Episode 366: Pruning a Passel of Pals!
Before we get started on this chapter, I would like to announce that the Pokémon that comes from the Unova and Kalos regions will be making an early appearence than I originally planned. I figured it'll make it more interesting and I decided that it didn't matter anymore. Not counting Stunfisk, Darumaka, Darmanitan, Yamask, and Cofagrigus earlier on. So, enjoy it!
Last time, Sora and Kairi are acting as judges along with Lisia and Wallace for the Wallace Cup taking place at the beautiful Lake Valor. May, each one of the Alolan nine, Zoey, and Dawn each gave off a spectacular performance, wowing Sora and Kairi as well as Lisia, her uncle, and the other two judges. And now, they all get into some serious competition with each other as they all made it to the finals along with four other Coordinators. Only one of them is going to be going to win the Wallace Cup and get a step closer to the Grand Festival in either region they're competing in Contests. Let's all hope for the best from these friends as they rest up for the finals.After the first part of the Wallace Cup has concluded, Sora, Kairi, and Lisia has joined up with their friends. Lisia was happy to be joining them for dinner as they all celebrate their success. After they ate, Sora and Kairi went out for a stroll as their friends went to relax for the night. Pikachu and Angel were joining them for their outing.
"I gotta tell you, Kairi, that was a really good day to see all our friends in action like that," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"I know. But it sure was fun to watch. As long it was with you," Kairi said, taking her boyfriend by the arm.
"Yeah. And I got to share it with you too and I'm glad," Sora said. Kairi smiled and she gave him a deserved kiss on the cheek. Sora chuckled at the kiss. Just then, the Snover and Glaceon from before appear in front of the couple. "Kairi, look at that!"
"A Glaceon! And what about that one?" Kairi asked.
"One way to see," Sora said, taking out his Pokédex and scanned the Pokémon.
Snover, the Frost Tree Pokémon
Type: Grass/Ice
It lives on snowy mountains. Having had little contact with humans, it is boldly inquisitive. In the spring, it grows berries with the texture of frozen treats around its belly.
"It's kinda warm for a Snover to be out here," Sora said. "You think they belong to someone?"
"I think so, but-" Kairi said. Snover and Glaceon shook their heads. "Those two are definitely wild Pokémon."
"That means, we can catch them. Which one do you want?" Sora asked.
"I think I'll take Glaceon," Kairi said.
"Okay, then I'll have Snover," Sora said. He looked to Pikachu. "Go right in, Pikachu!"
"Pika!" Pikachu stepped right into battle position against Snover. Kairi turned to Angel.
"You go in too, Angel!" Kairi said.
"Vee!" Eevee nodded. She moved into battle position against Glaceon. The couple were being watched by a boy wearing a red cap and a red jacket and blue jeans. With are six Pokémon and they were witnessing the battle going on. One ofvthem is a serpentine Pokémon with mainly a green body, tan stomach and lower head, with the end of its tail being shaped like a leaf as large as its head. Though unlike most other snake-like creatures, the Pokémon sports arms and legs, being green and tan, respectively. The arms are quite plant-like, ending in three prongs that act like fingers. Its head is a tear drop shape with the top half being green and the bottom half, in front of the neck, being tan. Its eyes are in the intersection between the border of the green and tan parts of its head. Its eyes are surrounded by a yellow marking and are usually half closed. Near the bottom of its neck is a yellow collar which comes up on either side on its body, and comes together in the center of its back, making a line to the bottom of the leaf tail. This Pokémon is known as a Snivy. Another Pokémon looks like either a porcupine and a hedgehog. It has a tough spiky green chestnut-like shell covering its head and back. It has brown fur, a large orange triangle-shaped nose, black oval-shaped eyes, and a toothy grin. It has sharp claws on its large feet, and an orange tip on the end of its pointed green tail. This one is a Chespin. Another small quadrupedal mammalian Pokémon that resembles a piglet. Its plump body, which gets fatter towards its rump, is mainly a bright fiery orange color. Its ears, forehead, backside, tail, and the tips of its front feet are black. It has long ears, large eyes with black pupils, and a distinctly pig-like pink nose with two large nostrils. It has a short yellow stripe extending vertically across the front of its face, just above its nose. It has a short curly tail with a round red orb at the tip. This Pokémon is a Tepig. Another is a small, fox-like Pokémon. It has yellow, orange and white fur. The fur on its long, pointy muzzle and face is white, while its body is mainly covered in bright yellow fur. It has fluffy tufts of vibrant, flame-orange fur protruding from its ears. Its eyes are round and bright orange with slit pupils. Its nose is round and black. It has a short, bushy yellow tail with an orange tip. This Pokémon is a Fennekin. Another is a bipedal, mammalian sea otter-like Pokémon. It has furs covering its entire body, with white fur on its face and arms, light-blue fur on its chubby torso and a dark blue tail, feet and ears. It also has a tan-colored scallop shell attached to its stomach. This Pokémon is an Oshawott. And the sixth one is a an amphibious Pokémon that resembles a frog. It has cyan blue skin covering most of its body, and a scarf-like collar of frothy white bubbles around its neck. Its front feet are white, and it has a dark blue line on its back that extends vertically across its face. Its eyes are large, protuberant and bright yellow. It has two bubbles on its nose. It has long and powerful backlegs as well. And this one is a Froakie. Gotsumon and Pumpkinmon were also watching it go.
"Look at that, guys. A Pikachu and an Eevee battling a Snover and a Glaceon.
"Sniv," Snivy said.
"Ches," Chespin said.
"Pig," Tepig said.
"Oshawott," Oshawott said.
"Kin," Fennekin said.
"Froakie," Froakie said.
Snover comes at Pikachu with Ice Punch as Glaceon comes at Angel with with Ice Fang. Pikachu and Angel dodges the attacks with Quick Attack.
"Iron Tail!" Sora and Kairi came at Snover and Glaceon with Iron Tail. Both landed a hit onto their opponents.
"Use Headbutt!" Kairi ordered. Angel came at Glaceon with a Headbutt, but Glaceon fought back with Ice Beam and it struck Angel on the mark. Snover fired Razor Leaf right at Pikachu. The leaves strucked the mouse Pokémon.
"Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered.
"Swift!" Kairi ordered.
The Pokémon couple launched their combo attacks at their opponents and they bot fell on the ground. Sora and Kairi each took out a Pokéball and threw it. Sora's struck Snover as Kairi's struck Glaceon. The Pokéballs wobbles around and around until stars swirls around them to confirm the catch. The couple's Pokémon Boxes activated and they asked them if they want to keep their newest Pokémon with them. Sora chose to send Snover over to Professor Oak's lab as Kairi has decided to keep Glaceon by exchaning Pachirisu.
"Good work!" The couple praised each other.
"Pika!" Pikachu said.
"Eevee!" Angel cheered.
Pikachu takes Angel into his arms and swung her around and he stops. Angel gave Pikachu a nuzzle and he nuzzles her back. Sora and Kairi kisses each other as the boy and his six Pokémon applauded them.
"Wow! That was awesome!" The boy said. The couple turned to see him. "That was a couple of awesome catches!"
"Thank you," Kairi said.
"Who are you?" Sora asked.
"Right. My name is Raymond. And I was watching you battling that Snover and Glaceon just now. Like I said, those were awesome," Raymond said.
"Thanks a lot," Sora said. He looked at all of his Pokémon. "Do all those belong to you?"
"Yes I do. This is Snivy, Chespin, Tepig, Fennekin, Oshawott, and Froakie. And I know who you two are. You're two of the judges in the Wallace Cup. I was passing by and I was watching the show," Raymond said.
"Nice to meet you," Kairi said. She looked at the six Pokémon. "And I have to say that they're so very cute."
"Thank you. Snivy, Tepig, and Oshawott are the starter Pokémon of the Unova region as Chespin, Fennekin, and Oshawott are starter Pokémon from the Kalos region," Raymond said. Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned each one of them.
Snivy, the Grass Snake Pokémon
Type: Grass
Snivy is an intelligent and calm Pokémon. Being exposed to lots of sunlight makes its movements swifter. It uses vines more adeptly than its hands. They photosynthesize by bathing their tails in sunlight. When they are not feeling well, their tails droop.
Chespin, the Spiny Nut Pokémon
Type: Grass
The quills on its head are usually soft. When it flexes them, the points become so hard and sharp that they can pierce rock. Such a thick shell of wood covers its head and back that even a direct hit from a truck wouldn't faze it.
Tepig, the Fire Pig Pokémon
Type: Fire
It loves to eat roasted berries, but sometimes it gets too excited and burns them to a crisp. It can deftly dodge its foe's attacks while shooting fireballs from its nose.
Fennekin, the Fox Pokémon
Type: Fire
Eating a twig fills it with energy, and its roomy ears give vent to air hotter than 390 degrees Fahrenheit. It intimidates opponents by puffing hot air out of its ears.
Oshawott, the Sea Otter Pokémon
Type: Water
Oshawott uses the scallop on its stomach as a weapon which forms into a blade made of entirely of water. This is known as its scalchop. Oshawott also uses its scalchop to break open hard berries.
Froakie, the Bubble Frog Pokémon
Type: Water
It protects its skin by covering its body in delicate bubbles. Beneath its happy-go-lucky air, it keeps a watchful eye on its surroundings. It secretes flexible bubbles from its chest and back. The bubbles reduce the damage it would otherwise take when attacked.
"Wow, seeing new Pokémon for the first time. Gotta tell you, they look like you've been taking good care of them," Sora said.
"Thanks. This will be the team I'll be using to compete in the Sinnoh Pokémon League. And I'm using all six of my Pokémon here!" Raymond said.
"You're just using these six?" Kairi asked.
"Eevee?" Angel said.
"Yeah. This is my awesome team of Grass, Fire, and Water! And soon, I plan on having all of them evolve before the Sinnoh Pokémon League gets started! What do you think?" Raymond asked.
"Well, I'm taking part of the Sinnoh Pokémon League too. And I'm looking forward in seeing your Pokémon in action!" Sora said.
"Count on it. And as soon as the Wallace Cup's over, I'm going to have a battle against you! What do you say?" Raymond challenged. Sora smiled.
"Okay, I'll be looking forward to that," Sora said.
"Awesome!" Raymond said. He and his team of Starter Pokémon took their leave as they prepare for the battle aganst Sora.
"I think you gained a new rival, Sora," Kairi said.
"Yeah. And I have a feeling I'm going to see him again," Sora said.
Raymond and his Pokémon went to a place to train for his battle against Sora.
"Snivy! Chespin! Vine Whip! Fennekin! Tepig! Use Flamethrower! Oshawott! Use Razor Shell! Froakie! Use Water Pulse!" Raymond ordered. Snivy and Chespin smacked their vines against one another as Tepig and Fennekin fired Flamethrower. Tepig's tail orb glows red and fired Flamethrower. Fennekin fires Flamethrower as well and they collides with Tepig's. Oshawott comes at Froakie with Razor Shell as Froakie dodges Oshawott's Razor Shell and hurls Water Pulse. Froakie dodges that as well. "You're doing great, guys! You'll be set for our match against Sora in no time flat!"
Over to Gotsumon and Pumpkinmon, they came right up to the couple, surprising them both.
"What the?!" Sora exclaimed.
"Hiya!" Gotsumon greeted.
"How are ya doing?" Pumpkinmon asked.
"Who are you?" Sora asked.
"Just a couple of fun-loving Digimon! I'm Pumpkinmon!" Pumpkinmon introduced himself.
"And I'm Gotsumon! We were watching the Wallace Cup! And we saw you both!" Gotsumon said. Sora and Kairi nodded and they took out their Digidexes.
"Gotsumon. A Digimon that literally has rocks in his head, despite being made of actual rocks. He's a Rookie level Digimon and sends out a Rock Fist attack," Sora said. "What about you, Kairi?"
"Pumpkinmon has a pumpkin for a head. And he's an Ultimate level Digimon. He has an attack called Trick-or-Treat, like the one Pumpkaboo's move, but different," Kairi said.
"And I thought that was a really bad Halloween costume," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
The two Digimon blinked twice.
"What's Halloween?" Pumpkinmon asked.
"I dunno," Gotsumon shrugged his shoulders.
"You aren't here to cause trouble, are you?" Kairi asked.
"If you are, the both of you might as well get lost if you're with either Myotismon or AxeKnightmon!" Sora said.
"Pika!" Pikachu said.
"Hey, wait! We're not working for anybody!" Pumpkinmon said, waving his hands.
"Yeah, if we were here to fight, then you would be flatten like pancakes," Gotsumon said.
"I'm thinking of pumpkin spice pancakes for breakfast!" Sora said.
"Wait, if you're not working for AxeKnightmon or Myotismon, then why are you here?" Kairi asked.
"We got here through a Digital Gate and we've been hanging around here since. The lake is pretty here. Especially at night," Gotsumon said.
"Yeah. So, we made loads of friends around here! Especially a Pokémon that's been swimming at the lake," Pumpkinmon said.
"What kind of Pokémon was it?" Sora asked.
"We don't know. It was invisible. We figure maybe it's shy," Pumpkinmon said. Sora and Kairi looked right at each other.
"You don't think it was a Lake Guardian, do you?" Kairi asked.
"It might be possible," Sora said. "Lucas did mention before that he, Dawn, and Barry saw a mysterious Pokémon at Lake Verity." With that said, the couples went off to their friends. Pumpkinmon and Gotsumon followed them both.
Over to the girls, they all talked a bit. May was surprised to hear that Dawn's mom is a Top Coordinator.
"Wow, Dawn, having a Top Coordinator for a mom must have gotten you on the contest path early!" May said.
"Yeah. I even begged her to teach me her awesome recipe for Poffins," Dawn said.
"So you've wanted to be a Coordinator since you were little?" May asked.
"Hey, May, what about you?" Zoey asked.
"Well, let's just say, in the beginning, I had a little trouble dealing with Pokémon at all," May said. "Ever since I started learning about contests and found out how much fun they were, I was hooked."
"I can imagine that. I wanted to make people and Pokémon happy with the meals I provide for them in my family's resturant," Mallow said.
"Spunds like you accomplished that dream," Dawn said.
"Yeah. It's been super fun to do all that and see how happy they are when they enjoy my meals," Mallow said.
Kairi came in the room where all the girls were staying in.
"Kairi, good to see you back!" Mallow said.
"We need to talk," Kairi said.
Over to the boys, Sora came back with Gotsumon and Pumpkinmon. The male Digimon were skeptical at first, but the two of them assured them they didn't come to fight.
Pumpkinmon and Gotsumon saw an invisible Pokémon in the lake.
"You certain it was a Pokémon?" Agumon asked.
"Yeah, it was. We don't know what it was," Gotsumon said.
"You mean, it was Azelf, they saw," Lucas said.
"Azelf?" Sora asked. He took out his Pokédex and looked it up. The image of Azelf shows up. a greyish-blue, fairy-like Pokémon. It has two long tails encrusted with two red gems. Azelf has a blue face and another red gem on its forehead, it has a cone-shaped head with a large flat helmet extended on its head and yellow cat-like eyes.
Azelf, the Willpower
Type: Psychic
Known as "The Being of Willpower." It sleeps at the bottom of a lake to keep the world in balance. It is thought that Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf all came from the same egg.
"Being of Willpower," Sora said. Lucas stood up and went to see for himself. Dawn did the same thing. It turns out that Kairi has told them about what they were told.
Once outside at the lake, Lucas and Dawn both made it at the same time.
"You ame to see it too?" Lucas asked.
"Yes. I wanted to see for myself," Dawn said.
They both looked at the lake and they were stunned when an invisible figure was roamong the lake water and above the water. The figure went back in the water when it saw them looking at it.
"That has got to be a legendary Pokémon living in there," Lucas said.
"I thnk we should tell Professor Rowan about this firstt thing in the morning," Dawn suggested.
"Good idea. That's what we'll do," Lucas agreed.
Back at the room, everyone were astounded to hear about mysterious Pokémon living in Lakes, Verity, Valor, and Acuity.
"Wow, that's something," Meowth said.
"It is. Remember when we were in Snowpoint City, May? That we've been hearing about a mysterious Pokémon living there?" Brendan asked his girlfriend.
"I do. We've been hearing stories about it from the locals," May said.
"I know all about it since I came from Snowpoint City. I've been hearing about since I was little. The legend is about Uxie," Zoey said. Sora looked up Uxie's data on his Pokédex and the image pops up. Uxie is revealed to be a greyish-blue, fairy-like Pokémon. Uxie has a two long, leaf-like tails encrusted the red gems. It has yellow face and its eyes are closed. Uxie's eyes are closed because it is said to wipe the memories of all who gaze upon it. Uxie has a yellow brain-like helmet with another red gem onto its forehead.
Uxie, the Knowledge Pokémon
Type: Psychic
Known as "The Being of Knowledge." It is said that it can wipe out the memory of those who see its eyes. It is said that its emergence gave humans the intelligence to improve their quality of life.
"And what about Lake Verity?" Sora asked as he looked up Mesprit. Mesprit's image shows right up on his Pokédex. It's appearance a greyish-yellow, fairy-like Pokémon. Mesprit has two long tails encrusted with two red gems. Mesprit has a hot pink face and a flat helmet or a head with four drooping pig tails or appendages, yellow eyes and another red gem onto its forehead.
Mesprit, the Emotion Pokémon
Type: Psychic
Known as "The Being of Emotion." It taught humans the nobility of sorrow, pain, and joy. It sleeps at the bottom of a lake. Its spirit is said to leave its body to fly on the lake's surface.
"Man, this is unreal," Sora said.
"We met our share of legendary Pokémon before, Sora," Kairi said.
"I know. And I have a feeling we're going to meet up with them," Sora said. Kairi knew her boyfriend was right because it was likely that they're going to bump into more legendary Pokémon sooner or later.
On the very next moring, Sora and Kairi resumed their positions as judges of the Wallace Cup along with Lisia, Wallace and the tother two. Raymond was among the audience, witnessing the event. May, Dawn, Zoey, and the Alolan nine were anxiously waiting to see who will be up againt who in the finals. Riku, Naminé, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Brendan, Lucas, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, Meowth, Azurill, and the Digimon were there as well. Pumpkinmon and Gotsumon even joined them.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we're back at the Walalce Cup for the beginning of our second-stage Contest Battles! So, Wallace, would you mind saying a few words to our remaing Coordinators?" Marian asked.
"I bid all of you levely Coordinators hello! It's time to bring your excitement and your passion to the world, and I thank you all!" Wallace announced.
"In a Pokémon Contest Battle, Coordinaors have five minutes to show off their Pokémon's moves while simutaneously taking away the other's points as much as you can before the time runs out! And now, our second-stage matchups will be determined by a random shuffle of the Contest computer!" Marian announced as the computer shows them who will be up against who in the second-stage battles. It turns out that it'll be Dawn against a Coordinator as Kiawe will be against Acerola. Sophocles will be against Mina. Mallow will be against Lana. Illima will be against Lillie, and Hapu will be against May as Zoey will be up againsty a Coordinator. "And here they are! Presenting the second-round matchup cards!"
"Looks like I'm first," Dawn said.
"And we're on afterwards," Kiawe said.
"Sure are," Acerola said.
"Gimmie what you got, Mina!" Sophocles said. Mina nodded, intending to do so.
"Let's all give it what we got," Hapu said.
"Sure we will!" May said.Dawn enters the backstage to get things started.
"Time for our first battle! We've got five minutes on the clock! Let's go!" Marian annoucned.Dawn threw a Pokéball in a Ball Capsule with a pink Heart Capsule.
"Buneary, now! Spotlight!" Dawn called out as her Buneary came out with a flurry of pink hearts. Her opponent had his Pokéball in a Ball Capsule with a Foamy Seal.
"Wailmer! Out here for the action!" The Coordinator called out as his Wailmer came out in a flurry of bubbles. "Brine, let's go!" Wailmer fires Brine right at the rabbit Pokémon to land a hit.
"Wailmer gets off to a fine start with a powerful Brine!" Marian announced.Dawn loses some points in the process.
"Quick, Buneary! Somersaults!" Buneary jumps n the water Wailmer is spouting
"Hey, that's no fair!" The Coordinator cried.
"Buneary's cleverly used the energy from that Brine to do some backward somersaults! I can't take my eyes off such cute and dynamic moves!" Marian announced.
"Why that's just fabulous!" Wallace said. Dawn's opponent was losing some points as well.
"Now, Buneary! Bounce!" Dawn ordered. Buneary jumps up and came down on the ball whale Pokémon.
"And Buneary shows some fancy footwork right on top of Wailmer!" Marian announced. Buneary jumps back on the platform. Her opponent loses some more points in the process.
"Wailmer! use Surf!" The Coordinator ordered. Wailmer manipulates the water to lift Wailmer up and use the tidal wave to wash away Buneary.
"Now, thats no small Surf!" Marian announced. Dawn loses some more points in the process.
"Spin!" Dawn called out. Buneary spins around like a top and swirls the water under her. The judges were at awe to Dawn's quick thinking.
"Incredible! Buneary's managed to get on top of and ride that Surf!" Marian announced. Her opponent loses some more points. The clock runs down to a minute left.
"Dizzy Punch! Let's go!" Dawn ordered. Buneary came at Wailmer with a Dizzy Punch. "Great, Buneary! Now keep it up!"
"Use Hidden Power!" The Coordinator ordered. Wailmer fires Hidden Power right at the rabbit Pokémon.
"Wailmer counterattacks! Just take a look at the acrobatic movement of that Hidden Power!" Marian announced as it swirls around to strike Buneary.
"Dodge it!" Dawn called out. Buneary avoids Hidden Power and Wailmer got struck by ots own attack.
"No, Wailmer!" The Coordinator gasped as Wailmer took a dive in the water.
"Whoa! Wailmer ends up getting hit by its own Hidden Power!" Marian announced.
"Ice Beam now!" Dawn ordered. Buneary prepares to fire Ice Beam.
"Body Press!" The Coordinator ordered. Wailmer jumps to deliever Body Press at the rabbit Pokémon. Ice Beam came too fast for Wailmer to use Body Press and ends up being frozen. Time runs out.
"Look out! Time's up! And the winner of the first battle is Dawn and Buneary!" Marian announced.
"Yahoo!" Dawn cheered. The battle is about to get started. In the third battle, Acerola and Kiawe entered the battlefield as they both got set. Marowak was chosen in battle as Acerola uses Gengar. Marowak was struck with Gengar's Cursed Body ability and come back fighting as Gengar had been taken down. Then, it was Mallow against Lana. Lana has overwhelmed Mallow's Vileplume with her Gyarados. Sophocles and Mina duked it out with Ampharos and Granbull. Ampharos had wrapped it up with a powerful Charge Beam over Granbull's Thunder Fang. Then, it was Illima and Lillie. Lillie has won with Magearna against Illima's Stantler. Zoey won her battle with a Coordinator with a Mareep and then, Hapu battled May and she sent out a an enormous bipedal golem-like automaton with ethereal ghostly powers. Its bulky, heavily armored body appears to be composed of a teal-bluish rocky material; it also appears to be wearing knight-like armor. It has a small head with a spike-like formation at the tip and two yellow eyes (one of which is L-shaped). Its relatively small head is attached to a great round torso. It has a large glowing fissure across its chest, which is stitched closed by a brown band. It has a cylindrical tasset-like formation just beneath its torso, and thick, heavy legs with brown bands encircling its ankles just above its massive feet. Its arms are long, thick and powerfully-built; its shoulders are round with spines protruding from either side, and it has massive five-fingered hands with brown bands encircling its wrists. It has diamond shaped features with glowing yellow swirls on the front of its hands, and identical swirled patterns on its shoulders. It was called a Golurk. May used her Venusaur against Hapu's Golurk. Sora and Kairi were astounded in seeing Hapu's newest Pokémon.
"What an intense competition! Our Coordinators are giving it their all!" Marian announced. Dawn has won over her oppoent as it was now Kiawe and Sophocles. "Time for our second battle for the second-stage! It's Kiawe against Sophocles!" Both trainers stared at each other.
"Here goes," Kiawe and Sophocles both said. The clock starts running. Kiawe has his Pokéball in a Ball Capsule with an orange Fire Seal.
"Charizard! Go!" Kiawe called out as Charizard came on out. Sophocles had his Pokéball in a yellow Ele-Seal.
"Go! Vikavolt!" Sophocles called out as Vikavolt came on out to battle.
"Kiawe has chosen Charozard as Sophocles has chosen Vikavolt! Judging by Types, this match can go either way!" Marian announced.
"Charizard! Fire Punch!" Kiawe ordered as Charizard came at Vikavolt with Fire Punch.
"Vikavolt! Dodge and use Electro Web!" Sophocles called out as Vikavolt avoids Fire Punch and fired a web of electricity at the flame Pokémon. Charizard gets tangled in Vikavolt's web and Kiawe loses some points.
"Charizard gets tangeled up into Electro Web!" Marian announced.
"Charizard! Aerial Ace!" Kiawe ordered. Charizard gets out of Electro Web and darts right into Vikavolt.
"Charizard gets back at Vikavolt with a strong Aerial Ace! That's a real use of power!" Marian announced.
"Vikavolt! Signal Beam!" Sophocles ordered. Vikavolt fires Signal Beam right at Charizard.
"Dodge and use Flamethrower!" Kiawe ordered. Charizard avoids Signal Beam and comes at Vikavolt and lands a hit with Flamethrower.
"Charizard strikes Vikavolt right on the mark with that Flamethrower! Kiawe's fire is buring hotter than ever!" Marian announced.
"Aerial Ace!" Kiawe ordered. Charizard starts to head right towards Vikavolt with Aerial Ace.
"Block with Electro Web!" Sophocles ordered. Vikavolt tries to block Aerial Ace, but Charizard was coming too fast nd powerful, so he landed a brutal blow onto the stag beetle Pokémon. Vikavolt fell right into the water, knocked out.
"And Vikavolt is out! And it's Kiawe who is the winner!" Marian announced. Sophocles wasn't too diasppointed that he lost, because he had fun.
It was now the turn of Lana and Zoey. Glameow has taken down Politoed with Shadow Claw. May had battled against Lillie and won it. The finals was now down to Dawn, Kiawe, Zoey, and May.
"And now, we're down to four more Coordinators! Only one of them will be winning this year's Wallace Cup right here on lovely Lake Valor! Which one will make it to the top and get one step closer to the Grand Festival? Just you wait and see?" Marian asked.
That night, they were all resting from those intense battles.
"And then, there were four," Sora said.
"And it's anyone's guess who's going to make it to the final round," May said.
"Just so you know, I don't plan on holding back tomorrow," Kiawe said.
"I wouldn't plan on you doing it," Zoey said.
The final round of the Wallace Cup was just a day away. Only one of them is going to make it to the top. Kiawe, May, Dawn, and Zoey aren't going to back down from this. Stay tuned.
