"It's nice you see you again, my lady."

Makaria smiled, her heart beating just a bit quicker as Dorado smiled towards her. There was just something about the way he called her his lady that made her heart flutter a bit. She nodded back towards him. "And it's always good to see you Dorado. Thanks for taking time to escort me again," she said.

"It's no trouble at all," Dorado said shaking his head. Her trips here had been going on for some time, and Dorado had always been right at her side during each of them. The young titan had been the one responsible for bringing her here, so he wasn't willing to leave anything to chance. Plus, he just enjoyed her company.

Usually they just went sightseeing. He would show her some of the most famous sights in mewni, along to some of the kingdoms and tribes homelands. They tried to be discrete since neither one of them wanted their outings to turn into a big thing. Makaria didn't need to risk word getting back to Earth, and Dorado didn't want anyone getting the wrong impression. The royal court was… well, gossipy.

Today however would be a bit different. She was going to be taking a look around the Butterfly castle. While she had met up with his father again, the rest of the family had yet to meet her. He honestly wasn't all that keen on introducing them given how his mothers and sisters reacted whenever her name was brought up. But when Makaria herself had asked, he couldn't bring himself to say no.

"I just feel like I should warn you. Things inside of my home can get rather… chaotic," he said rubbing the back of his head.

"I very much doubt they could be any more chaotic than my family." Her familial tree was far more vast, and had literally millenias of past troubles and misdeeds.

Dorado hummed. "I don't think the gap is quite as wide as you'd think…"

They began making their way towards the castle, and about halfway through the courtyard, a figure appeared before them. Aqua looked over both her brother and his guests, and then hummed. "So, I did sense divine magic." It had been the same kind she sensed from her aunt Nia and Dai Tai, along with some of their kids.

Only this one felt unfamiliar to her.

"So, you must be that Makaria girl my brother was on about. A pure blooded goddess, from the Greek Pantheon," Aqua said floating towards her. Makaria looked at the young girl confused. Based on what Dorado had told her about his family, this was probably his youngest sister. She certainly was forward.

"Hello there. My name is-"

"Makaria, I know," Aqua said, cutting her off. "I have a few questions I'd like you to ask you about your magical power and abilities. I also would like to collect some samples from you. A few strands of hair and maybe a blood sample if you wouldn't-"

Dorado suddenly cut in between the two females, a frown on his face. "Aqua, you know what father said about you heckling guests like this. In fact, you shouldn't be heckling people like this in general. Makaria is just here to meet everyone and look around. Maybe you can ask her questions another time if she's willing."

Aqua frowned and crossed her arms. "She can speak for herself, Dorado. If she has a problem with me asking her questions, she's free to refuse," she said before looking towards Makaria. "How about it? Would you like to help me out, or just keep touring around with this dum-dum?"

Makaria looked a tad nervous. "Uh… I don't really mind answering a few questions, but… perhaps maybe some other time? I am very flattered you're so interested in me, but I'd like to get to meet everyone and get to look around first. I'm very sorry if that's disappointing," she said.

Aqua sucked the back of her teeth. "Ugh, it's fine…" She had hoped getting the jump on them early would get her a chance. She knew with all the chaos that was bound to go down later she wouldn't get a proper time to talk to her today. But she was just going to have to wait for another opportunity. "Can I at least have a hair sample?"

"Uh…"

"No!" Dorado said sternly. "And don't try to steal on, or I'm telling father."

"I wasn't going to steal one!" Aqua snapped. She only took samples by force if it was from family. Because well… family was supposed to give you things.

"It's a pleasure to meet you though Aqua," Makaria said, nodding towards her.

"Yes, a pleasure…" Aqua sounded more like she was saying it as a formality than anything else. She looked towards her brother. "I want to run some tests later. Give me some of your feathers… please."

Makaria looked confused, and Dorado blushed. "Ugh… perhaps later." Aqua raised her eyebrow at him. So, he hadn't told Makaria about his wings yet. How silly.

"Whatever…"

Aqua vanished, and Dorado turned towards his guests. "I'm sorry about her. Aqua can be a bit… forward. She doesn't mean any harm by it. She's just very curious." Sometimes far too curious in his opinion. But things could have gone far worse, so he was just going to be grateful.

"It's no problem at all. I think she's pretty charming in her own little way. And you seem to get along." Dorado wasn't sure if he would quite call it that, but he was closer to Aqua than either of his brothers were. "By the way, what was that she said about feathers?"

Dorado flinched. "I-It wasn't anything important," he said, turning around. "We should get going. I still have the rest of the castle to show you." She looked after him as he began walking off, a confused look on her face. What did he seem so nervous about?

"So this is the little goddess you've been sneaking around with huh?"

Lacerta smirked as he stood in front of Makaria and Dorado. The latter was standing in front of the goddess with a frown on his face, as if he was trying to shield her from his brother. "You must be Lacerta. It's very nice to meet you," Makaria said waving towards him. From what she'd heard about him he could be… well, difficult.

"I have to admit, when my brother talked about you I thought you'd be a lot more homely. Dorado is such a dud when it comes to women. But you're pretty easy on the eyes," Lacerta said crossing his arms. "How'd you end up tagging along with him?"

Dorado narrowed his eyes and stepped forward. "Seriously? Could you at least try and act decently for once?" he said. He knew Lacerta was only trying to act like this because he had company. He never missed a chance to try and irk him.

"C'mon Dor, all I did was compliment the lady. You really gotta get that chip off your shoulder bro. Girls don't like guys who are super clingy," Lacerta said waving his hand. "You might know about swordplay, but when it comes to girls-"

"We're not a thing!" Dorado said quickly.

Lacerta and Makaria both looked at him. "I didn't say you were…" Lacerta said, one of the most smug looks he'd ever had on his face. Dorado was silent for a moment, and then he blushed and covered his face. Lacerta burst out in laughter until suddenly a hand smacked the back of his head.

He looked over her shoulder and saw Sagitta frowning at him. "Stop teasing Dor in front of his girlfriend!" she said, looking annoyed. Her brother had finally picked a girl out that he liked, and here was Lacerta heckling him about it. He was so immature.

Makaria looked embarrassed. "Oh, no. We're not actually-"

Sagitta walked towards her with a smile. "I'm Sagitta by the way, Dorado's little sister. I am so happy he finally brought you around. He's always talking about you and-"

Dorado suddenly jumped forward and covered her mouth. "Well, that's enough of that!" he said as Sagitta tried and failed to pull his hand away. She knew he hadn't done it on purpose, but she was just so… oblivious when it came to matters like this. Given how romantically uninclined when it came to Sandor, it was hardly a surprise.

Makaria's usually pale face was as red as a tomato. Dorado talked about her? To his family? She wondered what he said to them. She was snapped out of her thoughts however when she felt something nudge her from behind. She turned around and nearly jumped when she saw two figures begin circling around her.

Two massive wolves, one whose fur was as black as night, and the other's whose fur was as white as snow. Hati and Skoll both sniffed at the new face. Skoll's expression was a more genuinely curious one, while Hati looked more weary and skeptical. "Sorry about them, they're just taking in a new scent," Lacerta said.

"Skoll, Hati, don't be rude," Dorado said sternly. The two wolves both stopped and looked towards them, Skoll with his ears folding down, while Hati let out a growl. Only Lacerta, Astro, or Orthrus got to order him around.

"It's fine. They might just be reacting to… a different scent," Makaria assured. They might have looked intimidating to most, but she knew a far larger and more fierce looking hound. Besides, she wasn't one to judge based on looks. She reached out and scratched them both behind the ears. "Hello there. How are you?"

The two wolves both seemed to melt as she scratched away. She let out a giggle. Cerberus always appreciated being scratched in the exact same spot. "Not bad…" Lacerta said, rubbing his chin. Not just anybody could get Hati's approval like that. So far it had only been her and Bergljot.

Dorado was mildly surprised, but more relieved that the subject had changed. "Wow, you must have a way with animals," Sagitta said.

Makaria shrugged. "Certain ones I suppose." In reality, most animals tended to avoid her, their instincts warning them of her deathly presence and causing them to flee. But ones like Cerberus and these two had little to fear. They reacted to her as a normal animal would react to anyone else.

Cetus made his way around the corner. "Hey guys, mom wanted me to tell you all that… oh, hey," he said as he noticed Makaria. That was right, he remembered Dorado saying something about having company over. "Your… Makaria right?"

She nodded. "Yes. And you must be Cetus. A pleasure to meet you," she said nodding towards him politely. "Dorado has told me a lot of things about you. He says you're a kind little soul."

Cetus hummed. "He talks a lot about you too. He was right, you're really pre-"

"Whelp, let's get going! I'm sure dinner is almost ready!" Dorado said, grabbing Makaria's hand and leading her down the hall.

Lacerta smiled deviously. "Dinner is going to be fun…"

Sagitta frowned and crossed her arms. "Lars, don't mess with them."

"Oh relax. I'm not gonna do anything. I mean, I don't have to," he said shrugging his shoulders. "Wisteria is gonna do it for me."

Both Sagitta and Cetus went wide eyed. "What?!"

"Stop it…"

"I didn't do anything."

"You were about to. Leave the boy alone."

Maria pouted towards Astro, who was watering one of the rose bushes in the royal garden. Dorado and Makaria had come by and were taking a stroll through it, and the moment Maria had spotted them her face lit up, and she started towards them. Only to be stopped by her husband. "I'm just to say hello!" she argued.

Astro clicked his tongue. "You were going to be all… motherly. I know you were. You've been all giddy ever since you learned about them," he said.

She scoffed. "I am not! Just because I'm taking an interest in someone he brings around doesn't mean I…" She stopped when Asto gave her a look, as if silently asking her if she expected him to buy what she was saying. "He never brings any girls home! I'm her mother damn it! I deserve the right to investigate a little!"

Astro went back to the rose bush. "You know how terrible it was for us when my mother bugged us back then. Not to mention Grandma…" Maria winced slightly at the memory. Moon had warmed up to her eventually, but when they'd first hung around each other she was sort of… passive aggressive.

It was more about her being protective of Astro than any actual dislike of Maria, but still. "This isn't the same and you know it," she said crossing her arms. "And I just want to give them a little push in the right direction. Look at them, they're adorable."

Astro raised an eyebrow. "You don't think he and Wisteria are adorable?"

"I don't care who he ends up with! I just want to give him some motherly advice on girls!"

"Dorado is a sensible boy. He's like me. Whenever I was having trouble with you I went to my mother, and when he needs motherly advice, he'll do the same," Astro advised. He was pretty sure by now everyone had bugged him about Makaria at this point, and he didn't want her piling on.

Maria huffed, but decided to wait. She would have her chance if Makaria stayed for dinner anyway. For now she would just be content watching the two. It felt nice seeing Dorado smiling so much. It wasn't like he never smiled but… well, he seemed so much more relaxed around Makaria.

That probably wouldn't last long however.

"Hey Dorado…"

The prince jumped and then looked over to see Wisteria making her way towards them. "Wisteria? What are you doing here?" he asked, confused. They didn't have any missions to meet up for, and he didn't hear anything about her coming over today.

"Delivering a message for my folks to your daddy dearest," she said before glancing over at Makaria. "So, you're the little goddess Dorado's been sneaking off to Earth to see," she said, smirking as she looked the snow haired girl up and down.

Makaria gave a nervous wave. "Uh, hello. It's nice to meet you…"

Wisteria hummed. "I thought a goddess would be more… you know, more," she said smugly, causing Malaria to flinch. Had… had she just been insulted?

Dorado quickly stepped forward and cut in. "Makaria, this is princess Wisteria. She's a close friend and ally of mine. Wisteria, this is Makaria. The goddess of blessed deaths," he explained.

"It's nice to meet you," Makaria said. Her tone was a bit more even than it was before however. She didn't want to be disrespectful, but she got the feeling this Wisteria girl was planning on being a little less than friendly towards her.

Wisteria hummed. "Yeah, you too."

There was a tense moment of silence between all three of them, and then Dorado cleared his throat. "Uh, I don't suppose Mmf-!" Dorado went wide eyed when Wisteria leaned down, cupping his chin and pressing her lips against his. Makaria went wide eyed as well, shocked by the sudden and seemingly random show of affection.

Wisteria held the kiss for a bit, and then stood back up, smiling down at the now blushing prince. "W-what was that about?!" Dorado asked, stunned.

"Just staking my claim," she said as she turned to go meet with Astro. She waved back at the two. "Have fun on the rest of your visit, goddess of death."

Dorado stood, still blushing, while Makaria was silent. Her expression was hard to read, but some of the grass and flowers around her began to quickly wilt away. Wisteria reached Astro and Maria, who had of course seen the whole thing.

Maria looked at the princess and shook her head. "Wisteria, as Dorado's mother I have to tell you that that was rather rude and I feel bad that you've put my son in such a tight spot… as a woman who understands young love however, that was an alpha move and I have no choice but to respect it."

Wisteria smirked back at the woman, as Astro clicked his tongue. "Good luck son…"

A/N: Dorado and Makaria spend some time together, and Wisteria is making sure to plant that flag on her territory. She's pretty direct about what she wants and she isn't planning on beating around the bush lol. Dorado is gonna have some tough times ahead.
