Chapter 26

Saturday afternoon found Sean sitting in Robert and Anna's living room. The girls were all out shopping together and that meant the boys got to spend the day together. Robert walked back into the room, Bobby in his arms all changed and happy after his nap. Sean smiled up at his friend as he entered the room. Spending the afternoon with Scorpio and his baby was never something Sean had envisioned for them but there is now a very big part of him that can't wait for an afternoon like this, with his baby there as well.

"Hey Bobby, want to come and sit with me?" Sean asked as they got closer. Robert passed Bobby to him before he sat down again. "Hi, oh you look happy now." he had gotten a little fussy before nap time.

"He'll cuddle for a little bit but then he's gonna want to go play." Robert enjoyed times like this, Sean and himself left with Bobby. He already knew as he gets older the things they do during these times are sure to change. If Sean has a son then he will get to join in the fun. Then Robert smiled as he continued to watch Sean and Bobby. What if they have a little girl, Sean will spoil her from the start.

Sean smiled at the baby in his arms, "It'll be my turn soon. I'm gonna be a dad too. Yes, I am. You are gonna have a little playmate in a few months."

"Anna and Tiff are going to love that our kids are close in age."

"Oh, I know. Tiffany already talks about all the things they can do together and you know she's planning well into the future," Sean said with a laugh looking at Robert. His friend was smiling back at him. Sean had been a spectator of Robert's life for a while now. Getting to see how truly happy he is now. Happy with his life, there didn't need to be more. It wasn't work, a big adventure or cracking that impossible case. It was his everyday life that was making him this happy. "You know, for about a minute I was terrified when Tiff told me we were having a baby."

"Only a minute?" Robert asked with a grin.

He let out a little laugh, "Yeah." He gave Bobby one of his toys then continued, "I never thought about kids. I hadn't thought I wanted them. Then the woman I love tells me we are having a baby and you know what I thought?"

"No. What did you think?"

"I thought, how amazing is this. I get to have the kind of happiness Scorpio found," Sean admitted with a grin. Robert smiled back at him, he understood what he meant by that.

"When Anna showed up at my office that day I had no idea just how much my life was about to change or the kind of happiness that would come from it. I'm pregnant. I think I said something like, are you worried it's mine. She smiled at me and it melted my heart because I knew then what she had actually just told me. I'm not worried, I know it's yours. Before she left my office I think we both knew we were going to be together. I told her that night I was going to marry her. You're right, Junior and the rest of my family, they're what makes me this happy. The life I now have with all three of them."

"It's nice, this happy life thing." Sean smiled over at Robert, "I guess we have entered the next chapter of our lives. It's just a chapter I never thought would be written for me."

"I love this chapter."

"I can tell." It was all over his face, Robert has what he has always wanted.

Bobby started to squirm a little. Robert noticed, "He wants to get moving. Just stand him up at the table here. He'll keep himself busy there for a little while."

Sean set Bobby down and standing using the table for balance he happily started grabbing for the toys that were on the coffee table. Giggling he started playing with them, banging them on the table and laughing.

"I can't wait for this. I want a little person to take over the penthouse. I want their toys and things all over the place. I never thought I would say this kind of stuff but I can't wait to be a father now."

Robert smiled, he knew Sean meant that. He is great with kids and will make an amazing father. "It's a good thing I've got a baby for you to practice with before yours gets here then."

Sean looked up at him and they both laughed at that, "Yeah, I think that's a good thing. I get a little preview of what's to come. What I should expect."

"Is that why you and Tiff are babysitting tonight?"

"Anna asked Tiff about it then my wife told me we were. That's about all I know."

Robert chuckled, "Whatever the reason is, I'm just looking forward to an evening out with my beautiful wife." It has been far too long since they have had any real time alone and he was going to make the most of whatever time they had this evening.

"It is your birthday tomorrow, I'm sure Anna has something special planned for you guys tonight."

"Yeah, she probably does," Robert agreed with a smile. Whatever she had up her sleeve he was really just looking forward to an evening alone with her.

Anna Robin and Tiffany had enjoyed their afternoon of shopping. "I think it's time to find somewhere to sit for a while," Tiffany said as she put one hand on her back, the other on her baby bump. This little peanut was telling her it was time for a break.

"Yeah alright, why don't we go to Kelly's for a bit before we finish our afternoon?" Anna suggested. Robin and Tiffany both agreed and before long they were all sitting at a table at Kelly's.

Ruby came over and greeted them, "Good afternoon ladies."

"Hi Ruby," Robin said smiling up at her.

"Just you today, where's your baby brother?" Ruby asked with a warm smile.

"He's at home with Daddy and Uncle Sean. We're having a girl's day," Robin explained excitedly.

"Oh, that's nice. I'm glad you came to see me today then."

"We're done shopping but weren't ready to go back home yet, I think we still need to do something. Mommy suggested coming here for a little break and a snack."

"Well I'm glad she did," Ruby said with her hand on Robin's shoulder. She talked to them a little longer then walked away to get their drinks. Ruby joined them when she came back, "What are you all doing this evening?"

"Aunt Tiff and Uncle Sean are babysitting Bobby while I go out with Felicia and Mommy takes Daddy out for his birthday."

"That all sounds like fun."

"Yeah Mommy hasn't told Daddy but they aren't coming home tonight. Aunt Tiff and Uncle Sean are staying with us overnight."

"Oh really?" Ruby looked up at Anna who was grinning. She looked very happy about her plans for the evening.

"Yeah, it should be a lot of fun," Robin said excitedly.

"I think we will have a great time. Maybe not as great as your parents," Tiff said as she smiled over at Anna who was now trying hard to not start laughing.

"Oh," Anna let out a little snicker, "we are going to have the best time, trust me. This will be our first night alone since Bobby was born," Anna said with a little grin. It was clear by the look on her face that she was looking forward to their night alone.

Before Anna Tiff and Robin returned to Anna's they made one last stop. Anna wanted to go by at the Port Charles Hotel so they would be checked in and have their overnight bags in the room waiting for them when she brings Robert there later tonight. At this point, Robert thinks they're just going out for dinner and has no idea what's in store for him.

They were talking happily when they walked into their house, Robert looked up and smiled at them. "Hello, ladies."

"Hi, Daddy. Where's Bobby?"

"He is exploring with Uncle Sean. Last I saw them they were heading for the kitchen." Robin quickly left the room in search of them. "How was your afternoon?" Robert asked as Anna and Tiffany came over and sat down.

"Wonderful but I'm glad we're home," Anna said leaning closer to Robert. "I want a little time with everyone before I get you all to myself."

He leaned in and kissed her tenderly, "I missed you," he whispered, then gave her another quick kiss before sitting back. Anna smiled and moved closer to him. Robert looked up again, "Are you looking forward to this evening?" he asked Tiff.

"Yes, I am. Any practice we can get before our little one gets here will be a good thing. I think we could both use it," Tiffany admitted with a laugh.

"I know you guys are going to be great parents," Anna assured her.

"I'm not really worried about that. It's the little surprises I want to be ready for. Seeing what's happening with Bobby and when it happens. I feel like I'm a little more prepared," Tiffany explained. They talked about babies for a little longer then Anna excused herself saying she had to get ready for their evening. Tiffany was now cuddling with Bobby while Robert and Sean were playing a board game with Robin. She would be leaving for her evening with Felicia soon.

Just before it was time for Bobby to eat his dinner Robert excused himself to get ready as well. "Robin's already gone and I would hate to cheat you out of the opportunity to feed Junior. Besides I have a date to get ready for," he told them as he left the living room. When he walked into their bedroom Robert was surprised the door to their bathroom was locked. He knocked, "Am I not allowed to shower before we go out?"

"Shower in the other one," came the response. "I want to look perfect for you tonight."

"You always do. You are perfect," he said through the door.

Anna rolled her eyes, she loved hearing it but knew he was just trying to get in their bedroom." Just go shower so you can get ready. Then I'll let you see me. Robert smiled as he turned and walked down the hall. He wasn't sure what she was up to but he knew he was going to enjoy himself this evening.

He was dressed in a nice grey suit he knew Anna liked when she came down the stairs. He looked up and his breath stopped as his jaw dropped slightly. Anna stood before him in a red dress. Spaghetti straps, low cut, the skirt just about her knee. He couldn't look away. "My god you look," he paused trying to find the right word, "like a dream. My god are you beautiful." He started to walk towards her, "Stunning, gorgeous." He smiled and leaned in to kiss her as he reached her. "Sexy," he whispered after.

Anna smiled up at him then stepped back and turned around for him. "You like?"

"Yes!" He took her hands, "Go give you baby a kiss goodnight, then we'll get out of here."

Anna turned and walked over to Tiffany, who was rocking Bobby in her arms. Anna gave him a kiss on the forehead, he was already mostly asleep. "Good night my sweet boy. I love you. Be good for Aunt Tiff and Uncle Sean." She squeezed Tiff's arms. "Thank you again."

"Enjoy yourself tonight."

"Oh, I know I will." They smiled happily at each other then Anna turned and walked back over to Robert. She took his arm and then they left. Once they were in the car Anna told Robert they were going to The Grill for dinner. As much as he would have liked to have done a little dancing this evening, he knew he wouldn't have wanted to go to Duke's. The only thing he wanted on his mind was Anna, not her ex or what he might be thinking. There hadn't been any problems between them lately and Robert would like to keep it that way. It was easiest when they didn't have to deal with each other.

"Is it just dinner you're taking me out for?" he asked as he pulled into the parking lot.

"Well, I might have a few things in mind for tonight." Anna looked over and gave him a mischievous little grin. He smiled back, Robert wasn't going to push. He knew she had something planned, he can tell, and it'll be fun finding out what it is. Once they were parked Robert got out, walked around the car, and opened the door for her. He took her hand and helped her out of the car. He watched the intoxicating beauty as she stepped out of the car, oh the things he wanted to do to her. "I am really going to enjoy watching you in this dress. You are incredibly sexy. You know that right?" he said quietly then leaned in and kissed her. It was a slow sensual kiss that left them both wanting more. They leaned back, seeing the desire in the eyes looking back at them.

"It's going to be a wonderful night." Anna took his arm and they walked towards the entrance.

Once inside and seated, Robert moved his chair closer to hers. Once he had, he leaned in and whispered, "I want to be able to say whatever I want and not worry about being overheard."

"I like you being this close." She leaned in and gave him a little kiss.

"I'm glad." His hand slowly stroking her bare back as they smiled at each other. "Ah, this is nice. Being out with only my extremely beautiful wife."

Anna smiled, "I love the kids but," she gave him a mischievous little grin, "it is way past time for a little me and you time."

"Are we going to get me and you time, tonight?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Of course we are," she answered quickly. Smiling as her hand moved to his leg, caressing his inner thigh, she bit her lip and leaned a little closer. "We have all night." Then she sat back and picked up her menu, a smile still on her lips as she looked it over.

Robert smiled and tilted his head, watching her. Alright, Devane just what are you up to? he wondered. He picked up his menu, maybe he didn't need to know what she had planned. He was starting to get the feeling he was going to thoroughly enjoy tonight.

They were partway through their meal and there was almost as much flirting as eating going on. Anna slowly moved her toes up and down Robert's leg, his hand on her upper thigh. "I want to be alone with you." She has been teasing him since shortly after they arrived and it was time to do some of the things they've been talking about.

Anna leaned a little closer, "I think that can be arranged," she said seductively.

Robert wasn't interested in the food in front of him any longer. All he was craving now was Anna. "Don't tease me, Annie."

Anna leaned even closer and ran her fingers up his tie, she smiled at him then bit her lip. "I want you all to myself tonight. Trust me." Wrapping the tie around her hand she held him close.

"Oh, I do." Robert kissed her passionately then sat back a little when she let go of his tie. "How much longer before I get to find out what else you have in store for me?"

"I think you should finish your dinner. You'll want the energy for later."

Robert smiled and picked up his fork again. "I don't even get a hint?" he asked with a grin.

"No, where's the fun in it for me if I tell you?"

Robert laughed a little, "Alright. I'll wait, but not that much longer."

"No?" she asked with a little grin and took another bite of her dinner. Anna watched him as he finished eating. "I shouldn't make you wait any longer." Robert looked up and saw her picked up her napkin from her lap and placed it on her plate. "I'm ready whenever you are."

Quickly he tossed his napkin on his plate. "Well, I guess I'm ready then." They were both smiling as they got up from the table. Robert came over and Anna took his arm. "Where to from here?"

"Wait and see." Anna started to move, Robert following along with her. When they left the Grill Anna led them towards the lobby, then grinned as she led him to the elevators and pressed the up button. As they waited Robert's arm went around her pulling her close. Anna turned slightly, her hand now resting on his chest. They looked into each other's eyes. As much as he wanted to kiss her, Robert knew if he started kissing her now, they would be giving Port Charles a lot to talk about. The passion, the desire, they had been fueling both through the entire meal, now he wanted her in his arms. He wanted to feel her next to him.

The way he is looking at her is making it very hard to not start kissing him right here. The elevator doors opened and Anna smiled, sliding her hand over and grabbing his tie. "Follow me."

"Anywhere!" he said with desire in his voice as he put his hands on her hips and they got on the elevator. He leaned in and whispered, "It would be more fun if we were alone." Anna just giggled looking at the other two people and pressed the button for the seventh-floor then stood with him by the back of the elevator.

Robert was standing just behind her as it started to move, Anna stepped backwards, pushing against him so he was against the wall and she was flush against his body. The little sway of her hips was all he could think about. Robert's hands sliding further down her hips, his fingers inching closer to her center. Anna smiled as he leaned down, his cheek caressing her hair. "Mmmm." Robert closed his eyes, only focusing on her and the wonderful things she is doing to him.

His touch was intoxicating, the pressure of his fingers so close but still not touching her where she desperately wanted him to. His desire pressing against her, "There should be a slit in this dress," he whispered as his right hand tightened slightly on her upper thigh.

Anna smiled imagining his fingers on her skin, "Ohhh," she moaned quietly.

On the third floor, the doors opened and the other two people exited without giving Robert and Anna a second glance. As the doors started to close Anna turned in his arms, Robert claimed her lips hungrily. Cupping her ass, he pulled her against him. "I want you, now" he groaned into her neck. Robert started to turn them, putting Anna's side to the wall as he reached for the stop button.

Quickly she pinned his hand against the wall and smiled at him. "There's no need for that." Anna bit her lower lip, slowly pulling it through her teeth as she watched him. As her free hand moved across the front of his pants.

"Feeling adventurous this evening?" he asked with a sexy grin then kissed her. Anna's hand moved up into his hair as the intensity grew. Robert leaned back when they heard the ding of the elevator. As the door opened they smiled at each other. Anna turned and led him off the elevator, staying in front of him. A mischievous grin on her face, he would follow her anywhere at the moment.

A little way down the hall Anna stopped and turned to him. "I have a little surprise for you."

"I had figured that out," he answered with a hint of a laugh.

Anna held up a key that had been in her handbag. "Our room for the night," then she glanced towards the door they were standing in front of.

"Open that door, Annie." He was smiling excitedly. They would be alone in a moment. They were through the door in an instant. Robert quickly pulled his tie off then grabbed Anna around the waist. "Thank you." He smiled at her, "This is the perfect birthday gift."

"Me?" she asked with a playful smile.

He smiled, "Yes you, and time all alone with you."

"Then enough talk. Open your gift."

"Mmmm, with pleasure." His hand slid up her back then undid the zipper on her dress. As it fell to the floor his breath caught, "Ohhh, Anna." She now stood before him a black teddy. Quickly he removed his shirt and pulled her into his arms. "Do you have any idea how sexy you are?" As her hand moved to undo his pants Robert stepped closer pinning her hand where it was. "I thought I was the one opening gifts," he teased.

"That's right you are." Anna's hands moved up his chest then around his neck. "What are you going to do with me?"

"I will make you purr with pleasure."

Her head went back as his hand moved to her moist center. His finger slid past the thin piece of material, "Oooh, Robert."

"I am going to enjoy this." He leaned in and kissed her neck as he continued stroking her sensitive nub. His lips moved along her collarbone, sending waves of desire through her body. Suddenly her legs started to feel like jelly, her breathing sped up as she clung to his neck. Robert lifted his head so he could watch her face, he slid a finger into her warm folds. Was there anything more beautiful than the look of savage pleasure on her face? He watched as she started to come undone. Her hips moving with his hand, demanding more of him. With his thumb, he put more pressure on her pink pearl, "Let yourself go." Her eyes were closed as her breathing quickened. "Yes., there you go."

"Ooohh baby," it was just above a whisper. She was slowly coming down from her release when his hand was removed and she was suddenly picked up. Anna wrapped her legs around him as he carried her to the bed.

Robert looked down at his gorgeous wife, a satisfied smile on her lips. "That's just the beginning Luv. I think it's time I open a little more of my present." Anna sat up a little more and he started to slide the straps of the teddy off her shoulders. Again Anna tried to remove his pants but he wouldn't let her. "I'll open that one too," he said with a grin making her laugh a little.

"I don't mind waiting when I get this kind of special treatment."

"That's what I thought." He finished removing her teddy, "Lay back."

Anna did as he asked but propped herself up so she could watch him. He leaned in and kissed her tenderly before slowly planting kisses along her neck down to her chest. His hand cupped her breast as his mouth claimed her nipple. As wonderful as that felt it wasn't what Anna wanted him to be doing. She put pressure on his shoulder, he lifted his head just enough to give her a little grin before kissing his way the rest of the way down her stomach.

As his lips brushed over her bud she gasped with desire. Oh, the things he could do.

Tasting her juices was driving him on. He was devouring her, Anna fell back on the bed unable to support herself. Her body was at his will and all that mattered was what he was doing. She felt the weight of his hand on her stomach. Anna was thrashing around on the bed, her hands gripping the bedspread. Arching her hips up demanding more, then two fingers entered her, thrusting back and forth, faster, harder. "Oh yes! Don't stop! ROBERT! Oh, Robert!"

Laying on the bed, breathing heavily, Anna opened her eyes when she felt him settle beside her. "You are amazing."

"I'm just getting started. You said we had all night and eventually I'll even let you take control."

"Haha, oh will you." She knew he loved when she was in control and was looking forward to it as much as she was. He leaned in and kissed her. Her hand skimmed along his back until she reached the waist of his pants. "These really need to come off."

"I think you might be right." Anna started to undo his pants as he leaned in and kissed her again. He moaned into her mouth as her fingers ran across the front of his boxers, his erection straining to be released.

"I think someone needs some attention."

Robert was now pushing his pants off as she started to stroke his rock-hard shaft. He moved between her legs, "I've waited as long as I can."

"Come here." She pulled him into her arms and kissed him hard as he plunged into her. After a moment's pause, he started to move. Oh god, she feels so good.

He pushed himself up on his hands and she arched her hips up to meet him. As he rocked back and forth lost in the feel of her it struck him that they were alone, that they didn't need to worry about being overheard. "Anna! You feel so good, Aaahh!"

She didn't know what had just happened but the intensity just went up again. An indescribable pleasure washed over her as she suddenly erupted, "YES! YES! Wholly shit Robert!"

He couldn't stop himself, he followed her into ecstasy. Breathing heavily he fell on the bed beside her. As their breathing returned to normal he looked over at her. "We are doing that several more times before we leave here."

"Yes, we are."

Robert finally looked around the room a little. "So I take it this was on the to-do list this afternoon."

Anna smiled and turned to lean on his chest, looking at him contently. "Yes it was, you got to know we were going out. I wanted to surprise you with the fact it was for the night."

"Is this why there are three people watching our kids this evening?" he asked with a little chuckle.

"Sean and Tiffany are spending the night, Robin and Felicia are just going to go out for the evening."

Lazily he stroked her back, "Thank you, Annie. This has been a wonderful birthday."

"And it isn't even your birthday yet."

"I get the feeling we won't get to celebrate like this tomorrow."

That made them both laugh, "No I doubt it." She put her head on his chest. "I don't want to think about tomorrow. All that matters is us right here, right now and all the wonderfully dirty things we can do before morning."

Robert started to laugh. "Yeah, I think it's time for a few more of those dirty things." Anna grinned and kissed him passionately.

No part of their evening was wasted.
