I never had a social life and my parents were out of the picture. Yeah, the thing that got to me the most out of the whole "get pulled into a fandom" cliche is the fact that I am now a corgi of all things. This is gonna be fun said nobody, ever. When an antisocial girl is thrown into a new world and a new body, she has to choose to pull herself together and start fresh. As a dog.

44. What Day Is It?

The night was cold, almost uncomfortable in the eerie silence. I rolled over, trying my damnedest to just go back to being unconcious. Needless to say it didn't work. My eyes met the usual forest-at-two-am scene, all dark shadows and blurry shapes. I patted around the ground for the crystal shard, not finding it amongst the grass and dirt.

Bzzzt... Bzzzt... Bzzzt...My ears perked up, head immediately whipping around to locate the sound. A solid three or so feet away from me was the shard, vibrating and glowing palely intermittently.

That was weird, right?

I crawled over and grabbed the thing before it vibrated so far it crossed the whole damn clearing. I rubbed my face with my free hand, supressing a yawn. I squeezed the thing, trying to get it to stop making so much noise, when sure enough it stopped vibrating and the crackling sound of a gramaphone was heard. It sounded like someone was moving something mechanical, until behind the white noise there was a tiny click! Drums and violins suddenly replaced all other sound, not like there was any to begin with. I felt my stomach drop.

"Pe...r... Pep... P..per... Pepper... Pepper!"

I shot up with a jolt. B.B. had been shaking me, as evident by his hands still on my arm and shoulder.

"Guhh, i'm... Up." I slurred, pulling a bit of drool back into my mouth.

"About time!" He joked, standing and letting me go. "Any longer and we would've left you here."

"You wouldn't." I feigned scandal.

"Come on, let's get some food before we leave..." B.B. stopped in his tracks. "Hey, what were you dreaming about? You were... Humming in your sleep." I blinked dizzily as I pulled myself up off the ground.

"Uhh... Was I? I... Can't remember a thing." I held a hand to my head as I stretched the sleep out. The zippleback shook a head and shrugged, waving me off.

"Must not be important then."

"Must not be."
