Chapter 67: Tech Gets Painted

Tech E. Coyote was just walking down the streets of Acmetropolis. There was nothing going on, so he was just on a walk. However, something would happen that would change the coyote's schedule. While walking, the Loonatic felt something wet on his shoulder. Before he knew it, two paint cans spilled all over him. This left him covered in black and white paint.

"Dammit, I have to go get cleaned!" Tech swore to himself.

"Sorry, Mr. Coyote!" A man who was using the paint said.

"You're fine!" The canine responded.

Before Tech could go somewhere and wash the paint off of his body, a cat came walking through. Her fur was black and white and her eyes were a dark blue shade. She was also wearing a red dress and dress shoes. The moment she saw Tech, the cat blushed and carefully approached him.

"Hello." She greeted.

"Can I help you?" Tech asked.

"You're handsome." The feline said.

"Thanks, I guess," the coyote said, "but why did you say that?"

"Because I like you." She stated, blushing.

"You seem like a nice lady yourself." He smiled.

"Want to hang out?"

"We can hang out."

The cat started to walk off. Tech followed her, as she was leading him to an unknown destination.

I hope that Rev doesn't mind.

Meanwhile, back at the Loonatics' HQ, Rev Runner was looking for something. While he was doing so, Lexi Bunny, another member of the team, walked up to him.

"What are you looking for, Rev?" Lexi asked.

"I'm-looking-for-Tech." Rev stated. "I've-been-meaning-to-ask-him-something-but-I-can't-find-him-anywhere."

"Tech went for a walk." The doe said. "He might still be in town."

"Oh-well-I'll-go-look-for-him." The avian said. "Don't-think-that-I'm-being-overprotective-of-him-what-with-us-being-together-and-all."

"It's okay to be concerned for someone, Rev." She said.

"I-know." He said before leaving.

Tech was actually having a good time with the cat, whose name turned out to be Priscilla Pussycat. The two walked to the park, where they saw people hanging out. However, Tech had told Priscilla not to touch him. He barely knew the feline, but he wouldn't want her to ruin her dress by touching him. After a few minutes, the two sat under a tree, resting their feet.

"This is fun, isn't it?" Priscilla asked.

"Yeah, nothing beats taking a walk on a calming day." Tech said.

Priscilla leaned towards Tech, her eyes half-closed.

"What is it?" Tech asked.

"I want to give you something." Priscilla stated.

"Well, go ahead." The coyote said.

Tech found himself getting kissed on the nose by Priscilla, blushing after receiving it.

"Uh, can I have a minute?" Tech asked.

"Sure." Priscilla said.

Without hesitation, Tech stepped away from Priscilla. He walked roughly seven feet away from her, wiping sweat from his brow. However, he didn't see a familiar red roadrunner approaching him.

"Tech?"

Looking around him, Tech saw Rev standing near him, having a puzzled expression on his face.

"Hi Rev." Tech greeted.

"Whoa! Tech-what-happened-to-you?" Rev asked.

"I got covered in paint." The coyote said.

"That-checks-out." The roadrunner said. "C'mon-let's get-you-cleaned-up."

"I can't right now, Rev."

"Why-not? Is-it-because-of-the-girl-over-there?"

"Priscilla? Yeah, I think that she's got a crush on me. Despite that, she's rather nice."

"What-if-she-gives-you-a-hug? Won't-the-paint-rub-off-of-you-and-smear-all-over-her-dress?"

"I warned her about that, so she hasn't touched me."

"Let's-just-hope-that-nothing-bad-happens-Mr-Emerald."

Before Tech could walk back to Priscilla, he felt something drip on his shoulder. Looking up, the coyote saw dark clouds in the sky. It had begun to rain, with the raindrops falling down like a river. Each raindrop that fell over Tech washed the paint on his body off. The paint was falling off of the coyote's body, with it forming a puddle underneath him.

"Well, I'm clean." Tech said.

Priscilla walked up to Tech, looking concerned.

"Tech, are you okay?" She asked.

"Yeah, I'm just clean." The coyote said.

"You don't have black-and-white fur?" The feline looked disappointed.

"No, I'm sorry if I upset you." He said.

"You haven't upset me." She said. "In fact, I like you. I've always been a fan of yours."

"I'm flattered, but I'm in a relationship."

"Really? With who?"

Rev walked up to Tech and Priscilla.

"Priscilla," Tech spoke, "this is my boyfriend, Rev."

"Hello-there-Priscilla-it's-nice-to-meet-you." Rev introduced himself.

"Nice to meet you, Rev." Priscilla looked down, having a look of sadness in her eyes.

"Don't be sad, there are plenty of fish in the sea." Tech said.

"But I don't know if I'll find anyone like you." The feline said.

"Oh-that's-nonsense!" Rev said. "You-just-need-to-find-the-right-person-so-that-you-can-get-to-know-him. If-you-like-him-you-can-hook-it-up-with-him-and-if-you-don't-like-him-you-can-ditch-him."

"Thanks Rev." Priscilla said.

"C'mon, let's go home." Tech said.

"Oh-I've-been-waiting-for-this-all-day!" Rev said before sharing a kiss with the coyote.

From that point on, Priscilla took Rev's advice to heart. She wound up getting together with a nice guy, who reciprocated her feelings for him. As for Tech and Rev, the two were hitting it off. The coyote and the roadrunner were getting ready to have their wedding. Before they planned the event, the two made sure to invite Priscilla and her boyfriend.
