Chapter 19 Urd

Xehanort's POV

"I don't think that this is a good idea."

But I didn't listen...and I opened the door.

And when I did...Heartless spilled out!

They chased me and Eraqus out of the cave, where the rest of our classmates were waiting for us.

"What happened", Urd asked.

"There was this door and Xehanort opened it", Eraqus revealed. "I told you not to open it!"

"I'm sorry", I apologised.

"The apologies can wait 'til later", Violet stated. "Right now we need to stop these Heartless!"

"Right", Baldr agreed. "Come on everybody! We can do this!"

With that, my classmates and I fought to stop the Heartless.

There were quite a lot of them and it was very tiresome, but we eventually managed to defeat them all...or so we thought.

"Is that all of them", Hermod asked as he panted.

"I think so", Bragi replied as he panted.

But he was soon proven to be wrong, as the ground began to shake.

"What's going on", Vor asked as she held onto my arm to balance herself.

"I don't know", Violet replied.

We got our answer, when a Heartless appeared.

But it wasn't any Heartless, it was...

"A Darkside", I said in dismay.

"That is not good", Violet pointed out before looking at the rest of us. "You guys get out of here! I'll hold it off!"

"No way", Baldr exclaimed. "I just got you back! I'm not leaving you now!"

Before Violet could say anything to her brother, the Darkside plunged his fist into the ground and the impact made all of us fall.

"Go now", Violet commanded. "I'm not asking again!"

After saying that, Violet turned around and charged at the Darkside!

"Violet", Baldr yelled out in dismay as he reached out to his sister.

He tried to go after her, but Eraqus and I held him back.

"Let go of me", he commanded as he tried to get out of our grip.

"Listen to your sister", Eraqus commanded. "She can take the Darkside. We need to get to safety!"

With that, we all tried to get away from the Darkside.

But then, something happened. Something truly terrible.

As I was trying to run away...I tripped and fell.

The Darkside's fist came racing towards me, but it was not me that was struck down.

It was...Urd.

I could only watch in horror as she fell to the ground.

"Urd", I yelled before cradling her in my arms, tears beginning to fall from my eyes. "Why?"

"Did you forget already silly", Urd asked. "I promised that I would keep you safe."

My only reply was the tears falling from my eyes.

"Urd", everybody else held as they ran up to us.

"Hang in there Urd", Hermod demanded as he held said person's hand as tears began to fall from his eyes. "Please just hang in there!"

"I'm sorry", Urd apologised. "Goodbye."

With that...Urd's body started fading away...until...it disappeared completely.

Urd was gone.
