The breakfast of this nice little cafe was so yummy for the heroes and their bellies were full for the morning just getting the most important meal of the day. There was still so much to do in Paris, and the group didn't really know what else to do today since Paris is such that big of a city. Everyone didn't know what else to do now to do in Paris, though Sebastien asked if they wanted to see the catacombs with all the skulls and bones stacked up there going all the way back since as long as the catacombs were built a few centuries ago. Once more, the heroes all said no, because it sounded too scary for them and the fact that it might be haunted by some poor, unfortunate spirits. If Lucy was with them all in this trip, then maybe they would be less scared.
Despite Sebastien saying that they all had nothing to worry about, the kids still protested a little bit, even though they were heroes. Even heroes can get scared too, but they mostly don't show it so that they couldn't show weakness to the good citizens they protect and serve so they their morale doesn't get low. The last thing superheroes would want is the entire populace to go off in a panic like frightened hens, pigs, sheep, or turkeys during a thunderstorm
Sabre, and his copains told them that they would be there to make it less scary. "Nah, merci beaucoup, Sabre." Luna said. "But we don't really wanna go in there if Lucy ain't with us." Sebastien had to be content about it, and he also didn't want his son or friends to get nightmares from the catacombs. Besides, there was more than just the catacombs that would make Paris worth visiting. The doctor snapped his fingers with an idea, and he promptly declared that he and the gang should go to the famous, and remarkable Arc de Triomphe as their next destination. A place where the fallen during the World Wars are buried and given their respect, including an unknown soldier. The kids all happily agreed to that suggestion and they waited around for Arno's little van that he rented to come pick them up to take them to the landmark. While waiting, the kids got themselves a couple more people wanting autographs, from natives and tourists alike.
Once again, the kids were happy to make these people happy. "Here you go, monsieur." Lincoln said to a teen boy that looked like he was sixteen. "Glad to make you happy."
"Merci, Lincoln. I am glad you did zis for me. How can I repay a hero?"
"I think a thanks is gracious enough." Sam replied with a smile, signing a little girl's paper with her initial, along with a blue lightning bolt printed in a marker. "Take it easy, petite fille." she gave her the gun gesture with her right hand with a wink.
"Anything for a a cute fan." said Luna, signing a black-haired boy with a snowflake imprinted on it. She even gave the little boy a kiss on the forehead to show more niceness. "Au revoir, little dude." she did the same gesture as Sam did to the girl. As they enjoyed more autograph signing, the bus with Arno driving it arrived.
"Bienvenue." Arno sang, "Come on in." Everyone did just that, and they were on their way to the Arc de Triomphe. Just as when it was smooth sailing, something hard had hit the van, making it fall over a few times and crash into a nearby lamp post. No one was hurt and it was quite scary. It was like a large lightning bolt had hit it, or a white rhino from Zimbabwe appeared out of nowhere and rammed at the vehicle at full speed. No one was hurt, but scared and shocked at what just happened.
"Everyone out of the car, maintenant!" Adewale shouted. As everyone got out of the vehicle, they found themselves being held at gun point by a group of what appeared to be bandits with hoods and bandanas on their faced.
"Arret (Stop!)" said one of these men.
"Ne Bouge Pas! (Don't move!)" said another.
"Who are you?" asked Mason
"I think you might know who we are." the leader said. It was a tough-looking man with a hood and the same armor as his troops. They had wolves on their chest as insignias.
"Wait, Les Loups Enrages." Lincoln recognized
"Ah, smart boy." said a fourth soldier. The men all pulled them up by the arms, and surrounded the group of heroes. "Oui, we are Les Loups Enrages."
"What do you want?"
"We can say zat you have all been a thorn on our side for a while." said the ringleader. "And for zat, we must kill you all to prevent you from halting our plans."
"Plans?" Lincoln said.
"Everyone duck!" Mason shouted before the other heroes ducked on the ground and blasted a wave of fire in circles at the men, igniting them all like burning coals. Luna got up and did the same, blasting any incoming foes with her wide beams of ice. It certainly caught these men off-guard, and it gave Sebastien, the GIGN soldiers, and Americans enough time to get back up, and fight off these terrorists. Sabre, Leclerc, Paton, Adewale, and Chevalier were going all-out and firing their weapons at the enemies, for they can shoot their guns with their eyes closed.
Sam electrocuted countless Les Loups Enrages with her lightning powers, and even ruining their hair if powerful enough. Jesse would raise his hands at his opponents and blast beams of light at them in the face, torso, or legs. Not only that, but he also used his Earth powers to raise some cement from the ground, and hit a squad of seven of those thugs, knocking them radically off-course.
Lincoln used his beam sword and laser blaster at any charging Enrages trying to kill him. What caught him by surprise was that while firing his laser at some of them, he already ran out of plasma with his blaster. Quickly, he tried searching his pockets for any more ammo, but there wasn't any. He must have been having so much fun staying here in Paris, that he forgot about the plasma rods for his blaster back at the guest room. It looked like he was left with no other choice, but to fight his way in a melee form of combat. Alas, most of the thugs that were trying to kill him and the others were armed with firearms.
Still, he managed to slice at five or six of them with his beam sword, and he suddenly found himself with a large Enrages troop. "Nice toy, kid." he said, looking down on him. "Put that down before you poke your eyes out."
"Fat chance, monsieur!" Lincoln replied.
The man pulled out a saber and tried stabbing and piercing him with it. "En garde!" he said while laughing boastfully. "Thrust!"
Lincoln was caught off guard, and tripped backwards. This thug was about to finish him off, but Lincoln was fast, and rolled out of the way, kicking him in the face while getting back up. "En garde yourself!" he retorted.
He saw something fell out of Adewale's side, and it appeared to be his Manuhrin 93 magnum revolver. The GIGN member was so preoccupied with fighting off these brutes and defending the heroes that he didn't even look. Lincoln picked it up, and was about to give it back to him while hiding behind the damaged van, but he saw a sniper with a large sniper rifle aim his gun at Luna, who was still freezing as many bad guys as she could.
"Oh mon dieu!" Lincoln shouted, noticing the soldier before firing the magnum at his throat, ending the goon's life in a second. Adewale noticed this and he looked a little surprised.
"You had a gun with you, Lincoln?" he asked
"No. It fell out of your pocket, Adewale. But, I killed a guy trying to kill my sister. I'll give it back to you, right now."
"Actually, you should hold onto it a little longer." Adewale suggested
"Oui," said Chevalier. "There are still so many of those Enrages scoundrels!"
"Use it wisely, Lincoln!" Sabre said. "Be careful with it."
Lincoln nodded his head and used his gun to take down several more Les Loups Enrages soldiers. While fighting more and more of them, Jesse noticed this, and he said: "Wow, dog. You're good with that thing. You ever had a gun before?"
"I never used a gun like this before, Je- I mean- Meteor!" Lincoln replied.
"You have good aim." said Mason. "For a kid your age, you're handling that gun well."
"Merci beaucoup, but I prefer we save the small talk for after they are dealt with."
"Right you are, little brah!" Luna agreed. Many enemies were punched, kicked, sliced, burn, frozen, electrocuted, crushed, and shot and it was just then another squad of GIGN soldiers came to their aid with riot shields. In vain, the bad guys tried to fight off both sides, but they were overpowered (although one shielded GIGN soldier was shot in the leg by the leader).
Most of them were taken into custody and brought to interrogation, while some have been killed. The fight was over, and everyone needed to catch their breath. Many citizens came out from the buildings they were hiding in, including Arno, and they gathered around to see the heroes had won the fight. The crowd cheered for them and chanted their names like they were demigods. Luna was glad everyone was alright, including Lincoln, and she went up to him, who was still panting from all of that.
"Bon travaille, Lincoln. Bon travaille." Luna smiled, hugging him from behind.
"Thanks Luna. I hope we got them."
"We did." said Leclerc. "The fight is over."
"Oui, dieu merci (thank god)." Paton added. "That should be the last of zem."
"There was a guy about to shoot you with a sniper, Luna." Lincoln said. "But I caught him, and took him down." he looked at Adewale's Manuhrin 37 magnum again. He can hardly believe that he used such a magnificent weapon like this to take out someone from taking out his own sister. "This is very cool."
"Merci." said Adewale. "It was a gift for being one of the best members. Do your hands hurt?"
"well, they feel like they've been kicked by a donkey a little bit. Either that, or someone gave me so many hard high-fives."
"These revolvers are very powerful." said Chevalier.
"And the best revolvers in the whole world. You can even attach a scout like a little sniper rifle with zis."
"So don't worry if your hands feel a little warned out." said Adewale. "All that matters is that no one got hurt. And, I think you know what you should do with it now, mon ami." he smiled at the boy.
"What do you- Oh! Of course." Lincoln handed the solider his handgun. "Here you go. Besides, I still have my blaster and beam sword with me."
"Merci, merci." said Adewale, putting his revolver back into the holster.
"It was very impressive." said Leclerc. "How did you manage to use a gun like that perfectly so fast?"
"I've played a lot of zombie or shooting games in the arcade back home. Kinda made me feel like I was using a real gun."
"He is a hardcore gamer." said Mason.
"Yeah, you should see him on Dance Dance Resolution." Jesse added. "He's got some real skills."
"Well, bro, I would call you my rockin' hero." she hugged him to show some great appreciation and Lincoln was enjoying this moment. It looked so cute, sweet, and adorable.
"Is everyone alright?" Arno asked, coming up to the group
"Oui, we fought back and we gave it our all."
"You can say that again." Arno remarked. "You were all amazing fighters. I hope zis doesn't affect your trip here in Paris."
"No, of course not." said Sam. "That was still fun."
"Yeah, fighting bad guys, stopping them from causing mayhem." Luna added
"We are superheroes after all, and it's our job." Even more people went up to them and wanted autographs, but they were pushed away after beginning to crowd around them like an ant hill.
"Back up, back up!" Sabre said. "We're very sorry, but they are not accepting autographs at zis time. They need a time to catch their breath."
"Yeah, but we'll set up a desk for all of you to have autographs from us." Luna reminded.
"Well, what are we going to do about transportation?" asked Jesse. "That van is busted up, and will just go to the junkyard."
Sabre, and his fellow friends smiled boldly, and looked at one another. "Not to worry, mes amis." said Paton. "We have the perfect car for you all." a group of other GIGN soldiers went up to the heroes in a large vehicle that looked like one of those military jeeps, but bigger and more equipped.
"Wow. That is so awesome. Is that a tank?" asked Mason
"A combination of a tank and a jeep. Just came out a few months ago." Leclerc replied
"Dude, why isn't our country funding this?" Luna looked at it in amazement.
"This can get you anywhere you want under our control." said Sabre. "So come on in, and we'll get you a ride to the Arc de Triomphe as you want." he looked at the other GIGN soldiers, and he said: "The rest of you get back to your duties. We have everything under control."
"Oui, monsieur." the other soldiers nodded their heads before rolling out the streets. There was even a helicopter that picked up ten of these men like they were heading to war.
"Looks like we really need to keep our guard up." said Lincoln
"Absolutement." Chevalier agreed.
"We need to inform the president immediately." Adewale remarked. He did just that and made a phone-call to Macron about the whole attack that just happened. The president absolutely needed to know everything about what's going on right now. Everyone made it to the Arc de Triomphe, and they were amazed to see it in person up-close.
"Behold." said Sebastien. "Zis very landmark to honor the fallen French that gave their lives for their home." Everyone got inside, and looked at the many carvings of the dead soldiers from many generations. They looked at the whole place for almost an hour and when they were done, they went for a little drive around the neighborhood and they decided to go get some lunch together at a French cafe like they did on the first day. They had just a good of lunch as they had a good breakfast.
As usual, the heroes had escargot, and it was absolutely yummy. Then, Luna heard something in her ears, and followed it. "Luna, where are you going?" asked Mason
"I hear something Mason." Luna replied. "like... music." She followed where the sound was coming from and she had quite the ear for music. She can hear music from up to ten-thousand yards. Ultimately, she found herself in a very beautiful place called: "Theatre de la Madeleine." It was like rock or heavy metal music playing on the stage. There was a band of about three men performing together. One on guitar, the second on bass, and the third one drums. "Wow. That's so cool."
