She was done with all the tasks for the week. It was hell of a week full of work, work and work. Jin told her to send the files as soon as she finished and come to his room to briefing.
She sent the files but there was a disconnection on the net. Then the lights went out. Within seconds the generator started to run.
She got up quickly and got her pistol ready. Something was going on, that was for sure. Her first destination was gonna be Jin's office.
She gotta be fast and careful. Gotta calculate every possibility. Might it be an attack? Who might it be? What do they want? How they will attack?
She reached his office. There was no light coming from under the door. She slowly opened. There was a dim light, turning on and off continuously. She could see him sitting on the chair. When she got closer, she realised he wasn't moving. His eyes were closed and he didn't seem like he's breathing. She tried to feel his pulse from his neck, he was freezing cold but she could feel very very weak pulse.
"Kazama! Hey! Talk to me!" she was shaking his shoulders to wake him up.
What happened to him?
Is he dying?
Am I too late?
Who did it?
Then suddenly, his eyes has opened but they were glowing in the dark. Before she could understand anything he suddenly grab her neck and started to choke her.
"Urgh! What- Are... you... doing?" She was trying to get away but he was too strong, even for him.
"Kazama! Let.. me... go!" She was fighting for a breath.
His eyes started to turn back to normal brown and his grip on her neck loosened. This time she managed to get away from him. She fell to the ground and gasped for some air while coughing non-stop.
She sensed he's coming back, looked on his face to see his eyes were silver again. She crawled on the floor to get away from him while still coughing.
She managed to get up and started to defend herself when he attacked. But he was faster and stronger than the normal. She could only escaped the attacks, she couldn't even throw a punch. She got tired but he didn't seem to get tired at all.
He push her into the wall by her chest and pinned her onto the wall.
"I will teach you fear." his voice wasn't his anymore. It was more mechanic and she could feel the vibrations in her heart. She was scared, truly. She didn't remember when was the last time she was scared.
She felt he was getting slower again but she couldn't move. Like that flashback when she was a kid and her father asked her to do something, but she couldn't move that time too.
"Williams, go away!" this time his voice was very weak but it was his voice. He wasn't pushing her onto the wall anymore. But still, she could not move a finger. Instead she was hyperventilating, sweating, and trembling.
Then another flashback hit her after a very long time. It was the same flashback when she and Anna were in the middle of a field covered with snow. She was shaking and very very scared. Holding her sister's hand very tightly.
Then from far through the thick fog, someone showed up. Limping and coming closer.
"Dad!!" Anna exclaimed. They were both crying. Anna started to run but she couldn't move again. So Anna took her hand and made her run with herself. They reached to their father and hug him tightly. She never felt at peace this much.
She let out a relaxing breath and her vision went completely black after she could feel someone is holding her by the waist and preventing her fall.
