Chapter 39: Shigaraki's Mistake
Aizawa was exhausted. He wasn't used to such long drawn out fights. Especially, not against so many opponents. He was starting to slow down, and soon it would start to be noticeable.
"Dang it," the underground hero thought. "I can't go on for much longer like this! Where the hell is our back up! Surely they would have noticed something was up by now?!"
Aizawa blinked once again and he quickly dodged someone throwing energy beams at him and then tried to knock out as many opponents as he could. Then, once again, he activated his quirk. His eyes were burning from the strain of overusing his quirk, but he refused to give into the pain. His students were counting on him!
The blue haired man wearing disembodied hands then started running toward him, his pale white palm held out in front of him.
"The final boss," Aizawa announced—giving a drawn out, internal sigh in exhaustion—as he slung his scarf at him; eyes burning a bright red underneath his golden goggles.
24 seconds.
The villain grabbed his scarf.
17 seconds.
Aizawa yanked his scarf back and elbowed the villain in the gut—unknown to him, six students on opposite sides of the court yard watched the fight in awe.
"It's hard to see because you keep moving around, but there's an instant where your hair falls," the villain ladened with hands stated, and Aizawa's eyes widened at the villain's deduction. "That's when your ability to use your quirk grows shorter and shorter... Don't push yourself, Eraserhead."
The villain quickly grabbed Aizawa's elbow before the underground hero could get away and his elbow's skin started to decay. Aizawa refused to scream in pain, not wanting to give the villain the satisfaction. Aizawa pushed the man away and jumped back, his arm now hanging limply at his side.
"That quirk isn't suited for fighting long fights against a large group is it," the blue haired man said with a toothy, deranged grin. "Isn't this too different from your usual job? What you're good at is short fights against against a single opponent in a surprise attack, right? Even so, you jumped right in to fight us from the front. Was that to put your students at ease?"
Aizawa kept dodging as the hand wearing villain kept swiping at him wildly. As another villain joined the fray, Aizawa used his scarf as a shield and then kicked them away before turning to the blue haired man once again.
"You're so cool," the clearly insane man muttered before he grinned madly at the exhausted and injured pro. "By the way...I'm not the last boss."
Before Aizawa could react, the raven haired pro's head was slammed into the ground and his goggles shattered from the force. Blood and glass splattered across the ground like raindrops.
The villain laughed manically as Aizawa tried to gain his bearings.
"Hahaha! This is the anti-Symbol of Peace, Nomu," the crazy man declared as he gestured at the beast with his arms. "Engineered to take down Allmight!"
Eraserhead tried to erase the beast's quirk, but the Nomu just slammed his hand down on his good arm, shattering it like a porcelain doll. The hand wearing villain just laughed and started monologuing about power, however, Aizawa couldn't concentrate due to the overwhelming pain.
Suddenly, the warp gate villain warped besides his boss.
"Shigaraki Tomura," the villain greeted his boss.
"Kurogiri, have you disposed of Thirteen," the blue haired man asked.
"I put Thirteen out of commission, but one of the students got away," the newly name Kurogiri reported.
Shigaraki turned to look at his underling, completely ticked off, as he obsessively scratched his neck.
"Kurogiri, you imbecile," he hissed at the mist covered man. "If you weren't our get away transport, I would dust you! We can't win against an army of pros! It's game over! Let's go home! But...before we leave, let's tear down the pride of the Symbol of Peace!"
In a blink of an eye, Shigiraki was over by a group of watching students and aiming his destructive palm towards a green haired girl. She closed her eyes reflexively while her companions gasped in shock, and one of them grabbed her to pull her out of the line of fire. However, the blue haired villain clutched her head before they could complete the action.
To their immense relief, there was no reaction besides the sound of his palm slapping against her forehead. The hand wearing man growled out his frustration as he turned to look at their sensei.
"You're so cool," he grudgingly admitted to the down pro once again. "But, your annoying. Nomu!"
The bird creature once again slammed the underground hero's head into the ground. Then, the villain turned back towards the students.
"Now, where were we," he asked, with a sick, sadistic twinkle glowed in his eyes to compliment his sharp, evil grin.
The man reached out towards Tsu again and Hitoshi quickly pulled her behind him, taking the incoming blow to his stomach. His screams echoed around the whole building.
The blue haired man laughed in glee at Hitoshi's pain as he disintegrated the violet haired teen's skin and muscles to the horror of his companions.
Suddenly, a dark, oppressive aura filled the air, and Shigaraki immediately stopped laughing. He released his hold on Hitoshi on instinct as he back away and looked around for the source of the dangerous presence.
Then, a low, dark laugh shook the silence as it's menacing tone laced the air around them. Shigaraki shivered as the air became colder and the tension was created by the heavy weight in the air.
What was going on?!
This couldn't be the work of the heroes!
0000000
Izuku watched in shock as his sensei was so easily taken down by that monstrosity that couldn't have been naturally made.
"Brat," William said. "It's time to get serious. Be prepared to switch at a moments notice. We're on our own now and the other pros most likely won't get here in time."
Izuku nodded as his eyes narrowed.
Then, the unthinkable happened. The villain injured Hitoshi.
Izuku let out a feral growl that startled his classmates.
"Midoriay," Ojiro asked cautiously.
Izuku smirked dangerously, and didn't answer.
"Spring," Izuku purred sweetly to the humanoid bunny. "Would you like a new plaything?"
The man laughed dangerously in delight.
"You know I would, Zuku~," the yellowish-green bunny purred back in response.
"Then give them hell," William ordered, giving his permission with murder in his sharp silvery blue eyes.
Izuku quickly slipped away, much to his classmates distress, and then he gave Spring full control.
The split personality quickly took the driver's seat and let his aura run free. It was dark and dangerous. Cold chills ran up the backs of everyone who felt it.
Then, the bunny started laughing. It's been forever since he was set lose! This was going to be fun! Those idiot was pay for daring to hurt someone who was under his protection!
And William gave him his full permission too.
Hehehehe!
If that blue haired idiot wanted a game, then he would play one the idiot could never have imagined!
