For those of you reading my other story, TFA: Different Angle, know that I have not given up on it, I've just been slowly working on the next chapter. Can't say for sure when I will update it, but know that I intend to one day.

Anyway, here is Operation Bumblebee part 2. I hope you like it. PS sorry for any errors lol

Transformers Prime: The Medic's Assistant

Chapter 36: Operation Bumblebee Part 2

Disclaimer: I don't own Transformers Prime

(Autobot Base)

Everyone now back at base, the bots/humans gathered around Bumblebee as he laid unconscious on the medical berth.

"Of all the scrap brained ideas," the medic said angrily to Bulkhead, "taking Bumblebee into a potential chase scenario when he no longer has the ability to access his wheels!"

"He improvised," Bulkhead said in defense.

Ratchet turned his attention to Stormracer. "And you agreed to cover for him?!"

Stormracer shamefully looked down.

"Hey, Bees waking up," Raf said.

"Ow," Bumblebee bleeped as he sat up and held his helm. "What happened? Did we get the relic?"

"You already lost your voice box and your T-cog, were you really trying to add your spark to the list?!" Ratchet asked, now scolding him.

Bumblebee sadly looked away. "I really am useless."

"Don't say that, Bumblebee!" Raf said, "you're not useless!"

"Look, I hate to break up the pity party, but the cons just added unknown Iacon payday number two to their armory," Arcee reminded everyone.

"Neither blame nor praise will modify past events," Optimus said, "but, we cannot afford to take further unnecessary risks. Bumblebee, you are not to leave our base. Not until we can retrieve your missing bio mechanism."

Optimus walked away with Ratchet following after him.

"I could have gotten the relic from Knock Out if I had my wheels," Bumblebee said sadly.

"Don't beat yourself up, Bee," Stormracer told him, "its not your fault."

"But it is my fault!" he said as he held his helm, "if I had been more careful, I wouldn't have gotten my T-cog stolen! I would have gotten that relic with no problem! Face it Storm, I'm useless!"

"No you're not!" Rafael said to him, "Storms right, stop beating yourself up! Just because MECH took your T-cog, that doesn't make you useless. You're still great no matter what."

"Raf's right, Bee," Bulkhead said, placing his servo on Bumblebee's shoulder. "And don't worry. We'll make sure you get your wheels back."

Bumblebee looked around at his friends and gave them a small smile.

After a while, Ratchet came back and spoke with Bumblebee. Hearing his news, the scout's optics widened in shock.

"You want to give me your T-cog?" he asked.

"I don't rely on my T-cog like the rest of you, and I spend most of my days here in base rather than out in the field," the medic said, "it would make sense for me to donate my T-cog so you may be whole again."

"Ratchet, I... are you sure?" Bumblebee asked, very unsure about accepting it or not.

"I have already decided," Ratchet said. He then turned and looked at Stormracer. "Obviously since I am the other patient involved, I will be unable to perform the surgery. Therefore, you must serve as my proxy."

Stormracer's optics widened. "Say what now?!" she asked nervously, "you want me to... but I've never- I mean, yes I've helped you with surgeries before, but- but- me performing one? On Bumblebee and you?! Wh-why not ask Optimus? He has steadier servos."

"Steady, and much too large to be routing around beneath my hood," the medic said.

"Then why not ask Arcee?" she asked, "her servos are smaller than mine."

"Stormracer, you have nothing to worry about," the medic said, "the others will even stand by in case you require their help. I have complete faith in you."

Soon as he walked away, the femme moaned. "That's what worries me," she said.

"Hey, don't worry," Sierra told her, "you've said Ratchet taught you a lot about repairing bots."

"Patch jobs are one thing," she said, "taking a biomech out of a bot and putting it in another bot is completely different!"

"You can do it," the girl said, "Ratchet believes you can, and so do we."

Stormracer let out a vent, still feeling unsure. "Right. Shouldn't be hard, right? Just going to be performing a T-cog transplant. No pressure."

"Does this mean that Bumblebees gonna transform into an ambulance from now on and be all cranky?" Miko asked, "cause that would be weird."

(Time skip)

Both the scout and medic on the medical berths, Stormracer connected a cable to each of them. Once the cables were secured, she went over to the computer.

"Inducing stasis," she said to Ratchet.

Bumblebee looked over at the medic. "Ratchet, I-"

"Ep ep," Ratchet said, "you can... thank me... when its over." His optics closing, he fell into stasis.

Stormracer then looked at the scout. "Okay, Bee, your turn."

Just then an alarm started going off, making everyone alert.

"What's happening?" Raf asked.

"Ratchets flatlining!" Miko exclaimed in a panic.

"No he isn't!" Arcee said as everyone looked at the computer screen.

"It's an Iacon homing beacon," Optimus said.

"If we're picking up a signal, it means the cons just unearthed another relic," Bulkhead said.

Optimus looked at the bots. "Autobots, prepare to roll out!"

"Let's go!" Bumblebee bleeped as he got up, only for Optimus to stop him.

"Except for our patients," the Prime said.

Bumblebee whined sadly as he sat back down.

Optimus looked at Stormracer. "Perhaps for the time being, surgery can wait until we return."

"Yes!" the femme cheered, though she quickly changed her tone as she looked at the Prime, "I mean, yeah that's probably a good idea." Hitting a button, she interrupted Ratchet's stasis.

Soon as the others left through the groundbridge, Stormracer vented in relief before walking over to Bumblebee.

"Sorry about postponing surgery," she said.

He vented. "Don't worry about it. Not to sound ungrateful, but it doesn't feel right taking Ratchet's T-cog. I'd rather have my own."

Stormracer put her servo on his shoulder. "I know," she said.

"Prime!" Agent Fowler said as he popped up on the computer screen, "breaking news!"

Bumblebee immediately rushed over to the computer. "Agent Fowler, what is it?" he bleeped.

"Huh?" Fowler asked, "where's Prime?"

All he got was a bunch of bleeps from the scout.

"Look," the human said as he started talking slowly and clearly, "let him know, I've just received access to satellite imagery, which I believe pinpoints the center of operations of MECH."

Bumblebee's optics widened. "MECH?!" he bleeped, "where are they?! What are their coordinates?!"

"Oh for the love of-!" Agent Fowler said as he face palmed himself, "give me someone who speaks something other than bleep!"

"I can help," Stormracer said as she and the kids stepped into view.

"What?!" a still out of it Ratchet exclaimed, "do I hear a Fuzor in need of voice box repair?!"

"What's a fuzor?!" Fowler exclaimed, "what's going on over there?!"

"I am able!" the medic said as he sat up, "just ask Bantor! He was all mandrill before I, put a tiger in his tank...!" He then fell back on the berth and went out again.

Agent Fowler looked at the others in confusion.

"He's fine," Stormracer assured him with a sheepish smile.

Bumblebee looked at her. "He knows where MECH is. This is my chance to get my T-cog back."

"But Bee," Raf said, "you heard what Optimus said about leaving the base."

"I have to, Raf," the scout said, "that way Ratchet can keep his T-cog."

Jack looked at the liaison. "Send the coordinates, Agent Fowler," he said, "we'll, make sure Optimus gets em."

Fowler gave him a look before sending the coordinates. Soon after he hung up, Bumblebee looked at the medical assistant. "Come on Storm, let's go!" he said.

"We should at least call the others," the femme said.

"They're busy," Bumblebee said, "we can do this. And think of it this way. I get my T-cog back, and you don't have to perform surgery."

"... Well what are we waiting for, let's go get your T-cog!" the femme said as she started pushing Bumblebee towards the groundbridge. Putting in the coordinates, Stormracer activated the bridge before joining Bumblebee in front of the portal.

"Good luck!" Sierra said.

"We'll hold down the fort here," Miko said.

"Be careful," Raf said.

Bumblebee gave him a thumbs up. The two autobots then disappeared through the bridge and stepped out into a wooded area. It didn't take long for them to stumble upon a warehouse.

"Huh," Stormracer said, "a lot nicer than their other place."

Bumblebee glared at the building. "Let's do this."

Making their way down the hill, Bumblebee pounded his fists as they approached the door. It didn't take long for them to break the door down and make their way inside. Sure enough, they saw MECH agents in the room with their weapons out, along with a large robot prototype. Looking over, their optics widened in shock when they saw a certain flyer standing there.

"Starscream?!" Stormracer said, "you're working for MECH now?"

He frowned at her. "I am not working for them! I've made an alliance with them."

She looked over at the prototype and frowned as she studied it.

"You like?" the white haired human asked, gaining her attention, "MECH's latest project. A shame you two won't be around long enough to witness it."

Stormracer recognized his voice. "Let me guess," the femme said, "you're Silas."

"And you're Stormracer and Bumblebee," Silas said, "I know all about Team Prime and the decepticons, including how you all function."

"Give me back my T-cog!" Bumblebee said angrily.

Starscream grinned as he pointed at him. "No T-cog!" he said, "he's unarmed." He then fired a missile at the two as MECH started firing.

Both her and Bumblebee dodging the missile, Stormracer activated her EMP generator. "I'm not!" she said before firing a pulse at Starscream. The pulse hit him in the head as he let out a yell and fell onto his back.

Seeing the ex con down, Silas brought his attention back to the intruders. "Take em down!" he ordered his men.

The MECH agents continued firing at the two autobots. Bumblebee and Stormracer shielded themselves as the scout looked over at the prototype.

"My T-cog has to be in that thing," he said.

"Then let's get it back," Stormracer said.

The two fought back against MECH, easily swatting them away and disarming them. Stormracer looked up in time to see Starscream getting back up. The seeker seeing her, he growled as he activated his blasters and fired at her. She dodged in time and fired back with her EMP. It wasn't long until she found herself fighting him hand to hand. He tried slicing her with his digits as she dodged him, waiting for an opening. Soon as she saw it, she managed to give him one hard punch and a spinning back kick to the torso. Grunting in pain, the seeker staggered back before evilly chuckling at her.

"So, the medical assistant learned how to fight and now she thinks she's a warrior," he said as he flexed his digits, "I'm going to enjoy tearing you apart."

Noticing a small metal object near her pede, Stormracer kicked it at his helm just as he went for the attack. It hit him between the optics, making him stop and angrily yell while holding his face. Taking the opportunity, Stormracer ran towards him and leaped into the air, giving him a side kick to the torso. The kick sent Starscream flying back into the wall, knocking him out as he fell to the ground. No sooner after she kicked him, Stormracer clumsily fell to the floor and landed on her back.

"Ow," she groaned as she got up and dusted herself off, "Arcee makes it look so easy."

She felt shots being fired at her from behind, making her look to see a group of MECH agents firing at her. Frowning, she approached and swatted them away with one swipe, sending the humans flying back. One scrambled back to his feet and went to grab his weapon laying on the floor, only for Stormracer to stomp and crush it under her pede. The human fearfully looked up at the giant autobot looking back down at him.

"Pretty sure this is the part where you run away," Stormracer said.

The MECH agent did just that as he turned around and ran, making the femme snicker. More shots were fired as Bumblebee grabbed a large metal barrel and rolled it at the humans, knocking them over like bowling pins.

"Strike!" Stormracer cheered.

The MECH agents now dealt with, Bumblebee turned around and leaped onto the prototype. Prying it open, he reached inside and grabbed his T-cog.

"Got it!" he said as he pulled it out. Just then a blaster shot hit him in the chest, making him fly back and crash to the ground.

"Bee!" Stormracer shouted, only for a blast to hit her from behind. She let out a yell as she flew forward and tumbled to the ground close to her friend.

Bumblebee's T-cog fell to the floor as Starscream stepped forward, deactivating his blaster.

"So close, and yet," Starscream said tauntingly.

Silas looked at Starscream as his men rushed out of the base. "Our location and prototype have been compromised!" he said angrily, "destroy the intruders and meet me at the rendezvous point, with my T-cog!"

"I am not one of your foot soldiers!" Starscream argued as Silas ran off, "I am a consultant!"

Stormracer groaned as she tried getting back up. Seeing Starscream picking up Bumblebee's T-cog, she forced herself up and aimed her EMP at him.

"Give us the T-cog, and I won't fire three pulses at you again," Stormracer said as she charged up her weapon, "I'll do it!"

Starscream only reactivated his blaster and pointed it at the T-cog. "You even try, and his precious biomech is scrap," he threatened.

Bumblebee got back up and glared at him. "Give that back!" he bleeped.

"Or you'll what?" the seeker asked, "shoot? How sad, to be incapable of achieving vehicle mode, experiencing the sensation of speed. How very pathetic to be a failure of an autobot."

"He's not a failure!" Stormracer said angrily, "just give us the T-cog and we'll let you go."

"Hmmm," Starscream said as he pretended to think. He looked back at her and grinned. "I don't think so. If Bumblebee wants his T-cog so badly, he shouldn't have allowed the humans to take it from him."

Furious, Bumblebee charged and threw a punch, making the seeker scream as the yellow bot's T-cog flew out of his servo. Seeing his biomech in the air, Bumblebee jumped up to catch it.

Stormracer looked over to see Starscream pointing is blaster at the T-cog. Immediately she rushed over to stop him, but it was too late as he fired the shot. The T-cog was shot out of Bumblebee's servo as he tumbled to the floor.

"No!" Stormracer exclaimed.

Starscream knocked her out of the way and leaped onto the prototype.

"Time to jet!" the seeker said, "because I can!" Transforming, he flew off through a hole in the roof.

Stormracer rushed over to Bumblebee who was sadly picking up his damaged T-cog.

"You okay?" she asked him.

"Yeah," he said, "but my T-cog..."

"Hey, it's still in one piece," the femme said, trying to be optimistic, "Ratchet can repair it. It could still work."

"What if he can't?" he asked, "what if he can't fix it like he can't fix my voice box?"

Stormracer vented as she put her servo on his shoulder. "Listen, Ratchet may not have been able to repair your voice box, but that doesn't mean he won't be able to repair your T-cog. Just give him the chance to try."

Bumblebee looked at his T-cog before looking back at her with a nod. The two walked out of the base to see the others arriving. Bumblebee held up his damaged T-cog for them to see.

"Ratchet, reopen the groundbridge," Optimus said into his commlink, "and prepare for surgery."

Bulkhead vented. "Thanks to me, Megatron has the forge."

"The what?" Stormracer asked.

"The relic we were after," Arcee said, "the forge of Solus Prime."

Stormracer's optics widened. "Solus Prime? As in the Solus Prime?"

"We could have used it to make anything," the two wheeler said, "even a new cog for Bumblebee."

"While we would have put the forge of Solus Prime to valuable use, I do not believe we have reason to fear Megatron's possession of it. It's power can only be welded by that of a Prime."

Soon as they returned to base, Bumblebee was back at medbay as Ratchet looked at his T-cog.

"It's still intact, but the damage is severe," he said as he looked at Bumblebee, "I can attempt to repair it, but I still think taking mine is-"

"I can't accept yours, Ratchet," the scout said, "please, I'd rather have my own."

The medic vented. "Very well. I'll do what I can."

After informing the others on what had happened at the warehouse, Stormracer assisted Ratchet as he went to work on the T-cog.

"I don't know if I can fix this," Ratchet said sadly.

"Yes, you can," Stormracer said, "I have complete faith in you."

He gave her a look. "Are you using my words against me?"

"Yes, yes I am," she said with a smirk. Her smirk then disappeared. "Do you really believe I could have done the surgery?"

"Would I have picked you if I didn't?" he asked, "I knew I was having you go out of your comfort zone, but I've been impressed with how much you have learned since becoming my assistant."

"Well, like I said before, I learned from the best," she said before venting, "I was just worried about doing something wrong."

"I know," he said, "I've been there many times. Even right now, I'm worried I might not be able to repair Bumblebee."

"Don't be," Stormracer said, "you're the best doctor I know. If anyone can repair Bumblebee's T-cog, its you."

He gave her a small smile before looking back at the biomech. Letting out a big vent, he continued.

(Time skip)

After the surgery, Ratchet scanned Bumblebee before walking over to the others. "I, did what I could," he said.

"Our scout could not have been in better hands," Optimus said as he put his servo on the medic's shoulder.

"And we didn't stick with plan A and let Ratchet donate his cog, why?" Miko asked.

"Bumblebee wouldn't accept it," Jack said.

Bumblebee let out a whirl as he stood up from the berth.

"Bumblebee, easy," Ratchet told him.

"I feel great!" Bumblebee said as he swung his fists around, "I'm ready to hit the road!"

"Please, recovery takes time," the medic said.

Bumblebee tried to transform, but it didn't work. "Huh?" he said.

"The damage was... severe," the medic said as he sadly lowered his head.

Bumblebee tried again, but it still didn't work. He sadly looked down before trying again. In an instant, he transformed into his vehicle form and revved his engine.

A smile spread across Ratchet's face as Stormracer and the kids cheered.

Bumblebee happily spun around in a circle before opening his door. "Where you wanna go Raf?!" he asked as he honked his horn.

"Anywhere!" Raf said happily as he rushed over and hopped inside, "just, drive!"

The muscle car then turned around and sped off for the exit, leaving a cloud of dust behind him.

"Go easy!" Ratchet shouted before laughing, "and hear to standard break-in procedure!"

"Whoa ho," Bulkhead said, "Bee's T-cog looked like it was ready for the scrapyard."

"Hard to believe the doc repaired it," Arcee said.

"That is not all that Ratchet repaired today," Optimus said.

Stormracer leaned over towards the medic. "Told ya you could do it," she said with a smile.

Ratchet smiled back at her before everyone circled around and congratulated him.

And that was Operation Bumblebee part 2! I hope you liked it. Next chapter is Loose Cannons! Yay! Wheeljack comes back and Dreadwing finally comes into the story. I do plan to have Stormracer interacting with Dreadwing in the next chapter and I'm so excited for it! Also I want to wish Katelyn happy birthday! I know you're looking forward to Stormracer meeting Dreadwing and I wish I could have had the chapter ready to update for your birthday, but I still have a lot to type out. Hopefully I will have it up soon.

Anyway, that's all for now. Until next time! God bless!
