SmackDown Filming: November 13, 2012

I grin at Randy as he walks into the locker-room. "Hey, handsome. What do you have tonight?"

Randy rolls his eyes. "I'm teaming with Miz. I'm not thrilled."

"Yeah, that doesn't sound fun. Who are you facing?"

"We're facing Ziggler and Del Rio."

"I'm sure you'll get through it. You're both gonna be on Team Foley this Sunday anyway."

"I'm aware. Mick is lucky that I like him because I can't stand the majority of people on that team. I only like one of my teammates at this point."

"I'm gonna assume that's Kofi."

"It is Kofi. Kane and I had issues around WrestleMania time. Miz and Daniel are situations that you already know that I don't need to explain."

"I'm well aware. I'm sure you'll figure it out though, Randy. You always do."

Randy pulled me to him. "I know. How are you feeling tonight?"

"Tired as always, but I still feel pretty good. Why?"

"Would you want to manage me tonight? It'll make things a bit easier on me."

"I can go, babe. I want to be there for you."

Randy kissed my forehead. "Thanks, Rissa. You're great."

"I know. By the way, the girls and I are going to spend all day Saturday together, so don't expect to see me much then."

"I won't. I'll know where you are, so I'm not gonna worry."

"You shouldn't have a need to worry." I look at my phone as it starts to ring. "It's Colby. Let me answer this."

I answered the phone call.

Colby: "Hey."

Me: "Hey, what's up?"

Colby: "Well, I wasn't sure if you heard yet, but I did invite Tyler and Lauren to come to Survivor Series on Sunday. I did invite Kenny as well.

I just thought you should know."

Me: "I heard already, but I want to know why you didn't tell me that you were coming to Survivor Series. I'm going to be at work, and this is something you should've told me sooner."

Colby: "Sorry, I figured you knew already. You always seem to know everything at work."

Me: "Why are you going to be at Survivor Series?"

Colby: "I got told by higher-ups to be there. I don't know why, but I'm going. Anyway, we should hang out since we're both going to be there. Let's go out after the show or something."

Me: "Okay, we can do that."

Colby: "Okay, I'll let you go now. I know that you're at the SmackDown filming right now."

Me: "Oh okay. Bye."

Colby: "Bye."

Randy looks at me. "Is everything alright?"

I nod. "Yeah, Colby wants to go out after Survivor Series. You need to go with me."

"I will."

"Thanks." I reply as I hear a knock on our door. "Are you expecting someone?"

"No…I'll get the door." Randy opens the door. "What are you doing here?"

"We have a Tag Team match tonight." Miz replies from the other side of the door. "I figured you'd want to make a strategy."

Randy sighs. "Come in."

Miz walks in and closes the door behind him. "Hey, Marissa."

"Hey." I reply before looking at Randy. "I think I'm gonna go…"

Randy gives me a serious look. "You said that you were going to ringside with me. You should probably stay."

I sigh. "Alright."

"Actually," Miz says. "I did want to discuss some things before talking about this Tag Team match. One of which is directly to you, Marissa."

I give Miz a weird look. "Okay…"

"Were you the one who granted DJ her release?"

"Uh…yeah, why?"

"Thank you. I was a bit upset that she asked for it because I think it's because of me, but I want her to be happy. I just want to thank you for giving her that."

"No problem."

"Anyway, I also wanted to apologize to you two about what happened a while back. We all know exactly what I'm talking about. I'm sorry, and I intend on apologizing to Maryse whenever I can. I've also already apologized to Eve."

Randy gives Miz a sceptical look. "I'll forgive you for that when you get around to apologizing to Maryse, but I'm still not going to like you."

"I understand."

"The same goes for me." I answer.

"Again, I understand. Now, let's talk about that Tag Team match."

I hear voices in my head

They council me

They understand

They talk to me…

"And his partner, being accompanied to the ring by Marissa, from Saint Louis, Missouri, weighing in at 245 pounds, he is the Apex Predator, Randy Orton!"

Ding! Ding! Ding!

Miz and Del Rio start the match off. Del Rio grabs Miz's arm and starts twisting it. Miz punches Del Rio, but Del Rio headbutts Miz and gets him into a corner. Del Rio runs at Miz, but Miz tosses him out of the ring.

Ricardo Rodriguez goes to check on Del Rio as Randy reaches out in hope of a tag. Ricardo gets Del Rio back in the ring just as Miz tags in Randy.

Randy hits Del Rio with a couple Clotheslines before knocking Dolph off of the apron. Randy hits Del Rio with a Scoop Slam. Dolph runs in the ring before Randy catches him with a Scoop Slam as well. Del Rio rolls to the apron. Randy grabs Del Rio and hits him with a Draping DDT. Randy starts to taunt to the crowd, but Miz tags himself in.

Randy and I exchange annoyed looks as Miz hits Del Rio with a Skull Crushing Finale and pins him.

1…2…3!

"Here are your winners, Randy Orton and the Miz!"

Miz celebrates in the ring, but Randy doesn't move to celebrate with him. Miz looks at Randy and yells at him for a few before going back to celebrating.

Randy stands in the ring and looks at me as Miz celebrates. "Stay back."

I nod. "Alright."

Miz approaches Randy as he continues to celebrate. Randy catches Miz with the RKO.

Randy looked at me as we sat on our tour bus. "I'm still not happy with this match at Survivor Series."

I smile at him. "I know, but you always make it work."

"I do always make it work, Marissa. You're right about that."

"I know. I'm right about that."

Randy nods. "I'll be fine. You're so amazing."

"Thanks, handsome. I'm gonna read a letter."

"Okay, you do that. Are you going to come with me to my match on Sunday at Survivor Series?"

"Yeah, I'll come with you, Randy." I open the letter numbered thirty-nine.

Date: September 22, 2005

Dear Marissa, today is Tyler's twenty-fifth birthday. He still hasn't spoken to me, and I don't blame him. He shouldn't have to. I just wish he would.

I've had my fair share of issues, and I'm sorry about that. I want all three of you kids to do better than I have. The only thing that I ask is for you three kids not to let anything get between you three.

Love, Mom

I put my letter down before looking at Randy. "That sure was something."

"Are you good?"

"Yeah, I'm going to go to bed now."

Randy smiles before kissing my forehead. "Okay, I think I will too. Goodnight, Marissa."

I climb into bed with Randy. "Goodnight, Randy."
