Chapter 40:

The Provisional License Exam

Summary:

It is finally time for the provisional License Exam. Will our boys be able to pass, or will they fail.

After dismissing the boys Nezu takes to adults to the conference room. He shot All Might, Hawks, and Nighteye a text to let them know the group was back. He requested they come to the conference room to get to know the othe-worlders.

All Might, Hawks, and Nighteye are sitting in the conference room when Nezu, Naomasa, Shanks, Aizawa, and 9 other adults stroll into the room. All Might can sense the power radiating off the other adults. Shanks opens the floor for introductions, he introduces the other teachers to the other-worlders and vise versa.

"Robin will be the female dorms supervisor." Nezu begins "Yasopp and Marco are going to officially be employed with Red Force, but they will a have a security contract with us at the school. Thatch and Sanji will work with Lunch Rush. Law will have the role of Apprenticeship to Recovery Girl, he is a licensed Surgeon. Mihawk, Zoro, and Rayleigh will be teachers. These are the role Midoriya came up with and I have agreed with his suggestions. Until the island is set up, and we can Staff it that will be their assignments. There is another boy in the age group of the other Class A students we will be posing as a rescue from Aizawa's and the boy's mission. His cover story was he was rescued as a prisoner from a ring of villains. He latched on to the boys because they were kind and closer in age to him. Aizawa put him in his class to watch him and help get him used to people his age."

"Will he be required to participate in the license exam?" All Might questions.

"I will be up to him, that would make things a lot easier." Aizawa sighs "If he wants to sit out and observe that is fine by me as well."

"Very well," All Might sags "How did the mission go?"

Aizawa picks up a twinge of worry in All Might's voice "We landed in the middle of a war, Shanks and I broke off to try to reach his crew for a pickup. Izuku and the other assisted Whitebeard and Marco. They were holding their own against the Marines, saved Marco, kept Whitebeards crew and the man himself alive, and were just about to escape. The Marines recognized Ace and Luffy and while I don't know the entire story; apparently, one of the Marine Admirals got into Ace's head and targeted Luffy and Shoto with a killing move. In Ace's compromised state he sacrificed himself for his brother and Shoto. He allowed the Admiral to put his fist through his chest, nearly killing him. If it wasn't for Izuku Ace would have died. The pack is pissed at him because he gave a self-hating speech with what would have been his last breath."

The look that passes through All Might's, Hawks, and Shanks' face is rage and sadness. Shanks speaks up "Admiral Akainu compared Ace to his father, called him a coward, blamed him for the deaths of everyone in the war. Ace believed him and thought if he let Akainu kill him no one else needed to die. Obviously, Akainu would have still pursued the others but Ace wasn't thinking clearly."

All Might looks on in understanding "I can't imagine how the others felt seeing Ace almost die. Poor Kids. They're too young to be experiencing trauma like that."

Aizawa smirks "They are coping just fine."

"But they are children Shota!" All Might rages.

"I know that better than anyone else, All Might!" Aizawa defends "But they have each other, not to mention they have us if they need someone to lean on. You know the boys are strong, they will most likely beat their love into Ace and move on."

All Might sighs "I suppose you are right, sometimes I forget how strong they are considering how much they have been through; a part of me doesn't want to forget they are still children."

"I just mean you care about them, Yagi." Aizawa placates.

"I can't imagine Izuku would have let that go." Hawks states.

Aizawa glares "He didn't let it go."

"What do you mean Aizawa?" Nezu asks.

"As much as I don't condone it Izuku killed Akainu," Aizawa states.

"HE DID WHAT?!" All Might shouts.

"Like I said I don't condone it" Aizawa sighs "but I understand why he did it. It wasn't like he was on a murderous rampage. He knew if he didn't give his all, they all would have died. Izuku didn't kill Akainu out of revenge or cold blood, he killed him because there was no other way for them to escape with Ace injured."

"I had to remind him that he was fighting in a war, People die." Shanks states "Yagi, the Grandline is different than here. Imagine if the villains had control over who went to jail. Bringing Akainu to justice was not an option. The Marines are the symbol of Justice in the Grandline and most of them are villains."

All Might slumps his argument dying on his tongue. "I suppose your right, is Izuku ok Mentally?"

"He has pack and Katsuki. If he is not fine, he will be." Aizawa reassures.

"What happened after the war?" Nezu asks.

"After the war, we escaped with Whitebeards crew, and Shanks' crew and were making our way to the New World. Izuku brought out his notebook of people from his dreams and we began searching. Shanks, Marco, Izuku, and Katsuki flew to another island and Found Rayleigh and Laws crew. They returned with information and left to save Law from Doflamingo a warlord." Aizawa flashes a look toward Law to go along with it.

Law glares "Doflamingo wanted me because my devil fruit has a special ability. I can only use it once as it will kill me. Izuku came and defeated Doflamingo and his Pirate crew and brought me back to the others. In exchange for saving my life, I helped make sure Ace was healing correctly."

"The eternal Youth surgery?" Rayleigh asks.

"Yes." Law goes on the defensive.

"No wonder why Doflamingo got his hands on you." Rayleigh surrenders.

"What happened after that?" Nezu asks.

"The boys didn't participate in any more fighting, we got word that Sanji was being transported to Big Mom a pirate Emperor, Whitebeard had an Ally stationed in the only spot they could have traveled through. Sanji was recused and brought to us while we were on the revolutionary's Island. Ace and Luffy recognized their long-lost brother and Dragon asked if we could take Robin to protect her from the marines. Then we came home."

"Where do the others fit in?" Nezu asks.

Mihawk grumbles out "The brat kidnapped me from the war. Impressive brat. Zoro is my apprentice."

"What do you mean kidnapped?" All Might wonders.

Mihawk smirks in memory "I am what is known as a warlord, that is a title given to 7 pirates that do the marines dirty work. I used the title to challenge strong opponents and to protect my precious people. During the war, the 7 warlords were called upon under threat that we would lose our protection, including the islands that were under our protection if we didn't show. I engaged the brat and he effortlessly blocked all of my sword strikes, obviously, I wasn't going all out he is a child. Still, it was impressive that he was able to keep up with my speed and strength with only a feather. I was trying to pull information out of him, there was no way that he would have gone unnoticed by the marines regardless of his profession. He paralyzed me and told me if I survived the war, he would tell me. After they rescued Marco and as Ace was fighting against the admirals Izuku picked me up. He was removing the paralysis when suddenly there was two bursts of Conqueror's Haki. Izuku picked me up and dropped me at the feet of his group and started healing us all."

"Why didn't you leave when you could move?" Hawks asks curiously.

"I find him interesting; I have never met someone that pure with that much power. He told me about his visions and decided I'd stick around if I could bring my apprentice." Mihawk states.

"Young Midoriya is the most heroic person I have ever met." All Might nods.

"Yasopp is one of my officers, he wanted to see this world for himself," Shanks explains.

Yasopp rubs the back of his neck "I have a boy back home, he lives with his mother, If what Izuku says is true and the Grandline will be uninhabitable in a few years. I want to make sure I can build a life here for my boy."

"That is admirable." Nezu compliments "How old is your boy?"

"He is 15 this year," Yasopp responds.

"I think we might need to make another class." Nezu considers.

"What do you mean Sir?" All Might asks.

"I'm thinking of making an underground class, depending on how many children Izuku keeps claiming. We already know there are several from the Elemental Nations that will be coming here. The adults will staff the island, But I believe we should make another class for the children. Shanks or All Might will be the teacher for it. I will talk to Midoriya to hear his thoughts on the matter." Nezu explains.

"I see." Shanks states "Knowing Izuku he will claim every 15 to 17-year-old he finds."

"Yes, it would be weird to have kids teaching on the island. So the next plausible suggestion would be to make a class for them, there will be too many to put in Aizawa's class." Nighteye states.

"This stays between us for now, I will let you all know Midoriya's thoughts on the matter after the exams." Nezu states.

"We all know he would be a distracted, planning mess when he finds out you need his help," Shanks smirks.

"I won't bring it up to him until after the exams tomorrow." Nezu agrees.

"We need to find living spaces for them." Shanks reminds.

"Robin will be staying in the Class 1-A female dorms." Nezu thinks "For tonight, do you mind sharing rooms? I will have Cementoss make a new wing onto the Class 1-A building tomorrow."

"Why Class 1-A? Wouldn't that be suspicious?" All Might questions.

"No, because Class 1-A has been targeted by the villains, especially my problem children; it makes sense that Principal Nezu would want to beef the security around Class 1-A." Aizawa deduces. "It would also support our claims that we hired out for additional security."

"This will work for now," Nezu starts "when you leave for the Elemental Nations, I'll have Cementoss start building training facilities on the Island."

"Speaking of which… All Might, did you already purchase the island?" Shanks asks.

"Yes, I purchased two islands, both of which I donated to U.A. already." All Might nods, "I went through an old friend, I trust him to keep both islands a secret."

Shanks drops it, for now, he knows the best way to keep a secret is to tell no one. This situation called for another outside source to purchase the island. He has to put faith in All Might's trust that his old friend is trustworthy.

*** Time ship middle of the night***

Shoto wakes up sweating and cold, panicked breathing, and a rapidly fluttering heart. He doesn't remember his dream, but he remembers an overwhelming and familiar feeling of terror and loss. He searches wildly for Ace and the rest of the Pack. In his panic-induced state, he fails to remember they are no longer sharing a cabin on Shanks' ship but instead they have returned to the dorms.

He tenses as he feels warm arms securely hold him to the person's strong and solid chest. Trying to get his breathing under control he releases a strangled sob. The arms around him ground him closer to reality. The soothing, familiar scent of campfire and smoke further grounds him. Awareness comes sluggishly, slowly panic subsides with every inhale. After an indistinguishable amount of time, Shoto can finally think without the overwhelming panicked edge. He clutches tightly to the teen holding him and chokes out a sobbed "Ace?"

The name is broken and buried in Ace's chest, but he knows what Shoto is asking for. Shoto needs to know Ace is here, safe, and alive. Ace hums softly "I'm here, Sho." Ace holds Shoto, as the teen releases a wounded sound, something relieved, thankful, and a touch of hopelessness. Ace rubs Shoto's soul mark, warming his fingers slightly to help relieve the tension in Shoto's frame. Shoto slumps against Ace a breathless gasp escaping his lips.

Shoto whines and frantically paws at Ace's shoulders and chest, looking for something he can't quite put his fingers on. All he knows is he is desperate and lost. There is an unimaginable, Incredible, painful, all-consuming fire burning inside him; hotter than any heat he has ever felt. "Ace, Please." He begs not sure what it is he is begging for. "It hurts" he tries to get out.

Ace stills "What hurts, Sho?" he asks.

Shoto squeezes his chest over his heart with a wince. Ace doesn't know what to do, as Shoto pants and wiggles in his hold. He wants to get Izuku, maybe Katsuki to help. If he could reach his phone, he would call Aizawa or Shanks, but he can't. He worries his bottom lip, trying to come up with a plan to get Shoto to calm down. He lights his hand on fire and gently rubs against Shoto's back.

Shoto arches in Ace's hold, his pained features relaxing into unfiltered pleasure as an almost too loud moan rips from his throat. Ace kisses Shoto all heat and passion licking at Shoto like his flames wanting to devour the teen in his lap. Ace gasps as Shoto responds hungrily consuming Ace's kiss. Shoto unintentionally grinds down on Ace's lap. He gasps as the friction stokes a new heat in the distressed teen. Shoto grinds down again seeking more friction, he moans unabashedly at the feeling of Ace's hardening dick under his ass.

Ace bucks up unconsciously as Shoto grinds down again, both moaning at the stimulation. Ace uses Shoto's frantic energy to roll them over, pinning Shoto under his form. Shoto whines as he realizes the change in positions, feeling Ace pulling away Shoto panics and grips Ace's arms painfully.

Ace chuckles softly and places a reassuring kiss on Shoto's lips. "Shh, Sho, I'm not going anywhere." Shoto whines wanting more contact, Ace holds him down and gazes into cloudy eyes. Ace battles internally, on one hand, Shoto is grinding into him and his panicked state clearly wants it; but on the other hand, they have never talked about sex. Ace isn't blind he knows Shoto isn't in his right mind. Ace needs to make sure this is exactly what Shoto wants. Ace cups Shoto's face gently with his hands wiping tears off the other teen's cheeks. "Shoto" he calls softly.

Shoto's eyes clear a little bit but not enough to convince Ace he is in his right mind. Ace calls again "Shoto, I want to help but we can't go farther if your mind isn't clear enough to tell me what you need." Shoto's eyes clear a bit more and he whimpers. Ace kisses him softly "I need you to calm down. Shoto, can you do that for me?" Ace rubs Shoto's cheeks. "Let me take care of you."

Why isn't Ace touching him? Why isn't Ace making this feeling go away? Does Ace not want him anymore? He doesn't want to feel this crushing feeling in his chest, all he wants is for Ace to take him apart and put him back together. He wants Ace to consume him, entirely surround him in his fire and keep him safe.

"Shoto?" That's Ace's voice, why does he sound worried, strained. Shoto tries to focus and drown the fear creeping up on him. "Shoto, I want to help but we can't go any farther if your mind isn't clear enough to tell me what you need." That's a good point, but how could he need or want anything else at this point. He feels so desperate, hollow, scared. He wants, no needs this distraction. He wants this pleasure to consume him, fill the emptiness he feels in his chest. He whimpers trying to convey to Ace this is what he wants. The softness of Ace caressing his cheeks and wiping his tears away is grounding. He relaxes some more, starting to come back to himself. Ace kisses him softly "I need you to calm down. Shoto, can you do that for me?" Shoto takes a few steadying breaths "Let me take of you." Shoto shudders trying to calm himself down.

"Ace?" Shoto whispers softly, most of the desperation buried so he can think clearly.

"There he is" Ace chuckles fondly "Welcome back."

Shoto groans "Ace?"

"What do you need from me, Sho?" Ace hums continuing to place soft kisses all over Shoto's face.

Shoto holds onto Ace tightly as he groans "Ace, I need you to touch me."

Ace kisses Shoto harder running his hands down Shoto's sides. Shoto arches into the touch, he feels so open, vulnerable, alive, and he wants, craves, needs more. He bucks his hips up a bit to show Ace how much his touch affects him. He whimpers as Ace trails a kiss down to his neck groaning at the shirt blocking him from Shoto's chest.

Shoto pushes at Ace's shoulders wanting to rip off Ace's shirt, giving Ace access to do the same. Wrestling their shirts off, Shoto moans as Ace enjoys discovering all the spots on Shoto's chest that make him beg and whimper for more. Shoto searches for purchase in Ace's strong shoulders needing something to ground him as Ace makes his way trailing fiery kisses along Shoto's neck to his chest, Shoto moans as Ace carefully flicks his tongue against one of Shoto's nipples.

"Ace please," Shoto begs brokenly as Ace smirks and continues licking and sucking on Shoto's nipple.

"My sweet Shoto," Ace's voice is gravelly and rough, Shoto's dick twitches in response. Shoto blushes at the breathless chuckle Ace releases. Shoto gazes into Ace's piercing onyx eyes and gasps at the desire, and love simmering in those bottomless depths. Shoto shivers with every nip, kiss, and licks exploring and cataloging weak spots on Shoto's chest and abs., Every pass of Ace's smoldering fingertips along his skin causes Shoto to arch and buck into the body above him. "Tell Me Sho." More mind-numbing kisses and touches threatens to steal all of Shoto's remaining sanity. "How far do you want me to go?"

Shoto catches the uncertainty and worry under the longing urgency in Ace's tone. He whimpers he is not sure, all he knows is he will lose it if Ace stops now. But, he knows Ace, if he can't tell him what he wants Ace will stop. So he tries, his body wound up a smoldering want deep in his core, he wants Ace. "Ace" he calls softly "I want Ace."

Ace must sense his confusion and desperation because he pulls his sinful, amazing, smoldering lips away from Shoto's chest and looks deep into Shoto's eyes. "I'm here Shoto, but I need to know what you are ready for."

Shoto closes his eyes tightly to hide his frustration and inexperience. He is still raw, emotional from the last couple of weeks. Before, on Shanks' ship, it wasn't safe enough, private enough to consider anything more than gentle cuddling. Besides Ace was still healing. Thinking of the possibility that he almost lost Ace twice now without experiencing the more intimate side of their relationship, makes Shoto want to pin Ace down and take him himself. Is he really ready for this? Can he really submit himself to the other fire user? He thinks about the almost deaths and he believes yes, he is ready for this. His thoughts are still a jumbled mess, but he is ready for this, he is ready for Ace. "I want whatever Ace will give me." Shoto whispers "I don't know how far I'm ready to go, but I want to experience it all with Ace."

Ace smiles at Shoto's innocence "Then we will take it slow." Ace kisses him softly and whispers against his lips "I Love you Sho."

Shoto chokes on a sob, he realizes he is crying. He can't speak the words back to Ace, so he pushes all his Love, sadness, relief, and all his other feelings and emotions into returning Ace's kiss. He kisses Ace like his life depends on it like he is trying to consume the other boy to keep Ace locked away in his heart so nothing bad can happen to him. From the whimper and groan coming from Ace he understands.

They break away when the need for air is too much, more important than trying to consume the other. Shoto pants as Ace trails kisses back down Shoto's neck to his chest. Ace trails fire along Shoto's sides careful not to burn the other. Shoto shivers and moans while grinding his hips up into Ace's stomach. A clear intention that Shoto wants Ace's attention elsewhere. Ace trails his burning fingers along the edge of Shoto's sleep pants curiously dipping his fingers into the waistband asking for permission. Teasing Shoto with his intentions. Shoto whines and bucks his hips up. Ace smirks as his lips and tongue trace, map, and explore the cuts of muscle defined by a lifetime of training. Shoto's muscles quiver and quake at the sensation, he thrashes wildly as Ace slowly takes Shoto's pants off.

"Ace please" Shoto's voice is breathless and desperate "Please stop teasing me."

Ace plants a few more lingering kisses along Shoto's stomach, licking down the planes of muscle cutting a clear path to his prize. Shoto whimpers and moans trying to speed up the pace. Shoto's breath hitches when Ace reaches his destination. He moans as heat wraps around Shoto's most intimate place.

Shoto reaches a hand to tangle in Ace's hair applying a little pressure. Shoto moans and thrashes as Ace swallows his dick down to the base. Shoto can't help but thrust up feeling Ace's throat convulse and tighten around him. Ace hums around Shoto's dick causing shivers to race along his spine deliciously. Shoto is pleasantly distracted, not noticing Ace's questing hand searching for something.

Shoto feels a wet slightly warm finger prodding and rubbing his entrance he tenses a bit at the curious finger. Shoto relaxes as Ace applies a little pressure and pulls back again. Shoto lets himself be distracted by a hard suck to the head of his dick. The questing finger's entrance snaps him out of his distracted mind frame. He tenses not sure if he likes the finger in his ass. Ace uses his other hand to gently stroke Shoto's side as he slowly adds more pressure. Shoto forgets about the finger for the time being as the slight sting fades to the other pleasurable sensations. Soon enough Shoto catches himself trying to get that finger to move and go deeper by thrusting his ass toward Ace.

Ace's finger moves slowly thrusting in and out of Shoto, exploring. Shoto whimpers and moans breathlessly not being able to speak. Shoto feels close to something he has never felt before, but there is a heat building in his lower abdomen. Ace's finger gently rubs against a spot in Shoto that causes him to arch off the bed slightly and moan loudly.

"Wha-," Shoto gasps shocked

"You like that Sho?" Ace whispers huskily.

Shoto nods and gasps as Ace does it again "Yes, Ace. Please more." Shoto babbles and begs.

Shoto is pliant and relaxed as Ace slowly works in another finger. He tenses a bit at the stretch but relaxes quickly as the fingers don't move, resting barely touching his prostate. Shoto squirms trying to move on the fingers "Ace, please move." Shoto whispers. Ace obeys and slowly thrusts his fingers rubbing Shoto's insides, teasing Shoto's prostate. Ace continues working Shoto open, lips never leaving his leaking cock. The sounds escaping Shoto are beautiful, unfiltered, and completely different from the usually quiet teen. Ace wants more of those sounds, so he places his unoccupied hand on the base of Shoto's cock and strokes up as he removes his mouth. Shoto whines a little as Ace crawls up his body, kissing, licking, and nipping his way up to Shoto's chest, giving each nipple some attention. His final destination; Shoto's lips.

Shoto writhes under Ace as he leans in a steals Shoto's lips in a fiery kiss. "Sho?" Ace calls stilling his fingers but not yet pulling them out. "Is this ok, Shoto?" Ace feels Shoto clench onto his fingers. His sweet Shoto has a voice kink. Ace smiles lovingly and kisses him softly. He moves his fingers slowly in Shoto. Shoto moans beautifully. "So good for me, Sho" Ace praises. Shoto shivers and clenches at the praise. Ace continues his ministrations to Shoto's prostate adding another finger. Shoto barely noticed the third finger entering him. Ace showers Shoto in praise "So beautiful, So perfect." Shoto moans pleasure drunk.

Hearing Ace praise him is intoxicating, overwhelming, and entirely not enough; he wants more. He wants everything Ace can give him. He wants Ace to take him, destroy him, and put him back together. He moans, legs and thighs twitching, shivers racing down his spine, electricity in his blood; every nerve firing off in blissful pleasure. That building heat is now infernal and Shoto knows if Ace keeps teasing him, he is going to erupt. He doesn't want to yet. He pushes weakly at Ace's shoulders. Ace tenses and stops all movement looking at Shoto slightly guilty and afraid. Shoto gives him his best smile placing a hand on Ace's cheek to reassure the other teen. "Ace, I'm ready," Shoto states confidently. He watches as Ace's eyes widen in realization.

"Sho, are you sure?" Ace hesitates. He wants nothing more than to finally take this step. However, if Shoto is forcing himself to be ready for this step because of some misplaced guilt Ace would never be able to forgive himself. If Shoto is forcing himself because he feels he will lose his chance then it is Ace's responsibility to help Shoto understand they don't need to rush. He studies Shoto, looking for any signs that Shoto is forcing himself to do this. He sees nothing but love, desire, and complete trust. None of the panicked, desperate Shoto he woke up to.

Shoto nods "I'm sure, Ace"

All Ace can see is honesty and trust and love. "I'll go slow, if you want me to stop I will." Ace removes his fingers from Shoto and applies more lube to his fingers. He reinserts his fingers, chuckling softly at Shoto's pout. "I'm making sure you are prepared for me, Sho."

Ace's fingers slide back in smoothly, he spreads his fingers stretching Shoto more. He thrusts his fingers a little harder and faster every once in a while, he grazes Shoto's prostate, causing the teen to arch beautifully and moan Ace's name.

"Nhgg Ace… hah… Please …nugg… I'm ready" Shoto moans out.

Ace removes his fingers, he slicks himself with plenty of lube, he did his research after Izuku and Katsuki did the deed. Sufficiently coated he lines himself up to Shoto's entrance. He looks at Shoto for permission, one last chance to back out. Shoto nods for him to continue. Ace adds a bit of pressure to the head of his cock breaching Shoto.

Shoto tenses, it hurts the stretch is more than Ace's fingers. He whimpers as Ace slowly pushes his length into him. Shoto keens at Ace's grunted praise "So good me sweet Sho, so perfect. So beautiful." Ace bottoms out soon enough and Shoto tries to adjust to the intrusion still in pain he tenses.

Ace rubs his hand up and down Shoto's sides, laying light kisses over Shoto's face. Kissing his tears, his nose, his lips, and his chin. Laying feather-light kisses over Shoto's neck, licking at his pulse, and nibbling softly. He praises his soulmate, words of love escaping his throat, whispered into Shoto's ear, "I love you Sho, so very much."

Shoto moans and clenches down hard on Ace's cock at the praise. As the pain subsides, all that is left is a sense of belonging, a feeling of absolute rightness. Being connected with Ace like this, well it is both everything and nothing he thought it would be. He gives an experimental roll of his hips; he moans at the feeling. "Ace move," he commands.

Ace starts a slow, torturous pace, long deep thrusts aimed to stimulate every inch of Shoto. Shoto moans, cries and writhes under him. Gripping his shoulders to ground himself words of "harder", and "Faster" in between moans of Ace's name. Ace obeys the pleas and pulls almost all the way out, he thrusts hard and fast into Shoto hitting his prostate causing the teen to wail and push himself onto Ace's cock, Shit Ace isn't gonna last very long at all.

"Sho, so tight around me," Ace groans "So good, so perfect,"

"So good Ace" Shoto moans "I'm close"

Ace trails his fingers over Shoto's cock and strokes him to the tempo of his thrusts. It's not long until Shoto is screaming "Ace!" as he comes undone. Ace doesn't relent his brutal pace, thrusting into Shoto to milk his orgasm. The vice of Shoto's ass clamping and squeezing him is soon to be Ace's undoing. He thrusts maybe three or four more times before he thrusts as fast and as deep as he can spilling and marking Shoto as deep inside as he can. He stays deep inside as he rides out his own mind-numbing orgasm. The last waves of his pleasure rush through him and he collapses on Shoto breathing heavily. Ace's cock still twitching inside him, he doesn't want to pull out yet. He gently rocks into Shoto, not quite stimulating the other, more like unwilling to leave yet. Shoto's whine of over-sensitivity makes Ace reconsider, he pulls out slowly, placing soft kisses along Shoto's chin and jaw ending with a lazy kiss to Shoto's lips.

"How are you feeling?" Ace asks a touch of worry in his voice.

Shoto has a dopey smile on his face, voice light and breathless, "that was really pleasant."

Ace beams and pulls Shoto to cuddle, "I'm glad Shoto."

Shoto hums and lets Ace cuddle him.

"I love you, Sho" Ace whispers.

"I love you too, Ace" Shoto whispers back, sleepily and blissed out. The pain and panic of his nightmare gone. Shoto snuggles into Ace's chest as he lets sleep reclaim him. The slight guilt for waking Ace up is forgotten in his euphoric peaceful mind. He knows they will need to talk about this step in their relationship, but Shoto can not regret anything that has happened tonight.

The pack plus Sabo's sleep is interrupted by a loud knock on the door. Sabo is unsure if he should answer, after all, he is supposed to play the traumatized teen. Thankfully, Luffy bounds out of his room all excited energy making his way to the door. Sabo studies his youngest brother, the teen who used to be such a hopeless kid, unable to throw a proper punch seems to have complete control of every movement despite the excited bouncing.

Luffy cracks open the door, he spots Kato and Denki on the other side "KATO!" Luffy greets cheerfully.

"Hey, Lu." A soft voice rings in Sabo's ear.

"What are you doing here? I thought we were gonna hang out after the exams" Luffy inquires, leading the boys into the living room.

Sabo watches as Luffy interacts with the stranger. Hoping if he stays quiet, he won't be noticed. The stranger chuckles softly, rubs the back of his neck, "that was the plan, but I bumped into Denki and he invited me to come to hang out" he breaks off "I missed you guys."

Luffy brightens, "we missed you too, Kato". Luffy levels a smirk at Denki, "Right Sparky?"

Sabo watches as Denki blushes and sputters a response causing Luffy to double over laughing. The chaos must wake up the others because soon enough Ace and Shoto are complaining about interrupted sleep make their appearance. Followed by what Sabo can only describe as fireworks coming from Katsuki's and Izuku's room.

Everything goes silent as the teens wait with bated breaths for the explosive teen to make his appearance. As predicted Katsuki explodes out of the room looking decidedly more pissed off the ever. "Morning Blasty" Ace smirks with no fear for his life at all.

Katsuki levels Ace with his most deadly glare "Imma kill you Matchstick if someone doesn't explain to me whose brilliant idea it was to wake up My Nerd!" he growls out.

Ace and Luffy gulp, Kirishima and Shoto look guilty. Kato looks fondly terrified, and Denki and Sabo look confused. Luffy starts sputtering "I'm sorry Kats, I got a little excited by Kato being here. I forgot to keep quiet."

Katsuki studies the situation, rage simmering beneath his skin. The sound of Izuku's laughter rings into the room, cutting through the tension "Kacchan". Katsuki looks at his Nerd, trying not to glare, these idiots know how Katsuki gets if anyone wakes up his Nerd. "Technically speaking no one woke me up, Kacchan."

Katsuki pouts "but they interrupted our cuddles, Nerd."

Ace busts out laughing "Blasty, you got all mad because we interrupted cuddle time?" Ignoring Katsuki's growl "Man that's rich, and here I thought we really fucked up."

"Fuck you, Matchstick!" Katsuki growls "You wanna die?"

Before Ace can predictably sign his life away Izuku wraps his arms around Katsuki "Kacchan, no killing Ace," he smirks "too many witnesses."

Katsuki smirks ferally "I like how you think, Nerd."

Ace gulps "Shit" he turns his pleading eyes to Shoto "Sho save me"

Shoto smiles softly "You're on your own, Ace."

Ace pouts and looks at Luffy "Otōto, Save me."

Luffy beams innocently "I'm not stupid Ace. You know if Kats and Izuku really want to kill you; all of us together wouldn't stand a chance."

Ace comes to the same realization and his face morphs to look like he sucked on a lemon, "I'm sorry Blasty. For laughing at you. Please spare me."

Katsuki grunts out "Whatever."

Now that Ace's life had been spared at least for a couple more hours Izuku turns his attention to the cause of this morning's commotion "Hey Kato."

"Hey Izu, how was your mission?" Kato smiles in greeting.

"Eventful." Izuku sighs "We almost lost Ace."

Kato's eyes widen at the somber looks everyone gives "what happened?"

Katsuki growls "The idiot thought it was wise to let the enemy put a fist through his chest."

The look that passes over Kato's face makes Sabo wish he could have come here with his brothers from the start. The teen looks half a second away from wrapping Ace in bubble-wrap. His bottom lip quivers and Denki moves to hold him.

Ace whimpers "I'm sorry Kato."

Kato studies Ace and the group, clearly, not everything is forgiven. He looks at Izuku and Katsuki, "so when are we gonna beat our love into him?" he smirks.

Izuku and Katsuki smirk, "After the exams" Izuku informs. Kato is a genius and has known the group long enough that most emotions and feelings are settled with fists rather than words.

"You in?" Katsuki smirks in challenge.

Kato loves these teens and smiles "Of course, how else is he gonna learn we love him."

"Exactly!" Luffy cheers, then glares at his hands "He almost left me behind."

Sabo really wants to comfort his brother, but so far, he has gone unnoticed by the newcomer. He catches Izuku's studious gaze not too sure what he should be doing. Does he play the trauma victim or the long-lost brother?

Izuku comes to the decision for him, "Kato" he calls out. The teen looks at him curiously. "I have someone to introduce to you." This seems to perk Luffy up.

"Can we tell him?" Luffy excitedly asks.

"I don't see why not, since he was in the know of the real mission." Izuku confirms "But, your knowledge of him, needs to be kept secret for now."

Kato nods and glances at the blond. Luffy bounds over to Sabo and tackles him in a hug. Sabo laughs softly as Luffy babbles excitedly "Kato this is my brother, Sabo."

Kato's eyes widen comically, "you mean… the one you and Ace thought died?"

Luffy nods, "Yeah, turns out my dad saved him. He has been living with the revolutionaries."

Sabo studies the other teen, watching as his eyes glaze over in memory. Sabo wonders how much Kato knows about Luffy and Ace. He doesn't need to ask as Kato sighs, "They told me everything. I think besides Shanks and Inko, I was the first one outside of the pack to know."

"It didn't bother you?" Sabo asks.

Kato looks at Luffy, Ace, Katsuki, and Izuku, "not at all" and he smiles. Sensing the confusion radiating off Sabo he sighs, "They were my first friends. I wasn't about to throw that away for something so minor."

"Minor?" Sabo asks shocked. How can being from another world and sons to the most wanted men in that would be minor?

"It didn't matter to me who their fathers were. I didn't know their fathers, so I didn't care what they did or didn't do. I knew I wanted to be a hero and they wanted to help me" Kato explains.

"Sabo, this world is different, because it hasn't been corrupted by the calamities yet." Izuku states.

Kato nods, "Besides I saw them Ace and Luffy. Even knowing they were from another world. Sure I was shocked and thought they were picking fun at me. Then I met Shanks and he taught me Haki from his world so I could fight at the same level as villains. I have never seen a power like Haki before so that proved their claims."

"How many from this world know Haki?" Sabo asks.

Izuku ponders, "Everyone in this room with the exception of Denki… plus Aizawa, All Might, Hawks, and Nighteye." He tries to remember anyone else " I think that is everyone, I know Present Mic trained with Shanks for a while but I don't think he unlocked Haki yet."

"Lazy- Sensei usually uses observation and Armament with his quirk. Besides Shanks, he uses it the most." Katsuki supplies.

Izuku nods "All Might is retired so he won't be much on the front lines unless the situation calls for it. Hawks use Arms on his feathers. Nighteye's quirk works like future sight so it is hard to tell if he augments his quirk with observation" Izuku starts muttering, "it might be wise to teach some of the other pros to using Haki. We should start with the adults we trust."

"That's a good plan, Nerd" Katsuki interrupts, "however, we can't do anything yet. We still think there is a spy on the grounds. The last thing we need is the villains being able to use Haki against us."

"Kacchan is so smart." Izuku beams.

"Besides we need to focus on the exams," Shoto supplies.

"You're right Shoto" Izuku sighs.

"Do you have a plan?" Ace asks hopefully.

Izuku adopts a thinking pose, "prior exams put students in mostly unknown one-on-one combat with a lesser ranked pro. Sometimes the students had to work with students from another school. The provisional exam tested students individual reaction time, strategies, and combat prowess."

"Something tells me these exams are gonna be different," Katsuki supplies.

"What makes you think that?" Denki asks.

"All Might's retirement," Izuku explains. "After All Might's retirement, the hero commission held a press conference. They feel the way things have been among heroes needs to change."

"What do you mean?" Luffy asks.

"They feel the burden of being the pillar of justice is too much for one person" Izuku starts. "Villainy has been on the rise because now that All Might is retired, they do not need to fear the other heroes. The League of Villains is perfect for this. Other villains see them making a move and they join. Their numbers overwhelm the heroes that are used to fighting solo against a villain."

"Heroism has always been a competition," Katsuki starts. "Villains were scared to be caught by All Might. So they stayed low. Pro heroes right now do not know how to work together."

"Exactly," Izuku states seriously "Kacchan is right, today's heroes are always trying to one-up each other for ratings. Heroes have forgotten what it means to save to win."

"Save to win?" Kirishima butts in.

"Yea, save to win," Izuku starts "Do you remember the sludge incident?"

"The one from a year ago? The one where the heroes couldn't get close enough to the villain because there was a kid involved?" Denki asks.

"That one," Izuku reminisces something dark taking over his features "the heroes were going to let him die, because their quirks were unsuited to deal with it. They were gonna let the victim be murdered while they waited for someone more equipped. Or wait until the Sludge Villain wore them like a meat suit to take him down" there is fear, frustration, and unimaginable sadness choking Izuku.

"What happened?" Kirishima asks.

"Didn't All Might save the kid?" Denki recalls.

"No that was a cover-up," Kato explains.

"Then the kid…?" Shoto ponders

"Not quite Icy-Hot," Katsuki sighs "The kid was saved but it wasn't All Might that saved him."

"Then why would they show it like that?" Denki wonders.

Shoto moves to the computer and searches for the Sludge Villain Attack. He looks through to find an unedited version of the fight. He finds one clearly taken from a cellphone camera. He motions for everyone to gather as the video starts

Fire and smoke take over the area, people are coughing and struggling to breathe. There is shouting coming from the heroes on the scene telling the spectators to move out of the way. As the smoke clears, the heroes on the scene are standing around trying to contain the fires the struggling teen is letting out. The shouts and the swears coming from the villain are familiar.

Shoto glances at Katsuki, and sees the pain, simmering in his ruby eyes.

The camera focuses on the Sludge Villain and a panicked, terrified expression of the victim trapped in the Villains grasp.

Shoto realizes that Katsuki is the reason for the streets being on fire, the heroes push back the civilians and bystanders and wait around. The audio of the video is staticky at best but Shoto can pick up some of the heroes commenting.

"None of our quirks affect the sludge."

"At this rate the kid is going to die."

"We can't get close because of the explosions."

"Poor kid, if someone doesn't come soon, we will have no choice but to apprehend the villain after he gets the body."

The comments make the pack seethe, growls coming from Izuku. Explosions coming from Katsuki amplifying the explosions on the screen.

The screen shows Katsuki struggling, clawing at his face and throat trying to remove the sludge that is slowly suffocating him. Suddenly something or rather someone crashes into the ground releasing unrestrained power "LET HIM GO!" is the familiar growling voice. The overwhelming power coming from the teen knocks out the villain and some innocent bystanders. The person recording the video catches a glimpse of the unnamed hero while speculating to the camera if this is a hero's debut. The video catches the side of the arrival's face. The green hair, feathers, fire, and sparking lightning is unmistakable to those watching the screen.

It dawns on those that didn't know what happened who saved the kid. It was Izuku. He makes a terrifying image, eyes hard a glowing an eerie green. Lightning flashing around him like a raging storm as fire lick out barely contained. Feathers twitching and hovering waiting to be commanded. Wings angled in ready to lash out as people start collapsing around the person taping the scene. The Audio of the video picks up rumbling growls coming from Izuku as he fights with himself not to unleash his wolf.

The camera pans out as the person gasps and shows the fires dying out unable to fight against such an overwhelming force. There is a puddle around Katsuki as he gulps air and coughs out globs of slime. The oppressing waves of power do not relent as All Might shows up. Izuku collapses like the cut strings of a marionette. The camera picks up his sobbing and choked out apologies as the paramedics come to check on Katsuki.

The useless pros on the scene crowd the two, praising Katsuki for his bravery and awesome quirk. Turning to Izuku who is crying and fighting to get to Katsuki, they reprimand Izuku for being reckless and jumping in almost getting himself killed. They tell him he was lucky All Might showed up when he did. Katsuki scowls and powers through the surrounding heroes, he thanks Izuku and tells the distressed teen he is a hero.

"Nerd, thank you. These pros couldn't do anything, if it wasn't for you, I would have died. Back there you were more heroic than anyone else" is the raspy voice that comes through the camera.

The video cuts out with All Might leaping into the air with Ace, Luffy, Katsuki, and Izuku in his grasp.

The others are speechless until Kirishima finds his voice, "The news coverage was completely different. For one the victim's face was blurred out. It was not Izuku that ran to his rescue but a middle schooler trying to claw his way through the sludge. Then All Might came and blasted the villain away."

"Yes, that is exactly what I remember as well," Shoto confirms.

"The media didn't want to show the heroes being incompetent," Izuku snarls. "If the villains saw that we would have been targeted much sooner."

"Why wouldn't they search the internet to find the real video?" Denki questions.

"The same reason why you didn't" Izuku starts." There wasn't a reason to since they were more focused on All Might being around."

"Makes sense," Shoto states. "If the villains knew about you, they would have attacked U.S.J. more carefully."

"The smarter villains would have connected that we would have been accepted into U.A. under the hero course. When they got the roster of the students and teachers that would have been present, they would have recognized my name. The U.S.J. Incident would have been much worse," Izuku explains. "Anyways there is a point to all this. Heroes today are more focused on catching the villain rather than saving everyone they can. If I didn't show up, Kacchan would have died and the villain would have gotten not only his body, but his quirk, access of OFA, and our Soulmate abilities."

"Do you really think so?" Shoto asks.

"It's possible. Though I would have known that even if the villain had Kacchan's body; I would know it wasn't Kacchan. We probably would have died because the villain wouldn't know I was his soulmate and reject me, and I would not have accepted anyone other than Kacchan." Izuku ponders "If the villain got all of Kacchan's memories and I didn't have Fuji's sense of smell, it could have possibly fooled me. If the villain didn't change Kacchan at all, if his scent, actions, and personality stayed the same; it could be possible."

"But nothing gets past your nose, Izuku" Luffy cheers.

"Especially when it comes to Blasty," Ace teases.

Izuku blushes but doesn't deny it. Katsuki stays suspiciously quiet. He doesn't want to imagine what would have happened if the Nerd didn't show up when he did. He doesn't want to know if the villain took over his body if they could fool the Nerd. He has to believe that even if Izuku never got Fuji, he would be able to tell the difference.

Izuku can sense the panic building in Katsuki, he moves to engulf Katsuki in a tight embrace, "I have known Kacchan my entire life. Even if the villain embodied Kacchan perfectly, I still would have known. With or without Fuji. Besides, I know Kacchan would rather explode himself than become a meat suit for a villain."

This relaxes Katsuki, "You're God-damned right, Nerd."

"Besides, Kacchan is stronger than that. And when he needs help, I'll save him." Izuku declares.

Katsuki's face flushes and his tail wags a bit causing him to explode, "Like hell, Nerd. If anyone needs saving it's you."

Izuku swoons, "Of course, My hero, Kacchan," trying to hide his chuckles.

The others are not entirely successful, as they all pretend to faint. Katsuki growls out something not quite words, sparking uncontrolled explosions from his palms. Izuku reigns in his chuckles and smiles apologetically at Katsuki, "I'm sorry, Kacchan."

"'S ok" Katsuki mumbles out.

Shoto diffuses the situation, "so Izuku, you think that the provisional exams are going to be different this year." Izuku nods. "Can you explain it some more?"

Izuku smiles at Shoto, "Of course, where was I again?" He pauses, "Right. All Might's retirement." An air of seriousness descends on the room, "the hero commission believes heroes should stop thinking about individual progress. If I was them, I would want the new generation of heroes to be able to communicate and coordinate with other teams effectively."

"Makes sense," Shoto determines. "Do you think they will start with our class?"

"Yes," Izuku states determined. "Because we have already proven teamwork saves people. The Stain Incident, The Hosu Incident, and the rescue mission. Even the severity of the U.S.J. incident was minimized due to teamwork. The only ones severely injured were me and Aizawa. If everyone was forced to fight alone, most if not all our class would have died."

"Even if we had teamwork during the U.S.J. after Aizawa was down everyone gravitated towards you. Well except for those still fighting or the students that stayed with Thirteen. At least that is what it looked like to me. Though I didn't know it at the time you were all pack except for Asui and me. I can't talk for Asui, but she probably felt it was safer with you than on her own. For myself, I headed over there because I made one of the thugs explain how they were gonna take down All Might." Shoto states. "When I got there Aizawa was being healed and Katsuki was holding down the portal villain. The Izuku was hitting us out of the way and went flying."

Everyone looks down pain flashing across their faces. For those that were present. Denki, Kato, and Sabo look confused. Shoto continues, "I only followed Ace's command because we needed to get Aizawa to safety, so All Might could go all out. I also heard the panic in Ace's voice when he said he was going after Izuku and Katsuki."

Denki interrupts, "Jiro, Momo, and I used teamwork to take care of all the villains in our zone. I shocked them all while Momo made an electric immune blanket for her and Jiro. I fried my brain and didn't realize I missed a villain." He pauses "Not too sure how I got out of the villain grasp."

"Bakubro, Ace, and I brawled our way out of the building we were sent to." Kirishima explains, "we almost had an argument because while Ace and I wanted to help the others, Bakubro wanted to go after the portal villain."

"I thought Blasty just wanted to get back at the villain," Ace explains bashfully.

"But Bakubro's reasons were manly "take out the portal fucker, then these idiots won't be able to move around so easily." Kirishima tries to imitate Katsuki.

"Luffy, Asui, and I were sent to the water zone." Izuku informs "I punched the surface of the water to make a whirlpool. Luffy used gear second to knock out the villains while my feather paralyzed them. Asui caught Luffy and I caught both of them a glided out of the water area."

"Why didn't you just shift?" Denki asks.

"I didn't want to make myself stand out yet. In case the situation could be resolved without showing the villains my wolf form." Izuku defends. "but then the Nomu crushed Aizawa's face; I had no choice."

"Makes sense" Denki surrenders.

"However, teamwork will be tested but I also believe they want to make sure we are not too dependent on each other or a specific person," Izuku warns.

"What do you mean?" Denki questions.

"If there is a team of four or so and there is a clear leader the villains would target the leader to disable the entire team," Izuku summarizes. "I think they are going to test not only teamwork but if we are capable of surviving if our partner goes down. Not to mention our strategies."

"How do you think they will do the teams?" Ace wonders.

"That is something I am not sure." Izuku contemplates, "On one hand heroes should be able to work alongside other heroes effectively. Even if they don't like each other. On the other hand, there are instances where there are official teams like the Water Hose duo."

"Do you believe they might randomize the teams to some extent?" Shoto clarifies.

"Yes, precisely," Izuku nods. "Hopefully Aizawa and All Might have some sway in the teams. I can work and adapt to anyone in my team, but if they pair me with Iida; I'm not sure he would work with me efficiently."

"That is true." Katsuki grumbles.

"Not to forget, we are already licensed so they might be a bit harder on us" Izuku states "Plus I think the hero commission wants to pass as many of us as possible. Villainy in on the rise, they are going to want us to get as much experience as possible before we graduate."

"I guess we will have to wait and see," Shoto sighs.

"Don't worry Shoto. As long as we have at least one pack member in our teams we will pass. Our teamwork is flawless, our other team members will see our confidence and trust in each other, that they should follow the strategies as long as they are sound." Izuku suggests.

"You're right as always Izuku," Shoto smiles.

They spend the rest of the day hanging out, watching hero movies to introduce heroes to Sabo. Luffy and Ace speak about their lives. Izuku's stomach growls and Katsuki sighs. "It's about dinner time," Katsuki states. "I didn't go grocery shopping, so we are gonna have to go to the cafeteria."

"Is that wise, Bakubro?" Kirishima asks hesitantly.

"Why wouldn't it be, Shitty Hair?" Katsuki snarls.

"Won't the others question us about Sabo?" Kirishima defends.

"We will use this opportunity to introduce him to some of our classmates," Izuku plans. "Sabo, play the part of an untrusting trauma victim."

"Sure, won't be too hard" Sabo nods.

"Alright, let's go." Luffy cheers "I want meat!"

"You haven't changed at all have you, Lu?" Sabo smiles fondly.

"Sure I have," Luffy pouts "Kats and Shanks don't let me eat my weight in meat."

"Thank you again, Kats" Sabo bows.

Katsuki blushes, "what the hell you thank me for, Idiot." He grumbles as his tail betrays him.

"For looking out for my reckless little brother," Sabo smiles.

Katsuki turns his face away with a blush "'S not just my doings."

"I'm sure but eating nothing but meat is really bad for a person's health." Sabo comments.

"Kacchan takes care of all of us," Izuku gushes.

"Only you, Nerd." Katsuki glares at the others "the rest are moochers". He smirks, "Besides if I didn't feed them every once in a while, they all would die of malnutrition."

"Admit it Blasty, you care about us," Ace teases.

"You wish Matchstick!" Katsuki argue.

"Then why do you care about what we eat?" Kirishima chimes in.

"Because the Nerd wants to open a hero agency with you losers after graduation. If you fall behind or die it will look bad on my Nerd." Katsuki smirks, "besides for some reason the Nerd likes you guys so it's my responsibility to make sure you all stay healthy."

"Aww," Shoto coos. "That is probably the nicest thing you have ever said to us."

"You wanna die, Icy-Hot?" Katsuki glares.

"Leave Kacchan alone," Izuku defends, something playful but still slightly dangerous sparks in his eyes.

The other stops teasing knowing Katsuki is close to exploding the building. Though it's an improvement, they know Katsuki can only handle so much teasing. So they relent and start to make their way to the Cafeteria. Before they leave the Dorms Aizawa and Shanks meet them in the common area.

"Hey problem children," Aizawa greets.

"Good evening, Shota," Izuku greets back. "Did everyone settle in ok?"

"Everyone is fine Cementoss is making a new wing on the building for the additional security. Nezu is going to hold an official assembly tomorrow after the exams. Food has already been provided for them." Shanks informs.

"Oh good," Izuku lets out a relieved breath. He will have to check up on them after the exams.

Shanks smiles at the teens "Where are you boys headed?"

"To eat," Katsuki supplies, "I haven't gone grocery shopping yet."

"Ahh," Shanks nods.

"We are gonna introduce Sabo to some people" Luffy Cheers.

"Don't overwhelm him," Aizawa warns.

Izuku ponders, "Did you warn the class yet?"

"No, I will formally introduce him after the exams," Aizawa Informs. He turns to Sabo, "It is your choice if you want to participate in the exams, or you could sit out and observe."

Before Sabo can respond Shanks speaks up, "I recommend trying to take them, it would give you a better idea of how these powers work. It won't be held against you if you fail but being the second in command, you are probably more trained than most of the others."

"I will consider it, Shanks." Sabo bows.

"I think you should do it," Izuku suggests. "Aizawa, Shanks is there anything you can tell us, so we are better prepared?"

"Only speculation, Problem Child." Aizawa ruffles Izuku's hair, "all I can say is you've got this."

"Use your best judgment, you have been training for this since you were five," Shanks states with a knowing look.

"Got it Sensei," Izuku smiles. He tugs the others out of the room to head to the main building. As they are leaving Izuku can pick up the rest of their conversation.

"This year is underground rescue ops, right, Aizawa?" Shanks asks.

"Yes they will be in groups of ten, the objective is to disable the villains and save the hostages, then escape." Aizawa sighs bored.

"We can throw anything we can at them, right, earthquakes, bombs, structural damage. We can make the building collapse and fill with water, right?" Shanks asks.

"Yes, to prepare them for everything that could happen. Even if the villain is apprehended the mission is not complete until the hostages and rescue team are safe and evacuated." Aizawa explains.

"How will they be graded?" Shanks asks curiously.

"They will be graded on two fronts, individually and as a team. The team could complete all objectives but individually they could fail. Based on how well they work together, resolve disputes, split workload, etc. Communication and Strategy will be important. The same could be said if the team fails, realistically the villain could get away, or they don't save the hostages in time, or one of the rescue team dies. But judged on an individual scale they could pass." Aizawa explains.

Izuku is out of earshot after that, but the information was intentional. Luckily being in groups of ten, gives them a higher chance to be grouped together. He will need to see the layout for the underground establishment before he can complete his plans. If they are being graded individually then how they approach the civilians will count. The civilians would be terrified, possibly injured. They will need to approach cautiously and reassure the civilians, they are safe. Meaning Kacchan can't scare them, call them extras, or demean them.

Izuku chances a look at Katsuki, by the sour looks on the other's face, he already understands the stakes here; this will be the most challenging exam yet. Katsuki won't make any promises if the civilians act like little frightened children he might explode. If he is in a different group than his Nerd, he might as well forfeit. At least if the Nerd is around, he will be calm. Maybe a little less violent. Whelp there is no point dwelling on the possibilities on their way to the cafeteria.

As the group enters the Cafeteria Sabo adopts the traumatized victim by letting Izuku wrap a tail around his wrist. Similar to what he does with the rest of the pack to offer support and comfort. Sabo visibly relaxes at the soothing warmth coming from the tail. As they are standing in line to get their food, Ashido spots them and bounds over.

"Hey guys," Ashido greets loudly. "seemingly unnoticing all the attention she caused the boys to receive, "Hey Izuku, how was you guy's mission?"

"Hey Mina, can't give you too many details," Izuku starts. "But I have someone to introduce to you."

Ashido's eyes widen, "Really who?" She observes the group as they grab their food, she makes a show of studying the unknown blond, "Who's this?"

Izuku sighs "Mina meet Sabo, Sabo meet Mina," Izuku introduces. "We rescued him overseas, He's an orphan so Mr. Aizawa offered to take him in." He leads the group to a secluded spot in the cafeteria.

"Oh Dear, I'm sorry you had to go through that," Ashido tears up. "If you ever need anything or just want to talk; feel free to come to me." She moves to give Sabo a hug as he visibly tenses, his shaking can be seen by most of the other students.

Katsuki comes to his rescue, "back off, Pinky."

"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to startle you or anything," Ashido bows to Sabo. "You just looked like you needed a hug."

Sabo clears his throat startled and trying not to let his voice break, "it's fine; just not used to it." He states something cold in his voice.

Izuku defuses the situation, "Mina, he was held captive by a ring of villains forced to take part in an illegal fighting ring. So touching him is probably not a good idea right now."

The commotion has brought over a few bystanders, like Ochako, Asui, and Momo. As a member of the student council Momo speaks up, "if he was in an illegal fighting ring, how can we be sure he is not a plant?"

Here is where the cover story will be tested, luckily Izuku has everyone who matters backing him up completely. "When we found him and rescued him he was caged, and chained to the wall, multiple wounds on his body and unconscious. The wounds didn't look like they came from the fight, so I assumed he was tortured before or after it. I healed his injuries over a couple of days, and he regained consciousness. When he woke, Aizawa interrogated him, treating him as a possible suspect. Even though he was clearly distressed I saw no signs of deceit. Remember my wolf can sense lies. We arrived back here yesterday, and he was interviewed by Aizawa, detective Naomasa, and Nighteye. He passes all their tests and even agreed to have his memories looked at. Aizawa is now his legal guardian, he will be joining our class after the exams."

"If Aizawa- Sensei is his legal guardian, why is he with you?" Iida questions not quite able to hide his sneer.

"Because his attackers were all adults, he doesn't feel comfortable being around adults." Izuku explains, "Being that Kacchan, Ace, Luffy, Shoto, Kirishima, and myself were there when he was rescued, he feels more comfortable around us."

"Gonna Corrupt him too?" Iida sneers.

Katsuki growls warningly.

"Shut up, you Mutt," Iida glares. "One beast here is enough."

Izuku unleashes his feathers and a tinge of conqueror's Haki, "That is enough Iida!" Iida shivers, eyes wide in terror. "You're a fucking hero in training, this is not how we behave. As far as you need to know, we were tasked by Shanks and Aizawa to introduce him to the other students his age to help him adjust."

"What would you know about being a hero-in-training? You rarely participate in the class activities, you do shit on your own, and there is obviously something you are hiding from us. I bet the teachers are in on it, you've corrupted everyone around you. You pretend to be a hero, pretend to be innocent. Yeah right, you are no hero, you are a beast, a monster. Why should we believe you aren't gonna corrupt Sabo like you corrupted Todoroki and Kirishima?" Iida rants.

Sabo watches the group react to Iida's accusations. Izuku shakes, eyes wide. Sabo realizes Izuku is trembling as he whispers softly, "please stop", "Not a monster", and "not a beast". Sabo can also hear the repetitive "I'm sorry" he keeps muttering. Izuku's eyes are cloudy and dull. He chances a glance at Luffy and Ace, their reactions shock him. He doesn't see typical anger, no Ace and Luffy look ready to murder Iida, their already dark eyes hard and filled with fire as they close on Izuku protectively. Katsuki snarls and glares, hands curled into fists, looking every bit ready to explode defending Izuku. He instead crowds Izuku and rubs his back, between the fiery wings. Shoto radiates a cold fury coupled with an Icy glare. Kirishima's shark-like teeth bared and ready to rip out someone's throat. Even Denki has lightning sparking uncontrollably around him.

Denki calms his breathing, "Corrupting Shoto and Kirishima. Is that what you think?"

"Yes, ever since they started hanging out with those four, they stopped caring about everyone else. They closed themselves off and I never see them talking with the others in our Class." Iida defends.

"Have you considered the only reason they don't associate with you is that you are always calling their friend a monster or a villain? Have you ever considered or even tried to get to know them outside of class?" Denki shouts.

"Why should I?" Iida questions, "Ever since the first day Midoriya has been hostile toward me."

"Are you fucking serious, Iida?" Denki snarls "you attacked him while he was healing your partner, need I remind you he healed you. You still attacked him. He saved your life in Hosu. You caused him to go into a panic attack before your guys match then tried to get him to go into another one during your match. What the fuck is wrong with you?" Denki rages. "I got to know them, sure at first, I thought they were closed off. I spent time with them getting to know them, and you know what I see?" I see a group that defends their own. I see a boy so ready to break himself, so others don't have to suffer. I see teens that have been misjudged by the world because they don't fit in; find comfort, love, and trust in each other. I see a group that goes against what people think of them to save people in need. I see heroes." Denki has tears in his eyes, "if they are not what heroes look like, then I don't want to know!"

"Midoriya- Chan saved my life twice at the U.S.J." Asui speaks up. "He put himself in danger because the villain targeted me with his quirk. If it wasn't for him, I would have died." Asui ribbits, "he pushed us out of the way from the Nomu if he didn't Ace, Luffy, Todoroki and I would have been crushed to death." Asui cries, "I never even said thank you," she bows, "I'm sorry Mido-Chan."

Tokoyami clears his throat, "He saved me for being Kidnapped," he considers "I have no doubts he knew who was trapped in each ball, he saved me first then tried to save the others."

Momo speaks up, "Didn't they save you in Hosu?"

"I didn't ask them to," Iida glares.

"You didn't have to," Izuku mumbles, "I wasn't about to let you die."

"Izuku is no Villain." Sabo breaks in, "He didn't hesitate to rescue me and offer support and comfort. I don't know much about heroes, but I know what makes a villain. Let me tell you Izuku, Katsuki, Ace, Luffy, Shoto and Kirishima are not villains."

"Thank you, Sabo." Izuku smiles. "Thank you, guys, for standing up for me." Unshed tears making his eyes sparkle, "Iida, I'm sorry my appearance and wolf form makes you uncomfortable. I'm sorry I don't look like your image of a hero. I'm sorry you don't like me. But I will never be sorry for defending myself or those I care about. This is my olive branch to you; you can decide to keep fighting me, or we can patch things up and move forward." When Iida doesn't respond Izuku sighs, "villainy is on the rise since All Might's retirement. We need to work together to make sure this world doesn't fall to the villains. Iida, you can make a great hero, but this is not a battle we can win on our own. We can not afford to be fighting each other."

Iida huffs and walks away. Izuku watches conflicted there is nothing more he can do; he extended the olive branch. The choice is in Iida's hands, it's up to him to put the aggression behind him. As the other students meander away Izuku and the rest can now focus on eating. Katsuki is still not able to tune out the whispers, picks up all the conversations throughout the room. He is exhausted listening to the speculations about him and Izuku. The most common and unrealistic theory is Izuku is a werewolf and infected Katsuki. A chuckle erupts from Izuku, eyes bright and full of mischief. Katsuki shakes his head, a fond smile on his face at Izuku's pout. The rest of the dinner progresses uneventfully.

When they get back to the dorms Izuku informs the group what he heard from Aizawa and Shanks. He tells the group to look out for each other, and that he will help where he can. He warns them about the tradition that happens during the exam. During the preliminaries, the other students from the other schools solely target U.A. students. Izuku warns that this year is probably going to be more vicious because of all of the publicity U.A. has gotten. Izuku tells them they should get a restful sleep, so they have their energy for the exams.

*** The next day***

The day has arrived for the provisional license exam, Over 1500 students are participating in these exams. The preliminaries only allow 100 students to move to the final round. The class 1-A bus is full of nervous energy and chatter. The pack radiates calm energy and an air of confidence.

"How can you be so calm?" Asui questions, "the Exam has a 5% pass rate."

"It's not like panicking and stressing will change anything. We just need to do our best and react to the situations as they come up." Luffy states.

"Besides we are training to be Heroes, the people we are saving depend on us to be calm." Izuku starts, "look at it this way if you were a civilian in need of saving, would you feel safe if the heroes meant to save you are panicking as well?"

"I suppose not," Asui agrees "Thanks, Mido-Chan."

"No worries," Izuku smiles. "As long as we stick together, we should get through this just fine."

"You seem pretty confident," Ochako observes. "What makes you think they are not gonna test us off individual prowess."

"Simple," Katsuki huffs "Watch the news, every once in a while."

"What do you mean Bakugo?" Shoji asks.

"Tch." Katsuki huffs, "with the retirement of All Might the heroes need to work together against the rise of villains."

Izuku senses the others in the class are still confused elaborates, "what Kacchan means is because All Might retired the villains have lost the fear All Might instilled. All Might was a beacon that made civilians safe and deterred villainy. Without the Symbol of Justice, the civilians feel uneased and the villains feel confident that there is no one who can stop them." He taps his chin, "The pro-heroes today are too used to competing with each other for the spotlight they don't know how to work together anymore. More heroes are dying because they go solo in a fight, it is not just heroes, but the civilians are dying as well. Civilians are not being evacuated and more are getting caught in the crossfire."

"But isn't Endeavor strong enough to deter Villains?" Sero comments.

"Endeavor is strong do get me wrong," Izuku starts "But he isn't All Might. All Might was strong and connected with the people. The people felt safe the moment All Might showed up on the scene."

"Endeavor is more likely to scare the Civilians than comfort them," Shoto smiles.

"I believe the hero commission is aware that the way heroics are right now needed to change. I think the most important factor in this test is how well we communicate, collaborate, and maximize our individual potential. Mean how well we adapt to others and utilize the other quirks to complete the objective, put the best people in the best situation. For example, if there is a civilian trapped under rubble the best person to help is Ochako. If someone is drowning the best person to help is Asui."

"I think I get it," Shoji states. "You believe for the most part the evaluators are going to be looking for those who can strategize and convince others to work together."

"Not exactly," Ace argues "If everyone tried that, there would be too many people trying to lead. No one is going to want to step down and listen to another's plan."

"Working together is not about following one person's orders. It's about taking everyone's thoughts and coming up with a solid plan. It's about communicating and adapting to situations that break away from that plan." Izuku starts, "It's about putting aside your pride and putting the civilians' safety first."

"Is that why you guys work so well together?" Asui questions.

"Not entirely," Izuku states. "We work so well together because we trust each other. I can trust that Kirishima will use his hardening to protect the civilians. I can trust Kacchan has my back as I have his. I trust in the gear Kato makes for us. I trust Luffy to use his rubber abilities to save people from being crushed. I trust Ace and Shoto to work together and make a perimeter between the dangers and the civilians. And I can trust Denki and Ashido to follow a plan and adapt to minute changes. Provide back up and handle their own until back up arrives."

"We trust in the Nerd's plans because they never fail." Katsuki smirks, "I'm not saying we blindly follow him. We add our thoughts and observations and he considers all the information and comes up with a plan that maximizes everyone's abilities and reduces casualties and damages."

"Izuku is smarter than all of us, his hearing picks up everything. He can smell the faintest of scents. And he can dissect and analyze a quirk or fighting style within seconds of seeing it. Topped with his healing and combat abilities whoever is on his team is sure to pass." Shoto comments with a slight smirk.

"So all we really need to do is figure out how the teams are going to be settled." Shoji comments.

"Exactly," Izuku smiles "I believe there will be an elimination round first. Prior years reports show that other schools target U.A. during this round."

Aizawa smirks they don't know yet, but the preliminaries have already begun. The bus driver has been listening and recording everything that has been said. The bus driver looks impressed that a small number of teens were able to efficiently calm the tension and breakdown the exams. He has already decided that this bus of students will arrive at the testing site.

The wolf child is right there is no sense in panicking. Heroes need to be able to ensure the public they are safe. Panicking during the unknown is only going to make the civilians more afraid. Being calm and rational while soaking in all the information is a skill these exams will be testing.

After a few more minutes, the bus arrives at Takobo National Stadium. As the students get off the bus they more or less look calm and confident. Some of the teens look excited while others still look a bit nervous. The other class takes a look at the Class 1-A students snickering and sneering.

"Getting Nervous now," Jiro sighs.

"So we are doing this at Takobo, Huh?" Izuku mutters quietly.

"Still no clue what this test is about, can we really earn our licenses?" Ochako wonders.

"It's not a matter if we can," Katsuki smirks.

"We will," Izuku matches his smirk with one of his own.

"Right!" the other class A members cheer.

Aizawa steps up, "Earn your provisional licenses by passing this exam, and you wont be eggs anymore… but full-fledged hatchlings… reborn as semi-pros!" He encourages, "Show them your best."

"Yeah, we are gonna hatch from those eggs!"

"Time for our cheer!"

"All together now!"

"PLUS"

"ULTRA" stouts a dramatically loud newcomer.

"!" most of the class is shocked.

Another student from another class reprimands the overly- excited teen "It's bad manners to intrude on another group's huddle" he interrupts "Inasa."

"Ah! You got me!" Inasa shouts he bends backward, "I AM SO…" he whips forward, "VERY…" and smashes his head to the ground "SORRY!"

Most of class 1-A is shocked at the display. "Who's this wacked out big ball of excitement?!" Denki sputters.

"He's like Iida plus Kirishima… Squared." Sero mutters.

Aizawa watches the scene "This boy" slightly alarmed.

"Look those uniforms…" Ashido points out.

"Oh, you're right!" Sero confirms.

"It's them from the west that famous school." Shoto hums.

"U.A. in the East," Katsuki states "And Shiketsu's in the West."

"Theirs is one of the few elite hero courses that can rival U.A…" Izuku explains eyes hard and calculating, "Shiketsu High"

Inasa brings his face off the ground "I just always wanted to try saying it! Plus Ultra!" he can't contain his excitement even while his face is bleeding. "It's truly an honor to compete alongside the fine students of U.A." he laughs "I freaking love U.A. High!"

"Ah, he's bleeding." A female states nonchalantly.

"Let's go." A male commands.

Izuku wanders to the excited teen "Inasa right?"

"Huh?" Inasa looks around he looks down and spots a little teen "Oh sorry Little Bro, didn't see you there." He rubs the back of his neck.

Izuku pouts ignoring the snickering coming from his packmates, he sighs "Your head is bleeding."

Inasa runs his fingers through the blood on his face "ah, so I am." He wipes the blood off his hand "It's no problem, I freaking love blood!"

"Maybe," Izuku sighs "but I should heal it anyways."

Inasa looks at him shocked "Why?"

"Because I can heal, and you are injured," Izuku states clearly doubting this teen's intelligence. "There is no other reason."

"HAHAHA!" Inasa laughs "I suppose you are right, Little Bro."

Izuku takes that as permission and lights his fingers on fire, he touches the other teen's forehead and watches as the wounds heal. The taller man sighs in relief and goes to bow again. "I'm not healing you again" Izuku stops him with a smile.

Inasa smiles back "Ah then let me give you my thanks, Izuku Midoriya."

Izuku smirks as he turns away "I'll see you in there Inasa Yoarashi, I look forward to sparing with you."

Inasa laughs "if that was the case most people would have left me injured."

Izuku's smirk widens "now, where's the fun in that?"

Inasa laughs again "I like you!" he follows his own classmates, shouting for him to hurry up.

With the other students, Aizawa watches the interaction huffs out "Inasa Yoarashi."

"Do you know him Sensei?" Asui calls out.

"He is very, very enthusiastic," Kirishima adds. "But from what he's saying, he actually seems like a nice dude."

"He's" Aizawa begins "Very strong." He continues to observe the interaction between Izuku and Inasa. "Yoarashi, this year… he got placed into your grade at U.A. under special recommendations. His top marks were enough to open the doors for him…" Aizawa sighs "but for some reason, he decided not to matriculate."

"Huh? So he is a first-year?! With special recommendations and top marks?" Kirishima ponders.

"Does that mean he is better than Todoroki?" Sero comments.

Shoto glares and looks away, "It doesn't matter if he is better than me, there are people in our class that are better than me."

"Looks like the Nerd has already set his sights on him," Katsuki smirks.

"Inasa, he said he was a big fan of U.A. but he turned down the offer to attend? I don't get it." Sero wonders.

"Weird." Ashido states.

"Weird or not, he's the real deal. Keep an eye on him." Aizawa warns with a meaningful glare.

A chipper and loud voice cuts through the group's huddle "Eraser?! Is that really you, Eraser?!"

Aizawa glares at the new arrival.

"I saw you on T.V. and at the Sports Festival." She waves "It's been too long since we met face to face!"

Aizawa looks terrified.

Izuku gasps, "That woman…!"

The woman bounds her way over to Aizawa, "Let's get married!?"

"No thanks," Aizawa sighs.

"Ahh" Ashido cheers.

The woman doubles over laughing "No Thanks!? Just do it!"

Aizawa sighs tired and completely ready to write the entire day off as a waste, "you're still the same pain in my neck as always, Joke"

"The smile hero, Mrs. Joke! Her quirk is outburst!" Izuku's eyes glaze over "she can force those around her to start laughing, effectively slowing their thoughts and movements. The methods she uses to take down villains are insane!"

Katsuki bops him on the head "Shut up, Nerd!"

"Ow Kacchan, "Izuku pouts eyes widening, ear drooping to look like a kicked puppy.

Katsuki blushes, "you're scaring everyone!"

"Marry me, and we could build a happy household where the fun and laughter never ends" Mrs. Joke attempts to persuade.

"Nothing about that sounds happy to me," Aizawa shuts down.

"UGH" Mrs. Joke clutches her heart in a show of dramatics earning an eye roll from Aizawa.

"So you two are friends?" Asui questions.

Mrs. Joke Laughs, "our agencies were close by way back when! I'd save him a few times; he'd save me a few times. We fell in love, and you know how it goes…"

"It went nowhere!" Aizawa interrupts.

Mrs. Joke laughs and turns her attention back to Aizawa "teasing you is always good for a laugh, Eraser!"

"So your students are here too?" Aizawa asks ignoring the teasing comment.

"Oh Yeah! Come on over, everyone. Come meet U.A." Mrs. Joke calls.

"Whoa! It's really them!"

"Wowee! All those guys from T.V."

"Taking this test as first years? Pretty fast-paced don't you think? Well with everything that has happened… no wonder they are so capable."

"This is Class 2-2 for Ketsubutsu Academy!" Mrs. Joke introduces, "Say hello to my students."

"My name is Shindo!" Shindo greets overly cheerful while shaking Izuku's hand. "U.A.'s had it pretty though this year huh? The hits just keep coming." Shindo squeezes Izuku's hand firmer, "but you guys still have your hearts set on being heroes." He flutters between the rest of the students "That's awesome!" Izuku hardens his eyes, this is another one to look out for. "I believe the heroes of tomorrow need to have that kind of fortitude. So bright!"

"What a straight-talking, eloquent, cool dude!" Denki praises.

"Best of all, here's Bakugo, who was at the heart of that whole Kamino mess!" Shindo Cheers. "Let's not forget Midoriya, the Hero of the Hosu incident. You took out Stain, that must have a tough fight."

"Huh?!" Katsuki glares.

"You've got the strongest will of all!" Something in his eyes changes, "I'm so glad we get a chance to face guys of your caliber today. We're gonna give it our best!"

"Cut the Crap," Katsuki sneers swatting the other teen's hand away "your lips can flap all they want, but your mug says otherwise."

Izuku hovers close to Katsuki growling slightly "you may have the others fooled but not us."

Kirishima steps up "Back off!"

Shindo smirks "just more proof of that iron will."

"Can I get your Autograph, Todoroki?" you were so cool at the sports festival." A girl runs up to Todoroki.

"Stop being such a fan-girl!" reprimands a male student.

"Hey, change into your costumes. The information session is about to begin… So stop wasting time." Aizawa commands.

"Okay!" the students cheer.

"It's like meeting these other schools is a good reminder." Jiro comments.

"Yup, we are practically famous." Ochako gushes.

"?" Mrs. Joke startles confused "Did you… not tell them, Eraser?"

Aizawa turns away and walks off ignoring the female pro and fellow teacher.

Inside the stadium the assembly hall is packed with examinee hopefuls, all waiting for the intro/information part of the exam to be underway. Izuku studies everyone around him cataloging scents and levels of confidence. There is a nervousness and unease in the air that is making him almost queasy. The muttering and chatter settle as the proctors take the stage.

"The provisional license exam," A man starts. "That's what you are here for." The students cheer, "Yeah… I'm Mera, with the heroes public safety commission. My favorite type of sleep is non-REM sleep. Nice to meet you all. Work is so busy that I barely sleep! We're terribly short-staffed… I Just wanna sleep!" He slumps "With that important information out of the way, let me explain the exam."

"He's not even trying to hide his exhaustion at all… is he really ok?"

"Getting right to it… all 1540 examinees present will be competing… in one massive free for all exercise!"

"Simple right?" Shindo boasts.

"For real?" Another question.

"Today's society is saturated with heroes." Mera begins, "And ever since stains capture, plenty of people out there have raised doubts about the role heroes should play. The title of hero should not be given to those seeking reward or recompense… but should be one earned by timeless self- sacrifice. That being said… as far as individuals go… motivations aside, telling those who risk their lives to save other lives to ask for nothing in return… would be rather harsh, especially in modern society. So, whether it's done for compensation or out of dedication to the cause, we have no shortage of heroes out there working to put villains away and save people. Nowadays, the amount of time it takes to resolve any given incident… is incredibly short. Those of you who earn your provisional licenses will be confronting such situations that unfold at a breakneck pace. Those who can't keep up are doomed to fail. This is why we're testing you on speed! Only the first 100 of you to meet the requirements will advance."

"Hold on! With 1540 of us total that is not even close to half!"

"Society is rarely so kind… there's no relying on luck." Mera sighs.

"For real?!"

"Now, the passing requirements… involve these," Mera holds up a ball. "Each examinee will get three targets. Place them wherever you like on your body, so long as they are exposed. Meaning no soles of the feel or armpits." He pauses, "Each of you will also carry 6 balls. The targets are rigged to light up only when struck by a ball. You are disqualified the instant that all three of your targets are hit. Those with three illuminated targets are considered "Defeated" to pass you must "Defeat" two other examinees; that is it for the rules."

"Kinda like the U.A. entrance exam… no… facing people is nothing like facing robots! Not a single ball can be wasted if one wants to pass. Are the test organizers implying that we should attempt to steal balls from other examinees?! These rules are even harsher than the entrance exam." Izuku mutters, "Not to mention the vibe from the other classes, aggression. They will be targeting us. They don't know packs abilities, but I also need to focus and keep the class in the game."

"Yes… so we'll be handing out the balls and targets once the place opens up. The exam will begin one minute after all examinees are fully equipped."

"Opens up?" Izuku's eyes flash in realization as the room they are in cracks open at the seams. Collapsing from the cube-like shape into a wide-open area.

"With every type of landscape available, you should all be able to find areas suited to you." The group observes the available landscapes "Make the best use of your talents."

"This place is so big!"

"We've carefully thought about all factors as we came up with these environments… What a drag. So much sleep lost…" Mera complains.

Up in the stands, the teachers sit to observe the examinees. Mrs. Joke sits a couple of seats down from Aizawa, "Eraser?" she chuckles childishly "You fly is down."

Aizawa growls arms crossed over his chest, "why am I always surrounded by obnoxious fools?"

"Anyways, you still have all 20, right?" Mrs. Joke states, "It's a rare year when you don't fail anyone." She glances side-eyed at Aizawa, "guess you must be very fond of this class."

Aizawa tucks his face into his scarf and huffs, "not really."

"Huh?" Mrs. Joke questions. "Blushing are we? So lame!" she chuckles. "Makes me want to date you!"

Aizawa growls "Shove it."

Mrs. Joke laughs "pretty weird if it's true though."

Back in the stadium, Izuku tries to get class 1-A to work together. "Early bird gets the worm here… people won't be fighting their own school mates… teaming up with friends and classmates whose quirks you know seems like the way to win!" Izuku hardens his stance flanked by his pack and radiating confidence. "We should stick together and move on as a group."

Iida runs off on his own, "I'm not gonna depend on your strategies to pass."

"I'm out too." Ochako follows Iida.

In groups of two or three more classmates leave the area. Sero takes off with Ojiro. After a minute of set up the only Class 1-A students near Izuku, is pack, Asui, Tokoyami, and Shoji. Izuku looks forlorn at the rest of his classmates, "I just don't think they will be better on their own."

"Why not, ribbit?" Asui asks.

"Due to the sports festival our moves are already well known, no doubt the others have studied our fighting styles. Plus all the other Schools target U.A. students specifically, its tradition." Izuku sighs.

"Let's just go, Nerd," Katsuki sighs. "If we run into any of the others we will help."

"Ok, Kacchan," Izuku sighs the perks up. "Most of our quirks are quite destructive we should go to an open area." Already starting to run toward a collection of boulders, away from the fake city.

Four Seconds Left.

"The format might be different every year, but this exam…" Mrs. Joke starts, "has one thing that you could call a "Tradition"."

Three seconds remain.

"The way to win I mentioned. I bet the other schools are thinking that too…" Izuku begins "This is gonna turn into a battle between school's I'm sure of it. Which means the next step is picking a school to target."

Two seconds remain.

"Out of all the schools competing here today… there is only one that has lost the advantage of having unknown quirks." Izuku continues, "One top school whose students had their quirks, styles, and weaknesses exposed to the world, thanks to the Sports Festival."

One second remains.

"This exam always starts off with…"

START

"The U.A. CRUSH!"

Shindo drops down in front of Izuku, "Super strength that wrecks your own body." he sneers "Let's see…"

"The nail that sticks out gets hammered down first!"

"The U.A. crush, right… it's not like I didn't tell them for any particular reason." Aizawa watches his students "It's not going to change what they have to do here." He smiles as Izuku and Katsuki flash smirks at the hordes of examinees crowding them. "They still have to overcome the odds." The group with Izuku move flawlessly blocking the incoming projectiles. Izuku catches a few of the balls with his feathers and shoots them back hitting a few of the students but not eliminating anyone yet. "It's a hero's job to turn the tables in a pinch." Luffy uses gear second and Jet Gatling to repel the balls back. Ace erects a flame wall around them vaporizing the incoming balls. "Once they go pro, it's a simple fact their quirks will be known to all." The group stands confidently with Izuku all wearing matching grins. "No offense, but compared to the rest of you, we're looking toward the future."

"Stick together Let's move!" Izuku commands as he leads the charge.

"The whole 'first hundred examinees' thing makes you think this is all about actively attack but…" Mrs. Joke observes, "Maybe not… am I right?"

"Unity, cooperation…" Aizawa begins, "and intel gathering is the real keys here. Those lured in by the first-to-the-finish rule… will start to panic… and get beaten at their own game."

"They are repelling most of them" One of the examinees informs.

"Yup. This alone won't be enough to take down U.A. kids." Shindo smirks.

"But well… now we've seen what they are made of…" he uses his quirk on the balls to harden them. Stronger than even concrete. He throws them to another student "You turn."

"My turn indeed." The other teen catches them and takes a pitching-like pose "Apologies in advance for possibly being the first to pass this exam, everyone. But given that I'll be reducing their numbers, perhaps you can forgive me." He throws the balls underground.

Izuku smirks "The balls are underground!"

'The target is set, and with the trajectory hidden underground, they can't react in time'

Izuku uses his tails to smash into the ground, breaking it apart.

"Oh he's digging up the balls" the other examinees observe.

"They're coming!" Izuku warns and commands his feathers to latch onto some of the balls. Luffy whips the balls away. Katsuki explodes the couple that breakthrough Izuku's guard. Ashido uses her new move to block the balls headed for Asui.

"Stickiness and acidity to the max!" Ashido shouts out, "Acid Veil!"

"You saved me, Ashido-Chan" Asui thanks.

"It's like a defensive wall that melts everything away" Ashido beams.

Up in the stands, the other teachers observe and comment.

"Looks like they've been working on their special moves." One teacher comments

"U.A. hasn't been slacking off." Another agrees.

"You've left yourselves open" Tokoyami unleashes Dark Shadow, "Black Abyss!"

"Made it easier to say huh? Looks cooler too." Izuku approves.

"PIERCING TWILIGHT CLAWS!" Dark Shadow screeches.

"Close on" the examinee dodges.

"HMPH… he's good."

"This isn't the same class A we saw at the sports festival." Shindo smirks "They've come a long way already."

Mera observes the fighting on a laptop, "Uh… the event is at a stalemate… not a single examinee has passed yet… oh right, just letting you all know that I'll be doing play by play announcements from the broadcast booth."

"No one? Still?" Izuku mutters. 'our targets on our bodies are basically our weak points. That means we gotta fight while guarding those spots. Still, balls thrown haphazardly are unlikely to hit their mark. We are still watching and learning at this point! This is the stage where everyone's figuring out each other's quirks and weaknesses. In all likelihood this battle…'

Shindo cracks his knuckles "All Right"

'…is about to heat up!'

"You sure talk like you're above it all, Eraser." Joke comments, "Kids hoping to be heroes are a dime a dozen, you know." She observes he own class getting serious "And how far their determination will take them has nothing to do with how famous they are." She looks at Aizawa "Pretending you're the stars of the show and looking down on others is a good way… to get your just deserts."

"Everyone get back! Their defense is too good!" Shindo calls as he places his hands on the ground "We gotta split them up"

Izuku senses the tremors under his feet and starts to shift.

"Maximum Force!" Shindo shouts as a massive earthquake shatters the landscape "Tremoring Earth!"

Observing the damage Shindo sneers "you're not the only ones who've been working on ultimate moves"

Izuku is in full wolf form with the others on his back hovering and leaping from the wreckage. He searches for a stable plot of land. All over the battlefield the examinees turn to the commotion and see Izuku's giant wolf form.

"Is that even allowed"

"How is that fair."

"He should be disqualified."

Mera interrupts the chatter, "This is a quirk ability, if you can not handle something as unexpected as your opponent shifting; you shouldn't be here."

Izuku's wolf form draws the attention of Inasa. The lumbering brute uses his quirk to try and force Izuku off his course. Katsuki, Kaminari, and Kirishima get blown off his back. Luffy, Sabo, Ace, and Shoto leap off him to follow their other pack mates. Ashido, Asui, and Tokoyami try to help get Izuku stable again. Izuku lands hard with a thud, shifting back into his human form so he doesn't crush his teammates. "Is everyone ok?" He calls.

"Yea, we are fine." Ashido, Asui, and Tokoyami respond.

"Where is Kacchan?" Izuku searches frantically "Where are the others?"

"Bakugo, Kirishima, and Kaminari got blown off your back, Ace, Sabo, Shoto, and Luffy went to find them," Ashido informs.

Izuku visibly relaxes, "Ok we will meet up with them soon, lets take care of this mess."

The wind picks up again blowing debris and balls around. The loud booming voice of Inasa is heard over the hurricane-force winds "I believe heroes should be hot-blooded! So good job with this hot-blooded battle, guys! I freaking love it!"

"He is from Shiketsu High! But he's alone?" A student calls.

"What's he even talking about?! I mean I heard him, but…" Another student responds.

"Hold on. With the balls gone, we're out of options." Another observes.

"If it is not too much trouble, I'd like to join this white-hot battle!" The wind picks up again whipping violently. "Please and" He forces the wind to whip the balls back into the masses below "Thank you!"

Izuku smirks and closes his eyes using his feathers to repel the balls aimed at his friends, and observation Haki to dodge each ball head toward him. Asui, Ashido, Tokoyami, and himself come out of the windstorm all targets complete unscathed.

"Finally, looks like somebody is passing this thing…" Mera observes his screen, "Whoa?!" He shouts shocked "One hundred and twenty examinees are out! And all taken down by a single fighter!"

"All Right! I win!" Inasa cheers.

"Nothing beats a surprise like that to wake a guy up." Mera starts, "But wait what's this, there are four students complete unscathed from that windstorm, how did they manage to block all those balls." He considers for a moment "Could their targets be malfunctioning?"

Izuku smirks, he takes one of his balls and touches one of his targets forcing it to light up.

"Their targets seem to be working just fine," Mera observes as the target lights up on his screen. "Keep up the pace, Ladies, and Gentlemen."

"Ohh, that was intense" Izuku laughs as the dust settles "That is one intense quirk!" Izuku smirks eyes burning and glowing "I'm actually… Kinda Excited!" Izuku senses pick up something and he dodges, he grabs the person sneaking up on him and plants a ball to the person's target.

"Danm, I thought you'd be more distracted than that." A girl pouts.

'This girl… she's from Shiketsu high!'

"Standing around smiling, even in a crisis?" She looks up at him "Kinda Weird." She stands up "But also kinda cool." She points to Izuku, "In a chaotic exam like this, there's sure to be lots of us who would target those we already know most about. Given that, I realized U.A. would probably be taken out quickly, so I came to find you people. This just seems like a good chance to go to know other strong schools, and, boy, I really wanna know more about you guys at U.A."

Izuku smirks and gets into a fighting stance "You… Talk too much…"

The girl throws another ball at Izuku he dodges and looks around to see if anyone else from Shiketsu High is around. He looks toward his opponent only to find out she disappeared. "She's… gone" He closes his eyes and uses his observation Haki to sense her. He feels her trying to go for his side target and sidesteps. He turns slightly to catch her hand and tosses her away. 'now it's my turn' he cocks his arm back going to throw the ball at her, but she disappears again. With his senses, he is not worried he throws the ball as she reappears.

"You must be thinking I must have some type of vanishing quirk, right?" She taunts "Wrong I was just hiding. All I'm doing is hiding from your eyes and ears. The moment I stop breathing and thinking, I can blend in." She tackles him "The trick is not to see the training as training… looks like we both want to learn about each other, huh?"

Izuku bucks her off him "You are not the only one with a special non-quirk ability. You can't fully hide from me."

"What do you mean?" She questions confused, is it possible this cutie has been tricking her.

"You may be able to hide by clearing your mind and holding your breath…" Izuku starts "But you can't cover your scent or your intentions."

"My scent?"

"The first time you tried to touch me I locked on to your scent." Izuku explains "Now I can pick you out all over the battlefield."

"That's kinda gross," she states.

"Maybe" Izuku shrugs. "but it is useful."

"So now, your turn…" She smiles "Why're you hoping to become a hero? Honor? Pride? For someone else's sake? I want to know all about you."

The two come under attack by the Ketsubutsu class "Shiketsu's here now… what a pain…"

"Shit" Izuku huffs. 'I'm outnumbered, well no use dwelling on it.' Izuku smirks and gets his feathers ready.

"You Okay?!" a voice rings out

Izuku turns and sees Ashido perched on some rubble "Over here!"

"Huh?" What's her plan?" Izuku mutters.

"You ain't going anywhere!" a bunch of examinees attack Ashido. Ashido steps back and slips off the edge of the platform she is on.

"Wahh!" Ashido screams as she falls.

"Nice, she fell. The girl is mine now!"

"Huh?! Hold on."

'Back then I chose to fight. I busted myself up. If I hadn't taken so much damage… I might've been able to steal back Kacchan and Ace. If I'd succeeded, then maybe All Might wouldn't have had to fight All for One. Back then… If only I carried Kota… back to Aizawa-Sensei. If only I'd run away… Faster than that villain could have followed!' he powers OFA into his legs and leaps toward the falling form of Ashido 'I'm training now with a focus on my legs… because I should have gotten there faster' He catches her and leaps off 'in order to save others… I first gotta keep myself safe!' Protecting Ashido he kicks out the ground beneath the other examinee's feet causing them to lose their footing. Giving Izuku enough time to retreat.

"He totally destroyed our foothold" An examinee screeches "These U.A. jerks are really clever!"

"They're gone. Must be hiding!" Another shouts "Gotta be nearby! Man destroying everything like this really isn't that efficient after all!"

"Thanks" Ashido starts, "Sorry, I'm so clumsy."

"Hmm" Izuku hums searching his surrounding back turned toward Ashido, "No problem… really…"

Ashido moves her hand over one of her balls.

"But never mind that for now…" Izuku starts.

Ashido picks up the ball and goes for Izuku's target.

He turns slightly and whips the ball out of her hand. "you wouldn't happen to be from Shiketsu would you?"

"Huh?" Ashido gasps.

"Because Ashido been training her quirk… She would have activated Acid to her feet and slid down the side of the rock. In a pinch like this, she wouldn't have forgotten to use it… and reveal herself to the enemy without a plan… No, you are not Ashido."

"So you knew… but you saved me anyway?" The imposter's face starts melting "hoping to use me to your own advantage somehow?"

"Nah. I wasn't thinking that far ahead, but it's still a good thing I acted…since you are not Ashido you couldn't have slid down… you would've fallen and really hurt your back." Izuku states.

"I see… so that was your reason." The imposter reveals herself to be the sneaky woman from Shiketsu. "You've got to let me get to know you better."

Izuku smiles "How about… After this test is over?"

"Things are now moving right along! At present we have 52… no, 53 passing examinees! One after the another…" Mera announces "…At this point! And many are claiming more than two victims each since we currently have 230 disqualified students."

Shoto, Ace, Luffy, and Sabo were searching for Katsuki, Kirishima and Denki when they ran into a group of students. All four of the packmates worked effectively together to protect each other and eliminate the incoming group. Sabo worked flawlessly with his lost brothers in a way that brought nostalgic smiles to the boys' faces. Shoto using his years of combat experience adapted quickly using his ice to defend the back of the brothers.

"And there's numbers 54, 55, 56, and 57. More than halfway there now, so let's hurry up and finish this thing!" Mera cheers.

"Now we can look for the others" Shoto states.

BEEP, BEEP "You've passed, so please proceed to the reception room."

"All three of our targets are lit up" Ace informs.

"The data on who has passed and who has failed is all sent via these targets! They sync up with their hosts and balls, and measure things like distance and motion in order to determine who's doing the hitting and who's getting hit! Once attached, they can't be removed without a special magnetic key! How high-tech are these things?!"

"Hurry up, Quickly now!"

"Shit, it looks like we won't be able to look for the others." Shoto comments

Luffy pouts "But Kiri…"

"Is with Blasty and Denki, he will be fine." Ace interrupts. "we have to put our faith in them to pass this."

"What about Izuku?" Luffy tries to argue.

"Knowing him he is probably trying to help everyone he runs into. He is strong he will pass." Shoto comforts.

"Ok, I guess all we can do is wait for them in the holding area." Luffy relents.

The four walk to the holding area where the other passing students are. "Plenty here already" Shoto comments.

"Seriously?! I also freaking love Stampman! He's one hot-blooded hero!" A loud familiar voice rings out.

Shoto and the group pass the loud teen to a secluded spot in the waiting room 'given his special recommendation acceptance, I would've met this guy at the entrance ceremony…'

"That Said, I…" Inasa pauses sensing the new arrivals he glares at the group. More specifically Shoto. He dismisses the other teen soon enough confusing Shoto and continues his conversation with a clearly uncomfortable teen, "W-what was I just saying?"

"No clue dude, you started talking to me." The uneasy teen meekly responds.

"What was that about," Ace asks concerned.

Shoto shakes his head deep in thought, and confusion marring his features.

*** Back with Izuku***

"So you'll save anyone huh?" The female chuckles. "No exceptions? Where do you draw the line?"

"Where did your clothes go?! You can't be naked here! Put something on!" Izuku shouts.

She ignores him "If you're gonna act, then do it."

Green fire wraps around the girl shocking her enough to miss her swipe across Izuku's face. 'Trying to scratch me? What is up with this chick?'

"W-What… What is this?" She asks clearly shocked and confused that the flames are not burning her.

"A flame suit" Izuku states blandly "shouldn't be naked around a bunch of strangers"

"Aww…" She gets interrupted by a stream of acid cutting between her and Izuku.

"Acid!" Izuku exclaims.

"Mido-Chan!" Asui calls out.

"Tsuyu! Perfect timing!" Izuku sighs relieved.

"Mina!" Asui calls

Both girls move to attack the teen from Shiketsu High, she dodges "Amazing Reflexes!" Ashido glares out.

"And things were just getting good…" she lands on a pile of rubble "Too bad really, I wanted to talk a bit more but…" she chuckles, "… It looks like that won't be possible now." She sighs dramatically, "too bad." She spots Ashido " Mina Ashido," the said girl, looks at her with hard eyes "He really does trust you."

"Huh?" Ashido blushes confused. The woman leaps off past the rubble. Izuku moves in front of Ashido and Asui.

"No, don't go after her!" Izuku commands.

"Huh? Why not?" Asui asks.

"She managed to strip away her clothes, targets, and all. Must have something to do with her quirk." Izuku summarizes "We run the risk of having her come after us again, but given the time constraints and all, it'll be hard to score any points off her."

"Is that why you had her in your Flame Suit?" Ashido smirks.

"She was naked on a battlefield" Izuku reasons. "We should wait here, our opponents are in a group of at least ten, so they'd overpower us with their number at this point. Unlikely but possible."

Before Izuku can say more about his plan Mera interrupts with an announcement, "A few more have passed now, making a total of 62 in total, only 38 more slots open!"

"We know you are strong enough to take out everyone, so why are you playing weaker than you are." Asui questions.

"Simple, I could eliminate everyone here easily, but I won't for a few reasons, first is I'll be the only one who passes. Secondly, I wanted to use this opportunity to study the other student's quirks, we hardly ever get to see them in action." He admits with a blush, "And lastly, where is the fun if I took everyone out?" He finishes with a feral smirk that looks like it should be on Katsuki instead. "We are being targeted specifically but…" Izuku's eyes glaze over thinking over every possibility and observing his surroundings with observation Haki "we might be able to do something about the group nearby."

"Huh?! That'd be awesome! What's the plan?" Tokoyami and shoji appear in their little huddle. Izuku sniffs the air around him he knows all of class 1-A's scents a pleased rumble escapes him as these two are really his classmates.

"I saw some of them trying to get the jump on others. They're seriously chomping at the bit to nail us. When it's a mob targeting a smaller group, there is naturally going to be some infighting over who gets the prey." Izuku explains the plan forming in his head.

"So when they try to get the jump on the others, their numbers will drop. Not a good move…" Shoji whispers.

"Mido-Chan, you said we needed to stick together, how do you suppose we do that now?" Asui questions not quite following.

"The test revolves around hitting these targets with balls, which makes it seem like it's all about aiming and throwing." Izuku uses his fist and palm to demonstrate. "But we're largely in the dark when it comes to their quirks. They're constantly on the move and are guarding their own targets to boot, so hitting them won't be quick or easy." He explains. "That's why we ought to find enough enemies for our whole class to pass, tie them up and let them just tap them with the balls, we've got a few people in Class A with wide-range attacks so I think we can pull this off."

"I get it, we've been assuming we had to be good a throwing these things, but in fact, we really don't need to the ball just has to hit the targets." Asui comments.

"Shh, I think they are coming" Shoji whispers.

"I'm going out there!" Izuku warns

"Huh?" Ashido moves to stop him.

"I'll be the bait." Izuku starts eyes battle-ready and relaxed. "You guys look for an opening and try to capture as many of them as you can! Mina, you have been working on the stickiness of your acid, right?" Ashido nods, "Then stick them to the ground without melting them. Asui tie as many of them as you can with your tongue. Tokoyami and Shoji take care of what I miss."

"You're bait, huh? With so few of us it doesn't seem possible." Ashido comments "But if anyone can pull it off it is you."

"All right…!" Izuku turns his back on them and unfurls his wings and powering up full cowling.

'I trust you. You've proven yourself enough times to earn that much.' The other collectively think.

"Let's Move!" Izuku commands.

Meanwhile, elsewhere….

Denki is panicking, severely panicking. "Why did that guy have to blow us off Izuku's back?" he screeches

"Then go find him, Spark Plug!" Katsuki growls.

"I don't even know where to look." Denki dramatically cries, "you saw what happened to Kirishima!"

A student blocks their path, a bunch of mangled students in meatball shapes. "We students of Shiketsu High feel it is our duty to wear these caps during any and all public events. Why you might ask? Because our every action reflects back on the legacy of Shiketsu High School. This is a demonstration meant to show the sheer difference… between us, who cultivate that sense of duty and pride, especially in a public setting, and the rest of you. A mere mob of roughnecks who think you have what it take to be heroes." The student monologues.

Katsuki smirks "I fucking hate his type!"

"What's he even saying? I can't make heads or tails of it!" Kaminari sounds confused.

"Hard to tell what he is made of with those squinty eyes," Katsuki observes.

"MY EYES ARE BIG AND HANDSOME!" the student rages

"So he's got an inferiority complex about it. Better not piss him off more" Denki warns.

"U.A. High… I respected you, you know." The student bows. "I even felt you might actually measure up to our school. However, your class A has done nothing but erode that respect…" He moves to use his quirk.

"IT'S JUST LIKE BEFORE! THOSE GROSS THINGS!" Denki shouts panicked.

"Shuddup!" Katsuki hisses. "Duty? Pride? Blah, Blah, Blah… Enough talk." Katsuki smirks getting ready to explode "Try showing us what you're made of, SIR!"

The student launches his quirk right at Katsuki "You, most of all! BAKUGO!"

*** up in the stands***

"Want some gum?" Joke offers.

"The prank kind that traps your finger? No thanks." Aizawa dismisses, "so frustrating that we can't even see who has passed and who has failed…"

"Shindo made it worse with that ground splitter. Wait." She looks at Aizawa, "Don't tell me you are worried about them?!"

"…" Aizawa sighs "When it comes to Class A, one thing becomes obvious after watching them long enough. Chances are even if they have realized it or not. But the class revolves around a certain pair. They work so well together they serve as pillars or something like that. Somewhere along the way, they have infected the rest of the class with their passion and drive."

"Let's go!"

"Yeah!"

"It's odd, but at least one of them is sure to be at the heart of every storm." Aizawa side-looks at Joke, "So no, Joke, I'm not worried. I'm expecting big things." He smiles fondly but hides it in his scarf "The very presence of those two… raises the bar for the entire class."

"If you love them so much why don'tcha marry 'em?" She laughs, "Gross!"

*** Back with our favorite Bomberanian***

Katsuki explodes the income projectiles, "It's a scattershot version of my AP Shot… I call it "Armor-piercing shot: Auto Cannon"!"

"This is why people don't like you, Kats." Denki gasps. Not quite sure what to make of Katsuki's face right now. To Denki, Katsuki looks intense borderline evil with his tongue licking his lips and a deadly, terrifying grin to match.

"Tch…!" The random student grunts as he calls back his quirk, "I, of all people, fell for his provocations."

"THOSE GROSS THINGS… WENT BACK TO HIM!?" Denki shouts.

'Easily provoked with an impulsive personality… they're earnest manifestations of his lofty pride' the student observes 'in that case…!' he launches more of his gross quirk at the pair "I'll have to beat this lesson into you. Acting with class befitting one's institution… that is the meaning of dignity."

"WHAT'S HE GOING ON ABOUT NOW?!" Denki exclaims.

"KEEP FLAPPING THOES LIPS IF YOU WANNA DIE!" Katsuki rages launching himself toward his opponent.

"Whoa, don't forget this is just a test." Denki reminds. Having his comment ignored he gets ready to jump into the fray "Sheesh! We are not making much headway… in this battle." He loads up the sharpshooting gear Kato gave him yesterday; he is excited to try these out for himself. "So how about I finish this thing!" his first shot misses his target crashing into the wall behind the other student. "Aw, crap!"

"Projectiles…? What a nuisance. You'll be the first I make into a ball." He changes his focus to Kaminari.

In Katsuki's own way he moves to intercept, "Don't…" he makes an explosion at point-blank range, aimed to stun. "…Fucking ignore me!"

"I wasn't" the student recovers quickly. Taking advantage of Katsuki's hot-headedness hits him in the back of the neck with his quirk.

"HUGH?!" Katsuki glares at the goop on his neck as it starts to grow.

'I snuck one piece down under the structure.' "Now then… as you witnessed earlier, with Kirishima… once my flesh touches you… it is all over."

"KATSUKI!" Denki panics as Katsuki struggles to get out of the goop growing and compressing around him.

"CRAP!" Katsuki screams, grabs the grenade belt off his waist, and throws it to Kaminari, "Hey, Idiot, here…" just as Denki catches the grenades Katsuki is consumed by the blob, looking as if he took a turn in a blender.

"If you're gonna come at me again, don't hold back." The student taunts.

"Whoa…" Denki almost freezes.

"This demonstration as it were. This test is constructed to find the best of the best because All Might's retirement marks a turning point, you see. Society isn't meant to have a constant influx of new heroes." He continues to talk, "What this all implies… is that the wheat is to be separated from the chaff. I surmise that they have begun to screen for the noble calling of hero more rigorously now. I fully support those efforts… and will contribute by removing you people from the equation." He rants.

"Even if it means ignoring the test itself…?!" Denki remarks stalling, "Sound weird to me…"

"No. What is weird is ordinary individuals being so highly regarded." He steps on Bakugo's meatball. "By the way… even in this form, your friends are still capable of feeling pain. Your electricity will still hurt them, Denki Kaminari."

"Man you sure know how to hurt people with words…" Denki rubs his forehead "Really wish you would cut that out."

"That is because you recognize what I say to be true." The student activates his quirk again. "you would do well… to reflect."

Denki dodges "Oh I'm not talking about me." He throws the grenade Bakugo tossed at him.

"BOOOM"

"An explosion?! But Bakugo should still be balled up!" the student looks for the source of the explosion. 'a piece of Bakugo's uniform?'

"He fills those things with an explosive liquid to make a simple hand grenade" Denki explains, "I asked him if they were just for fashion once. Nearly nit my head off, but he told me all about them"

'Bakugo must have given it to him then!'

"By the way," Denki charges his electricity to his finger, holding it out like a pistol, "Nice dodging! And right into the perfect spot too…"

"Huh?!" Before the other student can comprehend what has happened, he is being electrocuted "GWAHHHH?!"

Denki looks at his sharpshooting gear fondly, having finally been able to test them out "Still with this… I guess I can use my quirk without zapping any allies." 'I saw that, Bakugo… how you didn't use a huge explosion even when blocking his attacks. You purposely narrowed those blasts.' He smiles fondly 'All so you wouldn't accidentally hit me or Kirishima.' "He may come off as a guy with a shit personality, but I can think of no one working harder to be the best hero he can be." He grins maniacally "and giving me that grenade to break the stalemate took some real coolheaded judgment on his part. Then for Kirishima… for his friend's sake, he charged at you head-on." His face is serious "He's actually a stupidly good guy!"

The downed student just barely conscious 'he got me…! I waved for an instant!'

"So don't think some half-baked intel is enough for you to know him…" Denki powers up another electric attack "AND DON'T GO DISSING MY FRIENDS!"

"KNOW YOUR PLACE WORM!" the student shouts at him. The student is frazzled enough not to realize he has lost his grip on his meatball quirk releasing Katsuki and Kirishima.

"So taking damage releases the spell?" Katsuki smirks as he and Kirishima clothesline the student knocking him out. "No wonder you were sticking to ranged attacks like that."

"Thanks for that… Denki" Kirishima smiles all teeth

"WAY TO TAKE YOUR DANMED TIME, PIKACHU!" Katsuki rages.

"So harsh! It's no surprise people go around dissing you, honestly!" Denki pouts, "LOOK BEHIND YOU!" Denki warns.

Katsuki and Kirishima turn around, they notice about 25 other examinees reforming in front of them.

"You were the only two… he made into meatballs!" Denki shouts.

Katsuki grins and licks his lips, radiating bloodlust "I know."

Meanwhile back with Izuku

"Izuku!" Ashido calls

"Mido-Chan!" Asui shouts

"Let's do it!" Izuku commands. He leaps out of their little hovel using observation Haki and his feathers to Paralyze most of the opponents near him. A few of the opponents manage to dodge the incoming feathers only to be trapped by Ashido's sticky Acid. Asui whips her tongue out to wrap around a few that were trying to scatter.

"I know I said… to round up as many as possible but… that was amazing…" Izuku praises stars in his eyes, "Good job making them panic without letting them Scatter."

"We have hit the 80 Mark. Almost to our quota!" Is announced.

"Times almost up, and they're probably more coming for us… so let's finish this now." Izuku states.

"You're first-years, right? Gimme a break." A student begs "We're the ones who need these licenses. It's do -or- die for us…"

"Yeah" Izuku states "Same here!"

Izuku, Ashido, Asui, Tokoyami, And Shoji secure their wins.

"That makes 85, keep up the pace, Everyone!"

'What about everyone else?' Izuku wonders gazing in the direction he can feel Kacchan, Kirishima and Denki in. he almost panicked and flew off when he felt Katsuki's presence fading… well not fading but it definitely shrunk. The only thing that kept him going was the Spark of Denki he didn't seem hysterically panicky as he would if Katsuki and Kirishima were severely injured.

"These kids sure are bursting with youthful energy…" Mera sighs, "There is a weird anomaly emerging this time though…" he pauses and looks at the results "Every tear it's an uphill battle for U.A., but… they haven't lost a single examinee yet." He turns to the mass of people behind him "You'd better get ready to move."

"HEH, HEH, HEH… the livelier the youngsters are, the more fun it is to crush them…!"

"Round two of the test… is on you guys" Mera sighs.

After Katsuki, Kirishima and Denki tag out the confused reformed meatballs the announcer calls it "That makes 88 total. Only 12 spots left."

Denki walks into the waiting room "Huh?... Hey is that Ashido?! Nice going there."

"Denki!" Ashido runs up and engulfs her friend in a hug.

"KIRISHIMA" Luffy shouts from the other side of the room slingshotting himself into his Soulmate in a fit of laughter.

Kirishima catches Luffy, entirely used to this, and laughs happily with him "Lu! You made it!"

Katsuki makes his way to Izuku tail wagging and for once he can't force himself to make it stop "Nerd." He greets fondly.

"Kacchan! Thank god you passed. It looks like the entire group has made it through." Izuku smiles warmly at Katsuki.

"Were you doubting me? Nerd!" Katsuki playfully growls.

"Not at all, Kacchan is strong." Izuku hums "But there was a moment where I felt you shrink?"

"I was turned into a meatball" Katsuki mumbles out.

"A MEATBALL… how does that even work, is it like getting compressed into a ball-like shape…" Katsuki chops Izuku before he can go into a muttering fit.

"Stop nerding, Nerd!" Katsuki commands, "It was more like being turned inside out and then compressed into a lump on the ground."

"OMG KACCHAN!" Izuku shouts wide-eyed and half a second away from panicking. Green fire laps and lashes around him.

" 'M fine Nerd!" Katsuki shouts, he pouts as he remembers the feeling "I feel disgusting though."

Izuku blushes "is Kacchan sure, you don't need healing? Are you sore? Is everything back to normal?"

"Nerd look at me!" Katsuki commands sternly. Izuku looks at Katsuki, checking him over for any obvious signs that Katsuki is hiding injuries. "I am fine, Nerd. The important thing is we all passed."

"Kacchan." Izuku mumbles, he takes a few calming breaths and recenters himself, "You're right Kacchan," eyes shining with unshed tears "Sorry for panicking like that."

"'s Ok" Katsuki smiles, he sighs almost dramatically, "The first thing I want to do when we get done here is taking a shower. Then all I want to do for the rest of the night is cuddle with my Nerd."

"Of Course, Kacchan." Izuku agrees happily.

(The other class A matches are the same… I won't be writing them)

The announcer counts don't the number of students passing, the waiting room filling with more class 1-A students. Shindo's group passed as well. Izuku studies the groups of people entering the room. The rest of his Pack chatting about him.

Over the loudspeaker Mera's voice shouts, "IT'S OVER!" cheers for the victors and sighs from the losers ring out over the stadium "One hundred have successfully passed! We're done! Finished! HAHHH!" he laughs maniacally, "on a less uplifting note, could all those who failed please proceed to the exit?"

"YEAHHH!" The excitable students in Class 1-A cheer.

"This is great!"

"Greater than great!"

"Our whole class…" More cheering "Passed the first round!"

Across the room, more shouting is heard, "Shishikura Senpai really failed!?" Inasa shouts in disbelief.

"That drama queen dashed out alone and tried to Solo it! A hairy student informs "The rest of you too! I expected it from our first year, Yoarashi, but Camie! Bad girl!"

"Sorry" Camie pouts.

"Now will all hundred of you watch the screen?" Rings out in the room drawing the victors attention to the screen.

There is a city-like area, some buildings look ready to collapse, some exploding. "Round two is the last one! You, Examinees, will perform rescue ops in groups. You will venture into the ruins as bystanders… and prove your worth when it comes to rescuing innocent victims."
