Servants of Remnant

Chaldea is gone, but the memories remain. A world, filled with fairy tales, monsters and men. A history unlike any other. Sometimes… a hero is needed. From another world, from another time. Not all of them are great, not all of them are 'good'. But when the world needs a hero, these Servants answer the call. Perhaps only one, perhaps many do. These are the tales of many timelines. The 'Servants of Chaldea' who come to Remnant.

Sieg

"Got your mask on?" Adam asked calmly, leaving Sieg fumbling with his new outfit.

"Yeah just adjusting the strap," he said back, finally managing to get the mask on his face. Unlike the more basic masks, Adam had helped him with the disguise, and they'd… personalized it a bit. It was fairly similar to the basic mask, but he'd kept the markings on it blue, with little lightning bolts drawn into the mask under the eye slits, and the mask had a pair of 'wings' by his ears, flaying out behind his head like that of a dragon, complete with a small swirling design.

Adjusting his new coat, with its really high collar, he looked to Adam, nodding, careful not to dislodge his mask. Adam smirked before turning to the rest of the White Fang behind them. They had a squad of six men, and were to secure the Dust in his Mistralian warehouse. "Alright, you know the plan…" Adam stopped, looking around for cameras, before huffing. "Nell, you're in charge of moving the crates. Pearl, you have your guns, keep safeties on but don't let anyone shoot," he ordered. Nell, a rather tall Lizard Faunus nodded, taking his partner with him as Pearl, a bear faunus, raised her rifle before taking her own partner to hide in the shadows.

"So who's inside?" Sieg asked, looking up at the warehouse window, Adam looking up alongside him before huffing.

"Dunno, hopefully just bots." Adam explained, crossing his arms before Sieg walked forward.

"You have the rope right?" Sieg reminded him, and Adam scoffed.

"Of course I do," Adam said, following behind Sieg as the duo quickly climbed up a dumpster before Sieg boosted Adam onto the roof of the building beside them, being pulled up quickly before they both started running.

Adam bounced off the roof and onto an air vent, and from that air vent, leaping onto the warehouse's third floor fire escape. Sieg poured prana into his legs, and just before the edge of the roof, the lightning building around his legs exploded outwards, propelling him up and allowing him to flip onto the fire escape alongside Adam, who had already pulled his sword out of its sheath, slashing the fire escape's lock and pushing the door open. "Watch the fire hazard," he joked.

"I still wonder just what drives someone to lock the fire escape, from the outside," Sieg complained and Adam sighed.

"We've already gone over the SDC's… practices. I'm not surprised," Adam muttered, before walking into the building alongside Sieg, both of them looking down from the catwalk towards the poorly lit floor, not that it bothered either of the men.

"You know… I think we're going to need more than just two people carrying this," Sieg muttered, looking at the several shipping containers full of dust, leaving Adam to chuckle.

"Nell will pull through. Honestly, can't wait to see what he uses this time," He said, just before he spotted a pair of security droids on the ground floor. "I see two."

"Nell does always surprised with what he hotwires doesn't he?" Sieg muttered, before looking towards the second floor. "Five on the second floor, deactivated, but they won't stay that way."

"Also, just spotted a guy, looks like a human," Adam pointed out, and Sieg sighed, rubbing the back of his head before turning his attention towards the man in question… before quickly grabbing Adam and yanking the faunus outside the door again.

"What the hell?" Adam seethed quietly before he saw Sieg's mouth, a full on frown. "What, that guy spook you."

"I know who that man is," Sieg said quietly, before looking at Adam. "This… is going to get loud. You deal with the robots," Sieg started, and Adam put his hand on his shoulder.

"Who is it? I can handle anything," Adam said with a grimm and Sieg shook his head.

"That's why I'm telling you to deal with the robots while I distract him," he muttered quietly, before looking back at the door. "That man is very dangerous,"

"Speaking from experience then? That past of yours that you remain reluctant to share?" Adam questioned with a frown.

"Tell you what, we survive this night, and I'll tell you all about him. Just make sure you've got a full charge," he was completely calm as he said this, and Adam didn't vocally respond… but then nodded. They both stood up… before bolting through the door.

Sieg lept off the catwalk , bounding over it and drawing his blade, engulfing it in flames as he dove towards the man on the ground. Balmung answered his call… just as the man turned his head towards him, and that massive smile, that evil grin, crossed the man's face in an instant, who brought up his cutlass to clash with Balmung.

Topside, Adam had already disassembled a security droid, kicking it down into the center of the warehouse, and then spinning his sword to deflect bullets being shot at him, building up a charge as he caught Sieg leaping away from the large man, who's fine business suit was clearly hiding a massively muscular build if he'd been able to take Sieg's strike so easily.

The man smirked as he pulled at his beard, before allowing it curl back into its, surprisingly natural, upwards state. "Well lad, you've got a lot of bite behind you. So… what did I do to you?" he asked, taking a moment to pull off the very fine shades he'd been wearing, folding them with a flick and hiding them in a pocket on his suit.

Sieg remained silent as the man spoke, even over the gunfire being directed at Adam… but then the man snapped. "Ah, now I recall," he flashed that stupid grinn again. "You're one of that girl's brats… aren't you?" he said, before pulling out his rifle and firing at Sieg, who dodged out of the way of the man's bullets before speaking.

"Wouldn't you like to know, you monster!" He dashed out from behind the crate, Balmung engulfed in lightning as he took a swing, with only one hand, covered in armor. The man easily ducked back, dodging the first two swings before parrying the third with his cutlass, and then attempting to blast Sieg in the chest with his antiquated rifle. Sieg parried the bullets with Balmung, before smashing his other fist into the ground, sending a wave of electricity towards the well dressed, and well armed man. He smirked, before leaping into the air, putting away his cutlass stowing his rifle on his back, and then pulling out… an anchor with a ship's steering wheel attached to it.

Sieg pulled up Balmung, eyes flashing towards Adam for a moment, who had just finished dismantling the droids on the second floor… he needed to buy him more time. Leaping forward, he slid under the steering wheel at it was swung at him, and kicked off the ground, nailing the man in the chin with his foot before trying to stab him in the chest with Balmung mid-flip. The man swung his other hand through, and smashed Sieg in the side with the anchor, sending him soaring into a nearby wall before laughing and leaping toward him, intent on bringing the anchor down on his head.

Sieg pulled himself out of the wall before that could happen, smashing his fist into the ground and bringing up a barrier of electricity around him, stopping the anchor from connecting before flashing forward, ramming head first into the man, who's aura noticeably flickered from the blow as he stumbled backwards, cracking his neck as he swung the makeshift flail over his shoulder, pulling out his sword again. "You're a good fighter brat… and a dirty one," he smirked. "I like that."

Sieg didn't dignify that with a response, just releasing the imitation of Balmung before rushing the man again with his sword. The man brought up his cutlass, blocking the first slash, but failing to block the second, getting a minor cut to his aura from Sieg's now, much faster assault. Balmung had far more power, but the man was capable of avoiding the slower swings. If he wanted to chip away at him, and keep him distracted… he looked behind the man as he was dueling him, sword to sword. Adam had just finished taking apart the last robot, his hair alight.

He turned, rushing towards Adam and breaking off his engagement with the man. "Get back here! I ain't done with you!" He shouted, rushing after Sieg as Adam sheathed his sword, getting into a stance.

The man didn't care, something Sieg was banking on. He didn't know about Adam's power… and given he was a servant, he was willing to bet he was banking on their normal immunity to non-magical attacks to just power through Adam's assault. That would be his downfall here. Lightning engulfed Sieg's legs… and he lept.

He jumped over Adam, already flipping midair as the man barreled forward, sword raised as Adam started really glowing, the inside of his coat, his hair… and red paint on his mask.

Shing.

There was an audible slice as Adam's sword was shot out of its sheath, Wilt's red blade practically glowing with power as he connected with the well suited man's leg, aiming for a cripple, rather than a kill. Sieg was watching as the world went red, expecting the effects of Moonslice to go through…

There was a sound of Aura shattering. A splatter of blood on the ground as Adam sheathed Wilt in Blush… and then took a step backwards as Sieg landed beside him… both of them staring in shock, and perhaps horror at the man.

He was grinning, smiling even… even as he left leg was hanging onto his body by mere threads of flesh, the bone cut clean through. But he was standing as if he wasn't suddenly being deprived of one of his limbs. "What, that's it? Impressive attack… BUT NOT ENOUGH TO STOP ME!" The man shouted as he… pulled out an egg from somewhere, before shoving it in his face, downing it with a single gulp.

"What the… hell," Adam started, as both he and Sieg watched the man's leg reconnect with his body. Sieg could feel his eyes trying to pop out of his head, stopped only by the mask on his face as the man's leg finished pulling itself together, the flesh red and raw, but the only other mark of injury remaining was the tear in his pants leg… and the blood on his suit.

"You boys are gonna have to pay for that you know. This suit ain't cheap," the man said, smiling as if he hadn't just done something physically impossible. Sieg raised his sword with one hand, taking his other to his chest… he activated Man-Made Hero (false), shooting a jolt of energy into himself. This fight wasn't over. "My turn!"

The man pulled the flail off his back, and Adam was quick on the draw, slashing at the chain with his sword after a very quick charge. The anchor fell to the ground, but the wheel remained in the man's hands. "Get back!" Sieg warned, just as the man shouted.

"SANTA MARIA! DROP ANCHOR!" He slammed the steering wheel downward, a ghostly pillar of wood forming in front of him that allowed him to attach the wheel, a purple haze surrounding the man as ghostly chains erupted from the ground, quickly shooting out.

Sieg blocked one with his sword, Adam slashing at another, the pair swapping and doing the same to another set of chains before leaping away, trying to duck around shipping containers… but the chains didn't care, easily wrapping around them. The two kept swinging, separated from each other. But one chain got Adam's leg, and as he went to slash it, another got his arm, quickly enveloping him. Sieg had a similar problem as one wrapped around his neck, quickly binding him and laying him out, wrapped in chains as the man just laughed.

"Ah! That's great. You boys just had to give me a challenge didn't yeah! Feels good!" the man said as he let go of the steering wheel, both Sieg and Adam trying to look towards him. "Now, let's see what's under the mask. Boss will pay me a bonus if I bring him more… 'workers'." He man sneered, walking towards Adam.

Needless to say Adam tried very, very hard to struggle against the chains at that point. But they wouldn't budge, not for a moment as the man ripped off Adam's mask… and then stared before just laughing! "AH! Runaway property! Perfect! AHAHA!"

Sieg just stared in horror at what he saw on Adam's face… it had been the first time he'd seen Adam without his mask. The man slept in it even… the brand across his face. Adam looked at him with his one good eye, an actually terrified blue as he tried to turn his face away, only giving Sieg a better look at the SDC brand across his face.

"Oh I'm going to get a promotion for this, hehehe, AHAHA!" The man started laughing as he walked towards Sieg, looking him up and down before learning. "As for you boy… you're going to help me find her."

"N-Never." Sieg choked out, but the man just snapped his fingers, the chain around his neck tightening and causing him to choke as the man smirked.

"Don't get smart with me… I think I'll just have to give you the same treatment your friend got. That way I can't get in trouble for… punishing property." The man said with a smirk, reaching into his pocket and pulling out his shades. Flicking them open before walking over to the steering wheel and putting them on. "Now then, let's-"

CRASH!

The man had about half a second to look surprised as the wall of the warehouse brush open, a horn honking as a a massive truck rammed its way through the warehouse… and smashed him taking him, and the steering wheel he'd just laid his hands on, and sending them for a ride on the front of the truck as the driver, Nell, leapt out of the truck, letting it ride with the man practically stuck to the front of the truck as it smashed through the opposite wall, and kept going, the man howling the entire way as the truck ran into another building before finally coming to a halt.

With the man being flung away, and his magic steering wheel gone, the chains faded, Sieg dropping to the ground and grabbing his neck, gasping for air as Adam dropped as well, quickly going for his discarded mask as Nell was running over. "We heard the commotion, and Aero saw the fighting! Come on," Nell helped Adam to his feet as he shoved the mask on his face, slightly crooked.

"We need to-" there was a large crashing sound as Adam, Sieg and Nell looked towards the hole in the wall, Sieg rushing over towards it… and gasping as the truck was being moved. The man groaning as he started pushing the truck off him. And not slowly.

"We need to run, now!" Sieg ordered, and then amended "Take what we can and bolt!"

Nell whistled. "Aero! Crane!" he shouted through the other hole, the first one he'd made. The Sheep Faunus he'd been partnered with driving a crane as Pearl and her partner ran through the hole as Aero's 'commandeered' heavy equipment drove through the wall, making the hole even bigger as Nell jumped atop one of the shipping containers. Pearl and her partner started firing out the other hole, spraying bullets into walls as shouting was starting, but the man trapped by the truck was being very loud.

"Get them you! Don't let the animals get away!" He ordered, still trying to pry himself free as a spray of bullets, far more accurate than Pearl's and her partner's, tried to gun down the two faunus. They quickly ducked behind a wall as Adam ran out in front, spinning his sword and growling in anger as over a dozen security officers started spraying down the new hole in the other building's wall.

Sieg ran forward as well, taking cover as Adam did so as well, the four waiting as Nell finished hooking up the shipping container to Aero's crane, the large vehicle being driven back out the other side of the warehouse with cargo in tow. A grenade clattered into the warehouse, and Sieg quickly lept out of cover, kicking the thing towards the truck that was still trapping the other man. It exploded, and the man howled, but more in anger than in pain… and Sieg quickly recovered a bullet to the shoulder, gripping it in pain for a moment as it stung, diving back into cover as Pearl and her partner ran for the other hole, Adam looking towards Sieg.

"Let's move," he started, both of them breaking away from the fight, running after the rest of their squad as the security forces pushed up, the man at their head shouting obscenities at the faunus, and complaining about his burned suit.

As they crossed the threshold, he saw Nell in another truck, an 18-wheeler. Aero had already put the shipping container on the back of the truck as Nell was in the process of hotwiring the vehicle, Pearl and her partner, Nix, in the process of connecting the shipping container to the truck so that it was good to move out as Adam and Sieg looked back.

Both nodded, despite the danger the man possessed, they needed to get away with something. And they were only going to do that by fighting back, long enough to escape. "Time!" Adam ordered.

"Thirty Seconds!" Pearl shouted, and then Nell shouted.

"I'll be done before then!" he shouted as Aero got out of the crane and ran towards the front of the truck to join Nell up in the passenger's seat. Adam drew his sword, before aiming Blush, Sieg motioning towards Nix, who nodded and tossed his gun to him. Sieg flicked the safety off, he wasn't an archer, but they just needed to stall the enemy.

He started spraying bullets into the warehouse, the security forces taking cover behind the walls… but the man in the suit stalked forward. Adam fired Blush, nailing the man in the shoulder, and then firing a second shot… but the man just raised a gloved hand, literally ripping the bullet out of the air and growling as he pulled up his antiquite rifle, firing at Adam several times, three bullets parried, one hit on Adam, and he seethed from the sting of the bullet. Sieg turned his fire towards the man, spraying bullets wildly, but the man just kept walking towards them, weaving between the bullets as if they were a mere annoyance rather than a deadly weapon.

"Faster!" Adam ordered, rushing towards the truck as the man pointed his rifle at Adam's back, only for Sieg to rush him, rifle in one hand, and blade in the other, the used his sword to knock the man's rifle off course, pointing it towards a building as he fired, four bullets slamming into a wall as he rammed his own rifle into the man's abdomen, pulling the trigger and plugging him with bullets.

The man just didn't care, quickly kicking Sieg away before more than three bullets could leave the rifle, and Sieg took that moment to disengage as the man adjusted his shades with a gloved hand, his fine suit coated in dust and blood. "Ready a bullhead," he ordered into an earpiece, before stalking forward again.

Pearl and Nix jumped into the back of the truck's front, leaving Adam and Sieg outside as the truck started pulling away. Adam climbed on, Sieg being pulled up as they both clamored to the top of the truck, keeping low as bullets started flying by them, Adam taking a few more potshots at the man who was now looking towards the sky, and then turned towards them before pointing up with a smirk. Adam and Sieg both watched as a Bullhead flew over the compound before coming down behind them, allowing the man to hop in as it pulled back up.

"Put that pedal to the metal Nell!" Adam ordered, practically panicking. "And get Sienna on the line! We need backup!"

Sieg just watched as the man was chasing them, hanging halfway out of the Bullhead with a smile on his face. He looked towards the cockpit… and gulped in fear. Why, why was their luck just so, so bad.

The old man driving the bullhead was not easing his worries, at all. "Nell!"

"We're pushing as fast as we can!" Aero responded, leaving Adam and Sieg to grit their teeth as the bullhead started its diving run, the man laughing as he fired at both of them, before shouting something at the man inside the bullhead and ducking inside.

"Split up, prepare to flank…" Sieg warned Adam, who sheathed his sword as they watched the front of the bullhead, the man who'd been fighting them previous taking the old guy's place, and almost instantly the bullhead dived for the truck.

A blur of red shot out of the airship, Sieg barely reacting fast enough to prevent himself from getting knocked off the truck's roof as the man's foot collided with his sword, Adam fired, the man spinning off of Sieg and landing on the other side of the roof, the wind howling around them as the old man crossed his arms behind his back, his shades hiding his eyes as he frowned at them.

"Surrender," the only word the old man spoke, before Adam and Sieg just looked at each other, before nodding… Sieg pulling up his borrowed rifle and firing, spraying bullets. The man dodged as Adam rushed forward, drawing his sword as fast as he could and slashing at the man, who dodged the rapid swings as he was also dodging the bullets. Adam spun around the man, before spinning his sword defensively, deflecting the stray bullets Sieg was firing before the Caster's gun finally ran dry, and then he rushed forward.

The man now in the middle threw out his arms, wind pushing both Adam and Sieg back slightly, but they quickly recovered, rushing the man who was dodging around their slashes. Neither were in sync, but the man just kept bending in almost unnatural ways to avoid their slashes… at least until Sieg turned his sword into Balmung mid swing.

There was a resounding thud as the man was flung off the side of the truck, but landed on his feet on the road before quickly rushing after them, easily keeping pace with the truck and leaping back onto it, leaving both Adam and Sieg frowning as the man cracked his neck, and brought up his fists.

The man rushed Adam, who barely blocked the strike, but the shockwave of that strike sent him skidding across the top of the truck, nearly sending him between the cabin and the container as the bullhead rushed in front of the truck, floating before the truck several hundred feet away as the man in the suit walked towards the open side, pulling up his rifle with a smirk on his face.

But before he could fire, an explosion rocked the bullhead. The gripped the side before rushing back into the cockpit, pulling the bullhead away from the next blast as a jeep was barreling down the road towards the truck, where Adam and Sieg were still duelling the old man.

Sienna looked down at the man she had driving, nodding as the faunus beside her, a sheep faunus, was reloading the RPG they'd brought along. "If it comes back around, bring it down." she ordered, before looking at the man. "Spin this thing around."

The Faunus, a wolf Faunus, nodded, and drove straight past the truck, before putting the jeep into a spin, bringing it back behind the truck as Sienna got up, getting ready to leap onto the top of the truck as bullets started flying behind them. She turned, and groaned as several SDC vehicles were driving behind them. Because nothing could ever be simple.

Suddenly, Sieg came flying over the back of the container, and before he could go flying over the jeep, Sienna grabbed him out of the air. "Hey, don't leave us."

"Didn't plan on it," he responded, before looking behind them. "Leave the tail to me, help Adam." he said.

She nodded, before leaping onto the truck, Sieg climbing over the jeep's windshield and into the jeep's flatbed trunk. He ignored the bullets pinging off the jeep before gripping one of the metal bar's of the roll cage and hanging off the side of the jeep. With his free hand, coat flying in the wind behind him, he slammed it into the ground, kicking up dirt and seething as he hand began to burn… and a trail of electricity as being left behind them.

The first truck hit his impromptu trap, and its engine started sputtering almost instantly. He kept his hand there for several more seconds before pulling himself back up, grabbing a spare clip of ammo from the back of the truck as the tail behind them was suddenly dealing with several pursuit trucks having engine failure. He rushed to the front of the jeep, jumping off the hood and rejoining the battle atop the shipping container.

Adam and Sienna were both doing their damn best to hit the old man, who was being forced to dodge almost everything they were throwing at him. Sieg rushed in, spraying bullets from his freshly reloaded rifle.

That did the trick, the man could avoid Adam's swings, and Sienna's whip easily enough, but adding in bullets and they starting pinging off his aura. Sensing the sudden disadvantage he was at, the man quickly disengaged, leaping over Sienna and Sieg, and trying to land on the jeep behind the truck… only for Adam to rush past both the tiger Faunus and the Caster, kicking the man midair and sending him flying a bit further back that he intended… and nearly taking Adam with him.

Sienna threw out her whip, wrapping it around Adam's arm and dragging him back. He slammed into the shipping container with a groan of pain. "Warn me next time…"

"Next time don't do something so stupid," Sienna warned as Sieg looked behind them, and just continued firing bullets to hopefully discourage the old man from chasing them. The Bullhead had pulled away and was coming down behind them, likely to pick the old man up. But they'd managed to escape… somehow.

"You, owe me a hell of an explanation Sieg!" Adam complained from his place, still hanging off the back of the shipping container.

"Yeah… I'll when we get back…"

"I thought I told you two to keep this quiet!" Sienna seethed as she, Adam and Sieg were walking towards Ghira's tent. Behind them, the one shipping container full of dust was being unloaded… and it was a lot of dust. The entire container had been filled to the utter brim, which was concerning, as one bad shot could have sent everyone involved sky high from the explosion that would have resulted.

"Don't blame me, blame the guy with the stupid beard." Adam complained, and then Sieg coughed.

"She never saw him Adam…" he brought up, and Adam sighed, readjusting his mask again as Sieg removed his, Sienna just shaking her head.

"Ghira is going to have our heads over this…" she muttered.

"Hey, no one died," Adam pointed out, and Sienna just frowned at him, then looked to Sieg.

"No one died on either side of this conflict, I call that a win," he responded, and Sienna just put her hand on her face.

"You two…" she muttered, stopping, alongside Sieg and Adam as a young girl came out of Ghira's tent, all three of them politely watching as the Leader of the White Fang's daughter, Blake Belladonna left with nary a wave, walking away from her father's tent. All three of Ghira's lieutenants shared a look between them.

"Come in," Ghira ordered from inside, and all three walked into the tent, finding Ghira's very hastily put up folding table and folding chair that he used as a command desk. The large man frowning and sighing as he looked at all three of the people in front of him. "Would… any of you, like to explain why you violently assaulted an SDC storage facility… and went on a full scale chase for nearly thirteen miles?" he brought up, and Sieg was quick to raise his hand. "Speak."

"Sir… the security forces, I know the identities of the two who forced the confrontation to become violent." he said, knowing that was a lie, he'd assaulted the man in the suit of his own volition… but he doubted anyone would fault him for that in a few minutes.

"And that would be?" he started, raising an eyebrow, both Adam and Sienna looking at their mysterious friend, the normally calm and kind teen who'd joined them and had been their friend for almost a year at this point.

"The man who started this was… Christopher Columbus. Last I heard of him, he… had tried and failed at assaulting a friend of mine." he started.

"A girl? That person you were supposed to be guarding?" Adam asked, and Sieg just nodded.

"Yeah… he wanted to take her… and enslave her," that had all three of the other people in the tent stare at him. Adam grit his teeth in anger as Ghira's expression grew extremely grim, Sienna's ear twitched.

"It gets worse… He's… a very old fashioned man. He hates people that can't bring him profit. And not by work I mean. He's a slaver, or was I suppose. And about as evil as they come. And as Adam can attest, he clearly thinks of Faunus as…"

"Animals… little more than property." He seethed in anger, Ghira leaned back, and rubbed his forehead.

"He has… an ability. I wouldn't call it a semblance. Santa Maria, Drop Anchor he calls it. The ability to summon and control chains, lots of chains, if it wasn't for Nell…" Sieg gripped his throat, where the thin red line where he'd been choked out still remained.

"A dangerous man who now works for the SDC… and the other person?" Ghira said, trying very hard to maintain his calm.

"A professional. A mercenary. His name is Li Shuwen, master martial artist. At least he was a mercenary last time we met…" Sieg said, rubbing the back of his head, ruffling his hair as Sienna spoke up.

"Let me guess, another person after this girl?" she asked, and Sieg slowly nodded. "Who was his old employer?" She asked, cracking her knuckles.

"Dead… probably why he has a new contract," Sieg noted, and Sienna just huffed. Adam nodded, and Ghira spoke up.

"...Such strange individuals. You said this Columbus man has abilities that aren't a semblance? Are you certain."

"I broke his aura. I practically took his leg off! He pretty much just reattached the leg without even a care in the world, and then summoned all the damn chains!" Adam spat at Ghira, quite angry at his encounter with Columbus. Sieg put a hand on his friend's shoulder, and bull faunus calming down only slightly at the touch as Sienna looked towards Ghira.

"Ghira this can't keep going on. If the SDC is willing to hire someone like that? And when even Sieg, Adam and myself can't stop just the two of them? What happens if there are more? Sieg… just how many enemies did this girl of yours have? How many of them wanted her?"

"...I lost count," he admitted, before closing his eyes. "Last I checked… over a hundred different strange and powerful individuals have tried for her head…" Sieg admitted.

"And you don't know where she is anymore, and neither do any of these enemies she has." Ghira said quietly before sighing, and rubbing his chin. "Sienna… I know, you're right, things just keep getting more dangerous. But that is why I wanted protest to be peaceful. You three went against my direct orders here. I told you not to try and raid the SDC facility, so why did you?"

"I told them to do it to confirm a rumor." Sienna said quietly.

"A rumor Sienna? All this over a rumor?" Ghira glared at her, tapping his hand against the plastic table.

"...The one about the man getting extremely violent with Faunus… branding them?" Adam asked quietly, and Ghira looked up, and Sieg winced.

"Columbus…" he muttered. "He… when he had me and Adam he wanted to brand me." Sieg continued and Ghira leaned back and grit his teeth.

"To think I just had an argument with her about that… and I didn't believe her…" Ghira looked hurt. "Is there really no way we can do this peacefully?" Ghira questioned.

"If I may, sir," Sieg started, Ghira looking up at him, allowing him to continue. "...The girl, my friend… she once tried to do things peacefully. It worked, for a time. A lot of would be enemies, had become friends. But when she became… more desirable, when she started causing people problems… when she was unable to make friends. We had to stand up and defend her. Defend what was right. Peace and friendship, they can go a long way. They brought us a long way." He looked up towards the top of the tent, thinking back on Ritsuka, and their many adventures… times where her offers of friendship, her offers of understanding, had made friends of people many others would have fought against with haste. Moriarty… Blackbeard… Asterios… so many people. "But there came a time where our hands were forced. Where violence became the only option."

Sienna looked hopeful at that, and looked towards Ghira, who looked downcast… but Sieg continued. "We can't do away with peace. I say that we shouldn't. Humans deserve a chance. But we've reached a point like hers Ghira. We've reached a point where Violence is not long an option, it's a necessity to defend ourselves. You know this."

Ghira looked down, and took a long, and hard look at the table. "...I am aware… but… I can't. I don't want to hurt people. If we hurt people… they'll never see us as equals, just as monsters." he warned.

"Then don't." Sienna started, and Ghira looked up at her. "You have a dream Ghira. You've inspired people to stand up for themselves. You've inspired us… But you're a peaceful man. You're the man of peace… but we're warriors." she continued, looking towards Adam. "Our purpose is to protect our people…"

"But it shouldn't just be Faunus." Sieg cut her off, and quickly continued. "We give people reason to believe in us? We should protect people. Just because we aren't hunters doesn't mean we can't…"

"So we should just follow that so-called righteous path? Huntting Grimm?" Adam scoffed, but Sieg spoke up.

"I'm saying we continue doing what we do… Ghira." he said, before smiling. "Thank you… you've given me a reason to fight. I want to help people, and I want to do it right. Fighting the corrupt, and defending those who need help." Sieg said, holding his hand over his chest.

"I…" Ghira started, and then Sienna started up again.

"Ghira, Sieg has a point. Violence is something we have to be accustomed to. Not just fighting Schnee… but," she looked at the red haired boy. "But giving people a reason to believe in us, to see us as more than monsters."

"More than monsters…" Adam muttered, and Ghira looked up, and around, at the three. Before closing his eyes.

"...And what are you going to do then, Sienna? Turn us into an army?" Ghira asked, and she shook her head.

"I don't want to turn the White Fang into an army. I want to help our brothers and sisters stand up for themselves. We can protest and get shot down… or we can stand up, and make them respect us." Sienna started, as Sieg raised his hand.

"Prove to them, that we can be heroes," Sieg decided to say, a smile on his face. Ghira looked towards him… with a very soft, but sad smile.

"I see then…" he said, before pushing himself away from the table, and standing up. "Then… I guess it's time."

All three of them watched as Ghira stood up, and began to leave the tent, before following him out. They knew that in short order, things were about to change...

Sienna

She was quiet as she watched people talk amongst themselves… Ghira's announcement had come as a bit of a shock to many among the White Fang. And his offer as well. He was stepping down as leader of the White Fang, in favor of her. Which was a bit of a surprise, but not an unwelcome one.

Ghira had said he was going back to Menagerie, and any who wanted to come back with him were welcome. He'd practically hoisted her onto a pedestal to have her explain the White Fang's new direction… and Sieg had helped her explain that, their new goals as both fighters for freedom, and protectors. It was a wedge, and a dangerous one.

She saw Ghira and his daughter Blake near the edge of the camp, the young girl, only twelve years old, was arguing with her old man. She could see the pained look on his face, and on hers… at least until it ended in a hug. She turned away from that, trying to find Adam and Sieg among this mess, not wanting to witness Ghira and his daughter fighting it out.

As she neared the boys tent, she stopped, and listened closely. Adam was speaking.

"You… saw it," Adam said quietly

"I did…" Sieg said.

She was quiet, but winced. She knew about Adam's little… tattoo. He'd been hiding it for so long, hell he never took off that mask of his, so how had Sieg… wait.

"It just makes me want to stop him more. I didn't know just how bad it could be." Sieg stated.

Adam scoffed in turn, "That's what's inspired you to stay?"

"What's keeping you here?" Sieg proceeded to question in response. She leaned forward, really wanting to hear what her two friends had to say.

"Don't turn it around on me." Adam shot back, with a very small chuckle.

"Well I'll tell you if you tell me," Sieg said, and Adam just huffed.

"Well… I hate Schnee… for what they've done to me. I hate that stupid company, and everything they've done since their new president came to power." Adam started, before continuing. "Its not just hate… Fighting is… its all I really know how to do. Being a tool for violence is pretty much all I've ever been good at." he admitted, and Sienna held her breath as Sieg spoke.

"...That's what I was too. But you can move past that Adam. Be a hero, not a monster."

"I'm not a hero, and I can't be." Adam said quietly, so softly she barely heard it.

She heard Sieg stand up and move. "You already are. People here believe in you Adam, they believe in Sienna, and they believe in Ghira, to them, you are heroes… just… be a hero to more people." he finished and Adam was silent.

"...Do you really think I can?" he said after nearly thirty seconds of silence.

"Adam, you're my friend. Sienna is my friend too. Together we can change things. I'll keep both of you from becoming monsters." Sieg spoke, a cheer in his voice as Adam spoke up in response.

"And how will you do that?"

"By being your friend, by being that voice that keeps you, you."

Silence reigned for several more seconds. "Thank you… Sieg."

"Come on, let's go find Sienna." Sieg started, and she quickly and quietly scrambled away. Oh she probably should not have heard that. They were going to be so pissed if they found out she heard that.

She was quick to hide in her own tent a few meters away, pulling out a book and pretending to read, awaiting the inevitable entrance of her friends… which happened about two minutes later, with Adam punching Sieg in the shoulder lightly, and Sieg laughing as the entered. "Sienna, we need to talk," Adam was quick to say as Sieg rubbed his shoulder before putting his hands behind his head.

"Well speak then," she motioned, as Adam smirked, and Sieg chuckled.

"Hey, we're all in this together," Sieg joked, Sienna smiling as the young man finally decided to adjust his shirt. "And it's… about time I actually shared something with you two,"

"Is this about your past?" Sienna asked, and Sieg nodded, before holding up his hand.

"About that… and about what I am. I wasn't always… well I guess I could be considered a Faunus now, but…" he rubbed the back of his head, before taking a seat inside her tent, Adam closing the tent as the young man began talking.

He sat there, explaining finally just what he was. First, a human born in a lab, born for battle. Saved, by another human who'd thought he deserved to live, rather than die as little more than a biological battery. Nearly killed, before being brought back to life by a faunus with the powers of a dragon, a mythical beast only spoken of in legends. He was Sieg, named after Siegfried… the man who was practically his father now.

If his story had been unbelievable before, it got even crazier after that. She and Adam asked questions, and he continued to answer, giving what answers he could, and even bluntly stating things he did or didn't know. The reason they'd never heard of these individuals… people from an entirely different world, like Remnant, that was… gone. And they'd been trying to fix that.

That was why the girl, Ritsuka, had been hunted. For trying to save the world. For getting in the way of those who stood to gain from such destruction. Needless to say, it was a hell of a thing to swallow.

"I find it very hard to believe you Sieg," Sienna muttered after his finished regaling his tale, the boy… the Faunus before her, rubbed the back of his head.

"Sienna, we've witnessed this crap. This shit has been going on for years, remember that guy, Asterios." Adam pointed out, and she nodded, before looking to Sieg.

"So you're staying with us? Rather than going after her?" she questioned. And as Sieg nodded, Sienna smirked. "Well then Sieg… show me this 'Siegfried' then, I want to see this man."

Sieg sighed, before looking behind him at the closed tent, standing up, and being engulfed in flame for a moment, and merely a second later, the much taller form of Siegfried stood before them, looking down at Sienna.

"Oh yeah, that's a faunus," Adam said, and Sieg waved an armored gauntlet away from Adam's hand, which was going for the wings currently sprouting from Sieg's back. A few seconds later, he turned back into little Sieg.

"Well, seeing is believing I guess… but enough about the old…" she said, before pulling out a map from her chest of stuff. "Let's discuss the new direction of the White Fang,"

Adam

He yawned, rubbing his face beneath his mask… he hadn't gotten any sleep since yesterday… It had been a rather hectic night, and day, all things considered. He looked towards the sky, quietly considering everything that had happened. The new… revelations, and just where things stood.

Sieg was… interesting, but he was his best friend. Sienna was a friend too, but he trusted Sieg. The boy was just so earnest and hopeful… always seeing the best in those that had good in them. But he wasn't completely naive, he fought for what he believed in, and well… he believed very, very hard in helping people.

He stood there, looking up at the moon with his one good eye. Ghira had left, alongside nearly half of the White Fang's number… he wanted to blame them, claim that they lacked conviction… they lacked the will to fight. At least, to fight the way warriors did. He'd asked Sieg about it, and he said that not everyone was a fighter, not everyone a warrior. But it was people like them who stood between the people and those that would exploit them, take advantage of them… and decide their fate for them. Sieg wanted people to be able to make their own choices, to stand up for themselves. If they choose to stand aside, he would defend them. If they choose to stand and fight, he would fight alongside them. It was their choice to make, and from there, he would make his own. He could respect that.

He heard a shuffling behind him, and he turned, expecting either Sienna or Sieg… but saw neither. Behind him was a girl, a cat Faunus… "Shouldn't you be with your old man, Blake?" he asked.

The little girl looked guilty, before looking up at him. "We… disagreed… on the methods of the White Fang…" she started, wringing her hands before looking up at him. "I… believed we needed to fight."

"And he believes we should remain peaceful," Adam finished softly, nodding his head. "Then why come up to me kid?"

"Because I don't know how to fight… and… I want to fight to help our people." she had spunk, he'd give her that.

"You want me to teach you." he stated, rather than asked. He knew just what she wanted, and Blake nodded.

"Please?" she asked, holding her hands together, bowing to him politely. Why him? He wasn't worthy of such a thing. And if Ghira ever found out, he'd kill him…

"Are you certain Blake?" he asked, bending down on one knee to be eye level with the twelve year old. She flinched away from his mask, but then looked him in the eye.

"...Yes." she said, and Adam looked over her shoulder. Sieg was standing there, leaning against a truck, smiling. Because of course he was, the little dastard.

"Not tonight kid," he said, slowly standing up, even as her face began to fall… "But perhaps tomorrow." he added, and she looked confused… and then excited. "Run along Blake, you need to sleep." he said, patting her on the shoulder before gently pushing her towards the tent she'd been staying in. She went slowly, waving to him as she left, and he walked towards Sieg after she vanished from sight.

"An apprentice already huh?" Sieg gested, and Adam smirked before punching him lightly in the shoulder. Sieg put his hand on his shoulder, chuckling.

"So what's brought you here?" Adam asked, as Sieg started to lead him towards their shared tent.

"I just wanted to say… I don't want things to change between us… because of where I'm from… and what I am." Sieg said, worry in his voice as Adam smiled.

"Sieg, you've been with us for a year, and you came clean without anyone even having to ask. You trust us… I trust you. You're my friend, and the closest thing I have to a partner." Adam admitted, and Sieg smiled.

"The closest thing? I thought we were partners?" he said in jest, and Adam huffed.

"My mistake then… But no, I don't think anything's gonna change." he claimed, and Sieg just nodded as they walked into their tent together.

"So… this guy, who saved your life. The human… what was he like?" Adam asked, as he closed the tent flap behind him, Sieg taking a seat on the ground before chuckling.

"Astolfo is a very good friend of mine… I hope you'll get to meet him one day its just… well he's eccentric. He always makes choices without ever thinking about them." Sieg admitted, and Adam scoffed.

"So he's an airhead?" Adam questioned, and Sieg nodded.

"He is… but he's got a big heart. After all, he decided he couldn't just stand by and let people suffer… that's why he saved me… I do wonder where he is now," Sieg muttered.

"You assume he still is?" Adam questioned, and Sieg just laughed.

"Adam, when we meet him, you'll very quickly learn… nothing can keep Astolfo down. He's great like that." Sieg reminisced, clearly happy to think about an old friend… he certainly sounded like an interesting human.

As Adam laid down, to get ready to rest himself, to finally get some sleep, a thought, one he hadn't had in a long time, crossed his mind.

If a human was willing to go to such lengths to save people like that… they couldn't all be bad, could they?
AN: And thus concludes White Fang 1. Featuring Sieg, Adam and Sienna as Point of View Characters. I've decided, that since the Servants of Remnant story has so many characters, many of whom are highly important... certain chapters will be titled based on who is the focus group, or focus character. So Stuff like 'Sieg 3' will still show up, or 'Adam 1' but other chapters, like White Fang 2, or Beacon 1 may appear I might rename chapters later, but hey. I hope all of you enjoyed this extra long chapter of Servants of Remnant. Sieg, Adam and Sienna... its a hell of a ride isn't it? I hope to hear what all of you have to say soon.
