Alrighty! Guess It's time for Mina's chapter!

Mina woke up with a feeling of nervousness. Today was her first day back. Did anybody know about her? Why she was gone? Did Aizawa tell everybody in the class, or just everybody who asked?
Mina shook her head. She had prepared. She hadn't learned a lot of sign language, but enough to get by. Any words she didn't know yet she could write or spell. Maybe she could talk to Koda…
Mina stood up and made her way to her closet, where she picked out her uniform and got changed. She began thinking of what might happen…

Hatsume tinkered away in the workshop. She had pulled three consecutive all nighters making gadgets. It was her 'Coping mechanism' for her 'betrayal'.
In reality, Hatsume was still loyal to Izuka. Only Izuka. Nobody but Izuka. She made hero costumes and gadgets… yes. But she also fed her partner information.
Anything that the heroes could try, Hatsume could warn Izuka about. The entire school was bugged, and nobody knew. Not even Nezu.
The terrifying thing about Izuka and Hatsume, was that they were smarter than the principal.
With one last click of a computer mouse, the final gadget that Hatsume had wanted to make was done. It was a modified version of Izuka's monocle. Pink and black, it was designed for one person. Mina Ashido.
The design would take anything that anybody said and turn it into a sentence for Mina to read. Hatsume had spent a while working with the dimensions and the visual coding. She could have Izuka make an AI… but the school would catch on pretty quickly.
Hatsume looked up at the clock. Seven thirty. She could sleep for a little bit, and then give the monocle to Mina.
The inventress did just that.

Mina walked into the classroom. It was quiet. Of course it was. Everybody looked happy to see her. Everybody except Bakugo and Kirishima.
Mina ignored their looks and sat down. A few people immediately tried talking to her. She could see their lips moving, but there was no sound.
A tear rolled down Mina's cheek. Everybody immediately stopped talking. Koda turned to her and signed something.
-Are you okay?-
Mina looked at him and wiped her face off, before signing back.
-Keep it a secret please. For now… I can't hear.-
Koda's eyes went wide. Tsuyu asked him something, probably "What did she say?" But Koda shook his head and turned back around.
Everybody continued trying to talk to her. Mina couldn't give them any response. She didn't know what response to give. Except one.
"I'm okay guys… We should really get ready for class, okay?"
Everybody nodded and filed into their seats as Aizawa walked in. The tired teacher looked at Mina. He obviously said something, but Mina couldn't hear.
'Probably just glad to have you back Mina… why didn't he tell anybody?'
So class that day went on. Nobody knew about Mina being Deaf. They didn't understand why their teachers were writing more on the board than usual.
If Mina was glad about one thing, it was english class. She didn't have to deal with Present Mic's quirk. And so it came down to Hero Basic Training.
Aizawa directed the class to go and change. Everybody stood up except Mina, who was still writing in her notebook.
"Hey Mina, come on!" Ochaco said. Aizawa shook his head.
"She'll catch up. Don't worry."
The students nodded and filed out of the classroom. Mina looked up at Aizawa with rage sparking in her eyes.
"Why didn't you tell them?"
Aizawa scribbled on the board.
-I can't have a civil war break out in my class.-
Mina stood up and stormed out of the classroom. "Fuck you."

The hero course stepped into Cementoss's gym. The hero had created several benches, and a raised fighting area.
"Today we're having two on one battles against the big three. The first group, Tsuyu Asui and Fumiyo Tokoyami."
The battles began. Nejire, Mirio, and Tamaki destroyed every team easily. Then it was time for the last fight.
"Mina Ashido and Katsuki Bakugo."
Cementoss pointed at both students and then at the stage. Mina glared at Bakugo, but walked to the stage nonetheless. Bakugo knew of Mina's disability. Aizawa had told him about it.
'I'll make sure to help her win…'
The two students stood on the stage. Mirio Togata popped up in his hero costume. "I'll be your opponent!"
Bakugo nodded. Mina crossed her arms.
"Ready?" Cementoss looked at the fighters. "Begin!"
Mirio disappeared into the ground. Mina took on a wide stance. She could tell he was aimed at her. As Mirio appeared, Bakugo tackled Mina out of the way.
"WHAT THE HELL?"
Bakugo jumped back and attacked Mirio. Mina was seething. The permeation user fought against All Mights successor joyfully. Any explosion passed right through him. Any punch didn't affect him.
Bakugo attempted to hit Mirio with black whip, but the blonde third year was unaffected by that too.
"Come on! Fight me!" Bakugo growled.
"If you insist! BLINDER TOUCH EYEBALL CRUSH!"
Mirio threw his hand at Bakugo's face. The blonde bomber brought his hands up and shielded his eyes. Mirio passed through Bakugo with his right hand, and delivered a crushing left hook to his stomach. Bakugo was sent flying out of the ring.
"Bakugo is unable to fight! Mina must continue without him!" Cementoss stated.
Aizawa tapped the man on the shoulder. "Call the match."
"What?"
"Call the match. She can't fight him alone."
Cementoss narrowed his eyes, but called the match. Mina stared at her teachers.
'That mother f-'
"Why?" Mina shouted at the teachers.
"You are unable to fight." Aizawa said.
"WHAT WAS THAT?" Mina snarled. "I CAN'T HEAR YOU!"
Aizawa frowned. "Mina-"
"No Mr. Aizawa. I will continue. I'm the one who decides when I can and cannot fight."
Cementoss smiled at Mina for standing up for herself. "Very well. Carry on."
"Cementoss!"
The hero turned to Aizawa. "Let her fight Shota."
"SHE'LL GET HURT! SHE CAN'T BALANCE PROPERLY OR HEAR WITH WHAT BAKUGO DID TO HER EARS!"
The class only got the gist of what he was saying. Mina had been deaf since the provisional licensing exams. They had no idea. And she was fighting one of the big three alone.
"Will she be okay?" Momo wondered aloud.
"I don't understand… If she's deaf, why continue with the hero course? She'll only get hurt."
"She can do it." Ochaco said. Todoroki nodded.
"She'd be a liability…" Sero said.
Mina could see them chittering. They didn't believe in her.
'Well then… glad to know that my friends support me…'
Mirio gave an odd look, but readied himself anyways. Cementoss brought his hand down and the fight resumed.
Mirio dove underground. Mina closed her eyes.
'I can't see him anyways… but I can sense him if I focus…'
Mirio began rising out of the ground behind her. Mina whipped around and performed an axe kick that cracked the cement stage. Mirio ducked back underground.
'Izuka fought all three of them at once. Their weaknesses were exposed. With Mirio, he needs to stay focused and keep total control over his quirk. He can't breathe when he permeates… gotta put all this information to use.'
Mirio rose up completely and threw a punch. Mina coated herself in acid and faked blocking the strike. Mirio took the bait and permeated his arm through her defense.
Mina smiled and raised her foot as he punched. As soon as his fist began going through her arm, she stomped. Mirio's foot was dislocated by the power of her leg.
"OUCH!" Mirio leapt back.
The class was staring wide eyed at the battle. Nobody had gotten this close to beating one of the three so far.
With his mobility reduced, Mirio rushed at Mina slower. She took the opportunity to skate away to the edge of the arena. Her back turned outwards. Mirio wouldn't be able to launch a surprise attack.
"Your quirk is incredible, and your fighting style relies on the element of surprise, Hitting people from behind. Popping up in unexpected places. But it also takes a lot of focus to control." Mina created a glob of high viscosity acid in her palm and hurled it at Mirio. He permeated through it, but winced as he went back to normal.
"With a dislocated foot, your mobility is halved…"
Mirio grinned and said something she couldn't hear, before grabbing his foot and twisting it back into place. Mina smirked. "Eh. Should have expected it. Heroes have a high pain tolerance.
Mirio rushed at Mina, who dove forward as he appeared in front of her. He didn't see her move, she just looked like she disappeared.
"Where-"
Mina delivered a kick and sent Mirio out of bounds. The students were shocked. Aizawa was white in the face. Cementoss was applauding Mina.
"There. I beat you." Mina said, before hopping off of the stage. "Am I done now?"
Some of the students rushed towards the girl and started saying stuff to her, forgetting that she was deaf. Mina shoved all of them aside and walked away.
As she neared the exit, she felt a hand on her shoulder. It was Momo.
"Mina. Where are you-"
"Whatever you're saying, I can't hear it, nor do I want to. I saw Aizawa scream that I'm deaf now. You all doubted me." Mina pushed the hand off of her. "You only want to talk to me because I beat Mirio."
Mina walked out, leaving most of class 1-A dumbfounded.
"What will happen now Mr Aizawa?" Tsuyu asked.
"It's up to her. She did just show that she can be a great hero…"

Mina walked into the locker room with a huff. She quickly began changing out of her gym clothes. Halfway through, she sat down as she felt a spike of pain travel through her head.
'Greaaaat… headaches…'
Mina felt a blast of air as the door opened. The rest of the 1-A girls walked in and began changing. Mina quickly buttoned up her uniform and walked out.
As a wrap up for class, the students each described what the groups did wrong. When it came to Mina and Bakugo, Mina was enraged at the fact that people nitpicked her fighting!
'I BEAT HIM!'
Mina grit her teeth as Aizawa wrote down yet another tip of what she could do better.
After all the hands were down. Aizawa called on people to review the tips they had been given. Finally, it was Minas turn. She walked up to the front of the class.
"So. I'm supposed to review these pointers… they're all pointless and fuck all of you." The class frowned. Mina continued. "Let's start with this one. 'I should have let Bakugo handle it…' For one thing, I did, and he lost. Another, If I ever have the option to leave anything to Bakugo, I won't. Next."
The class was getting a little upset with Mina at this point. She continued. "Should try listening for Bakugo's calls. Haha, very funny. Whoever said this is an asshole. Next. 'Move fluidly around attacks, Try not to focus too much on a single point.' Mineta, I know that this is you. Considering that you were gunning for Nejire's ass until she punted you out of bounds, you can shut up. Not like you'd be able to fuck her anyways."
Mineta shouted something at Mina and leapt out of his seat at her chest. Mina caught him by the neck and brought him up to her face. "Can't hear you bitch. Choose what you do next carefully."
Minetas lips touched hers. Mina threw him at his desk so hard that it broke. She found herself wrapped in Aizawa's scarf. He was saying something to her. Probably 'calm down.'
"Let me go."
Aizawa tightened the scarf. Mina melted through it.
"I'm going back to the dorms. You're all a joke." Mina stormed out of the classroom. Aizawa shook his head as she left.
'Oh problem child…'

Mina stormed into Midnight's living space to find her shaking in a corner.
"Midnight? Are you okay?" Mina walked up and saw that the woman was having a panic attack. She sat down and hugged her closely. "Hey now… It's okay…"
"Mina?" Midnight looked at the pink girl.
Mina smiled at her. Midnight got up quickly and stumbled around to find a whiteboard.
"Here." Mina grabbed Midnight's hand and gave her a glass of water. "Drink."
Midnight looked at the pink girl and nodded, before taking a sip of water. Mina found the whiteboard and marker and gave it to the woman.
Midnight began writing.
-Don't you still have class?-
"Don't wanna be there."
-Why not?-
Mina bit her lip. "They're all assholes."
-You need to give them a chance-
"I did. I went into hero basic training. Aizawa paired me with Bakugo to fight Mirio. Once Bakugo was knocked out, he tried to call the match."
Midnight froze. -He did what?-
"Cementoss told him the match would continue. I beat Mirio alone. Also, it turns out Aizawa didn't tell the class until Cementoss continued the fight. I could see them doubting me."
Midnight said something. Mina waited for her to continue writing.
-What happened next?-
"We reviewed the battles. Everybody nitpicked my fight when they lost theirs. There were comments like 'I should listen to what Bakugo says.' a comment from mineta telling me that I shouldn't 'Focus on a single point' when he was trying to slap Nejire's ass the entire time."
-That kid is going to get expelled.-
"Eh. I told him he could try all he wants, he couldn't fuck her if he wanted to."
Midnight burst out laughing. Mina smiled at the woman. It had been a while since she had seen her actually laugh.
-What say you, we go get some ice cream?-
Mina smiled. "That would be great."

Kayama and Mina made their way off of the school grounds. Nezu gave them permission to go. Before they left, They ran into Hatsume who gave Mina a small box. Inside was an eyepiece that would help Mina 'Hear' people. They rode the train to Kiyashi Ward. When they got there, they quickly went to the mall.
"So. Does it work?" Midnight asked.
Letters rushed over Mina's eyepiece. She smiled. "Yeah! It works."
Midnight hugged Mina. The pink girl smiled and adjusted the device to fit her perfectly. "I won't be able to rely on it all the time though."
"Well of course not. It isn't built for fighting. We'll use it until you get the hang of sign language okay?" Midnight smiled.
Mina nodded. The two walked through the mall and found a place to get ice cream. They walked around the mall with their treat and finally settled by one of the fountains.
"So what's your favorite flavor?" Midnight asked.
"I like strawberry." Mina said. "But you can't beat cookie dough."
Midnight nodded. "Agreed."
The two sat for a while, eating their ice cream. A group of people walked up to them. "Excuse me? Are you the pro hero Midnight?"
Kayama looked up. "Who wants to know?"
A few people in the group laughed. Mina grit her teeth as she watched them pick on her teacher.
"The R-rated hero. Did it feel good?"
"I really wish I could have been there… but I do know somebody who was."
A chubby man with a bit of scruff walked up to the front of the group. "Hey… remember me?"
A person from the group walked over to Mina. "Are you okay? Did she hurt you?"
Mina tore her arm out of the person's grasp. "Get the fuck away."
The girl turned to her teacher but was grabbed by two men. "Watch it girl. Or we might do to you what's about to happen to her."
Midnight shook as the man detailed the events of the kamino attack. She shook as he reached forward and grabbed her chest.
Mina saw red.
"GET AWAY FROM MY FRIEND!"
Acid burned away the hands that held Mina. She ran forward and splashed high potency acid across the faces of Midnights assailants. The men screamed in pain. Mina picked up her teacher and ran out of the mall.

Mina sat outside of the nurse's office. Midnight was inside. Chiyo was talking to her, along with Hound Dog.
A man in a trench coat and bowler cap walked down the hall. He was flanked by four police officers. "Hello miss. Is Midnight in there?"
Mina didn't respond. She had taken her eyepiece off. She didn't even notice that people had arrived.
"Excuse me-"
The door opened. Chiyo walked out. "Tsukauchi. Midnight's in here."
The detective walked into the room. Chiyo tapped Mina on the shoulder.
-You should come in too- She signed.
Mina nodded and put on her eyepiece. The nurse guided the pink student into the room.
"Alright. That's everybody." Tsukauchi said, as the door was closed. "I'd like to hear what you have to say."
Midnight told Tsukauchi everything that happened. From Mina coming to her, all the way to Mina running away with her.
"I see… I offer my apologies Midnight. Clearly, the public hasn't been treating you as they should."
Mina bit her lip. 'NO FUCKING SHIT!'
"While I am glad that the two of you are okay, there will still be repercussions for what miss Ashido did. In the end, you mangled the hands of two men with illegal use of your quirk, and you blinded eight more. Not to mention, you caused permanent damage to one of the men closest to Midnight."
Mina bit her lip. 'Repercussions… of course there are repercussions…'
"Surely you can let it slide." Hound Dog said.
Tsukauchi shook his head. "We've been letting a lot slide with UA lately. Today, we have to take action."
"It was self defense."
"Tell that to the people who were blinded."
"OKAY SIR! I W-"
*Slam*
Everything went quiet as Mina slammed her hand on a tabletop.
"Mina?" Midnight looked at her student.
"It's going to be okay… Mr Tsukauchi… what would my sentence be?"
Tsukauchi looked at her. "Permanent expulsion from UA and a week in juvenile detention."
Mina bit her lip and nodded. Midnight shook her head. "No. No that's not fair. It's NOT FAIR!"
"Midnight-"
"NO! ALL OF YOU! NO! SHE WAS PROTECTING ME!"
"Midnight-"
"IF YOU'RE CHARGING HER, CHARGE ME TOO! YOU CAN'T-"
Midnight stopped as Mina took her hands. "It'll be okay, sensei… It'll be okay."
Midnight let the tears roll down her cheeks. "Mina… you can't go-"
Mina smiled. It was a sad smile. But it was a smile that still stunned everybody. "Nemuri-chan… I've done enough running. I'm deaf…" Mina took off her eyepiece and threw it away. "I hurt some people… I can't run away. Running away is what destroyed All Might, what will eventually lead to Bakugo's death… all of it. So I won't make that mistake."
"Mina-"
"Shh." Mina ran her hand over Nemuri's cheek. "Save your breath, you'll need it later for someone who can hear you."
Mina stood up and turned to Tsukauchi. "Take me away."
Tsukauchi cuffed Mina. "Mina Ashido. You are under arrest for the illegal use of a quirk and the injury of at least ten citizens. You have the right to remain silent, anything that you say can and will be used against you in a court of law."
Mina was taken out of the room and led down a hallway. The officers stopped as they heard a sound. Mina looked at where they were looking and saw Todoroki, Ochaco, Jiro, and Tsuyu.
They were obviously calling out to her. Mina just smiled at them. "Keep smiling guys."
And with that. Mina Ashido left UA, her hero Academia. Midnight wept in the nurse's office. Ochaco clenched a small piece of paper holding an address she had yet to go to.
And the rest of class 1-A wouldn't find out what happened to their classmate until weeks later.

Alright. Now, Mina has some struggles here. Obviously. There will be some emotions that happen. Once she joins the league, she'll be a bubbly person again! And this is perfect! I know exactly how to get both Midnight and Mina into the league.
