Across the Clover Kingdom, people would turn their head towards a sound that hadn't been heard in nearly a decade.
Inside Hage's Church, Father Orsi and Sister Lily awoke from their sleep. Even at this distance the roar shook the window panes. All they could say was a single name, in worry and fear.
"Helen."
Chapter 34: Trapped in their own Skin
I watched in horror as the memory of the only other time Helen had transformed came into my mind. We were just kids, on a cold December night when she and I had gone after Yuno after he was gone for far to long. A drunk man having stolen his pendant.
I was rooted on the spot as she became stock still, eyes blood red as she stared at the full moon, chest rising and falling with each deep breath. Seemingly calm on the outside. Then her mouth became a snarl, drawing back to reveal her teeth growing. Her black hair became the same brown as her tail, body growing as her fists clenched in anger. Fur ripping through her clothes. My sister's face morphed into one of a monster.
Her head tilted back as she unleashed a horrible roar, her immense power shaking the ground and shattering boulders around me and the captains. She stood above the blasted hole in the roof of the cave. Licht landed with his generals. "Now our two greatest enemies will kill each other. A fitting end for a black hearted Saiyan and the humans that killed our families and friends. It's a shame that the foreigner is caught up in all this, but he chose his side. Valtos, take us away."
The lined faced man's grimoire glowed as he summoned his spatial magic. "Of course master."
I stood with my dual blades. "Damn it. HELEN FIGHT IT! I KNOW YOUR STRONGER THEN THAT STUPID...!" I couldn't finish what I was shout as Yami grabbed me and lunged out of the way. Helen's massive fist having decimated where I was standing.
"Tsk, her power grew by ten times. I've never felt a Ki like hers, and she was attacking with pure ki... What ever your sister is... I should have taken her into the Black Bulls." He threw me down. "She's trapped in her own skin like this." He took a final draw from his cigarette before he threw it to the ground. "You should run kid, you aren't in any shape to fight."
"I CAN'T THIS IS WHY WANT TO BE THE WZARD KING! TO MAKE SURE HELEN CAN BE FREE FROM THIS!" I gritted my teeth as Helen looked at us, only for Captain Jack the ripper to lash out at her, a slash of magical energy crashing into her chest, but she just walked through it, energy gathering in her maw.
"Now this is a worthy challenge!" The scared captain cheered as he nimbly dodged out of the attacks way, the beam melting and vaporizing the stone as the winds threatened to take us off our feet.
"Mercury Creation Magic: Silver Hail." Captain Nozel pounded on Helen's back with his magic. She roared in anger as her tail slammed down at the Captain. But Captain Charlotte used her Briar magic to pull him out of the way.
"You want to save your sister, fine, then let's both break our limits." Captain Yami smiled at me. "You best be ready." He picked me up by the top of my head and threw me at her. Helen looked at me, primal rage in her giant ape eyes. her massive fist came right at me, on instinct I spun in the air slamming my wider blade down on the top of her fist flipping my self over her attack and landed on the back of her hand.
"Not bad kid!" Yami leapt up next to me slashing into other hand, darkness coating his blade and shallow wound as we ran forwards up her arm towards her face. "Asta! USE ALL OF YOUR SENSES! FEEL WHERE HER NEXT ATTACK IS COMING FROM SENSE IT OUT! FIND HER WEAKNESS!"
I knew what he was talking about, the ki sensing he had talked about when I was fighting Valtos, leaped up as the arm we were running on pulled back and came back at us in the middle of the air. "ASTA!" I Heard Gauche yell as my smaller blade glowed with the light of me mirror magic. As Helen's fist closed in on us, I swung it spinning in the air. A circle of light raced up her arm blood spraying out as she roared in pain.
The two of us landed on our feet and dashed out her massive feet as they stomped down at us. 'Where is her weakness!' I was starting to sense her better as the two of us dodged her slamming attacks. Head snapping back and forth until the two of us locked our eyes on the base of her tail. "HER TAIL!" I shouted to Yami over Helen's roars.
"Dman right kid!" The air around him seemed to darken, my second sword grew heavy as though it was absorbing the dark magic that flowed from his Katana. The same black magic rolled of it as the other captains attacked Helen, Charlottes briars entangling her upper body, Nozels barrage keeping Helen off balance.
Yami and I dashed to either side of Helen, slamming into the caves walls and pushed off them with all our force, flying right at the base of Helen's tail. "RAAAGGH!" I shouted as the two of us cut through her tail.
Helen roared in pain as a massive beam of energy escaped her maw, her flailing head causing it to shot across the land scape, setting fries and slamming into mountain sides. Gouging deep trenches in the ground, Helen started to shrink down fur retreating from her body, hair returning to normal. She fell to the ground and I ran to her dropping my weapons as I pulled off my jacket and wrapped it around her naked body. "Helen!"
But she didn't respond. Eyes closed as her breath came in short gasps, blood dripping from numerous wounds, arm all but ruined as I could see the color of bone through her skin and muscles. "Flame Healing Magic: Holy candle light." I looked over at Sister Theresa, blood dripping from wounds, she must have been hit by shrapnel. "Asta, Helen will alright." She said as her magic stopped the bleeding from the large wounds.
Not far from the battle field were three individuals. Luna's green hair fluttered in the wind. "A pureblood... I have to alert Aaron and the council. And the other Agents have to be put on full alert." She turned to the two, "Gather Judas, Barnabas, Lemos and Abagail. I will report this to the council in person."
She took off running in the snow towards the far north. "Licht, reborn but he..." She said to her self unsure of what the future held.
I awoke in a cold sweat. "Helen!" I looked over at Asta as he sat by my bedside. Dark bags hung under his eyes. Behind him was Wizard King Julius and a man with blue hair.
"Good to see your awake Helen." Wizard King Julius said as he put a hand on my shoulder. "Asta stayed awake with you every step of the way. I hope you don't mind, but I had Marx examine your memories while you were asleep to see what happened. And what of your old life you had remembered."
"A dedicated sibling indeed." Marx said. "Helen, I am sure you know this, but you haven't fully recovered your old memories, it's a miracle you recovered what you did." The man said. "Your birth name is Kamla. A warrior to a race known as the Saiyans who live on a world with a blood red sky." He said as he created images of a white stone and metal city city with red sky and red water ways in the middle of a crater filled desert.
"That is my home..." I said as I looked at the still image.
"There is another detail we found in the scraps of your memories. Two words, but no image or person to go with it." Marx said. "Princess Kamla. You were born a Royal Helen."
Sorry for the delay. This chapter is a bit shorter. With my new job I just haven't had much time to work on fics.
