dig too," Leona said.
"Awesome! Just what I'd expect from you," Dawn said. "That reminds me. You remember that bully who claimed the entire jungle gym as his castle?"
"How can I forget? That guy never did learn how to share with anyone," Lucas said.
"Yeah, we took him on as a team," Leona said.
"That's right! What we need to do is work as a team! That way we'll find the hot spring before you know it!" Dawn said.
"Sounds like a plan, Dawn. We'll lend a hand too!" Kairi said.
"Count me in," Sora said.
"We're all in it together," Veemon said.
"Pikahu!" Pikachu said.
"Vee!" Angel said.
"Thank you! Hey, let's go!" Leona said. The three Swinub went on ahead to find the hot spring. "I'm certain there's got to be another source for the hot spring hidden somewhere else up on this mountain." The Swinub kept on going as they picked up the scent on went on ahead.
"They found the source of the hot spring!" Leona said. as she followed them.
"That was easy!" Agumon said.
"Let's go!" Gabumon said as they all followed the Swinub downwards. Glameow jumps from tree to tree to follow them some more.
Over to Mammothmon and Frigimon, they froze the entire area much to their liking, even the water was frozen.
"That's much better," Mammothmon said.
Back to the group, the Swinub kept on leading them and they alert Leona on what they found.
"You found something?" Leona asked as the group caught up with them. The Swinub points them in the directions and sees something very unusual. "What is that?"
"I don't know, but it doesn't look very natural," Sora said.
"Let's have a closer look," Leona said. And that's what they all did when they all saw how the whole area had turned into a frozen wasteland. "What the?"
"This can't be where the hot springs are, can it?" Meowth asked.
"Whatever caused this is mostly here with us right now," Armadillomon said.
"I hope you're wrong about this, because I am not interested in dealing with anymore surprises, but I am getting used to disappointment going on snce we got here," Hawkmon said.
"But I know it's the hot srping, because I can smell the steam fro somewhere," Leona said.
"So can I," Agumon said.
"We better keep our eyes open for anything," Sora said.
"Speaking of anything, we should have seen that anything by now," Wormmon said.
"What do you mean?" Leona asked.
"You mean, there's someone or something here with us?" Gabumon asked. Just then, snowballs are being thrown at the group.
"Snowball attack!" Sora exclaimed.
"Pika!" Pikachu said. as they all ran all around. The source of the snomballs were the Frigimon themselves.
"Who are they?" Ventus asked.
"Walking snowmen, maybe?" Meowth asked.
"Those are Frigimon!" Agumon said.
"Frigimon?" Leona asked. Kairi took out her Digidex to get information on them.
"Okay, those are Frigimon. They all have bodies made entirely out of ice and snow. And that their friendly Digimon, but they don't look like the friendly kind to me. They're Champion level Digimon. They're known attack is Sub Zero Ice Punch," Kairi explained.
"So, those abominable snowmen were behind this," Sora said.
"What do you plan on doing up here?" Tentomon asked.
"We plan on turning this whole mountain into our own winter wonderland, but it looks like we'll have to deal with all of you!" One of the Frigimon said.
"Not if we have anything to say about it!" Gomamon said. He started to Digivolve. Leonaa was shocked to see Gomamon glow like that. "Gomamon Digivolve to... Ikkakumon!" The Frigimon weren't intimated by Ikkakumon's appearence. "Harpoon Torpedo!" He fires his missle attack and it comes on down at them. They're hit by the blast of Ikkakumon's signature attack. The Frigimon all started to retreat. A Wooper comes on down and they spot a Wooper with something on its tail.
"Guys, this Wooper's got something on its tail," Sora said, holding it up.
"Wooper, Wooper," Wooper chirped.
"That Wooper belongs to mama and papa," Leona said.
"Is that Leona?" A man's voice asked.
"I think so, dear," a woman's voice answered. The group turned to see her parents. "Look, it is Leona!"
"Wow, what a coincidence!" Leona's papa said.
"Hi Leona," Leona's parents greeted.
"Mama, papa, come on down," Leona said, waving at her parents. Leona's parents came down to have a talk with their daughter and her friends.
"So, Leona, what in the world are you doing up here?" Leona's papa asked.
"I'll bet the same thing you are," Leona said.
"Your dad and I were right in the middle of giving the pipes a good once-over to see if there was a leak somewhere," Leona's mama said.
"But there wasn't a leak anywhere. As it turns out, that the water was frozen solid. The smell was still in the air, so what we saw was a large creature that looked like a wolly mammoth and it was freezing everything around it," Leona's papa explained.
"So, those Frigimon aren't the only ones here," Ventus said.
"Uh-oh," Sora could only say.
"Pika," Pikachu agreed.
"You don't mean, that's there's one more up here?" Kairi asked. The sound of a mammoth's trumpet is heard as Mammothmon came roaring out.
"Kairi, you definitely called it. That is a Digimon," Sora said, taking out his Digidex. "Mammothmon. It says that he's an ancient beast Digimon and is at the Ultimate level. Mammothmon has Tusk Crusher and Tundra Breath."
"That's gotta be the ring-leader!" Leona said.
"Absolutely," Biyomon said.
"We can take that thing," Gatomon said as she jumped. "Lightning Paw!" Gatomon tried to take him down, but Mammothmon easily took her down with a swing of his trunk. Agumon and the rest of the Digimon all started to Digivolve.
"Agumon Digivolve to... Greymon!"
"Gabumon Digivolve to... Garurumon!"
"Veemon Digivolve to... Veedramon!"
"Biyomon Digivolve to... Birdramon!"
"Tentomon Digivole to... Kabuterimon!"
"Palmon Digivolve to... Togemon!"
"Wormmon Digivolve to... Stingmon!"
"Patamon Digivolve to... Angemon!"
"Armadillomon Digivolve to... Ankylomon!"
"Hawkmon Digivolve to... Aquilamon!"
The Champion level Digimon charged right at Mammothmon.
Greymon, "Nova Blast!"
Garurumon, "Howling Blaster!"
Birdramon, "Meotoer Wing!"
Togemon, "Needle Spray!"
Ikkakumon, "Harpoon Torpedo!"
Angemon, "Hand of Fate!"
Gatomon, "Cat Laser!"
Veedramon, "V-Nova Blast!"
Stingmon, "Spiking Strike!"
Aquilamon, "Blast Rings!"
Ankylomon, "Tail Hammer!"
"Tusk Crusher!" Mammothmon shouted as he fires at the Champion level Digimon and they all fell on the ground. Ikkaukumon kept on going.
"Come to papa, elephant boy!" Ikkakumon said as he leapt right at the mammoth-like Digimon. Mammothmon grabbed him and threw him on the ground.
"You're no match me!" Mammothmon said. "Tundra Breath!" He fires a stream of ice at Ikkakumon. The walrus-like Digimon was struggling to get back up on his feet.
"Ikkakumon!" Ventus said.
"Gotta keep going," Ikkakumon said. "Harpoon Torpedo!" He fires at Mammothmon again. It does nothing to him.
"Tusk Crusher!" Mammothmon shouted as he fires at Ikkakumon again and he struck Ikkakumon again. Ikkaukumon tumbles backwards. Ikkakumon started to glow again. "What?"
"Ikkakumon's Digicolving!" Lucas said.
"Ikkakumon Digivolve to-" Ikkakumon started to transform. Ikkakumon transformed into a humanoid walrus with a single horn on his head similar to a unicorn, albeit barbed at the tip. He has orange fur on his face, left arm, and feet, and a mass of furry, red-tipped tails. He wore a sea turtle'sshell bolted to his back, "Zudomon!" Mammothmon started right at him. Sora took out his Digidex again.
"Here we are. Zudomon. A sea beast Digimon and at the Ultimate level. He carries a large hammer and uses it to use Vulcan's Hammer and Hammer Boomerang," Sora said. Mammothmon carged right at Zudomon and he charges right at Mammothmon. The Ultimate level Digimon held on. Zudomon held on to his tusks. Zudomon gave the mammoth-like Digimon a toss to the side. Zudomon held out his hand as a bolt of lightning comes on down and a large iron hammer is forged and he held it in his grip.
"Vulcan's Hammer!" Zudomon shouted as he swngs his hammer right on Mammothmon and he dissolves into bit of bits of data. Zudomon reverts back to his Rookie form. All of the other Champion level Digimon all revert back to their forms except for Gatomon.
"Good work, Gomamon," Sora said. said.
"Thanks," Gomamon said.
"So, how about we have a look at the frozen water," Agumon suggested. With that said, they went to the source and saw how frozen everything all frozen. Glameow was watching the battle go on. Glameow continued to follow them. The found the frozen water. Sora took out Chimchar's Pokéball and tossed it.
"Come on out, Chimchar!" Sora called out. Chimchar awais for Sora's instructions. "Okay, Chimchar! Turn up the heat with your Flamethrower." Chimchar does exactly that as the water starts to warm up. Agumon helps out with making it hot again. The intense heat was warming up the whol area. The Frigimon saw that it was going to get warmer again and again, so they did the only thing they could do. They started to run, only to be met with Devimon.
"So, you failed," Devimon stated.
"We're very sorry, but it's just it's now getting hot here and they took out Mammothmon, so now we don't stand a chance against them," The first Frigimon said.
"Excuses. Just because Mammothmon has fallen in battle, the first thing you do is flee. It would seem that letting you in was a mistake after all," Devimon said. Jut then, a white version of Devimon has shown up behind the Frigimon. "IceDevimon, won't you take care of them?"
"With pleasure," IceDevimon said. The Frigimon all turned around and saw him. "Frozen Claw!" IceDevimon swipes at all of the Frigimon and they all dissolve into bits of data.
"Well, done, IceDevimon. You were right about them after all," Devimon said.
"Of course, Devimon. I was glad that you called me right over," IceDevimon said. "Is there anything else I can do for you while I'm at it?"
"Yes. Guilmon, Terriermon, Renamon, Lopmon, Gaomon, and Lalamon are here in the real world as well, so lord Myotismon wishes for them to be destoyed. Along with their human friends as well," Devimon instructed his icy counterpart.
"It shall be done," IceDevimon said, taking his leave.
The group were taking their leave when they were confronted by the wild Glameow.
"A Glameow," Ventus said.
"You don't think that's Zoey's, isn't it?" Veemon asked.
"No. It's a wild Glameow," Meowth said.
"Meow, meow, meow, meow," Glameow purred.
"Glameow is saying that she was following since before we got here and she wants to test her out," Meowth translated as he points at Kairi.
"Me?" Kairi asked.
"Meow, meow," Glameow said.
"She says she wants to test you," Meowth translated.
"Hey, I think I know how to do it. I was thinking of a battle. Let's make that a double battle," Leona suggested.
"A double battle?" Everyone questioned.
"Yeah, and I know who I'm partnering up with," Leona said, turning to Dawn. "What do you say, Dawn? You in?" Dawn smiled.
"You know I am!" Dawn said.
"And let's make it with Kairi and your talking Meowth," Leona said.
"What?! Me?!" Meowth exclaimed in shock.
"Come on, Meowth. You did okay in that one battle with a Probopass," Sora said.
"If memory serves, it was a double battle and it was with Swampert. He wanted to wring me out along with Probopass and that Golem," Meowth said.
"I'm surprised that she didn't ask me into it," Sora said.
"Same here," Lucas said.
"So, Glameow, what do you say? You wanna test me out, right?" Kairi asked.
"Meow," Glameow said. Kairi, Dawn, and Leona got into position as Leona was using one of her Swinub and Dawn as going with Piplup.
"Ready, Swimnub?" Leona asked.
"Nub," her Swinub replied.
"'Kay Piplup, you ready to go?" Dawn asked.
"Piplup!" Piplup said. Sora checked out the attacks the Glameow has.
"Kairi, Glameow has Slash, Attract, Feint Attack, and Play Rough!" Sora said.
"Okay!" Kairi said. She turned to Meowth. "Let's do this, Meowth."
"Okay," Meowth said. "Here goes something."
"Swinub! Tackle on Meowth!" Leona ordered. Swinub runs towards Meowth to land a hit.
"Better dodge!" Meowth said. He moves to the left as the pig Pokémon. "That was close.
"Piplup! use Peck on Glameow!" Dawn ordered. Piplup comes at the catty Pokémon to land a peck.
"Use Attract on Piplup!" Kairi ordered. Glameow winks her right eye at the penguin and several pink hearts appear around the user and then shoots towards Piplup. Piplup trips and Attract misses.
"That was close," Dawn said.
"Sure was," Leona said.
"Here comes my Fury Swipes!" Meowth said as he ran towards Swinub.
"Dig!" Leona ordered. Swinub burrows underground to avoid Meowth's claws.
"Glameow! Use Feint Attack on Swinub!" Kairi ordered. Glameow dashed right at Swinub and runs around it. Glameow then smacks it with her claw. "Now use Slash!" Glameow gave Swinub a Slash on the mark.
"Piplup! Bubble Beam on Glameow!" Dawn ordered. Piplup fires Bubble Beam right at Glameow. The bubbles lands a hit onto her. "Now, use Whirlpool on Meowth!" Piplup forms a large whirlpool and sends it right over to Meowth.
"Uh-oh!" Meowth said. He ran to avoid it, but it came too fast for Meowth to dodge. It sucked in Glameow as well. "Now, I know how socks in the laundry feel!" Glameow grabs Meowth by the tail and threw him out. Glameow jumped right out too.
"No way!" Dawn exclaimed.
"Say, let's give it our all like we did with that bully!" Leona said.
"Yeah!" Dawn said. "Piplup! Bubble Beam!"
"Swinub! Blizzard!" Leona ordered.
Piplup and Swinub fire their attacks right at the two cat Pokémon.
"Play Rough!" Kairi ordered.
"And here comes my Slash!" Meowth said.
They both ran on towards them. Meowth lands a Slash onto Piplup as Glameow gave them a series of beatings. Both of Piplup and Swinub fell on the side after taking a bad beating. Dawn and Leona had lost the battle.
"Good work, Glameow," Kairi said, petting her.
"Meow," Glameow purred.
"That was a good battle. How about we go for that hot spring?" Leona offered.
"That'll be great," Meowth said.
So, everyone all went for the hot spring and they all took part of the warm water pouring from the mountain.
"This is heaven," Aqua said.
"I'll say. I never felt so relaxed," Gomamon said.
"I feel like I can stay in here forever," Palmon said.
"Me too," Ventus said.
"I got to say, this is great," Sora said. "I'm glad that one guy suggested this place."
"Same here," Terra said.
"Glad you enjoy it so much," Leona said.
"So, what happened with that bully you were telling us about?" Gabumon asked. They all turned to see he's still out of the water.
"Why are you just standing there, Gabumon? Why not just take off that fur coat and soak in here with us?" Sora asked.
"I would like to, but I'm too embarrassed to be seen without it. I'll be completely naked without it. And I don't mean literally," Gabumon said. "Besides, I'm fine right where I am."
"Gabumon won't take their fur off for anything," Biyomon said.
"Maybe he can just go in with it on," Ventus asked.
"Then he'll stink. He'll smell like wet dog," Gatomon said.
"Anyway, to answer your question about that bully Dawn and I took care of," Leona started. "He was taunting everyone. So, we had enough of him. We dared him to come on down and we both took him on. We started off by calling him a little crybaby and he came on down and he charged right at him. And we beat him. After that he never bothered anyone again and everyone got to see his true colors."
"Man, that's quite a story," Sora said.
"It sure was," Kairi said. She looked right at Glameow. "So, how about it, Glameow? You saw what we can do, so how about joining our team?" Glameow beamed and nodded.
"Meow," Glameow said.
"Great," Kairi said. She took out a Pokéball and she flows inside it. Stars swirls around her Pokéball to confirm the catch. Kairi's Pokémon Box activates and it asks her if she wants to keep Glameow with her. She chose to send her to Professor Oak's lab.
On the very next morning, the group stepped out to take their leave of the hotel.
"Thanks for letting us stay for the night," Lucas said.
"Sure thing," Leona said. "And Dawn, before you go, there's one more thing I want to say."
"Sure," Dawn said, walking up to her. She whispered into Dawn's ear.
"You better confess your feelings to him soon," Leona whispered. Dawn blushed, but she smiled.
"I will," Dawn whispered back.
With that said, they took off for Veilstone City once again and Sora's fourth Gym battle is just around the corner.
