:D

I want to start off by saying a massive thank you for all those who have nominated me for the Irondad Creator Awards! Voting starts April 10 and I would appreciate it so much if you voted! There are so many amazing fics out there and I can't believe you guys thought of me! THANK YOU!

Thanks to all the lovely reviews and kudos you are continuously giving this series! I can't thank you enough for all the love you have given it! It's been a pleasure to write these.

PROMPTS ARE CLOSED until further notice. I'm slowly getting through them and will let you know when they are re-opened.

This prompt is from Irish_Dancer on Ao3 - Do you think you could do one where Tony and Pepper forget to go to Peter's AcaDec comp because of Morgan? And then Flash makes fun of Peter not having anyone there. There's tears, but at the end, all is forgiven.

I hope you enjoy and my apologies for any mistakes!

Feeling Forgotten

It's not a big deal, Peter keeps telling himself as he scans the gathered crowd. It's not a big deal. It's just a competition.

But no matter how much Peter tells himself that a small part of him is heartbroken. Peter can easily spot Ned's parents in the front row (the two them giving a wave when they see Peter looking) and can see Liz's mum a few seats behind them. Peter can even see Flash's parents at the back, both of them with their heads bent over their phones. Everyone's parents are there except for Peter's.

It's Peter's first time at the Decathlon semi finals competition and it was one he had been nervous about since he found out. His parents had been so proud of him and had promised that they would be there to cheer him on. Except, they weren't here, and Peter wasn't surprised that they had forgotten because lately them seemed to forget everything that wasn't related to Peter's little sister, Morgan.

"Please take your seats, the competition is about to begin," the moderator said into the microphone.

"Mr. Harrington," Flash called, looking to the teacher who was getting all the students into the correct order of seating. "I should take Peter's place today. His parents couldn't even bother to show up today. Mine are here. Peter should be the alternate today." He turned and gave Peter a nasty sneer.

"Flash," Mr. Harrington warned, eyes darting to Peter.

"What? My parents actually took the day off for this," Flash said. "They care about me and my achievements, you see."

Tears burned at the back of Peter's eyes and he willed them not to fall. Normally he could tune out Flash's bullying but today he couldn't. His words were hitting a little too close to home.

Morgan had just turned five and had just started going to school. Peter had been thrilled to learn that he was getting a little sister not long after his dad had married Pepper Potts. Peter's mother had never been in the picture and for as long as Peter could remember, Pepper had always been there for him. He remembered as a kid always trying to get his dad to marry Pepper so she could really be his mum and when Peter turned nine, he had cheered as loud as he could when they had gotten married. Morgan had appeared not long after and they were the happy family Peter had always wanted.

Lately, though, Morgan had been dominating their parents' attention and Peter was starting to feel forgotten. Peter used to be able to tell his dad everything but lately he had been too busy with Morgan to sit down with Peter. Too busy to even have their usual lab sessions. Peter hadn't even been able to tell them about the weird spider bite he had gotten last week on a field trip. His parents just thought he had the flu and Peter hadn't even been able to tell them about the strange ('Dude, that's totally wicked' 'Ned, I don't think I should be able to this.') side-effects he now had; one of which gave him the ability to stick to everything.

"Flash, take your seat," Mr. Harrington said firmly. "Peter will be competing today."

"Fine," Flash huffed. "I guess I'll go sit with my parents who actually bothered to show up."

Peter breathed sharply through his nose, scrambling for Ned's hand when his best friend gave it a squeeze.

"Don't listen to him, Peter," Ned whispered in his ear. "I'm sure something came up and they are just running late."

"Yeah," Peter cleared his throat. "I'm sure they will be."

"Ladies and gentlemen please welcome our two competing schools," the moderator called out and Peter shook himself out of his thoughts, focusing on the competition. He didn't dare look back to the crowd, not wanting to see that his parent's hadn't shown.

"Hey Pep," Tony said, answering the call in the car.

"Hi mum!" Morgan cheered from her booster seat in the back seat of the car.

"Hi, sweetie," Pepper said. "How was your day?"

"It was really fun!" Morgan cheered. "I did some paintings at school today!"

"That's great sweetie," Pepper said. "I can't wait to see them."

"We are on our way home from the play date," Tony said, grinning as Morgan kicked her legs out happily.

"Great, I'm nearly done for the day, but do you want me to pick up some dinner?" Pepper asked.

"Yeah, that would be great. How is Peter getting home today? Do I need to stop and pick him up?" Tony asked.

"Petey!" Morgan cheered. "I want to give him my cupcake!"

Tony glanced in the rear-view mirror to look at the squished cupcake in Morgan's hand that she had brought with her from her playdate. Tony knew that Peter would accept it and eat it for Morgan. The kid would do anything for his little sister.

"Peter is getting home by….," Pepper said, voice trailing off. "Oh no."

"What?" Tony demanded, instantly worried at the tone Pepper had taken.

"Tony. Tony, please tell me you went to Peter's Decathlon competition today," Pepper pleaded.

Tony's heart dropped in his chest. Peter had a competition today and he had completely forgotten. He had been so focused lately on SI work, Iron-Man and getting Morgan to school and then to her playdates that it had completely slipped his mind.

"Shit," Tony said, feeling his blood turn cold. How could he be so stupid? Peter had been so excited about the competition, his first semi-finals, and they had missed it.

"Shit," Morgana repeated with a cheeky grin.

"Oh Tony, we didn't," Pepper whispered.

"FRIDAY, track Peter's phone. Where is he?" Tony demanded.

"Peter's phone is currently at home with him in his room," FRIDAY answered.

"I'm heading home right now, Pep," Tony squeezed the steering wheel tightly.

"Me too," Pepper said. "I'll try and give him a call."

"Got it. See you soon," Tony said.

"Daddy?" Morgan asked once the call had been disconnected. "Is Peter in trouble?"

"No, sweetie," Tony shook his head. He felt sick to his stomach. "Mum and dad are. We forgot about something that was important to Peter today."

"Oh," Morgan frowned. "I should have gotten two cupcakes for him."

Tony's heart stuttered at his little girl. Morgan adored Peter and was always sharing her toys, food and well, everything, with her older brother. Tony knew though that two cupcakes was not going to make it up to Peter for the fact that they had forgotten his important competition.

Morgan seemed to pick up on Tony's anguish as she was quiet for the rest of the trip. When they arrived back at the tower, she was helpful in getting out of the car and held her dad's hand all the way up to the penthouse. Tony heart dropped even further when the doors opened, and he heard Peter's loud voice coming from the living room.

"-today! It's been months! I haven't even been in the lab with dad for a month! When was the last time we had our secret midnight snack?" Peter yelled.

"I know. I'm so sorry Peter," Pepper said, guilt leaking from her tone.

"Petey?" Morgan asked as they stepped out of the elevator and walked towards the living room.

Peter's face was flushed, anger visible. He struggled to reign it in as he looked at his sister, clearly not wanting to upset her.

"Hey, Morgan," Peter said, voice flat.

Tony winced. Peter always greeted his sister cheerfully, eager to hear about her day. Tony knew they had screwed up and wished he could reverse time so that this moment never had to happen.

"I got you a cupcake," Morgan wondered closer and held out the cupcake when she was close enough.

"Thanks," Peter struggled to smile.

"Morgan, can you go play in your room for a bit?" Tony asked.

"Okay. Here, Petey," Morgan thrust the cupcake into Peter's unwilling hand. She gave a hesitant smile but when she didn't get one in return her face dropped and she shuffled out of the room.

"Pete, kiddo, I am so sorry," Tony said once Morgan was gone. "So, so, sorry."

"Whatever," Peter sniffed.

"No, kiddo," Tony shook his head. "You have every right to be upset with me and Pep. Us forgetting about your competition is not okay."

"Let me guess, something with Morgan came up?" Peter huffed. "It's always about Morgan lately!"

Tony winced as Peter's words rang true. "I know. It has been about your sister lately. But Pete, that doesn't mean we don't care about you. She's five, buddy and at the moment she needs us a little more."

"I need you!" Peter cried, tears welling up in his eyes. "I need your help. I've needed your help for weeks! I've got super-powers and neither of you have even noticed!"

"Sorry, you've got what?" Pepper frowned.

"Super-powers!" Peter snapped. "I needed your help, and you just blew me off!"

"When you say super-powers do you mean some new trend that you and Ned are participating in or do you mean –" Tony asked hesitantly and he trailed off when Peter glared at him.

His jaw dropped when Peter leapt into the air and stuck to the wall using nothing but his hands. He crawled along the wall, up to the ceiling and when he was in the middle, he suddenly dropped, propelling down on what looked to be some kind of web.

"Super-powers!" Peter stressed upside down.

"Oh my god," Pepper gasped, hand coming to cover her mouth. "How are you doing that?"

"I DON'T KNOW!" Peter yelled.

"That wasn't the flu a couple of weeks ago, was it?" Tony asked unable to stop staring at his kid who was upside down.

Peter shook his head. "On the field trip I got bit by a spider."

Tony mind was reeling. His kid had superpowers and he hadn't even noticed. He was the worst father in the world.

"Oh Pete," Tony said.

Peter flipped himself up right, tears now steadily dripping down his cheeks.

Tony strode forward, pulling Peter into a tight hug. Peter resisted the hug for a moment before collapsing into Tony, crying steadily now.

"It's okay, bambino," Tony soothed. "I'm here now. I promise. I'm so sorry you had to do this alone. I'm so, so sorry."

Pepper came forward, joining in the hug. She pressed a firm kiss to the crown of Peter's head. "I'm so sorry, sweetheart. We never meant make you feel like we had no time for you. We will do better. I promise."

Peter sniffled into Tony's chest, hugging him a little too tightly. (Tony made a mental note to add super strength to the list of bizarre things his kid could now do.)

"I love you, kiddo. So much," Tony said, bending to kiss the top of Peter head.

"I love you too," Peter sniffed in a watery voice.

"We'll figure it out," Tony promised. "Together."

Tony vowed then and there to never let anything be more important than his family. He would never let his kids go through anything alone again.

Happy reading :)
