Prompt: "That was unexpected."
A/N: And I went a little M again…oops.
Deeks came home from the bar to find the house seemingly quiet, an increasingly rare phenomenon these days, and, even more rare, empty. He made it as far as the kitchen when Kensi appeared on the stairs, wearing nothing but one of his dress shirts.
She had all but the middle two buttons undone and he swallowed harshly at the glimpses of tanned skin peeking through. His eyes ran down the long lines of her legs, lingering there for several moments before he managed to wrench his gaze back up.
"Um, where, where are the kids," he asked distractedly. Kensi grinned at him mischievously and started walking down the remaining stairs, her hips swaying hypnotically.
"My mom offered to take them to the water park for the afternoon and I figured we could make good use of the time," she said as she stopped at the bottom of the stairs, taunting him. "Of course if you don't want to…" She started to draw her right foot back up the first stair and he ran towards her yanking her against his chest.
Kensi's legs wrapped around his waist as he cupped the back of her head and kissed her firmly.
"Don't even think about putting on real clothes," he said and she grinned against his mouth. Somehow they made it into the living room, but not as far as the couch.
In between hurried kisses, Kensi yanked his shirt off and tossed it across the room. Her hands dropped to his pants and started yanking at the belt. In her desperation she overbalanced and she giggled as Deeks awkwardly lowered her to floor.
Deeks' pulse hammered in his ears as he hovered over Kensi. Her hair fanned wildly around her head and the second to last button on his shirt had popped open, giving him an enticing glimpse of her breasts. He slid the final button free and spread the material open slowly, trailing his fingers from her stomach to her sternum.
Kensi slipped her hand around his neck, her fingers curling in his hair, and she pulled him down against her. She ran her nose along his jaw and sighed quietly.
"Take your pants off," she whispered.
"Wow, that was, uh," Deeks said sometime later, pausing to pull in a ragged breath. "That was unexpected." He turned to Kensi, grinning at the sight of her laying in a similarly disheveled heap on the middle of their living room floor.
"I like to keep you on your toes," Kensi said, clumsily reaching out to run her fingers down his cheek. He looped an arm around her waist, pulling her into his side.
"It was the best welcome home I've had in a long time." Kensi giggled into his neck and then grabbed for something at her side.
"I'm not sure your shirt is going to make it though." She held up the wrinkled piece of fabric and he shrugged.
"Eh, it died a noble death," he replied, unconcerned. For all he cared right now, she could set every shirt he owned on fire.
"You are such an idiot," Kensi said fondly, leaning over to kiss him again. The kiss started out lazy, but quickly grew more intense until they were interrupted by an incessant beeping. "Damn," she murmured, pulling away reluctantly.
"What?"
"We have 20 minutes to get presentable before the kids get back."
"Damn," Deeks echoed sadly. He sighed, kissed Kensi one more time, and got to his feet, offering her his hand. "Too bad we can't finish this with a shower."
Kensi's eyes darkened again and her grip on his hand tightened.
"I'll tell mom to take the kids for ice cream," she decided rashly, reaching for the phone and giving Deeks a shove towards the stairs. "You start the shower."
