Hey guys!

First of all... happy April! Spring is here and I have a new laptop. Second of all I can only apologise for my unscheduled lack of midmonth updates. Unfortunately my Grandad suddenly passed away and, as you can imagine, I was rather a mess for a while and the last thing on my mind was updating and writing but I'm back now and here's some updates at long last.

Lots of love,

LSH xx

Breaking Traditions-Part 41:

Priscilla and Abraxas were loving spending time with Rosalie and had even taken a turn at watching their tiny granddaughter so Lucius and Narcissa could have a nap and spend some time together. They wouldn't admit it but they were happy having a baby to care for again.

"Do you wish we'd tried to have another one after losing Lucia?" Abraxas asked as he looked at his wife holding Rosalie in her arms.

"We had Lucius and it wasn't worth the risk. He wouldn't have coped with losing me and neither would you," Priscilla said as she looked at her husband and then moved to sit next to him, "we had Lucius and he had to be the focus. Of course I would have loved another child but it wasn't to be," she said softly before she looked down at Rosa again and smiled softly, "but we have Lucius, Cissa, Draco and now Rosalie. In some ways we got the daughter we wanted and then a whole family as well."

Abraxas smiled softly and nodded. He knew that's she'd wanted a daughter deep down but after losing their daughter she'd instantly given up. Had they been a bit braver then maybe they'd have adopted but it was unthinkable in those times, far greater than it was nowadays.

It was the next day and Lucius and Narcissa headed to Hogwarts and were soon sat in Dumbledore's office and the old wizard was looking at Rosalie and smiled.

"Her name is already on the register. It appeared as soon as she had a name," Dumbledore said, "I wonder what House she will be in…"

"We don't care," Narcissa said, "obviously we'd say Slytherin but we shall see when the time comes what the Sorting Hat thinks," she said, "does Draco know that we're here?"

"He is on his way now with Minerva," the Headmaster said before he heard a knock on the door and he rose from his chair and allowed Draco inside before he took his leave and headed into his office library.

Lucius was on his feet and Draco nodded at him.

"Good afternoon father. I trust you are well," he said.

"Very well Draco. Your mother is here as well," Lucius replied and Draco's eyes widened and he rushed forwards before stopping as he saw the bundle in his mother's arms and he gasped softly.

"Is that…?"

"This is your baby sister and now you get to meet her," Narcissa smiled, "I get to have my babies together finally," she smiled as she patted the seat next to her and watched Draco before turning Rosalie to face Draco, "meet your little sister Rosalie," she said softly and Draco smiled as he looked at her.

"She's perfect," he said softly as he looked at his sister before Narcissa moved to place Rosalie into his arms and he looked at her and went to move away, "I don't want to drop her…"

Lucius chuckled and looked at his son.

"I said the exact same thing before I held her for the first time," he said softly as he looked at Draco, "let your mother help and you'll be fine," he said softly and Draco nodded before he allowed his mother to help him to hold her correctly and he smiled as he stroked her cheek.

"I'm your big brother and I have been looking forwards to this day for a while now," Draco said as he spoke to Rosalie, "mother was right. Your hair is golden like the sun and I can't wait to see it shine as you grow up. I am going to teach you so many things and, one day, you will be here at Hogwarts as well," he smiled as he looked at his sister asleep in his arms.

Narcissa just watched as Draco began to bond with Rosalie and she hoped that the baby would open her eyes and see her brother but she also knew that that may not happen.

"Has Grandfather Cygnus met her yet?" Draco asked as he tore his eyes away from his sister.

"He's in France now as your grandmother has decided to cause chaos and has somehow found out that we have Rosa now and was intent on ruining it," Lucius said, "he will meet her upon his return and then Helene and Malcolm, James and Caitriona will and possibly Astoria will meet her if she's home as well."

"She's 9… almost 10 father. I'm sure she will be home and Daphne says that Astoria loves babies so expect a hard time getting Rosa back from her once she's met her," Draco said before looking back down at his sister, how long do we have before the world knows about her?"

"A while yet. Severus has to meet her and he's the last one to meet her but we need to wait until he's finished working on whatever he's working on," Narcissa said, "but we will be coming here at the weekends and if you wish we might be able to get you home for the weekend and you can spend some time with your sister," she said softly.

Draco's eyes lit up as he looked at his mother,

"I would love that if you can. I want to see my sister! I'll miss so much else," he said, "I'd hate to miss out on so much of her life because I'm at school. I want to know everything!"

Narcissa chuckled as she looked at her son and Draco looked at her and he could see the darkness had lifted from his mother and he smiled as he cuddled his sister close. He smiled and stroked her cheek softly, curling up with her in the chair and sang softly to her.

Lucius just pulled Narcissa away and the two headed to find Dumbledore so they could try and figure out a plan to get Draco home or them to Hogwarts at the weekend so Draco could spend time with his sister.

Draco smiled as he looked down at his sister and smiled softly and sang the same song that his mother had sung to him as a baby and child. He couldn't believe Rosalie was here and he would do whatever he needed to keep her safe. He was an older brother and he was going to take it seriously.
