Hi everybody!

I waited to publish the new chapter for the last anime episode of that part, which events I'm currently following, but now that the last part is confirmed for Jenuary 2022 I decided to start follow the manga because I can't really wait so much time to finish the fanfiction.

I'll add a manga spoiler warning for when I'll come to that part, anyway.

I also really want to thank you, you don't know how much I love you.

Thank you reading, for saving my story and for following it, I know it's pretty long but I aprreciate all the patience you have for my updates and for reading.

I may be repetitive but thank you.

When I grow up I want to be carefree.

Levi's hands went down her sides, caressing her back with particular delicacy, so contrasting with the rhythm of his thrusts that, instead, were slowly leading her to ecstasy.

With his teeth he left a mark on her shoulder, feeling her arch under him in search of a foothold she would not find. Elizabeth's hands were tied to the keyboard of the bed and he had taken the liberty of caressing and exploring her as if it were the first time, always with the same enthusiasm as hers, but with a different light in his eyes. If, at first, he wanted to know her and he still didn't know what to do, now he knew perfectly well and he also knew which buttons to press to hear her moan his name.

But not at that moment. That was their personal game and she wasn't allowed to call him by name.

"Le-" she whispered, her voice broken with pleasure and her legs shaking. He had brought her close to orgasm four times, then pulling back each time, grinning with satisfaction.

That man was a demon; pure temptation designed to lead to damnation.

She didn't finish her sentence, remembering the slight threat her husband had made to her about half an hour before.

"Now I'm just 'Captain' for you. If you call me by name I will stop just as you are about to come."

And in the end he kept his promise. She had thought of underestimating that game but the truth was that she liked it too, she loved the way he managed to push her to her limit every time, despite having done it so many times. With them it did not seem to matter, indeed the experience had only brought more pleasure between them and the eroticism skyrocketed whenever they were alone.

Levi slowed down, touching her right on the most sensitive point of her and stopping there, halfway between the inside and the outside, without moving anymore. He languidly kissed her neck, licking the spot she liked most, until he heard her moan once more.

"I don't understand." he murmured with his teeth on her skin, before leaving his own mark on it. In a couple of days it would be off and he no longer had to worry about getting them in hidden places on her body, at least for now.

He usually left some hickeys under the collarbones or over the curve of the breast, so that the shirt or t-shirt covered them and no one saw them.

Elizabeth involuntarily tugged at her wrists, clawing at the fabric of the tie with her nails at Levi's sudden stop. Her Captain began to leave a trail of hot kisses on her neck, then rising up her jaw and resting on her cheek before bringing his face to the same height as hers.

"So?"

Elizabeth was out of breath and clouded-minded. His gray eyes stared at her with equal desire, almost as if begging her to call him that way so he could push again. But she had always been stubborn and that hadn't changed.

"Please." she whispered, then closing her eyes to hold back another moan as he went up with his hands to caress her whole body, pausing a few more moments on her breast, before reaching her hands. He didn't untie her but forced her to let go the fabric, crossing his fingers with hers.

"Just say a simple word." he whispered lowering his face until their lips came close, with the warm breaths mingling. "Just one and I'll give you everything you want, my love."

"Untie me my Captain."

And, man, he was excited to hear her call him that. It was such a simple word but it had the power to get him high, ever since he had taken her on her team. In a way, upgrading her had brought some benefit to his hormones, because she had stopped calling him Captain in public. But that didn't have to mean she had to stop doing it behind closed doors.

Levi completely lost control, pushing himself all the way back into her and making her scream. With his hands, after separating them from hers, he untied the knot he had made, with a decidedly exhausting slowness for her.

Elizabeth tried to lift her hips, urging him to move, but he stayed still until her wrists were free of the cloth, yet still not allowing her to move her arms as she pleased, a kind of punishment for calling him by name so many times. The Captain intertwined their fingers once more, keeping her hands still in the same position as before, but resuming pushing with more and more enthusiasm, feeling her contract around him and squeeze him as she approached her orgasm.

"Yes..." she moaned in her ear, lifting her pelvis to accommodate his thrusts getting stronger. The keyboard of the bed was starting to hit the wall again, but somehow the noise excited her even more. "Stronger Captain."

Levi increased his grip on her hands and then a little more the rhythm of his thrusts, making her come with a disjointed cry before joining her shortly after.

"I bet the guys are wondering what happened to us." Elizabeth murmured curled up against Levi's bare chest.

"And not just them actually. Probably all this will only have served to give those idiots a chance to make other guesses."

The Captain's hand gently stroked her head, rocking her under the sound of the rain. It had been raining since that same afternoon and it still was not going to stop.

He was in the garden of the house, sitting on a stool enjoying the tranquility of that place for a few moments and thinking about how everyone else was doing. His mind began to wander towards the amount of work he had left behind and had been standing still for nine days now, but Elizabeth's hands on his shoulders made him wake. And the rain had come with her suddenly, almost as if she had called him for that very reason. Elizabeth hugged him from behind her, resting her head on his shoulder and giving him a little kiss on his neck, while Levi smiled quietly and was hit, along with her, by the first drops.

Those few drops were just a warning because a few moments later they found themselves under a real rain that immediately soaked their clothes. Levi held her firmly on his shoulders, standing up and carrying her with him, who promptly went to tie her legs around his waist to help him in his movement. And, with the excuse of wet clothes, they soon found themselves rolling between the sheets again.

"It's not like they're all wrong in the end." she giggled, snuggling better in her husband's arms and closing her eyes to better hear the sound of the rain.

"But they don't have to know, at least for now." he answered, slightly tightening the grip on her shoulders. "As much as I hate having to hide it."

"I know, but at the moment it's for the best. And then this is enough for me. You are enough for me."

Levi felt a strong heat in his chest. Of all the fuss he hated, when she was the one to tell him something sweet he still felt like the first time, each time with the same happiness.

"Six more days." he commented, referring to the maximum time they had allowed themselves to quietly live their days as a married couple. Erwin had suggested that they take an entire month but it was best avoided, both for all the rumors that could run about them and for the work they had to do. They remained at the head of the elite team of the Survey Corps and Hange already had her job to do to take care of theirs too.

Elizabeth did not answer but she reached out her left hand where a golden ring stood out on her ring finger, to take Levi's left hand, with the same ring on the same finger as hers. He had gotten into the habit of rubbing her wedding ring with his fingers when he held her hand, especially after making love, almost as if it were something priceless or necessary. He felt the need to feel that little piece of metal under his fingers, knowing that they would then have to remove it and keep it hidden.

He had initially thought it would be tragic for her or that she would be upset enough to react in some particular way, but she had surprised him by smiling at him, giving him a quick kiss on the lips and then taking two sturdy threads that would then be tied around the wrist. The fact that no one was supposed to know about their relationship didn't mean they should have avoided bearing the wedding rings, in her point of view. It was enough to hide them under the sleeve of the shirt and they would always remain with them, at least until the day they no longer had to hide it.

But that evening it was her who made that gesture, running the fingertips of her thumb and forefinger over the ring before intertwining their fingers.

Levi woke up calmly, somewhat thirsty, but his senses immediately recovered when he found that the bed was empty next to him. Elizabeth wasn't there.

He found her downstairs, sitting on the inner sill of a closed window watching the rain that had still been falling for a few days. She seemed to seek the consent of the blonde, starting shortly after sunset, for three days now.

"Can't sleep?" he asked, approaching her cautiously while she sipped hot tea.

Elizabeth turned in the direction of her husband's voice as he approached her in concern. In response she smiled at him, nodding quietly.

She didn't seem particularly troubled in Levi's eyes but there was still something she obviously wanted to tell him.

"Not much. I was thinking." she answered handing the still steaming cup to Levi so that he too could drink some. He gladly accepted, taking the cup with one hand in his particular way and then handing the free one to her wife to help her up.

"About what?" he asked, going to sit in the armchair and taking Elizabeth with him, who immediately went to sit on his lap.

She had put on his clothes again, this time his T-shirt, and as strange as it was above her, he loved seeing her in his own things, it made him feel even more part of her. And it aroused him, but it was not the time to indulge in his desire, not with her troubled.

She ran her hand over his bare chest; he had only put on his pants to get off the bed, leaving the rest of him in plain sight, and she saw him shiver at the touch of her fingertips.

"I like this life. That's what I told you about that day: that's how I imagine our life together without the titans."

"Having a lot of sex?"

Elizabeth laughed at him by resting her head in the hollow of his neck and waiting for him to finish his tea before kissing his throat.

"As if you minded. And then this part is not very different from the usual... but yes, this too."

"I know what you mean: live quietly without having to be a soldier and fear for the safety of the other."

"Yeah... Am I a selfish person if I admit that I've thought about giving up everything and staying here?"

Levi smiled as he heard her utter that phrase. Those days with her, in that house, alone, had been the most beautiful days in his life. He had finally felt like a complete man, he felt that this was the life he wanted, with her; only that tea shop was missing to realize that reality that he repeatedly found himself imagining the night before falling asleep. Just thinking about it made his heart beat faster.

"No, you are not. I would like to do the same thing. But I can ask Erwin to come back here when we have another calm period. And when, one day, we get rid of the titans this will become our everyday life."

"Aren't you going to get bored?" she teased him a little, remembering when he had said something similar to Mike long ago. She would have liked to have him too at their wedding, he had been one of the first to support their relationship and had never said a word to anyone, keeping the secret until his death. Unfortunately, literally.

"With you? As if it were possible, you are an hurricane." he answered, craning his neck to kiss her slowly on her lips. She responded immediately by putting her hands on his neck, stroking him with her thumbs.

"But you like this hurricane."

"That's the trouble. I fell in love with her and even married her."

"Welcome back!"

After exactly fifteen days, the Captain of the Special Squad of the Survey Corps and his Vice had returned to the barracks, greeted by a particularly mischievous Hange and a smiling Erwin. The two had headed to the Commander's office under the pretense of having to report, but in reality it was just an excuse. Except that there were only four of them to know.

Hange was sitting at the desk just in front of him when the two entered.

"Levi, Elizabeth. Did you have fun?" Erwin asked cordially, putting their roles aside for a few moments. Eventually those people became important to him and he cared about them.

"Yes." Levi replied, impassive as he usually did as he sat in the only free chair next to Hange. The team leader did not bother to get up to leave the chair for Elizabeth, also considering that she did not even have time since a few moments later she went to sit on her husband's lap.

"So... you read the note, right?" Hange asked, getting a curious look from Erwin and a more annoyed look from Levi, who rolled his eyes. Elizabeth just giggled.

In fact, a note had been hung on the bedroom door that they had only found the following afternoon, too busy to notice before.

"Hey there! Considering the cleanliness of our shorty here I thought it would be better for you to find everything clean so you can enjoy your wedding night properly. He would have been able to get you cleaned up otherwise... Enjoy!

See you soon. Hange."

Short and concise but extremely direct just the way they liked it.

"Yes. And I really have to thank you. You were right you know, he would have been able to make me clean everything." the Vice Captain answered passing a hand on Levi's shoulder until it touched the back of his neck and earned a dirty look.

"I wouldn't have undressed in the dirt." he answered simply.

"Is there a corner of the house you didn't have sex on?" Hange asked, precisely in reference to the Captain's sentence. Levi watched her closely as Elizabeth seemed to be really thinking about it and Erwin laughed at it behind his folded hands in front of his mouth. That bastard was amused, but after what he had done for them Levi decided to give it to him without replies.

"An armchair, if I'm not mistaken."

"We can still do it." Levi then added, maliciously lifting the corner of his wife's mouth, but without making her blush. That remained one of his favorite things: she never got embarrassed.

"What have we missed?" then asked Elizabeth smiling again at Erwin.

The commander, now included directly in the conversation, pushed his hands away and sat up better against the back of his chair.

"Nothing special. Historia is trying to figure out if she likes to be queen or not and Hange has tortured Eren a bit."

"So, nothing different."

At Elizabeth's reply Erwin's face changed. They didn't have too much time to waste and even if he would give them more, they were now there and had to start working again for the reconquest of the Wall Maria.

"But I would like to discuss some moves with you. I know you just got back but we have to get back to work."

Yet Elizabeth's smile did not fade in the slightest, fully understanding as she felt Levi's hand gently running over her back.

"We are here for this."

And they remained in that office talking for three hours, fortunately without interruption but still without completely getting over everything. Erwin had some interesting cards on the table for Elizabeth and she was eager to start playing. She was ready to reprise her role and work to the best of her ability, even more motivated than before.

At the end of that first meeting it was now time for dinner, which would be held in the common room.

Elizabeth took a few steps forward with Hange, taking a seat where Moblit and other superiors were waiting for them holding their places, while Levi had stayed behind, called back by a young and trembling soldier who asked for information, too. When he answered the guy, Levi entered the hall, finding himself in the direction of two other soldiers, who unfortunately for them were speaking too loudly not to be heard by him.

"Of course Captain Levi is really lucky..." murmured a slimmer one with thick reddish hair.

His friend, with curly black hair, turned his gaze to the table where the woman in question was already sitting chatting with Moblit.

"Yeah. Two weeks on a mission alone with Elizabeth."

"In fact, there are very few beautiful women like her. What would I give for a night with her..."

"As if you could do it." he laughed the raven, giving a light push to his friend.

The red shook his head dreamily, only increasing the anger in the Captain.

"And she is also his Vice, I would like to spend with her all the time they spend together."

"To work or to do something else?"

It wasn't the first time he'd heard such phrases about her, they were saying similar things to her all the time but that didn't mean it had to be okay. Many times he found himself clenching his fists under the table, grinding his teeth to restrain himself from the desire to react, feeling his hands itch with the desire to beat anyone who dared to talk about her in that way, as if she were just an object.

And they had found themselves saying similar things not only in the wrong place but also at the wrong time, because that woman had recently become his wife and he had promised -again- that he would always protect her from anything, that whether it was a titan or a person in the throes of hormonal crises.

"I don't understand how Levi can resist her. All day with her... I would have gone mad with wanting her."

"In fact ... I would like to do it even now."

The raven's words were enough to make him lose patience as his stomach twisted with rage. He advanced completely, taking advantage of the fact that the two were standing, and smashed their heads against each other.

"You are soldiers, not kids in the throes of an hormonal crisis. And Elizabeth is also your superior and, as such and as a woman, you must show her the respect she deserves." Levi exclaimed with such seriousness that the two young men were instantly frightened. His impassive gaze had been replaced by a somewhat furious one and the two saw their life pass before their eyes in fear. If the titans were scary, Captain Levi was terrifying when angry.

"Yes sir."

"Where do you think you're going?" he murmured when he saw them turn to walk away with their heads down. But they weren't going to get away that easily. "My office."

Elizabeth smiled as she heard the door to the roof behind her open and then close. She didn't need to turn around to find out who it was, nor to wonder how he knew she was there. Somehow he always knew where she was, as if he could sense her.

After dinner, while Levi was going to his office with the two soldiers who had had the unhealthy idea of commenting in his presence, she had changed plans and, instead of taking refuge in her office to begin examining the first documents Erwin had given her, she had preferred to go up there. Just opening the door had brought back beautiful memories, some nostalgic, some sweet and others painful, but all in her mind and each with a special place in her heart. She had remembered when, three years ago, she was about to kiss Levi in that very same spot.

How many things had changed since that day. She felt different at first, but at the same time, somehow she still felt the same scared but determined girl to wanted to survive. She first did it to keep the promise made to her brother; now she did it because she had a purpose. She had found something to live for and someone to share that life with.

The evening air was slightly pungent enough to make her slightly shiver as she was wearing only a plain T-shirt and she had left her uniform jacket in her room. The moonlight was even brighter and a few stars kept it company trying to be just as bright.

Levi slowly approached her, going to sit next to her and letting his legs fall along the ledge of the roof, keeping one folded over it to rest his elbow on top of it.

"You were jealous." she smiled after a moment in silence. He sat down without saying anything, smiling at her with the same look. It must have brought back many memories to him too.

And in fact it was. He didn't know why but, as soon as he was done with the two, he felt the urge to go back to the roof. Maybe it was the marriage, some sort of consolidation of what had begun at that very point, or maybe it was just the desire to enjoy one last evening in peace before resuming their work. He didn't know but he didn't care, he just cared about being there with her.

"No." he answered directly but calmly. Elizabeth smiled even more at him, amused by his response and by the situation in general, because even if he hadn't admitted it, she understood. And this was one thing he usually loved about her but now it bothered him, he couldn't hide even such an embarrassing thing from her.

"Yes you are."

"You are mine now. Nobody has the right to make compliments about you anymore." he answered even more decisive but less calm, with a particular twinkle in his eye. He too had decided to abandon his uniform jacket and was left with only the gray shirt on which, with the moonlight shining on him, made him almost ethereal. His black hair shone, revealing those clear reflections that the light gave it and his eyes seemed even deeper. But those eyes saw nothing but her.

"Yes, but they don't know." she murmured without stopping smiling but less amused. This detail displeased her, she did not want to hide it because she knew there was nothing to be ashamed of, but at the same time she also understood that, at least at that moment, it was not something to be taken so lightly. There were too many problems in between to add even making their relationship public and then dealing with the consequences. Because the fact that Erwin accepted did not mean that the others would accept too.

That Zackly would accept too...

"It is not my problem."

"You are so sexy when you are jealous." she added, starting to smile again but looking intently at Levi in his eyes and taking on a much more mischievous shade in her gaze.

And he loved it when she did that.

She provoked him constantly, sometimes she joked with veiled double meanings even in front of everyone else, but there were things of those lines that only he could understand and loved to do. He loved to see how she, of all the men she talked to for one reason or another, had a different way of dealing with him; she was passionate, sweet, and capable of driving him mad without even making an effort. And he had to admit he had missed being up there with her. He still remembered well the frustration he felt when he thought he didn't deserve her and he didn't have to love her. Never more foolish thoughts had crowded his mind.

"We haven't been up here in a long time." he murmured then smiling when he saw her put her head on his shoulder and come a little closer. He wrapped her in his embrace, gently stroking her side with his thumb.

"Yeah. Since we first kissed. Sometimes I miss this tranquility. Yes, we fought but everything was easier." she said looking at an indefinite point in front of her, before glancing at the Captain sideways. "Even though I was in love with my Captain and couldn't tell him."

"You must be satisfied then since you made him fall in love with you." Levi replied with a smile, squeezing her a little tighter and following her gaze. "You made me damn a lot, you know?"

Elizabeth lifted her head studying him with her eyes for a few seconds before turning up her face and shaking her head in amusement.

"I can't imagine you pining with love for me."

"Maybe not the way you think." he answered. That conversation was strangely stimulating for him, and funny too, because she knew perfectly well when he had already loved her then and what his problems were with her. In fact, it was her who had come to him that night. But it was evident that she was looking for other information. One that he had managed to deny her for three years.

"And how?" she asked mischievously, raising an eyebrow eloquently. How much he would have liked to bite her lip to take that grin off her face, but it would only mean giving her the win.

"Working to not think about it."

"And..." she added even more convinced, urging him to admit at least once that he had touched himself thinking of her. She knew it was like that but she wanted to hear him say it.

"I will never tell you." Levi answered, now aware of where she was going. "You can ask it as many times as you want, you won't get an answer."

"Oh come on, I'm your wife."

Levi grinned in response to hear her call herself 'his wife' and brought his face close to hers enough to feel her breath on his skin and the tips of their noses brushing. The desire to kiss her was immense but he liked that game.

Sure, he didn't know it was over before it even started... or rather, he knew it but he loved playing with her too much to let it go.

"You are my wife but I will never admit it."

"You just did it." she concluded satisfied. Levi had betrayed himself using that term and she knew it, he had granted it to her and made her win. Now it was up to her to make him win.

Without giving him time to reply, she lifted her chin just enough to bring their lips together and kiss him, fully savoring his flavor.
