Episode Name: "Loser's Circle"
Episode Summary:
Kaz wants to battle against players who he has lost to in the past. His strategy is to use Ancient Underworld Creatures. All his opponents have no knowledge of these creatures and have no idea how to beat them. Tom watches the matches, but he doesn't like what Kaz is doing.
Meanwhile, Sarah and Peyton go back to Ancient Perim on a scan quest. They start in a Mipedian location. Unlike in the present, the Ancient Mipedians live is lush jungles. They meet some Past Mipedians and join them on their journey. The Mipedians are on a mission to find out why water is disappearing. They get sucked underground, and find anciant Danians. Apparently, the Danians are taking water away from the jungles. The Mipedians and Danians start to fight, which could be the first time these Tribes have battled against each other. Peyton and Sarah scan creatures, battle gear and whatever else was there before porting out back to Chaotic.
Back in Chaotic, Kaz battles against Sam Shady but it does not go so well. Sam figured out what Hotekk's real reward to Tom was and went to ancient Perim. He scanned the same Underworlder that Kaz had been using only Sam's scan is much more stronger. Kaz losses. At the end Sam says that other players will find out about Dranikus Threshold being a portal to the past and their scans won't be so special anymore.
Season 3, Episode 7
Don't hold grudges
Against players who've beat you
It'll be your downfall.
Notes: Well, the new deadline is getting closer and I've gotten behand again. I really don't want to extend it again, so I'll try to update again tonight.
It was cool to see the Ancient Mipedians and Danians. They didn't normally get focused on and I think this episode was where they get the most spotlight in season three.
Have y'all read the book "The Khilaian Sphere" by Aaron Rosenburge? It's about how the first M'arrillian war started. There were suppose to be other books, but they weren't published. "The Khilaian Sphere" was left on a cliffhanger, and now the conclusion will probably never be seen. I've wondered if it was cannon to the cartoon. If it is cannon then I think it takes place after the date of Ancient Perim. I came to this conclusion because in the book the four Tribes have know each other for a long time, yet the Mipedians and Danians just meet in this episode. There's other reasons I have, but if I explain them then the word count would get too high.
Another thing, I didn't realize how much of a sore loser Kaz is until this episode.
Question: Do you think Sam beating Kaz like that was karma for how Kaz was acting to all those other players?
