Chapter 67: Duel on the Brink of Death! Fight, Black-Feather Dragon!

The last thing Crow had remembered was his loss. The ache of revenge was met with one of pain. Then he recalled what Warren had done to him.

Then Crow gasped as he remembered more. The visions were hazy but more and more came back to him as Crow focused on the memories.

/

It had been Kiryu and Crow, facing Officer Warren. A circle of purple fire burned around the three men.

Crow rose to Duel Warren a second time despite his injury and against Kiryu's wishes.

"I won't argue with you if you make this a Dark Signer's Duel – but let me try and stop him myself first!" Crow urged.

Kiryu nodded grimly. "Then – the second it's too much for you to handle - I'm stepping in." Kiryu said, focusing on Crow's injury, and thinking to Ccapac Apu for guidance.

"I see you consult me now that your friend is in danger."The God said in his head and Kiryu frowned.

"What do I need to do for you to help him?"

"Summon me in this Duel of Darkness. Let me feast. If I prolong his life – will you do this?"

Kiryu sighed. "Wait until we're in the City to go all out. However – if you are Summoned to this battlefield, I only ask that you withhold your hunger."

"Then – I will hold you to this feast in the City." Ccapac Apu stated.

Crow screamed as the pain in his back ignited for a moment before vanishing altogether. Then Crow realized that he couldn't feel much of anything after it passed.

"What happened? It's like I can't feel any more pain – or much at all." Crow remarked, standing up and taking some deep breaths.

"That's because you were so close to death." Kiryu said. "Due to that, Ccapac Apu could shut down your sense of pain. I bound up that injury the best I could. Just try not to move too much and you'll be fine."

"I want to Duel before Crow passes out. Are you two done talking yet?" Warren asked, looking confident despite the fact he was outnumbered.

"Fine. How's this? We'll share life-points but we will have separate fields. We'll alternate between each of your turns." Kiryu said as Crow nodded and Warren did the same.

Their Duel Disks were ready as they stood across from Warren.

TURN 1: KIRYU, CROW: 4000, WARREN: 4000

"I'll begin – and as such I won't attack." Kiryu stated, drawing for his turn.

I'll start with Infernity Guardian in Defense Mode!" Kiryu stated as his gigantic burning skull appeared (4/1400/1700).

"Then I'll set this." Kiryu said, a hidden card appearing on his field. He had four cards left in his hand.

TURN 2: KIRYU, CROW: 4000, WARREN: 4000

"Draw!" Warren yelled, pulling a sixth card from his Deck.

"I'll start with my spell card - Polymerization!" He said with a grin as his fusion card activated, the vortex appearing above his head.

"From my hand I'll unite Elemental HERO Heat with Elemental HERO Clayman!"

As Warren spoke the two Heroes leapt into the vortex and were broken down into their main colors.

"The land erupts in fire, heralding the burning crusader's arrival! Incinerate everything in your path - Elemental HERO Nova Master!"

As Warren finished speaking, the Hero in question landed, red and gold-orange armor shaped like the edges of flame (8/2600/2100).

"And now I'll summon this! Elemental HERO Sparkman!"

A blue thunderbolt struck the ground and a golden armored HERO emerged from the smoking crater where it crashed, rising from a crouch to stand proud (4/1600/1400).

"Battle! I attack your Infernity Guardian with Nova Master! Blazing Upper!"

The monster rushed at Kiryu's defender, bringing its' arm back for a burning uppercut and Kiryu extended his arm out.

"I counter with my Trap Card – Phantom Hand! I banish my entire hand until my next Standby Phase!" Kiryu said as the fist connected. The Shinigami Duelist' put his cards in his trenchcoat's breast pocket – and his monster was unharmed even as Nova Master followed through.

"While my hand is zero, Infernity Guardian can't be destroyed by battle or card effects." Kiryu explained as Warren's monster backed off.

"I see. Then as long as you have no hand, you have an invincible defense. Not bad. But you won't escape my justice - even with that. I'll set a card and end my turn!"

TURN 3:

KIRYU, CROW: 4000, WARREN: 4000

"I draw!" Crow yelled, pulling the top card from his deck.

"Nice! I'll begin with this! Blackfeather – Bora the Spear!" Crow yelled.

The man clad in bird imagery let out a grunt as it materialized in front of him (4/17000/800).

"And now since I control a Blackfeather monster, I'll Special Summon Blackfeather – Gale the Whirlwind!" Crow added, his next monster appearing with a coo (3/1300/400).

"I'll use Gale the Whirlwind's effect! Cut that Nova Master's attack and defense points down to size!" Crow yelled.

Gale's eyes widened as it flapped its small wings, two funnels of wind shooting out of them towards the fusion Hero.

"Not quite!" Warren rebuked. "Counter-trap! Paradox Fusion! I banish my Nova Master for two of my End Phases and negate that effect, destroying your monster!" Warren explained as Nova Master vanished. Then Gale and its winds shattered right afterwards.

Crow grunted but urged his remaining monster on.

"In that case I'll have Bora attack Sparkman!"

The lance blast tore the superhero apart, Warren grunting as he took minor damage (WARREN: 4000 → 3900).

Crow grinned. "First blood, Officer. Then I'll set this. That's all for now."

One face-down card appeared on Crow's field as the turn passed to Warren again. Crow was left holding three cards.

TURN 4: KIRYU: 4000, CROW: 4000, WARREN: 3600

Warren drew and his expression became a grin as he looked at his two cards.

"I'll set this card and end my turn.

TURN 5: KIRYU, CROW: 4000, WARREN: 3600

After Kiryu drew for his turn, Warren acted "Then – after your Draw Phase, I'll use my set card – A Hero Emerges - to summon the remaining monster from my hand! Appear – Elemental HERO Edgeman!"

The golden armored Hero appeared in a crouch and Crow tisked (7/2600/1800).

"I see." Kiryu said, glancing at his newest card.

"I'll just Summon Infernity Necromancer." He said as the bulky shaman appeared next to Infernity Guardian (3/0/2000).

"My Necromancer goes into Defense Mode when it is Normal Summoned." Kiryu clarified. "Then I'll use Phantom Hand again to banish the rest of my hand." Kiryu said with little expression as he placed the four cards inside of his coat again "Your move."

TURN 6: KIRYU, CROW: 4000, WARREN: 3600

"Draw!" Warren said, pulling the next card from his deck with a smirk. "I have no cards in my hand other than this one – so I can Special Summon it! Appear – Elemental HERO Bubbleman!" Warren stated with a grin as the blue and silver armored Hero appeared beside Edgeman (4/800/1200).

"Since I Special Summoned Bubbleman this way, I draw two cards from my deck!" Warren said.

"And one of which was this! The Field Spell Skyscraper!" he exclaimed as the backdrop of their Duel was suddenly replaced with gigantic holographic buildings, giving the the illusion of the City around the three.

"And the second is this! Elemental HERO Burst Lady!" Warren said, as his next monster appeared in a blast of fire, the woman igniting her fists into two balls of fire (3/1200/800).

"Now – Battle! Burst Lady – attack Bora the Spear with Burst Fire!"

"But she has less attack - !" Crow said with surprise.

"Not when Skyscraper is in play – my attacking HEROes with less attack gain one-thousand attack points!" Warren explained.

Burst Lady's eyes glowed as she slammed her hands together, creating a huge fireball with both (3/1200 → 2200/800).

Then the blast of fire tore through Crow's Blackfeather and he grunted, taking damage (KIRYU, CROW: 4000 → 3500).

"What a strong Field Spell!" Crow observed as his Bora the Spear was sent to the Graveyard.

"And next – Edgeman! Destroy Kiryu's Infernity Necromancer!" Warren commanded, the HERO slicing horizontally through the bulky shaman in a swift attack.

A visible slice could be seen across the Infernities' body, the top half sliding down slightly before the monster exploded (KIRYU, CROW: 3500 → 2900).

"That's my turn! Now show me if the remains of Team Satisfaction is worth facing seriously."

TURN 7: KIRYU, CROW: 2900, WARREN: 3900.

Kiryu drew a fifth card and gestured to Phantom Hand, the card banishing his hand once again.

"Coward! You're holding back, aren't you?" Warren asked. Kiryu closed his eyes.

"No. Rather – I am waiting to see if Crow is unable to continue this Duel. If that happens . . . "

Kiryu opened his eyes.

"If that happens, you're my prey." The Shinigami finished.

Warren's confident look tensed up for a moment as he felt the edge in Kiryu's voice.

"Your move."

TURN 8: KIRYU, CROW: 2900, WARREN: 3900

"Draw!" Warren exclaimed. "And now I'll use a second Polymerization! I merge Burst Lady and Bubbleman!"

The two Heroes flew into the fusion, light shining from the center of the vortex.

"Behold as the passionate soul and raging water merge to create a fist of ice! Freeze all evil! Appear – Elemental HERO Absolute Zero!"

The ice themed Fusion Monster appeared, white pure armor and knightly disposition immediately calling attention to it. The monster landed with a cry and Warren chuckled (8/2500/2000).

"You may hold back – but I can still chip away with you using Edgeman! Attack Infernity Guardian!"

The blades struck the skull and Kiryu took damage once again. He winced as his life-points decreased (KIRYU, CROW: 2900 → 2000).

"And now – It's my Second Endphase since I used Paradox Fusion – so I can welcome back my banished Nova Master!"

A wall of flames appeared, as the banished monster returned, walking through them before they vanished. Elemental HERO Nova Master reappeared to the right of Edgeman, the Effect monster standing between both the Fusion monsters (8/2600/2100).

"That's all for now. Kiryu seems to have hand trouble. Now, Crow – is that really the limit of your Blackfeather Deck?" Warren asked.

Crow snarled and reached for his Duel Disk.

TURN 9: KIRYU, CROW: 2000, WARREN: 3900

Crow drew – now holding five cards in his hand. "My deck doesn't have any limits! I'll show you right now!"

"I'll begin by playing this Spell Card – Rendering Tuning! With it I can Special Summon a Tuner Monster from my hand! Appear – Blackfeather – Mistral the Silver Shield!"

Crow's squat Blackfeather appeared in defense mode (2/0/1800).

"And now that I control a 'Blackfeather' monster, I can Normal Summon this without a Release! Blackfeather – Elphin the Raven!" Crow explained.

Crow yelled as his next monster appeared – a bulky bird-man with the same kind of costume that Bora wore (6/2200/1200).

"And now I'll tune them both together!"

"Darkened gales, reveal hidden wishes on your wings! Synchro Summon! Soar, Black-Feather Dragon!"

Crow chanted as his iconic dragon appeared with a roar. The toothed beak split open as Black-Feather Dragon gazed upon Warren's field with crimson eyes (8/2800/1600).

Kiryu winced as his Dark Signer Mark ignited from the Dragon's arrival. "Hmph. So even now that it's not a Signer Dragon, you still carry a grudge?" He asked the mark.

"Black-Feather Dragon! Put that Edgeman down! Noble Stream!" Crow roared as the blast of black and orange energy slammed from the dragon's beak, shattering Edgeman into pieces.

Warren tisked as he took battle damage (WARREN: 3900 → 3700).

"Then I set this and end my turn." Crow said, having one set card on his field and one card left in his hand.

"Black-Feather Dragon – your ace monster from the WRGPX. If that's on your field you must be desperate for victory." Warren stated with a nervous smile.

TURN 10: KIRYU, CROW: 2000, WARREN: 3700

"Draw." Warren said with a smirk, looking at his hand.

"I'll Summon Elemental HERO Featherman in defense mode!" Warren said as the green costumed Hero crouched on his field (3/1000/1000).

"And now I battle! Nova Master – destroy his Black Feather Dragon!"

The flame themed Fusion ignited blazing fists as it rushed towards Crow's dragon.

"I'll use Skyscraper to power up Nova Master's attack power to three-thousand six-hundred!" Warren declared.

The flames around Nova Master's body grew more intense as it gained more attack points (2600 → 3600).

"Blazing Upper!" Warren screamed as his monster's fist swung right at Crow's dragon.

"Not quite! Trap card – Down Burst!" Crow countered as his Trap sprung up. "I'll use this to set all of your face-up Spell and Trap cards for the turn!" Crow said as Skyscraper was set and the holographic City vanished, replaced with the regular view from Satellite.

"No! Then Skyscraper's effect won't go through in the Damage Step - !" Warren began.

"Right! So Black Feather Dragon will be victorious!" Crow finished as Nova Master's attack fell (3600 → 2600).

"Now, Black Feather Dragon! Noble Stream!"

Crow commanded as his dragon's beak parted, the spiral red and black beam firing out full force. The blast of power shattered apart Warren's HERO (WARREN: 3700 → 3500).

"I end my Battle Phase." Warren said, glaring at Crow.

"Additionally, Burst Lady will go into defense mode as well." Warren stated as his other warrior crouched (800).

"Now go! Take your next turn!" Warren yelled in anger, gesturing to Kiryu.

TURN 11: KIRYU, CROW: 2000, WARREN: 3500

"Draw." Kiryu said, setting two set cards and a second monster, leaving him with three.

"After setting a monster and two cards – I'll use Phantom Hand again."

Then Kiryu turned to Crow. "Do you mind if I borrow your Ace?"

Crow nodded. "Go for it! Show those 'HEROes' my Black-Feather Dragon's power!"

Kiryu smiled slightly. "Then I'll have Crow's Black Feather Dragon attack Burst Lady. Now – slay a third HERO by order of the Shinigami!"

The Noble Stream attack fired again, shattering Burst Lady apart.

I end my turn." Kiryu finished.

Warren seethed as Crow's ace monster had beaten three of his HERO monsters. He wasn't used to being overpowered – especially since Kiryu wasn't doing much more than fortify the field. The two delinquents he had encountered earlier in his life were now making a mockery of him.

The first had died in prison. Warren was sure of that. How Kiryu Kyosuke had come back was beyond him. Warren remembered hearing about the young man's death from his colleagues. That was before the Satellite prison was burned down. In hindsight the fire was likely Kiryu's doing. The man had summoned fire at will to keep the three locked in the Duel at hand.

The second he had made sure was near death. He had pulled the trigger himself. And yet – Crow stood before him. Black Feather Dragon stood behind the two and Warren narrowed his eyes.

Crow had somehow turned from a useless Satellite to an upstanding Officer of the City. And on top of that he'd saved the City prior as a member of Team 5D's. That kind of life should have been impossible for a Satellite native to obtain. In Warren's ideal world that rule never would have changed.

TURN 12: KIRYU, CROW: 2000, WARREN: 3500

"Then I draw!" Warren said.

"I'll use this Spell card – Miracle Fusion! I merge the Sparkman and Edgeman in my Graveyard together! Unite as one! Elemental HERO - Plasma-vice Man!"

Warren's bulky and armored fusion appeared again, lighting armor crackling as it roared with power (8/2600/2300).

"And now - ! I'll flip Skyscraper back face up!" Warren explained as his Field Spell re-activated.

"Plasma-vice Man! Attack Infernity Guardian!" Warren commanded as his monster slammed into Kiryu's barrier monster (KIRYU, CROW: 2000 → 1200).

"Guh! Can't take much more of this!" Crow said through gritted teeth as his vision swam.

"Well you'll have to! Next, I'll attack Black-Feather Dragon! Absolute Zero – deliver my absolute justice!"

The icy Hero appeared on top of the Skyscraper, leaping down from it to gain speed and momentum (2500 → 3500).

Black-Feather Dragon didn't have time to react as it was struck by a massive shard of ice, shattering into pieces. Crow yelled as he took damage once again (KIRYU, CROW: 1200 → 500).

"Black-Feather Dragon!" Crow yelled even as he fell from the attack, landing on his back and screaming as he felt the injury take its' toll once again.

"What a fool! Trying to Duel let alone stand with an injury like that! You'll fall – just like your Dragon did!" Warren said with a tisk.

Crow groaned as the pain numbed just as before. He saw dark spots across his vision. Then everything stopped.

/

The man stood, the injury fading as his senses dulled. Everything was gray. He saw Kiryu and was more aware of the mark on the man's arm, the Giant now plainly obvious despite being covered by the man's sleeve.

Was it a dream? Crow didn't know. But he was standing – and he knew he had the strength to finish the Duel.

Turn 13: KIRYU/CROW: 500, WARREN: 3500

"Draw!" Crow yelled, pulling the next card from his deck, giving him two, and smirking as Blizzard of the Far North appeared on the card's art.

"Alright! I Summon Black-Feather – Blizzard of the Far North!" Crow declared as the Tuner monster appeared (2/1300/0).

The monster cooed as Crow used it's effect, reviving his Bora the Spear (4/1700/1000). before the two tuned together.

"Pitch-dark power, lodge in its great wings and stir up the divine winds! Synchro Summon! Gust fiercely, Blackfeather - Armed Wing!"

Crow cried out, playing the Synchro Monster (6/2300/1000).

Armed Wing appeared from the Synchro Summon and Crow wasted no time going on the attack.

"Black-Feather Armed Wing! Slay his Featherman! Black Charge!"

The Blackfeather Synchro powered up (2300 → 2800), cleaving through Featherman and dealing Warren piercing damage (WARREN: 3500 → 1700).

The officer grunted and fell back, barely catching himself from toppling over. He rose, panting.

"Heh! How's that damage?! Maybe I'd enjoy a Duel against HEROes if I was facing a respectful Duelist with them! You're a far cry from Yuki Judai or Edo Phoenix!" Crow stated. Warren grimaced, saying nothing at the sudden reversal.

Crow set his last card, gesturing for Warren to make his move.

TURN 13: KIRYU/CROW: 500, WARREN: 1700

"Draw!" Warren grunted, feeling worn out by the Duel. He focused, pulling a single card from the top of his deck with all of his remaining strength.

"I'll use this – Fifth Hope! I shuffle five HERO monsters back into my Deck – and if this was the only card in my hand when I played it – I get to draw three cards as well!" He clarified.

"I'll return Nova Master, Featherman, Burst Lady, Bubbleman, and Lady Heat! Then – I draw again!" The man stated.

Warren returned the monsters to his Deck, drawing the three cards in question. He grinned when he saw what they were, but nonetheless looked to the field.

"I'll attack and end both of your lives! Plasma-Viceman! Deal enough piercing damage to Kiryu's Guardian to win me the game! Lighting Hammer!"

"You won't win that way. I activate this trap card – Dodge Roll." Kiryu said as the wave of lighting missed him.

"With this trap card, I'll reduce the damage I take to zero. I told you Warren – I'm only going to interfere if Crow can't defeat you with his own monsters."

Warren glared at Kiryu but then glanced to Armed Wing.

"In that case I'll deal you some good damage AND clip his wings too! Absolute Zero! Destroy Black Feather Armed Wing!"

A huge blast of cold shot out from The HERO's hands, only to be met with a huge wave of purple darkness from Crow's last trap card.

"What happened now?" Warren asked, looking over to a Trap that Crow just used.

"My trap card – Black Sonic! When you attack a 'Black-Feather' monster, this trap banishes all of your attack position monsters!"

"W-what?!" Warren exclaimed.

Plasma-vice Man screamed as his body faded away. Absolute Zero was soon to follow, leaving Warren's field bare.

Warren seethed as his turnaround was reversed by a single trap card. Then the expression became a grin as a large volley of ice spikes erupted from the field, impaling the remaining monsters. All shattered except for Kiryu's Infernity Guardian.

"As I have no cards in my hand – my Guardian is unaffected by that ability." Kiryu explained.

"A good thing for me then – I still have a Main Phase Two!" Warren said, playing another card.

"First I'll use this spell card - Light of Redemption. I pay eight-hundred life-points to add my banished Sparkman to my hand!" Warren said as the lightning themed HERO appeared in his hand again (WARREN: 1700 → 900).

"Next - I activate Polymerization – fusing the Sparkman on my field with the King of the Swamp in my hand – treating it as Elemental HERO Pheonixguy!" Warren explained before he began to chant.

Surging light from above strikes the blue earth to create a new hero! Shine in your eternal radiance – Elemental HERO – Shining Pheonixguy!"

Warren's ace monster appeared, spreading out its metal wings and roaring. The armored HERO clenched its' fists as it powered up (8/2500/2000 → 8/3400/2000).

"To clarify, Shining Pheonixguy gains three-hundred attack points for each 'Elemental HERO' I have in my Graveyard. Since I have Clayman, Heat, and Sparkman in the grave, that's nine-hundred more!"

Crow took a step back, scowling. "Elemental HERO Shining Pheonixguy. The monster he beat me with before."

Warren grinned again. "Then I end my turn. By all means, show me you can survive another turn."

TURN 14: KIRYU/CROW: 500, WARREN: 900

"Draw." Kiryu said. He pulled a fourth card from his Deck, smirking at what he'd drawn. "With this – I am satisfied."

"What? What did you draw?!" Warren demanded to know.

"Well Warren – Crow has demonstrated he could defeat you on his next turn – meaning I won't stay my hand now. He's avenged his loss at this point – meaning now I can avenge something far more personal – and take the very thing Security took from me!" Kiryu said, turning his most recent card around.

"E-Earthbound Immortal?!" Warren said, taking a step back as the image of the Giant made him feel terror again.

"As Security took away my life – I'll take your soul as retribution!" Kiryu warned, raising the card to the sky.

The stone heart appeared above the three as the sky darkened.

"B – but you need two tributes to call that thing!"

"Hmph. So you know one of my God's restrictions. Too bad I was long prepared for this moment." Kiryu said as he revealed his set card.

"I activate this trap! Limit Impulse! I discard two cards – such as Infernity Climber and Infernity Dwarf – to summon two tokens!"

Kiryu's grin widened as the trap card resolved, two tokens appearing on his field (1/0/0 x 2).

"Then I release both tokens and Advance Summon." Kiryu muttered as he raised the card. Then he raised his head, revealing wide black eyes with yellow irises on them.

"IT'S - ! SHOWTIME!" Kiryu exclaimed, Crow stunned as his friend's expression was exactly the same as his past time as a Dark Signer.

"Now! Across Five Thousand Years' time, the Door to the Underworld Opens! Appear – God who revived my life! Earthbound Immortal Ccapac Apu!"

With the impact of a purple pillar of energy, Kiryu's Immortal loomed over the field with a low roar. The Giant of the Nazca Lines' blue body pulsed as it raised a hand into the sky (10/3000/2500).

"Now – be cast into eternal darkness. And lament your fate at the hand of your former victim." Kiryu said.

"Please! I'll give you all the money Shiro promised me! I'll plead guilty! To what I did to Crow and Satellite! Let me live - !" The officer said, scooting away from Kiryu as fast as he could. He stopped once he felt the flames of the geoglyph close to his back.

"No. Consider this fate a mercy – compared to the Hell the past me would have put you through." Kiryu said, pointing Ccapac Apu's card at Warren.

"Crow. You need to rest. I'll finish this." Kiryu said. "Now – attack."

The had of the Earthbound Immortal phased through Shining Pheonixguy, striking Warren directly. The Officer screamed as a large amount of debris and purple flame flew from the site of the attack.

Once the dust cleared, the Officer was pummled, the impression of Ccapac Apu's hand in the Earth around him (WARREN: 900 → 0)

Kiryu smiled and turned to Crow, pulling the top card of his deck around and showing it to Crow with a grin.

"Blackfeather – Fane the Steel Chain. With this, you could've outlasted him." Kiryu said. "The win is yours. I just made sure he wasn't going to slip away again."

Kiryu's words faded as his friend's vision swam again and Crow fell to the ground.

/

Crow finished recalling the memory and tisked, finding he was wherever Kiryu had taken him. The place was a large room with a few small hallways and compartments. The room he was in had a central panel in the floor that Crow guessed was a way out. He was in the Dark Signers' airship from the looks of it.

Crow glanced down to his injury and did his best to stand without agitating it. He found he could move around despite the wound.

Then – he'd been able to beat Warren. Even if Kiryu's God was the final card played, Crow knew that it was his victory. He'd avenged not only Team Satisfaction's past, but his own present. The surgery meant he wasn't in danger any more and could move if he was careful.

Warren was dealt with. Still, Crow couldn't rest knowing the Dark Signers were afoot during Shiro's plan. Meaning re-joining Team 5D's was the best course of action.

Crow glanced around the airship, seeing that no one was around to keep watch. His Blackbird was in plain sight. Crow activated the D-Wheel and found a message from Kiryu.

"Crow. I won't try and stop you if you want to leave. Regardless of how this pans out – I don't agree with Demak's hostage idea. The Dark Signers are going to go after Shiro. We just needed Team 5D's distracted so that Shiro would slip up. With Demak and Bommer's rematches and whatever happened to Yusei and Izayoi – that's more than enough to keep them busy."

Keep Team 5D's distracted? Crow was confused. His confusion died down when he saw what Kiryu meant. He turned on the news and besides sightings of purple flames, Yusei and Aki's latest Duel was all over the news.

Hesitation didn't matter anymore. He had to get back to Team 5D's.

Crow turned on Blackbird's comm and called Kiryu.

"I'm awake. Thanks for saving me back there. Again." Crow said. He heard Kiryu chuckle over the line.

"I owed you for helping out with Satisfaction Town. Besides – It was fun teaming up with you again."

"I got your message, Kiryu. I'm leaving this place. Team 5D's needs my help."

"I'll let Misty and the others know not to expect you then. Just be careful. Shiro's still out there, even if Warren's dealt with." The Shinigami stated.

"Yeah, I've had enough of that guy messing with my friends. He also had Warren almost kill me so I really hope we deal with him soon. Who knows how many people like Warren Shiro has in his pocket?"

"Well he's got all the Earthbound Immortals mad at him. We'll find him sooner or later." Kiryu said and Crow nodded, kicking Blackbird into gear.

"Well I'll see you when this is over, Kiryu."

A lone D-Wheel exited the airship's bay doors, landing in City limits and beginning its journey to where Yusei and Aki's Duel had concluded. Crow minded his injury as he sped through the streets. There was a lot of damage to the surrounding area – after all multiple Earthbound Immortals had been summoned in a very short time.

The streets were empty of human life but there was a lot of debris. Crow weaved between the wreckage and did his best to stay on course.

This Duel was a long time coming for Crow and I hope I gave enough of a pay-off for him here. For those curious if Kiryu hadn't been part of the Duel I still would've had Crow win the rematch.
