George Weasley's breathing was slow and relaxed as he laid in his bed, listening to the birds chirping in the distance, signifying that morning had arrived. His eyes opened slowly as the person next to him moved. A smile made its way to his lips as he rolled over and slung an arm over Angelina.

"Morning," he whispered into her ear.

Her face lightened up when she turned to face him, shifting her body towards him under his arm. "Good morning."

"Today will be a great day," he muttered.

Angelina raised an eyebrow. "Oh, really? What do you have planned?"

In slow-motion, he moved forward and kissed her on the lips before pulling away. "You'll find out later." George pulled away, almost not making it off the bed with Angelina's complaints. "Sorry, I've got to get to the shop."

George pulled on his clothes, laughing as they kept making silly faces at each other. For somebody who was very serious, Angelina made the best faces. George was barely able to keep himself together.

Sorting out his bowtie, he moved towards his girlfriend and planted a long loving kiss onto her lips. "Don't have too much fun without me."

"Don't forget dinner today," she reminded him absentmindedly.

"Dinner?" George sent her his best-confused look before grinning. "Oh, yes! It's going to be great! The best day. Greatest day ever!"

She waved him away and rolled back over.

With a grin, George exited his room and made his way down the corridor to where Fred sorting out his hair in the mirror. "There's the other me!"

"Let's go; we've got things to do!"

His brother's laughter bounced off the walls before they Apparated to their shop.

"Are you sure about this, brother?"

George looked over at his brother as they were stacking the shelves; this was the unglamourous part of their life. It wasn't all fun and games. The edges of George's lips turned up automatically at the thought of his girlfriend. "Of course."

Fred smiled back. "You only grin like that for her."

George caught wind of his reflection and grinned wider. "That's how special she is."

"Is now the right time, though? In a few days, we're…"

George cut him off with a sharp look. The tense expression on his face soured both of their moods. "There's no time like the present. This war is going to happen regardless of whether or not I ask her to marry me. It might be the only chance I'll get."

"Don't talk like that."

"It's true, Fred. I want Angelina to know how much I love her. I'm not going to let this war get the way of that." George carefully placed down a Snapping-Sleeve and looked towards his twin. "Just like our parents didn't. If they had waited until the war was over, you and I wouldn't have been born."

"And the shame that would've been!"

George chuckled and shook his head. "The Weasley's wouldn't be the same without the mischievous duo!"

Fred playfully nudged him as he passed him. "Soon to be a trio; Angelina must be an official member of our awesomeness!"

"Thanks, Fred."

George twisted around, a grin on his face as he helped a customer. He loved this job. But one thing he almost loved more was the beautiful black-haired witch who walked - more like stormed - into the shop.

He was late meeting her down the street.

"George," she growled, pulling him to the side. "You're late!"

George smiled innocently. "I want to show you something."

"Now's not the time to show me one of your new creations, I didn't get dressed up for a new potion to blow up in my face."

"One time."

Angelina set a stare at him.

"Right, maybe more than once. But trust me, come on," George prompted, slinging an arm around her hips and led her towards the stairs. "It'll be two minutes then we can go to dinner. I promise."

With a sigh, she went with him.

George sent a wink towards Fred as he led Angelina into the back room. "So, I know that you will have to work a lot of late hours. Being part of the Law Division in the Ministry of Magic is important." He showed her the desk he had bought for her, holding back the grin on his face. "This way you could bring your work here if we both have to work late."

"That's so sweet."

"I want to show you that you mean so much to me. I will support you in whatever you do and…" he drifted off as their eyes met. His hand gently pulling out the velvet box. "And I want to spend the rest of my life with you."

Clearing his throat, George lowered himself into a kneeled position.

"This room is the start of what we can begin." George took a deep breath and watched the realisation fill her face as her lips turned upwards. "Angelina, will you marry me?"

One second.

Two seconds.

Three-

"YES!"
