Episode 364: A Full Course Tag Battle!
Last time, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and the Digimon all entered the Pokémon Center close to Lake Valor as they met Lisia and the Alolan eight. The Alolan eight were happy to see their friends again and introduced the Digimon to them. Dawn has shown up and says she'll be taking part of the Wallace Cup. Lisia led Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel to where her uncle is. The Alolan eight went to look for their friends when they learned Wallace was close enough. Wallace was impressed by the skills of Dawn and Kiawe and suggested that he takes part of the Wallace Cup along with Dawn. Before long, Illima, Mallow, Lana, Sophocles, Mina, Acerola, and Hapu all decide to take part of the Wallace Cup. Lucas has shown up and he met their old freinds. So now here we are when Sora and Kairi are getting a call from Snowpoint City. And it is Lillie, Brendan, and May who are making contact with them.
And this is the point we enter in. Sora and Kairi get to the phone and they answer.
"Hello this is Sora and Kairi. Who is it that's calling us?" Sora asked. He got his answer when Lillie, Brendan, and May on the screen.
"Hey there, Sora. Haven't seen you since we took out Team Rocket," Brendan said.
"Brendan! May! I don't believe it!" Sora exclaimed.
"It's been a long time!" Kairi said.
"Same," May said.
"And you too, Lillie. I thought you were in the Galar region!" Sora said.
"Well, I came here to Snowpoint City and met up with Brendan and May and we caught up with each other," Lillie said.
"And I'm going to guess you'll be showing up here, right?' Sora asked.
"Yeah. We thought we drop in and see how you're doing! Also Ven, Terra, Aqua, Riku, and Naminé!" Brendan said. "And meet those friends of yours." The couple knew he was referring to the Digimon. "Lillie filled us in on the situation and after that inter dimensional business you had, nothing really surprises us."
"And I think it's awful when something like that is going on in their home," May added.
"We do too," Kairi said.
"Anyway, where do you want us to meet you?" Sora asked.
"We were thinking that we meet you in Port Valor," Lillie said.
"Great! I'm sure everyone will be happy to see you!" Sora said.
"I hope so too! We'll see you there!" Lillie said.
"You too!" Kairi said.
"Have a safe journey," Sora said. Both parties hung up and they smiled. "Man, Lillie's coming. And not only that, but Brendan and May are coming too!"
"I know! This is an unexpected surprise!" Kairi said.
The couple went back to their friends and told them who they just got off the phone with. The Alolan eight weren't surprised to hear Lillie was coming along, but also they're going to meet Brendan and May in person.
"We're finally going to meet Brendan and May!" Lana beamed.
"I know, right? This is unbelievable!" Mallow said.
"I don't think we met Lillie. Isn't she another on of your former classmates, Riku?" Gaomon asked.
"She is. She's the daughter of Lusamine, the president of the Aether Foundation in Alola," Riku said.
"I remember you mentioned she used to be afraid to touch Pokémon," Lopmon said.
"After an incident with what you call an Ultra Beast," Renamon said. Lucas and Dawn blinked twice.
"What's an Ultra Beast?" Dawn asked.
"I think I heard of those. They're those strange Pokémon that appeared in the Johto region, aren't they?" Lucas asked.
"Yeah," Mina said.
"We know all about them because we dealt with them," Sora said.
"They were showing up from Ultra Wormholes and they were causing all sorts of trouble," Acerola said.
"I remember that one Ultra Beast, Guzzlord if I remember right," Aqua said.
"You hit the nail on the head there, Aqua. That one was really scary," Sophocles said.
"And it turns out to be the same Guzzlord we faced when me, Kairi, and our Pokémon were in Earthland. We were able to send it back to Ultra Space even when Bart was trying to catch it. Also, we came back here safely while Twilight and her friends went back home in Equestria and the Ninja Turtles went back to their Earth," Sora said.
"I still find it hard to believe you actually went into different worlds," Lucas said. "But it's pretty awesome when you think about it."
"Yeah, it is when you're saving it from a bad of evil villains who were partnering up with Team Rocket," Riku said.
"And that was after I helped take them down after leaving me, Jessie, and James to rot," Meowth said.
"It was very awful of them to do such a thing," Mallow said.
"I was shocked when I heard you switched sides," Hapu said. "Speaking of Jessie and James, I was shocked when I heard they were still alive. They pulled the same stunt as Kairi's parents when Jakira led them into a trap."
"Jakira's the one whose dead, so it doesn't matter anymore," Riku said.
"Sounds like they're someone Myotismon would get along with well," Agumon said.
"So, where does Lillie, Brendan, and May want us to meet them?" Ventus asked.
"They said they'll be coming to Port Valor. That's where we;ll meet them," Sora said. With that said, the whole group nodded as they knew where to meet them. Over in Snowpoint City, two Pokémon were wondering through the tundra and they climbed aboard the ship, departing for Lake Valor. One of them is a Glaceon. The other is a Pokémon that look like snow-covered trees. On the top of the Pokémon's head is a cap of hair that has the shape of the mountains it resides in. The arms are white with green at the end. It has four fingers on each hand. On its back are mountain-like appendages that also represent its habitat. Its body is mainly split into three segments. It has have one segment with snow and two with bark. This Pokémon is known as a Snover. Lillie, Brendan, and May were boarding on the same ship. They were all carrying bags with them. They appear to be souvenirs.
"Oh, I can't wait to see Sora and Kairi again!" May said.
"And not only that, but Riku, Naminé, Ven, Terra, and Aqua too!" Brendan said.
"I'm sure they'll love the gifts we brought them," May said.
"Speaking of which, May," Brendan said, taking out a necklace that looks like a Torchic's face. May was moved by Brendan's surprise.
"Brendan, it's cute!" May cooed. He places it on May.
"You like it?" Brendan asked.
"I love it," May said. She gave Brendan a kiss on the lips. He kisses her back. Lillie was smiling since it reminded her so much as Sora and Kairi. She always liked seeing them kiss despite seeing the very first one they had.
"Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, I'll be very happy to see you," Lillie said.
Over to Port Valor, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Lucas, Dawn, Lisia, the Alolan eight, Pikachu, Eevee, Azurill, Angel, Meowth, and the Digimon were waiting for Lillie, Brendan, and May to show up.
"I'm getting so giddy! We'll be meeting Lillie again!" Biyomon said.
"And we get to meet the trainers from Hoenn too!" Palmon said.
"You think they could have presents for us?" Gomamon asked.
"I hope so. And I hope it's something yummy," Armadillomon said.
"Me too! It's always nice to have something yummy to eat," Veemon said.
"I doubt that they'll bring that with them," Salamon said.
"Beautifly!" A voice chirped. They saw a Beautifly fly right towards them.
"A Beautifly!" Ventus said.
"So pretty," Wormmon said in awe.
"I think we know this Beautifly," Sora said as she lands on Kairi's head. The ship was heading their way.
"The ship's coming!" Sophocles said. Lillie, Brendan, and May wave to their friends.
"Yoo-hoo! Long time no see!" May called out to them.
"May!" Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, and Lisia called out to her. The ship arrives on schedule as the passengers aboard depart. The Glaceon and Snover gets off at a different spot.
"Sora! Look at you!" Brendan said, giving him a high-five. "And Pikachu too!"
"I can see you're still working hard," Sora said.
"Yeah," Brendan said. He looked right at Sora's cousin. "Hey, Ven! Good to see you, kiddo!"
"Hey, Brendan!" Ventus said.
"Lisia, I wasn't expecting to see you here," May said.
"Surprise," Lisia said. Lillie was surprised to see her friends from Alola.
"When did you get here?" Lillie asked.
"We tagged along with Lisia," Kiawe said.
"Yeah," Mina said. Lillie turned to the Hoenn couple.
"Brendan, May, these are the friends I told you about. Meet, Illima, Mallow, Lana, Kiawe, Sophocles, Mina, Acerola, and Hapu," Lillie introduced.
"Pleased to meet you," May said.
"Back at you," Sophocles said.
"May and I heard so much about you," Brendan said.
"We saw you both on TV," Acerola said.
"You were both impressive," Illima said.
"Thanks," Brendan said. "And who are they?" Brendan pointed to the Digimon.
"Right. Brendan, May, meet our friends from the Digital World. Agumon, Gabumon, Tentomon, Biyomon, Palmon, Gomamon, Veemon, Patamon, Salamon, Wormmon, Hawkmon, Armadillomon, Guilmon, Renamon, Terriermon, Lopmon, Gaomon, and Lalamon," Kairi introduced.
"Lillie already knew most of them," Sora said.
"Wait, where's Gatomon?" Lillie asked.
"That's me, Lillie," Salamon said. Lillie was stunned to hear that Salamon and Gatomon are the same. "This is my Rookie level. I used up some energy in a brutal battle with some bad Digimon." The group did remember how the fight with AxeKnightmon, Lucemon, and the RoyalKnights were tiring. The same thing with the man who wanted Riolu and Hunter J. But it was fortunate that they had some help.
"Wow, and I thought you were cute before," Lillie said.
"I know," Salamon said.
"We know about your situation at home," May said. "Lillie told us all about it."
"It's pretty bad when you put it that way, but we're hoping for the best," Armadillomon said.
"Enough about that. How about we get to know each other!" Gabumon said.
"Gabumon's right. We don't wanna bring up sad stuff on a happy occasion!" Agumon said.
"Good call, Agumon. We got something special for you!" May said, holding some bags to their friends. Sora and Kairi got a matching sweaters. They tried them on and they saw that one loves the other, but with heart between I and the name. Sora's says: 'I heart Kairi' while Kairi's says: 'I heart Sora'. They loved them. The I's on the both of them had hearts as the dots.
"These are great!" Sora said.
"We love them!" Kairi said.
"It was May who came up with it. She thought it was a cute idea. But not as cute as you, May," Brendan cooed. May blushes.
"Thank you, sweetheart," May said, giving her boyfriend a kiss on the cheek. "And now here's something for the rest of you." Ventus got a wooden carving of an Eevee as Aqua got a carving of a Vaporeon, and Terra got a carving of a Flareon. Pikachu and Angel got sweaters similar to Sora and Kairi, but fits them. Pikachu's reads 'I heart Angel' while Angel's read 'I heart Pikachu' and they both had hearts doting the I's and a heilo over the A in Angel's name. Meowth got himself some polish for his charm.
"Nice!" Meowth said.
"These gifts are awesome! Thanks!" Ventus said.
"You're welcome, Ven," May said. She and Brendan set their attention on Lucas and Dawn. "You must be Lucas and Dawn. It's nice to meet you!"
"Nice to meet you," Dawn said. "They call you the Princess of Hoenn, right?" May blushes.
"Stop! You're making me blush! Call me, May, okay?" May asked.
"Looks liek we have Wallace to thanks for seeing you three again," Kairi said.
"Yeah. Where are Elio and Selene?" Sora asked.
"They went back to Alola. Professor Redwood was amazed to hear about the Digital World since that's where Porygon and its evolved forms all love," Lillie said.
"Are you competeing in the Wallace Cup, May?" Terra asked.
"Yeah! I've been waiting to do this for such a long time! And as soon Brendan and I heard it was going to be in Sinnoh, we came here as fast as we could," May said.
"I thought it would be a good experince for the both id us to come here together. Also, my dad wanted me to keep my eye open for any Pokémon living in Sinnoh, because he's been interested in them. The same for the ones in Unova and Kalos since there are Pokémon there that can't be found there like a Darmanitan," Brendan said. The group went for a wallk to catch up with some time. Sora and Kairi told them about their multiverse experince after taking down Team Rocket and then, heading into worlds like the Mushroom Kingdom and in Hyrule. And even seeing Ash and meeting the May of his world.
"Wow, you guys must have some exciting adventures," Brendan said.
"Yeah. Kairi and I decided that we were still aching for some more adventure after we said goodbye to our inter dimensional friends. And I can already imagine the business in Dingodile's diner spiking up business," Sora said.
"That's a good reason to be here," Brendan said.
"So, how's Wally?" Kairi asked.
"Wally's doing okay. He's spending most of his time with his family," Brendan said.
"And how about Drew?" Kairi asked.
"He was adjusting to me and Brendan being a couple, but he got used to it after a while," May said.
"And what about Harley?" Kairi asked.
"Still at the mental hospital. His brain is still fried from what happened to him. Not sure what," Brendan said. Sora and Kairi knew it had something to do with N. Brio doing something to him when they were on Mobius.
"And what about Max? What's he up to?" Ventus asked.
"Max?" Agumon asked.
"He's May's little brother?" Lisia said.
"He's doing great. He's hard at work, taking care of my dad's Pokémon. Max is always talking about doing it just like Kairi taught him. Needless to say, my dad's as proud as he can be," May said. Kairi smiled to hear Max is doing so good.
"Speaking of which, how did your dad take you and Brendan dating?" Riku asked.
"My dad was surprised at first. But since he and Professor Birch are such good friend, he was happy to hear that he's my boyfriend. Also, he knew about me having a crush on him when we were little," May said.
"Professor Birch? Who's he?" Lucas asked.
"He's my dad. Also, he gave me and May our starter Pokémon," Brendan said.
"Just glad to know Norman approves," Sora said.
"Pika, Pika," Pikachu said.
"Anyway, when did you three arrive in Sinnoh?" Dawn asked.
"Just three days ago," May answered.
"There was something May really wanted to do before the Wallace Cup got started," Brendan said.
"And that's when I met them in Snowpoint City," Lillie said.
"So, what did you do?" Armadillomon asked. May took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"I'll show you! Now! Glaceon! On Stage!" May called out as her Glaceon came out.
"You have a Glaceon! So cool! No pun intended," Ventus said.
"Thanks you, Ven," May said.
"May had him as an Eevee. I thought of evolving Eevee into a Glaceon with an Ice Stone, but she insisted on taking her Eevee into an ice cave in Snowpoint City," Brendan said.
"Just what are you up to?" Kairi asked.
"Brendan and I were traveling all over the Kingdom of Orre, participating in Pokémon Contests and tournaments that the kingdom holds year after year," May said.
"It's called the Orre Colosseum challenge. There are towns and villages there that has places that are similar to the Gyms and the Colosseum challenge is similar to the Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn Pokémon Leagues. Prince Wes explained that I have to gather eight Crests before I can qualify for the Orre Colosseum challenge," Brendan said.
"How many of these Crests do you have?" Terra asked. Brendan shows that he has four. One is red and has a fist. Another is black and has a cresent shape. Another is purple with a skull and crossbones, and the fourth one is whitish blue with a snowflake.
"Four," Brendan said. "The places I went to were for Fighting, Dark, Poison, and Ice. There's challenges for each Type."
"That also sounds like the Island Trails in Alola," Riku said.
"It does," May said.
"How many ribbons did you win?" Aqua asked.
"So far, I won three," May said. She shows them the Contest Ribbons she won.
"Nice! I can bet that the Grand Festival there will be amazing," Naminé said.
"It is. We were told that the Orre royal family attends them every year," May said.
"Nice work," Dawn said.
"What about you, Sora? I heard from Lillie that you're going to take part of the Sinnoh Pokémon League. How many Gym Badges do you have by now?" Brendan asked.
"I got four," Sora said, showing them the Gym Badges he won. "The Coal Badge, the Foret Badge, the Relic Badge, and the Cobble Badge. We were on our way to Pastoria City when we heard about the Wallace Cup."
"And what about you, Kairi? How many Contest Ribbons do you have?" May asked.
"I have three," Kairi shows the Hoenn couple her Ribbons. "I only need two more."
"Anyway, since we're here, I thought maybe we can do a triple date. You and Sora joinging me and Brendan for lunch," May offered.
"It's a deal," Kairi said.
"Wait, you said, triple. That's us and you two," Sora pointed out.
"Right. You two, and these two," May said, pointing at Lucas and Dawn. They looked at each other and they blushed. "There's this great resturant I wanna try out as soon as we got here. So, I made a reservation to the perfect place."
"We been going on so many dates, May's been dragging me everywhere to sotres and resturants. We even been to some movies together sometimes. And she picks them," Brendan said.
"It's only the most popular place in Valor Lakefront," May stated.
"You sure it's okay for us to come along, May? Lucas and I aren't even a couple," Dawn said, blushing.
"But since you went through the trouble to invite us, May, then we'll be more than happy to join you four," Lucas said.
"Thanks for inviting us, May," Sora said.
"It's the least I can do," May said.
"You six have your fun at your outing. The rest of us will be at the Pokémon Center playing catch up," Riku said.
"You sure, Riku?" Kairi asked.
"It's fine, Kairi. Riku just doesn't fit in to resturants like the one May recommended," Naminé said.
"I don't do well I look stupid in a fancy suit," Riku said.
"No, I can bet you're going to look handsome in a fancy suit," Naminé said.
"Azu, Azu," Azurill chirped.
"We'll see you guys later," Wormmon said.
"And try to bring us some leftovers," Guilmon said.
"Guilmon!" The rest of the Digimon all said.
"I just want leftovers," Guilmon said.
"Don't be a glutton! That goes to you too, Armadillomon!" Gabumon said.
"What I do?" Armadillomon asked.
Riku, Naminé, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, the Alolan nine, Eevee, Azurill, Meowth, and the Digimon went back to the Pokémon Center.
Upon arriving at the Pokémon Center, Lillie heard that the Alolan eight were competing in the Wallace Cup.
"What?! You're entering the Wallace Cup?" Lillie asked.
"Yeah. Wallace was very impressed by Marowak and Kiawe, he thought it'll be best if he took part of it. So, that's when we decided to take part of it too," Illima said.
"Is Riku competing too?" Lillie asked.
"No. I'm not a Coordinator," Riku said.
"But since all we can do is cheer you all on," Naminé said.
"Say, Lillie, you should be a part of it too!" Lana said.
"Illima and the rest had already registered and the registrations are still open," Tentomon said.
"He's right. There's still time before the Wallace Cup officially starts," Wormmon said.
"Yeah," Mina said.
"Besides, it'll be fun," Sophocles said. Lillie saw how true it was and she decided to go for it.
"Okay. You all talked me into it. I'll go register to compete," Lillie said. With that matter settled, Lillie has decided to take part of the Wallace Cup.
Over to the resturant, the Hoenn couple led their friends to the restaurant she told them about.
"This is the place?" Lucas asked.
"Yep," Brendan said.
"Wow, seven stars! This place must be good!" Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"It's only the hottest place to eat in the whole Sinnoh region," May said.
"Wow, May, I'm impressed," Dawn said.
"May's always had a nose for finding great places like this," Brendan said.
"I'm glad we got to come here. Riku and Naminé are going to be sorry that they missed this opportunity," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
Sora, Kairi, Brendan, May, Lucas, Dawn, Pikachu, and Angel enters inside the resturant with a bust boy standing in front of two doors.
"Welcome, ladies and gentlemen," the bust boy said, bowing his head.
"Reservations for Brendan and May?" May asked.
"Yes, of course. We've been waiting for you, Miss May. You have a reservation for six. Please, right this way," the bust boy said. He led the party of six (eight if you count the Pokémon) inside the resturant. A customer comes right out. "You're leaving?"
"I'm gonna go back out and train some more, but I'm gonna eat here if it's the last thing I do!" The cutomer said.
"Then we'll be waiting to serve you at another time," the bust boy said, bowing his head.
"I won't forget this!" The customer said, running out to train.
"What was that about?" Dawn asked.
"That young man lost his battle, so of course he wasn't accepted at our establishment," the bust boy explained.
"Battle?" Sora asked.
"Come with me and I'll explain," the bust boy said. He opened the door and saw there was a battlefield inside. Standing at the opposite side is a couple.
"It's a battlefield!" Lucas exclaimed.
"I thought it was a resturant!" Kairi said.
"So did I!" Dawn said.
"You see, besides being a wealthy and successful businessman, the owner of the Seven Stars resturant is an avid battle fan as well. As a result, only those who battle against him and his fiancée and emerge vitoriously are allowed to dine her," the bust boy explained.
"That means if we lose..." Sora said.
"Yes, you will be leaving here with empty stomachs just like the last gentleman did," the bust boy said.
"Oh boy," Lucas said.
"That's rough," Dawn said.
"Nah, I think it's great," May said.
"I know we'll be doing great," Brendan said.
"I'm game on eating here if you are, Sora," Kairi said.
"Anytime, Kairi," Sora said.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu said.
"Eevee!" Angel said.
They hear doors opening and a pair were leaving with a waiter and waitress bowing their heads.
"Those customers were successful in their battle and have just completed a free full-course meal," the bust boy said.
"Riku will really be sorry that he missed this chance to dine with Naminé," Sora said.
"When those doors opened, I smelled the yummiest aroma ever!" May said. Brendan laughed.
"You're really cute when you get all giddy like this," Brendan said, making May blush.
"So, we'll have to win and eat!" Sora said. The couple looked right at the group.
"You must be our next customers then," the woman said.
"Welcome to the Seven Stars Resturant. My name is Roman and I'm a resturanteur who prides himself on the finest cuisine," Roman said.
"And, my name is Kylie. I've spared no expense in providing only the finest décor and ambience," Kylie added.
"So shall we proceed two at a time with a tag battle then?" The bust boy asked.
"Sounds like a plan," Sora said.
"Sora, Kairi, why don't you go in first?" Brendan asked.
"Sure," Sora said.
"We'll give it our all," Kairi said. Sora and Kairi stood on the battlefield as a waiter is acting as the battle's referee.
"Please select your Pokémon!" The waiter said. Sora and Kairi looked at Pikachu and Angel.
"Pikachu! Go right in!" Sora said.
"You're up, Angel!" Kairi said.
"Pika!" Pikachu said.
"Vee!" Angel said.
The Pokémon couple went on the battlefield at the same time.
"Ooh, nice Pokémon!" Roman complimented.
"I think that Eevee is adorabe with that ribbon it's wearing," Kylie said. Roman and Kylie both took out a Pokéball each and threw it.
"Snorlax!" Roman called out.
"You come on out too, Munchlax!" Kylie called out as Munchlax and Snorlax came out at the same time.
"I would suggest in order to expedite our battle that we launch our moves at the same time!" Roman said.
"Sounds good to us," Kairi said.
"I understand. Battle begin!" The waiter called out.
"Snorlax! Mega Punch!" Roman ordered.
"Pikachu! Volt Tackle!" Sora called out.
"Munchlax! Body Slam!" Kylie ordered.
"Angel! Headbutt!" Kairi ordered.
The four Pokémon launched their attacks at the same time. Munchlax came at Angel with Body Slam. Angel's Headbutt knocks Munchlax back as Snorlax misses Pikachu and lands a hit onto the sleeping Pokémon. Both of Snorlax and Munchlax were taken down with one hit.
"So! Snorlax and Munchlax are unable to battle! Pikachu and Eevee are the winners! Victory goes to the customers!" The waiter announced.
"What?!" Roman exclaimed in shock.
"No! not my Munchlax!" Kylie cried.
"Way to go!" Brendan praised Sora and Kairi.
"Thanks!" Sora said.
"The winners are welcome to go inside and being ordering," Roman said.
"Thanks, but we're on a triple date," Kairi said.
"In other words, it's all or nothing," Sora added.
"That is so sweet. I always get so giddy to see such darling couples on a romantic outing," Kylie said. Brendan and May enrtered next to their battle. Brendan looked right at May and she looked right back at him. They both nod.
"Let's go!" Brendan and May said, taking out a Pokéball each and threw it.
"Go! Sceptile!" Brendan called out.
"Take the stage, Blaziken!" May called out.
Both of the Hoenn couple's Pokémon came on out and they were rearing to go.
"Hey, May's Combusken evolved!" Sora said.
"It must been have been after we took down Team Rocket," Kairi said. Roman and Kylie each took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go forth, Infernape!" Roman called out as a bipedal, primate-like Pokémonthat is primarily reddish-brown with sections of white fur on its chest, head, and lower legs. Several gold markings adorn its body: swirled, circular ones on its knees and shoulders flame-shaped ones on the back of its hands, and a stripe around its back that forms two swirls on its chest. On top of its head is a large flame, which is never extinguished. Infernape has an orange, rounded muzzle, long, round ears with blue inside, and a red ridge over its eyes. The eyes themselves are blue with yellow sclerae. There are five blue digits on both its feet and hands, and it has a long tail. This quick Pokémon practices a unique kind of martial art that involves all of its limbs.
"I choose you, Cufant!" Kylie called out as her Cufant entered the battlefield. Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned Roman's Pokémon.

"Very well. Battle begin!" The waiter called out.
"Infernape! Use your Fire Punch!" Roman ordered.
"Sceptile! Dragon Claw!" Brendan ordered.
"Cufant! Zen Headbutt!" Kylie ordered.
"Blaziken! Blaze Kick!" May ordered.
The four Pokémon charges right at each other to land a hit. Infernape misses and Sceptile slashes right at Infernape as Cufant misses and lands a feiry kick onto Cufant.
"High Horsepower!" Kylie ordered.
"Close Combat!" Roman ordered.
"Frenzy Plant!" Brendan ordered.
"Blast Burn!" May ordered.
Sceptile slams his fist into the ground and makes giant roots come out of the ground and strike Infernape on the spot. Blaziken has forms a big ball of red-orange fire in front of his beak, and then launches a giant red-orange flame from it at. Cufant got struck by Blaziken's Blast burn. Infernape and Cufant both had gotten knocked out.
"Infernape and Cufant are both unable to battle! Sceptile and Blaziken wins! The customers wins the battle!" The waiter announced.
"Not again!" Roman groaned.
"Oh my poor Cufant!" Kylie cried. Brendan and May embrace each other for their win.
"Your turn," Brendan said.
"Good luck, you two," May said.
"Thanks," Lucas said. He turned to his crush. "You ready, Dawn?"
"Yeah," Dawn said. Both of Lucas and Dawn took out a Pokéball and threw it. "Piplup! Spotlight!" Piplup came on out to battle.
"Go! Grotle!" Lucas called out.
Both of Grotle and Piplup came on out to battle. Roman and Kylie did the same thing.
"Go! Girafarig!" Roman called out.
"I choose you, Drifloon!" Kylie called out.
"Girafarig, use Crunch!" Roman ordered.
"Drifloon! Use Contrict!" Kylie ordered.
"Grotle! use Razor Leaf!" Lucas ordered.
"Piplup! Use Bubble Beam!" Dawn ordered.
All four of the battling Pokémon launched their attacks at each other. Drifloon spins around and grabs Piplup. Grotle's Razor Leaf heas for the long neck Pokémon, but dodges with ease as Girafarig's head tail comes at Grotle and lands a Crunch on Grotle's leg. Piplup struggles to get out of Drifloon's grip.
"Pretty good, wouldn't you say?" Roman asked.
"Escaping my darling Drifloon's Contrict's tricky," Kylie said.
"We'll see! Piplup! Use Whirlpool!" Dawn ordered. Piplup forms a whirlpool right at the balloon Pokémon, letting go of Piplup and getting sucked in.
"My dear Drifloon!" Kylie gasped. Girafarig also got caught in the whirlpool as well. Piplup held Whirlpool until it vaporates.
"Girafarig!" Roman gasped.
"Drifloon, darling!" Kylie also gasped.
"Okay, Grotle! Razor Leaf!" Lucas ordered.
"Use Bubble Beam!" Dawn ordered.
Both of Grotle and Piplup unleashed their attacks as Roman and Kylie's Pokémon were caught in the whirlpool and fell on the ground beaten.
"No!" Roman and Kylie gasped.
"Girafarig and Drifloon are both unable to battle! Grotle and Piplup wins! The customers wins the battle!" The waiter announced.
"That was awesome, Lucas!" Dawn said.
"Thanks, Dawn! not as awesome as you are," Lucas said. Dawn blushed as she smiled. She gave him a hug much to his surprise. He hugs her right back. Roman and Kylie both smiled at the sight of them hugging. Sora, Kairi, Brendan, May, Pikachu, and Angel also smiled.
"Those were wonderful battles," Roman said.
"Those were intense competitions we've rarely experianced!" Kylie added.
With that said, they went in to have their lunch. It was so nice to have a meal in a resturant like this one as they ate what they ordered. Lucas and Dawn were happy to experience it for themselves. They felt envious that they were at the same table as Sora, Kairi, Brendan, and May. Lucas brought up that he watched the final battle of the Hoenn Pokémon League on TV and he was especially impressed with his Sceptile. Brendan complimented him and his Grotle, especially that he raised him so well. After the lunch was over, they returned to the Pokémon Center as Lillie had announced she was entering the Wallace Cup as well.
"Lillie's in too?" May asked.
"Yes. Everyone suggested that I take part of it too. Just to make it more fun," Lillie said.
"It's too bad that you're not competing in it, Kairi, but we hope you'll enjoy it," Kiawe said.
"Well, don't expect me to show any favortisms to you just because we're friends. Right Sora?" Kairi asked, looking right her boyfriend.
"Right," Sora agreed. Everyone all laughed.
"I just wanna say, may the best Coordinator win," Dawn said.
"I was thinking the same thing, Dawn. Lillie, Illima, Kiawe, Sophocles, Mallow, Lana, Mina, Acerola, and Hapu, give it your all," May said.
"We will," Sophocles said.
"You and Dawn do the same thing," Mallow said.
The Wallace Cup was closer to beginning. May, Dawn, and the Alolan nine had promised each other a good friendly competition. Only one of them is going to be winning the Wallace Cup Ribbon. Which one is it going to be? Just you wait and see!
