Episode 92: The war begins

In the next day´s afternoon, a cargo truck flew over the streets of Alumia, the wolf that drove it whistled a melody casually, he wore a black tactical uniform and a pair of sunglasses, same as the copilot, a male lynx. Everything was normal until someone in a mech suit landed over the ground, aiming its heavy weapons at them. It was painted dark green and had some yellow designs over it. The wolf gasped and stepped on the gas with all his strength.

"Dang it!" The lynx exclaimed.

The wolf tried to make the truck flew higher with the steering wheel, but he maneuvered too late as the person in the mech suit shot a powerful laser beam at them, destroying the window and killing them both instantly, burning their fur and flesh. The truck stopped hovering and fell to the ground. The mech´s tinted face shield slid upwards. "Like taking candy from a baby." The snow leopard in the suit was none other than Alfons, leader of the Chaos Warriors.

Uthman the ferret, almond furred, hopped out from his hideout, he had been hiding behind a column, just as the other members of the team, Halley the red panda, Regina the cat, who was black furred, Asher the meerkat and Landon the raccoon, each one of them wearing their signature, red bodysuit with black details, with an abstract 'CW' logo printed on the front side of the suits and on the left arm. "Do I proceed, boss?" Uthman approached the truck, readying his waterjet, aiming the pistol at the tall door of the truck´s backside.

"What do you think? Open that up." Alfons said while approaching them.

"With pleasure." Uthman began to shoot at the door, cutting its hard, metallic surface smoothly. The huge, square shaped piece he had just cut fell over the ground. The inside of the truck was exposed now, several black boxes were stacked at the bottom.

Alfons chuckled, looking at the boxes with satisfaction. "There you are." He hopped in with the help of his mech suit. "Come with daddy." The Chaos Warriors weren´t aware of the security cameras that were hidden in the columns that supported the overpass.

In the Sanders´ apartment, Sylvia and Declan were watching the breaking news on the small TV that was in the kitchen. "The suspects have gotten rid of the vehicle´s respective drivers." A female news anchor narrated the events while the video feed of the security cameras was being shown.

Ace arrived suddenly, raising an eyebrow while looking at the TV, narrowing his glare when noticing the familiar looks and faces of some of them. "Those suits." His eyes widened when remembering the name of the criminal group. "Oh no." Ace left the kitchen in a hurry.

"Come on, move!" Alfons said while carrying a pair of boxes, his mech suit made the task way easier. He hopped out from the vehicle and put them on the ground, sighing after the effort. Halley and Regina exited the truck as well and instantly dropped the heavy box they were carrying.

"Hey careful with that!" Alfons warned.

Lastly, Uthman, Asher and Landon jumped out from the vehicle and placed the last two boxes on the ground, letting out sighs of exhaustion. "They´re all, boss." Landon said.

"Excellent." Alfons activated his comm by pressing a button on one of the suit´s arms, getting it before his snout. "Lydia, w..." He got hit by a laser all of a sudden, gasping and falling to the ground, hitting Landon and Asher, making them fall as well.

"Hey, what a surprise!" Ace landed over the roof of the truck along with his team, all dressed up with their bodysuits.

Alfons stood up and glared at them, gasping and frowning as he recognized them immediately. "What the heck are you doing here?!" He yelled with rage.

"That´s not of your business." Tech responded.

Alfons let out another scream of rage. "Attack!" He shot a rocket at them.

"Woah!" Ace and the others dodged the rocket by flying up with their jetpacks, the rocket hit the truck and made it explode. They landed over the ground. "I see you got a new toy." Ace said.

"And I´m sure it wasn´t a gift from your grandma." Duck cooked a pair of orbs while approaching the enemies. Regina loaded her flame thrower and shot it at him. Duck teleported and appeared right next to the large flame then jumped and threw the two orbs at her, hitting her on the chest and the face, she screamed and fell over her back, letting out a gasp before Halley went to help her stand up.

Slam roared beastly and used his tornado to move towards Alfons violently, who shot a rocket at him. The tornado that surrounded Slam changed the rocket´s path, it flew towards one of the columns, hitting it and destroying it, making the overpass collapse. The Loonatics and the Chaos Warriors avoided the falling debris with ease. Slam managed to approach Alfons, he stopped using his tornado and punched him on the suit´s chest area, making him gasp and stumble, but he maintained balance easily, thanks to the heaviness of the mech suit which had neutralized the hit almost completely. Alfons made the suit´s face shield slide down again, protecting his head entirely, then he punched Slam right on the snout, making it bleed right away.

Lexi was confronting Landon, he evaded her brain blast shots while shooting at her with his sonic gloves. Lexi was flying with her jetpack which helped her dodge the waves of sound. She flew down and deactivated her jetpack then rushed towards Landon, crouching to avoid another shot from his gloves, she then jumped at him with her leg extended, hitting his face, making him fall to the ground.

Rev was getting hit constantly. "Ouch!" He moved rapidly with his super speed while trying to hit his invisible rival, who was Asher the meerkat. "That´s kinda overpowered don´t you thi..?" He got hit right on the beak strongly. "Uggh!" He rubbed his beak then got hit again on the stomach.

Ace dodged Uthman´s deadly water shots with grace, bending, crouching and jumping while shooting at him with his laser vision. "I guess you guys don´t practice your shooting that much." He chuckled cockily, occasionally using his jetpack to evade the shots. "You remind me of those..." Ace gasped when a shot passed dangerously close to his side. "Woah!" He landed over the ground. "...uhm, I mean, are you into space opera movies?" Ace looked at him with a daring glare.

Lydia the hawk, dark blue feathered and with long red hair, was on the rooftop of a building, looking through the scope of her sniper riffle. "Got ya, little birdie." She aimed right at Rev´s head then she shot. Rev had jumped to avoid a hit from Asher, thing that saved his life as he got shot on the leg instead. He let out a scream of great pain and fell to the ground while covering his bleeding leg.

"Dang it!" Lydia exclaimed.

Tech had just dodged one of Halley´s shots, which came from his molecular decomposer, which was a large, blue colored riffle. Tech evaded the constant, purple and bright shots with the help of his jetpack. He accelerated towards him and kicked him with both feet right on his face, making him groan and hit the ground a couple of times, laying there while rubbing his snout. Tech deactivated his jetpack and rushed towards him. Halley shot at him while standing up, Tech avoided the shot with a somersault but then Halley shot again, hitting him successfully this time. "Gah!" Tech exclaimed before being turned into a dust of molecules. Halley laughed victoriously, until the dust that floated in the air began to turn into Tech again, a sudden green flash revealed him, with his body completely regenerated and intact.

Halley gasped while looking at him with his widened eyes. "What the heck?"

"Molecular decomposer." Tech chuckled while adopting a battle position and activating his magnetic abilities. "Nice one." He manipulated one of the truck´s burned fenders and ripped it off, then he hit Halley with it, who groaned and fell over the ground. "Seems you dealt with the worst rival possible." Tech let out another confident chuckle.

Duck was teleporting around Regina, each time he teleported, he either hit her with his fists or with orbs. Regina let out a scream of desperation while shooting randomly with her flame thrower. "Hey!" Duck appeared behind her and just pushed her, making her groan and fall down, hitting the ground strongly. "That attitude ruins that pretty face of yours, kitty."

Alfons and Slam were battling intensely, punching and kicking each other fiercely. Alfons kneeled Slam´s stomach, who gasped and backed his arm then punched Alfons on the shoulder area of the mech suit. "I´m gonna kill you, beast!" Alfons punched him on the face and aimed his laser weapon at him, but Slam thought fast and jumped at him, embracing him.

Slam growled with arrogance and conviction while tackling Alfons.

Lexi had taken Rev to a safer spot, an alleyway that was a few blocks away from the battle. "You sure you can hold on? Is a deep wound." Lexi told Rev, who was laying over the floor, resting his back against a wall.

Rev groaned. "Yes. They need your help, come for me when you get done with those guys."

Lexi hesitated for a long moment, then she nodded at him. "Alright. Just resist, okay?"

"I´ll be fine. Go." Rev said.

Ace was jumping and crouching continuously in order to avoid Uthman´s water shots and Landon´s waves of sound. "Two against one and you struggle?" Ace said mockingly while rushing towards Uthman, jumping and punching his face strongly, making him fall. He turned and crouched to dodge a shot from Landon then tackled him.

Alfons activated his comm after being punched by Slam, backing away from him. "Lydia, come and get us out of here!"

"Boss, we g..." Lydia got interrupted.

"Just come already!" Alfons replied with rage.

Lexi arrived, accelerating with her jetpack towards Halley, readying her fist. She approached him and punched him right on the snout, then landed over the ground while rubbing her fist. "You didn´t see that coming, huh?"

Ace threw a punch at Uthman, Landon got behind him with a quick rush and held him, cuffing his arms with his. "That´s a bad idea." Ace said and activated his laser vision then shot it at Landon´s elbow then rapidly shot again, this time at Uthman´s thigh.

"Gah! Dang it!" Landon exclaimed by the pain while rubbing his burned elbow.

Uthman was on his knees, gasping and groaning while checking his smoking wound. "You will pay for this, miserable..!"

The Chaos Warriors´ ship arrived, piloted by Lydia, medium sized, black colored with a 'C' and a 'W' inside a red circle. The sides of the ship were also painted red. She flew the ship down right behind Alfons, who hit Slam with the head of the mech suit, disorienting the big sized hero for a moment. "Retreat! Retreat!" Alfons hopped into the ship rapidly, followed by his crew, who rushed away from the heroes with shame, defeat and pain. They all got inside the ship, the ramp closed and then they flew away from the scene, leaving their loot.
