The clang from the Iron Man armor echoed through the stone passageway. Bobby looked up at Peter who was clinging to the ceiling to try to get a better angle into the room ahead of them. "Backup is here."

Tony paused and looked over at Steve and Bucky. "When did we get relegated to backup."

Steve shrugged and knelt down next to Johnny who's flames where dull but still glowing in the darkened corridor. "Do we have Windsor?"

Johnny nodded. "He's got a lot of support. Some human, some mutant."

Steve frowned. Human he could deal with, mutant was a wild card. "What kind of abilities?"

Bobby looked down at Steve from his position against the wall under Peter. "Two that we've identified. One that seems to be able to pass a kinetic charge into...well anything. He threw a clipboard at us and it almost brought down the ceiling. The other one..."

Johnny sucked in a breath. "Is Amanda. I'll deal with her."

Tony glanced over at Johnny, temporarily taking his eyes off his HUD and the information about the occupants in the room at the end of the hall. "She's compromised?"

Johnny growled. "I said I've got it."

Peter crawled down the wall and landed between Bobby and Iron Man. "I think..."

"No...pretty sure you didn't think but we can discuss that later." Tony fought the urge to launch into all of them about how risky their plan had been. "There's ten of us...in a tiny, crowded hallway. Based on what you've seen, can we take them?"

Peter cringed internally. This lecture was going to be in the realm of the one when he'd gotten his suit taken away. "Yes sir. Johnny and I will go high. Davis, take Steve and Bucky and portal to the other side to cut them off. You and Bobby go through the door. Wyatt, Warren, and Doug have the rear. Guard our six and take down anyone who gets through."

Tony nodded and turned to stare at Bucky when he detected a snicker. "Of course the kid has a plan. It's in his genes...literally." He glanced around at the group. "You heard him." He waited for the nods before moving into position. He could deal with the boys after this was over.

Natasha stepped over an unconscious guard, noticing the webbing around his hands. She had no idea where to start looking for Windsor or the boys. Usually when she went in, she was familiar with every ingress and egress. Right now, she was just winging it and following the unconscious bodies that littered the hallways.

She glanced unobtrusively back at her unexpected companion. A werewolf was a first for her. It was interesting and she supposed she'd be good in a fight but the unknown factor was enough to give her pause. She turned her full attention back to the hallway in front of her. She could hear sounds of movement. Tensing, she pressed herself against the wall. Whoever it was, they were making an effort to stay quiet.

Sam brought his arm up to block the hit instinctively. He felt the punch pull back before making contact. His eyes focused on the redhead in front of him. "Nat...". His eyes drifted over her shoulder, "who's your friend?"

Natasha shrugged. "Ned's doctor. Have you seen Spidey?"

Sam shook his head. He could unpack the wolf-like creature later. "No, but I keep coming across his handiwork. The guard I was with got a call over the radio about a breakout. I'm assuming it's related."

Natasha nodded. "We need to find the camera room."

Sam nodded. "That's where I was headed."

Natasha fell into step behind Sam. They were only two rooms away from the camera room. Leaning on the desk she looked over the monitors. "They have help."

Sam nodded. The relief in her voice would have only been detected by those who had been around her and knew the soft spot she had for Peter and his team. "They're headed into tight quarters. We're not going to be much help." He looked at the video streaming from the hallway that seemed to contain all of Peter's team, Tony, Steve, and Bucky, plus two from Xavier's group.

Natasha nodded as she studied the room. "Where do these passageways lead?" She could see doors lining most of the walls in the room, some of them appeared open, others shut.

Sam leaned over, eyes flickering across the monitors. "I don't think there are cameras in any of them." He focused on two of the open doors trying to see what lay beyond. "It's too dark to see."

Natasha pushed up. "Ok, we're backup. They'll split attack, probably leave two or three in the hallway to guard their six. We need to cut off other egress routes. Let's find out where those rooms are." She turned when she heard paper rustling behind her.

Dr. Russell stood in front of a schematic hanging on a cork board. She traced the hallways with her claws. "They're not on this map. In fact, that room doesn't even show doors." She studied the map a moment longer. "I don't think this room sits below the building. There may be an access point outside."

Sam looked at Natasha. "Outside?"

She debated for a moment. The idea of leaving on a hunch was bothersome but Windsor needed to be captured. They weren't going to be of much help in tight quarters but maybe they could help contain the situation. "Outside."

Tony entered the room seconds before Steve and Bucky erupted from the portal on the other side of the room. He focused his first shot on Windsor, taking the man completely off guard. What he didn't expect was the shield of fire that erupted seconds before his repulsor blast should have hit its target. A flash of flames shot above him, tackling Amanda to the ground.

Johnny struggled to hold Amanda down. "What did he do to you?" Flames entwining, he realized the only thing giving him the upper hand was gravity and leverage. "Amanda, look at me."

Vacant eyes stared back at him. "He gave me power." The flames flickering from her turned a violent red as she shoved Johnny off of her and into a wall. Rising to her feet she looked around at the clashes occurring around her. It was a large enough room, almost circular in structure, giving everyone room to fight.

Steve and Bucky were in the process of taking out most of the guards in the room. It left the few that had formed a shield around Windsor and the one they assumed was the mutant with kinetic powers. Bobby formed a block of ice around the latest thing that had been hurled at him to contain the explosion. "Why are you helping him?"

Narrowing his eyes, Remy looked at the man of ice in front of him. He had asked himself that same question multiple times before. "Because he helped me." He didn't like his answer any more now than he did all the times he had given himself that answer before.

"He's experimenting on people like you and me. It's not right." Bobby blocked another charged item, cringing as it exploded before he had fully contained it. Rock and stone fell from the ceiling and wall around him. He either needed to get his opponent to stop or take him out of the fight. If he wasn't careful, another charge would bring the ceiling down on top of them. "You have a choice. Decide which side you want to be one...the one that experiments on mutants or the one that fights against it."

Remy laughed. "I've never had a choice." He picked up one of the rocks that had fallen and started to charge it. Before he could launch it at his opponent, ice spears pushed him against the wall as ice formed around him, pinning him to it.

Bobby stepped closer. "Look around you...you do now."

Remy looked around. Super soldiers, humans, and mutants working together with a common enemy...Windsor. His eyes focused back on the man of ice. "You better be right." Manipulating the kinetic energy he broke the ice holding his arms and threw the rock at one of the open doors, collapsing the stone around it. He watched with a certain amount of satisfaction as Amanda collapsed to the ground gasping. He looked back at the man of ice. "I don't understand it but whatever is behind those doors is how he controlled her...maybe even boosted her power."

"And you?"

Remy picked up another stone and charged it. "I didn't need to be controlled...we'll see about the power." He hurled the stone at the other open door, watching the stone collapse around it as well.

Windsor looked over at Remy. "What have you done?" Seeing the battle playing out in front of him, he used his guards as shields and made his way to one of the passages.

Peter glanced over at his dad and knew he had seen Windsor make a run for it. Flinging a web he swung across the room and flipped to land behind Iron Man in the passageway Windsor had taken.

"Keep your eyes on your HUD and that Spidey sense of your on full alert. We have no idea what kind of abilities he has." Tony glanced back at Peter who was trying to move in front of him. "You're not bullet proof so I'm on point." He paused a moment, fully taking in the suit Peter was wearing. "What did you do...borrow the suit from Miles?"

Peter fought back a growl of frustration. "Well I couldn't have used any of mine, could I...you would have known I was up to something." He paused as a dot lit up on his HUD. "What's FRIDAY seeing?"

"Enhanced individual. Biometrics aren't quite as perfect as yours but they're close." Tony changed the settings on the repulsors their highest output. His goal was definitely ending this quickly.

"Tony, we've got everyone wrapped up here. We're on your six. Do you have Windsor?"

"He's about 100 yards ahead of us. He's quick and has the benefit of knowing where he's going. Follow the yellow brick road and you'll find us." Tony quickened his pace to stay ahead of Peter.
