Episode 374: The Celestic Vision!
Several Days have passed since the Hearthrome Collection. Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Angie, Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, Azurill, Meowth, and the Digimon decided to make a stop in Solaceon Town since Angie was contacted by her parents since they could use her help since they were short-handed at the Pokémon daycare her family owns.
"Sorry that I had to bring you with me. When I told my parents that I met you, they insisted on meeting you, Sora," Angie said.
"It's okay. I'm kinda used to it," Sora said.
"Also, I remember hearing about how Sora being chased by fan girls either wanting an autograph or a date," Meowth said, laughing. Kairi gave a glare at Meowth. "Nevermind."
"I would be upset if they're wondering if their daughter would be dating my boyfriend, bt I know he wouldn't because he's with me," Kairi said.
"Anyway, the last time you were there was when you in that Contest, right?" Angie asked.
"No, Dawn was in that one and she won it. She also won the Wallace Cup after that," Kairi said.
"Vee," Eevee," Angel said.
"Yeah, it was hard of me to imagine you as a judge, Kairi," Angie said.
"You would think so, but it was to help out Dawn, mostly since she didn't make it to the second round of the Hearthrome Contest," Kairi said.
"Wow, a good friend and a respectful rival. You're really nice, Kairi," Angie said.
"That's why I love her," Sora said, putting his arm around her, making her giggle.
They all arrived in Solaceon Town and made it oer to the Pokémon Day Care and they meet Angie's parents. Angie's mom has her hair color. Her father has dark green hair.
"Hi mom, hi dad," Angie greeted.
"Hello, Angie! Good of you to come home!" Angie's mom said. She took a look at Sora. "So, you're Sora Ketchum, the Pokémon League Champion of Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn! I wanted to meet you for a long time! We've been such fans of yours for a long time!"
"Um, thanks!" Sora said.
"I must know, are you dating my daughter?" Angie asked. Angie's father and Kairi huffed at the question as Angie blushed.
"No, no, no! We're not dating! Besides, I already have a girlfriend!" Sora said, pointing at Kairi.
"Yeah, mom, he was in a relationship long before we met up with Angie," Kairi said. "And that's with me."
"Oh, too bad, you're a handsome boy," Angie's boy said.
"Anyway, I came back you said you were short-handed here," Angie said.
"Yes, some of our help had left and we need someone to help take care of a clients Lickitung while mom and I are away on business. We won't be gone long, so we need you to keep an eye on things until we come back. Think you can handle it?" Angie's father asked.
"I can handle it, dad," Angie said.
"That's my girl," Angie's father said.
"So, that means, you'll be staying hime, right?" Riku asked.
"I guess so. It was a blast hanging with you," Angie said.
"Sine you're taking off, I thought it might interest you to know that there's a Contest going on in Celestic Town up ahead," Angie's mom said.
"Another Contest?" Ventus asked.
"It's been a while since Kairi has been in one, so it wouldn't hurt to earn a fourth one before we get to Canalave City," Terra said.
"That gives me more time to get ready," Sora said.
"And since you're going to Canalave City for a Gym battle, I thought you should know that you'll be up against Byron and he uses Steel Type Pokémon," Angie's dad said.
"Like I said, more time to get ready," Sora said.
With that said, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, Meowth, Azurill, and the Digimon said their goodbyes to Angie and she wished them luck for the Contest. Kairi had exchanged her entire team except for Buneary for Glaceon, the Trash Cloak Wormadam, the Plant Cloak Wormadam, and Bibarel.
Over in Twinleaf Town, Johanna is doing some cleaning when she heard her phone ringing.
"Coming, I'm coming," Johanna said. She answers it and sees a woman with maroon eyes and regal purple hair.
"Hi there, Johanna! It's great to see you!" Lila greeted.
"Lila! What an expected pleasure. I haven't seen you since after our last Contest battle! It's been twenty years! I heard you retired from the Coordinator business and went off to be a Poké Stylist. I seen you on magazine covers! How's that career been treating you?" Johanna asked.
"It's going smoothly, Joahanna. I heard that daughter of yours is competing in contests. Like mother, like daughter, I guess," Lila said.
"I'm going to guess that you were watching my daughter perform, right?" Johanna asked.
"Yeah. She had to been inspiried to hear about you being a Coordinator," Lila said. Johanna giggles.
"You're half right. But it wasn't me alone who inspired her. It was that girl named Kairi that really inspired her. She spent all that time watching the Hoenn Grand Festival and she was always saying how pretty she is," Johnna said.
"Kairi, yes, she was one of the judges at the Wallace Cup. Also, I spoke with her parents just recently. I was even there at their wedding and met her as a baby. I was shocked when I thought they were dead, but I was super happy to hear their voices again," Lila said.
"Really? How did you meet them?" Johanna asked.
"You never met them, but I have them when they had started dating, and they were here in Sinnoh. I helped design Mirei's wedding dress. She looked very styling in that dress," Lila said.
"I have a feeling that you're not calling just to talk about the past," Johanna pointed out.
"No. I'm only telling you that there's a Contest being held in Celestic Town, so I thought I come out of retirement and compete," Lila said. Johanna was surprised to hear this bit of news.
"I see. I have to admit, this is very surprising," Johanna said.
"I thought you would be. Prepare to have your socks knocked right off, Lila said. With that said, the two women hung up.
(Flashback, twenty years ago)
Young Johanna and Lila have made it to the final round of the Pokémon Contest. Young Johanna wore a blue dress and an apron as young Lila wore a lavender kimono and has her hair styled in buns. Young Johanna had her Glameow as young Lila has her Delcatty. The clock was down to thirty seconds left as the young Coordinators both had equal scores.
"Glameow! Iron Tail!" Young Johanna ordered. Glameow went and twirls Delcatty in its curly tail. Both feline Pokémon spun around in the air. Glameow lands on its side as Glameow lands on its feet.
"Well done! The way Johanna's Glameow utilizes its opponentss momentumto make its pose is nothing less than outstanding!" The emcee announced.
"Oh, really?" Young Lila asked. The Delcatty vanished, revealing to be a fake.
"Lila's Delcatty was a decoy! So then, where's the real Delcatty?" The emcee asked.
"Delcatty! Use Shock Wave, now!" young Lila ordered. Delcatty came at Glameow and lands in its curly tail and gave a powerful Shock Wave onto Glameow.
"Glameow!" Young Johanna gasped.
"And the flowers have bloomed!" Young Lila proclaimed. She does a pose, taking out a hand fan.
"And there it is! Lila's famous Tiger Lily smile!" The emcee announced. Johnanna has lost some points as the clock runs out. "Times up! And our big winner is Lila from in Celestic Town!" Young Johanna and Lila went up to each other and shook hands.
"An excellent battle, Lila," young Johanna said.
"Johnanna, you put up a great fight!" Lila said. The crowd kept on cheering.

We are now in the present where Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, Meowth, Azurill, and the Digimon all had just arrived in Celestic Town for Kairi's next Contest. They all arrived to the Pokémon Center to meet with Fantina who is going to be one of the judges for the Celestic Town Contest.
"Fantina!' Sora greeted. The Hearthrome City Gym Leader turned with a smile.
"Sora! Tres bien! So very magnifique to see you again! May I presume that you are here for the Contest, oui?" Fantia asked.
"Um, oui, we are," Sora said,
"I'm ready to earn my fourth Ribbon to make up for the Solaceon and Wallace Cup to catch up," Kairi said.
"Wonderful! I am looking forward in seeing your performnce, Kairi," Fantina said. She sets her attention to Sora. "I bet you are wondering why I have left my Gym again, oui?"
"Yeah. I have been wondering on why you left your Gym after our battle," Sora said.
"Well, if it pleases you, I left to perfect my technique and come up with new battling styles. Our Gym battle was no exception since it has given me a chance to make it challenging for anyone coming my way. You surprised me more than any opponent I had since I was a beginning Gym Leader," Fantina said.
"Well, I'm glad that I was able to impress you," Sora said. "Anyway, there's a trainer I know whose name is Lucas who is coming to challenge you into a battle, so I figured he would be there waiting for a battle with you."
"I see. Your friend will have to wait until after the Contest has concluded. After that, I shall return to my Gym," Fantina said. "Until the, adieu." Fantina took her leave from the Pokémon Center. Kairi decided to use Bibarel for the performance and Glaceon for the battle when she makes it to the second part. Kairi decided to test out Bibarel's chewing.
"Okay, Bibarel! Use your Super Fang on these!" Kairi ordered. Kairi threw blocks of wood and Bibarel used Super Fang to chew on them. Bibarel chewed them into different shapes. "That was good! Now, let's try a little more!" Kairi threw the blocks of wood and Bibarel chewed on the blocks of wood and came out with more shapes. "Wonderfully done! You're going to do great!"
"Eevee!" Angel said.
"Bibarel!" Bibarel beamed.
Clapping is heard. Kairi turned to see Lila clapping.
"That was impressive! I'm going to guess you're entering the Contest, are you?" Lila asked.
"Yes, I am. I'll be using my Bibarel," Kairi said.
"Figured as much. And the way your Bibrel used its Super Fang, is impressive!" Lila said.
"Thank you. I spent my time practing with her," Kairi said.
"It shows. You really are Yuta's daughter," Lila said. Kairi was caught by surprise when she heard the woman mention her father's name.
"That's my dad's name," Kairi said.
"I know. I was at your parent's wedding. I designed your mom's wedding dress. And I have to say, you grew up to be so pretty," Lila said.
"You know my parents and me?" Kairi asked.
"Yes. We met once when you were a baby. I was in Kanto when I met you as a baby. You were such a pretty baby," Lila said. Kairi didn't even remember knowing her, bu she has to ask.
"How do you know my parents?" Kairi asked.
"I met your parents when I was starting out as a Poké Stylist. And I could tell you that I had a huge crush on your dad," Lila said.
"I can bet my mom was jealous," Kairi said.
"Sure she was. But he had eyes only on her, so it was okay. He turned me down when I asked him out," Lila said. "Also, I spoke with your parents recently. They told me that you have yourself a boyfriend.
"Yes," Kairi said, blushing.
"If it's okay, I would like to meet him. Just to see for myself," Lila said.
"Um, okay. I guess that's okay," Kairi said.
"Oh, I was so lost in our talk, my name is Lila. Known as Tiger Lily in my Coordinator days," Lila said.
"I'm Kairi, but you already know that," Kairi said. Lila laughed.
The two of them headed for the Pokémon Center so Lila could meet Sora. Speaking of Sora, he was polsihing his Pokéballs as he whistled. The Pokéball sparkled as he looked at his face in the reflection.
"Hello handsome," Sora said. Pikachu, Grotle Monferno, Prinplup, Raboot, and Spiritomb were out of their Pokéballs. The Digimon were with them as well. Kairi and Lila enters through. Kairi shushes Lila as she went up her boyfriend and grabbed him from behind. "AAAH!" He turned to see Kairi. "It's you."
"Why so jumpy, Sora?" Kairi teased.
"Just thought it was an evil Digimon sneaking up on me. But since it's only you, I can let that slide," Sora said as Kairi kissed him on the lips. He notices the woman in the room. "Who's this?"
"Sora, meet Lila. She said she knows my parents, an she heard about you from them. Lila, this is Sora, my boyfriend," Kairi introduced.
"Nice to finally meet you, Sora. I never thought Yuta and Mirei's daughter would be dating the Pokémon League Champion. You're even more handsome than Mirei said you were," Lila said. This made Sora blush.
"Um, thanks," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said. Lila looked at Pikachu.
"So, this is your Pikachu," Lila said.
"Yeah. And these are my other Pokémon. Grotle, Raboot, Monferno, Prinplup, and Spiritomb," Sora said. Lila took a close look at each one of them.
"I think I could make something styling for each one of them. Even your Spiritomb," Lila said. She looked at the Digimon as well. "And maybe something for each one of these."
"Lila, these are our Digimon friends. Agumon, Gabumon, Guilmon, Veemon, Biyomon, Tentomon, Palmon, Gomamon, Patamon, Gatomon, Hawkmon, Wormmon, Armadillomon, Terriermon, Renamon, Lopmon, Gaomon, and Lalamon," Kairi introduced.
"You're just the cutest things I have ever seen!" Lila said. Lila got to know Kairi's boyfriend and the others when they all arrived. Lila got to hear the stories about their adventures. "Sounds like you been through a lot. You're really Yuta and Mirei's daughter."
"So, how come you're coming out of retirement?" Ventus asked.
"I figured I get a chance to have a battle with Kairi. I've been watching her in all those contests and I was impressed by her battling skills. Yuta's skills," Lila said.
"Glad to hear it," Kairi said.
"Anyway, I'll be at the Contest tomorrow, so I'll be looking forward in seeing you at work. So, adieu until then," Lila said. Kairi shook her hand and left to prepare for the next day.
On the very next day, it was now time for the Celestic Town Pokémon Contest, so a crowd as gathering around to see it. Back in Pallet Town, Kairi's family and the Pichu were watching the event on TV.
"Ladies and gentlemen, look around you. Feel the excitement! With every step we take together, we make history! And history's about to be made again, because Marian's back in Celestic Town! Which means of course, the time for the Celestic Town Pokémon Contest is here!" Marian announced as the crowd cheers.
"Yeah, yeah!"
"The Celestic TOwn Riibbon will be awarded to whichever Coordinator emerges victorious!And all trainers who earn five Contest Ribbons will be admitted into the Sinnoh Grand Festival!"
Marian announced. "And now, I have the honor of introducing our judges for today! First, our head judge and chief of Pokémon Activites Committee, Mr. Contesta!""Thank you! I look forward to witnessing the fruits of all the Coordinatorors' traning!" Contesta said.
"Next, we have the head of the Pokémon Fan Club, Mr. Suziko!" Marian announced.
"Hi, Celestic Town! You're remarkable!" Suziko said.
"And last but not least, it's the Hearthrome City Gym Leader Fantina!" Marian announced.
"Truly lovely to see you all here today!" Fantina said.
"All right, let's get things started! We'll get underway with the beautiful and always exciting appeals round! Presenting our first Coordinator! This lovely lady's making her first appearence in twenty years! Please welcome the Tiger Lily of Celestic Town, Lila!" Marian announced.
"It's her!" Patamon said.
"Wonder what she has in store for us all," Riku said.
"Same here," Sora said. Lilia took out a Pokéball in a Ball Capsule with a Flora Seal.
"Now, Cherrim, out you come!" Lila called out as she threw it. The Pokéball opens as flower petals come out with Cherrim in its Overcast form. Cherrim then transform into its Sunshine Form.
"The way Cherrim came out is like Lila never retired," Ventus said.
"Cherrim, Magical Leaf!" Lila ordered. Cherrim unleashes Magical Leaf all around. "Sunny Day!" Cherrim brightens up the entire stadium in bright sunlight, making a lily made out fo sparkly lights. It captivates the entire audience.
"Wow, just wow," Veemon said.
"Clestic Town's Tiger Lily is still blooming!" Contesta said.
"Which means remarkable!" Suziko added.
"It feels like a flower has bloomed in my heart!" Fantina said.
Over in Pallet Town, Kairi's family were very impressed by Lila's skills.
"She's still got it," Yuta said.
"I told you she wouldn't have an ounce of rust on her," Mirei said.
Other performances has gone and went as Coordinators had done their performances. A Delibird made fireworks thanks to Present, a Crawdaunt does a Bubble Beam dance, a Nosepass uses Sand Storm all around, a Donphan rolls around on the stage, and a daredevil Coordinator does a flying Silver Wind act. It was now Kairi's turn o come on out.
"Up next, we have our next contestant and our Champion of the Hoenn Grand Festival, Kairi!" Marian announced. Kairi took out a Pokéball with a Party Seal.
"Go! Bibarel!" Kairi called out Bibarel came out with party confetti. Kairi took out blocks of wood and threw them all over. "Super Fang!" Bibarel started to chew on the wood, taking them into different shapes.
"Now, that's how you use Bibarel's chewing ability! Bibarel is making all sorts of shapes! And such cute little shapes I may add!" Marian announced.
"Try some more!" Kairi said. She took out another block of wood and chews on the wood, making it into a shape of Pikachu wearing a crown like Pikahu's.
"Amazing! This is has to be my idea of good woodcarving! A Pikachu crowned as a king!" Marian annoounced.
"Certainly the most creative use of Super Fang I have ever seen!" Contesta said.
"Remarkable!" Suziko added.
"That had to take a lot of practice and her Bibarel has mastered it beautifully!" Fantina said.
Once Kairi's performance was done, Lila went up to her and she smiled.
"You were impressive out there, Kairi. Well done," Lila said.
"Thank you. You were amazing out there too," Kairi said.
"Well, be ready for anything, because when make it to the finals, just know I will give it all I got, so show me if your dad's skills has rubbed on you!" Lila said.
"Thank you for your patience! And now for the results! After careful consideration, the judges have made a decision! The following eight Coordinators will be moving right along to the next round!" Marian announced. "Now, take a look at the monitors!" The computer displays the eight finalists. Lila had made it in. And Kairi has been named as the eighth finalist. "Now, using the computer, we've randomly decided all our abttles for Round Two." The computer shuffles them and shows who will be battling who. It turns out that Kairi's the fourth battle and Lila's the first. "So have a look at our four pairings!" The crowd cheers.
Lila had won her first round against the Coordinator with her Delcatty. Kairi won her battle against the Coordinator with Delibird using Glaceon. Lila won against a Cordinator with Crawdaunt as Kairi had won against the Coordinator with Nosepass.
"This is it! The final round," Riku said.
"So! Following round after round of fierce battling, we now come to the final round! Over there we have Lila and over is Kairi!" Marian announced. "They got five minutes! Let's go!" The clock starts running as her Pokéball a Ball Capsule in a pink Heart Seal.
"Go! Glaceon!" Kairi called out as Glaceon came out accompanied by pink hearts.
"Delcatty, out you come!" Lila called out as she threw her Pokéball in a Ball Capsule with a blue Party Seal. Delcatty came out in blue confetti.
"Glaeon! Ice Beam!" Kairi ordered. Glaceon fires Ice Beam.
"Substitute!" Lila ordered. Delcatty creates an exact copy of itself. When Ice Beam had hit, it disappears in a puff of smoke.
"Lila starts things up with Substitute! Where could the real Delcatty be?" Marian asked.
"Shock Wave!" Lila ordered. Delcaty grabs Delcattuly and lands a Shock Wave, damaging Glaceon. Lila does her signature pose. "Well done, Delcatty! yes! And the flowers have bloomed!"
"There it is! The famous Tiger Lily Smile!" Marian announced as Kairi had lost some points.
Back in Pallet Town.
"Lila did the same thing to you, dear," Mirei said.
"Like I said, she still got it," Yuta said.
"Glaceon! Use Ice Beam, but upwards!" Kairi ordered. Glaceon fires Ice Beam and goes staright up. The attack struck Delcatty. "Now, use Ie fang!" Glaceon lands a bite onto Delcatty with Fang Fang.
"Yes! Glaeon starts up with Ice Beam and then follows with Ice Fang!" Marian announced. Glaceon became infatuated with Delcatty. "Uh-oh! It looks like Glaceon's been afflicted with the Attract status!"
"Delcatty didn't use Attract," Hawkmon said.
"It's not Attract. It's an ability called Delcatty has called Cute Charm," Riku said.
"What's Cute Charm?" Palmon asked.
"Cute Charm is an ability that Pokémon like Delcatty have that inflicts attraction to an opponent that is the opposite sex from its owner," Riku said.
"If Glaceon's a girl, does that mean, Delcatty's a boy?" Ventus asked.
"Exactly," Riku said.
"Such a pretty flower deserves a lullaby.All tight, Delcatty, Sing, Please!" Lila ordered. Delcatty sang as multicolored music notes come and struck Glaceon, putting the Ice Eeveelution to sleep.
"Glaceon, wake up!" Kairi siad.
"Use Iron Tail!" Lila ordered. Delcatty came at Glaceon with Iron Tail and struck Glaceon. Glaceon fell and still alseep due to Sing's affect.
"Another flower has bloomed!" Lila said, doing her pose again.
"And she does her Tiger Lily smile once again!" Marian announced. Glaceon wakes up.
"Glaceon! Use Ice Shard!" Kairi ordered. Glaceon Ice Shard right at Delcatty. The attack struck him on the mark. Lila has lost some points.
"Now, use Ice Beam!" Kairi ordered. Glaceon fires Ice Beam started to head for Delcatty, but was another Substitute.
"Kairi has fell victim to Substitute again!" Marian announced as Delcatty headed for Glaceon.
"Sing!" Lila ordered. Delcatty began to sing to Glaceon.
"Ice Shard!" Kairi ordered. Glaceon fires Ice Shard and the shards of ice struck the music notes, dissolving them.
"Glaceon cancels out Sing with Ice Shard!" Marian announced.
"Not bad, Kairi! I can expect no less from Yuta and Mirei's daughter," Lila complimented her opponent. "But only one of us is winning that Ribbon today! Flowers will bloom will bloom like never seen before on a grand scale! Glameow! Use Shock Wave!"
"Glaceon! Blizzard!" Kairi ordered. Glaceon fires Blizzard and it collides with Delcatty's Shock Wave.
"Blizzard and Shock Wave are locked on! Which one will keep going with thirty seconds remaining?" Marian asked. Both have held on. It was anyone's guess on who would triumph over the other. Both were losing points at a rapid pace. Glaceon's Blizzard has overpowered Delcatty's Shock Wave and landed a hit onto the prim Pokémon. The clock has run out. "Time's up!" The scoreboard shows that Kairi has a little more than Lila does. "And the winner is Kairi!" The crowd cheered as Kairi had won.
Kairi's family were so proud of Kairi. Johanna was watching on TV as she was more impressed by Kairi's skills.
Delcatty felt bad for losing, so Lila went to comfort him.
"You were just great! Thank you, Delcatty," Lila said. She went up to congratulate her opponent. "Congratulations, Kairi. That was a great battle. You really are your father's daughter," Lila said.
"Thank you, Lila," Kairi said. Kairi stood with Glaceon and Bibarel so Kairi is to recieve her fourth Ribbon.
"And now, the chief of the Pokémon Activities Committee, Mr. Contesta will present our winning Coordinator, Kairi, with the Celestic Town Contest Ribbon!" Marian announced.
"Congratulations! That was quite a spectacle!" Contesta said. Kairi takes her fourth Ribbon. Now, she had only one more Ribbon to win.
"Thank you very much, sir," Kairi said.
Lila led the group to a shop she owns since being a Poké Stylist to anything they want, free of charge.
"Kairi, to celebrate your win, I feel that you can pick out anything you like. All of it, is free. That goes for all of you too!" Lila said.
"Thanks so much, Lila!" Everyone all said.
Everyone went for whatever styles they liked. Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Grotle, Monferno, Prinplup, Spiritomb, Raboot, Buneary, Bibarel, Glaceon, and the Wormadam being Plant Cloak and Trash Cloak went for the styles, while Riku and Eevee weren't interested. The Digimon even got into it.
Now that Kairi has earned her fourth Contest Ribbon, she will need just one more if she's going to win the her next one. Both Sora and Kairi are well on their way and hope for the best for these two!
