Episode 380: Meeting Old Enemies
A day had come since dealing with Team Galactic and saving Iron Island and MetalEtemon met his demise at the hands of WarGreymon. Kairi was training for her next Pokémon Contest. Kairi exchanged Leafeon and Glaceon for Mr, Rime and Drifloon. Kairi decided to have Mr. Rime do a dance on stage since Mr. Rime are well-known for their dacing routines. Also, have the use of Light Screen and Reflect. Also, she wanted to test out Drifloon in battle. Sora went up to his girlfriend.
"Kairi," Sora called out to her. Kairi turned to him with a smile.
"Sora. Something I can help you with?" Kairi asked.
"Yeah. The Digimon got into the karaoke party and they wanna hear you sing a song. It was after we told them about your singing voice," Sora said.
"Sora, stop," Kairi said, blushing.
"You do. Remember when we sang those duets in Violet CIty?" Sora asked.
"I enjoyed those," Kairi said. "Because it was with you." Sora smiled.
"So, you in?" Sora asked.
"Yes. Also, one more with us as a duet," Kairi said.
WIth that said, Sora and Kairi went back with their friends waiting for them.
"About time, you two," Aqua said.
"We got tired of waiting," Meowth said.
"I heard you wanna hear me sing, right?" Kairi asked.
"Yeah, we wanna hear your voice," Patamon said.
"So, pick a song and start singing!" Tentomon said.
"Okay, okay, I'll pick one," Kairi said. She searched for a song to sing. She found one she knew they might like. She grabbed a microphone. The music started playing. She took a deep breath as she started singing. It was Dreams To Dream.

Once Kairi has done singing, the Digimon applauded for her. Sora, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Meowth also applauded for her.
"She sings beautifully than you told us," Biyomon said.
"Very pretty!" Palmon said.
"Now, Sora and I will sing the next one," Kairi said. She turned to Sora.
"I remember the deal. You pick one like last time," Sora said.
"Sure," Kairi said. She rummaged through the songs and found one that sounded good. Sora grabbed a microphone and she started the song. Sora and Kairi were singing Let Me Be Your Wings.

"Thanks a lot," Sora said.
"Glad you enjoyed it," Kairi said.
"Kairi should have been a singer for real," Gomamon said.
"She would knock the whole world dead," Veemon said.
"Even the Gekomon would love her to pieces," Gabumon said.
As they had finished singing, a knock on the door is heard. Kairi answered and sees a pair of familiar faces. It was Jessie and James, standing with an infant baby in Jessie's arms.
"Jessie?! James?!" Sora exclaimed in shock.
"Hello, Sora," Jessie and James greeted.
"I don't believe it!" Sora said.
"Jess! James! It's really you!" Meowth said.
"Hello, Meowth," James said. Wobbufett popped out on his own once again.
"Wobbufett!" Wobbufett said.
"Haven't seen you since your wedding!" Sora said.
"It feels like a long time," James said. They all got a look at the baby in Jessie's arms.
"So, who's this?" Kairi asked.
"Everyone, this is our son. This is Edward," Jessie said. The baby opened his eyes. The baby has Jessie's eyes and happily babbled.
"Hey there, little guy," Sora said. Edward grabbed Sora by his hair. "Ouch!"
"No, no, Edward, we don't pull people's hair. It's not nice," James said.
"Hard to hear it from them, but hey, anything is possibe in a fanfic," Meowth said.
"You don't mind if we come in, do you?" Jessie asked.
"Not really. Come on in," Sora said. Jessie and James saw the Digimon, who were confused and dumbfounded by the people. Jessie and James shared their expression.
"Friends of yours?" James asked.
"Sure are," Sora said.
"We have much to explain," Terra said.
So, the group explained to them about the Digimon, coming from the Digital World, currently in a war against and evil Digimon called Myotismon. They met Myotismon in the Digital World and a handful of his followers, along with a Digimon calling himself AxeKnightmon
"You're no strangers to anything weird," Jessie said.
"Especially after all that inter dimensional traveling you did," James added.
"You would know it. Anyway, enough about us; what brings you crazy kids to Sinnoh?" Sora asked.
"Well, James wanted to show me and Edward around the Sinnoh region since his family had a summer home. But it had its shares of problems," Jessie said.
"What do you mean?" Kairi asked.
"You two remember Jessibelle, my ex-fiance, who my parents chose for me against my wishes?" James asked. Sora and Kairi defiently remembered seeing her briefly after seeing the resemblance between her and Jessie.
"How could we forget?" Sora, Kairi, and Meowth asked in unison.
"Huh?" Jessiebelle?" Ventus and the Digimon blinked twice.
"Oh, yeah, you mean the girl that was the reason that you ran away from home," Terra said. "I think you mentioned her before."
"We only saw her briefly and high-tailed it faster than a Dodrio in a race. What about her?" Sora asked.
"Jessibelle still won't accept that Jessie and I are married and she keeps pestering me to leave her and marry her, since she was chosen for me," James said.
"Ask a dumb question, and this is what you get," Sora said.
"Also, how do you know about James, being a runaway, Terra?" Meowth asked.
"I just figured she made him run away. I think I'd run away too if I was engaged to someone who's completely crazy," Terra said. Aqua sternly glares at him. "What? i don't mean you, Aqua."
"I know. I'm doing it anyway," Aqua said.
"We only had a few encounters with her, but we manged to give her the slip," James said. "But enough about us, where are you heading now?"
"Chocovine Town. That's where a Pokémon Contest is taking place," Kairi said.
"How many Ribbons did you win so far?" Jessie asked.
"Four," Kairi said.
"And I won six Gym Badges," Sora added. "And how is parethood treating you?"
"Well, to be honest, Jessie was a nightmare when she was pregnant," James said. Jessie starts to glare at her husband. "But it's not her fault. It was only her hormones kicking in." Jessie smiled, feeling satisfied.
"Would you like to hold the baby?" Jessie asked.
"You sure it's okay?" Kairi asked.
"Sure it is. Here," Jessie said, handing her son to Kairi and he smiled warmly at her.
"Ooh, aren't you the cutest wittle thing," Kairi cooed. Kairi gave some baby talk to him. Sora smiled again.
"Here I go with this again; Kairi's going to make a great mom," Sora said in his thoughts.
"Look at that, Edward likes Kairi," James said.
"Hey, what about me?" Meowth asked. Kairi bent down and she showed Meowth the baby. Meowth held him in his paws and he smiled at the scratch cat Pokémon. "It's nice to meet ya, Eddy. Me and your mom and dad go way back." Edward gave Meowth a hug and he hugged him back. "I ike ya, too."
"So, Sora, how about you and I have a Pokémon battle. Jessie and I has gotten some new Pokémon and we wanna test them out," James said.
"Sure, what did you get?" Sora asked. Jessie and James had let out three Pokéballs each and lets them out. Jessie has three new ones as did James.
From Jessie's one is a small, round, fuzzy, winged Pokémon that resembles a bat. It sports a pair of small, bat-like wings on each side of its round, furry, light-blue body. In the center of its face is a round, pink nose with closed eyelids on both sides (its fur is so long and fuzzy that its eyes cannot be seen). It only has one nostril, and it is roughly in the shape of a heart. It has one, large, pointed fang protruding from its upper jaw. Another an aquatic jellyfish-like Pokémon that also share some traits with octopuses. It has a fluffy ruffle collar and is pink. It has ruffle decorations on the tentacles. It's pink with ruffle like decorations on her smaller tentacles. It has a pattern around its crown like hairstyle have a round one has a triangular pattern. It has a smile on its and have blue eye color with curly lines along with its surround color. And the third one is a is a ghostly Pokémon that resembles a pumpkin carved into a jack-o-lantern. The top part of its plump, round pumpkin-like body is covered in a thick shag of dark brown hair that curls upward slightly at the ends. It has a curled stem at the top of its head, and two horn-shaped tufts of hair on either side. It has two ovular yellow eyes and a small mouth with two sharp fangs protruding from beneath its upper lip. The bottom part of Its body is orange and pudgy, with two short legs and two holes that seem to have been carved out. Inside its body, a mysterious orange light can be seen and can act as a flashlight.
James's Pokémon is a blue jellyfish-like Pokémon like the pink one, is blue with a frilly collar around his neck. It has a crown-like hairstyle on its head. It has its tentacles with pale blue rhombuses on it. It has a frown on its face and have red eye color with blue straight lines and surround color. Another is a small Pokémon that resembles a mushroom. The pattern at top of the mushroom resembles a Pokéball. It has a white stem with stubby arms sprouting from it. On its stem is its tiny face, with small, black eyes and a mouth with large, pink lips. And the third is a small amphibious Pokémon that resembles a squid. Its body is round and blue in color with a fringe of short tentacles forming its underside. It has very large round black eyes and a small pink beak-like smiling mouth. It has a pinkish white-finned cap-like feature with four bioluminescent yellow spots atop its head. Two short white arm-like tentacles sprout from either side of its cap.
"Meet our newest additions to the family!" Jessie said. Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned them.
Woobat, the Bat Pokémon
Type: Psychic/Flying
Suction from its nostrils enables it to stick to cave walls during sleep. It leaves a heart-shaped mark behind. Its habitat is dark forests and caves. It emits ultrasonic waves from its nose to learn about its surroundings.
Frillish, the Floating Pokémon
Type: Water/Ghost
It wraps its veillike arms and legs around prey swimming by and drags them down to the depths of the ocean. Using the invisible poison spikes on its veillike arms and legs, it paralyzes its enemies and causes them to drown.
Foongus, the Mushroom Pokémon
Type: Grass/Poison
The spores released from this Pokémon's hands are highly poisonous, but when thoroughly dried, the spores can be used as stomach medicine. No one knows what the Pokéball–like pattern on Foongus means or why Foongus has it.
Pumpkaboo, the Pumpkin Pokémon
Type: Ghost/Grass
It is said to carry wandering spirits to the place where they belong so they can move on. The pumpkin body is inhabited by a spirit trapped in this world. As the sun sets, it becomes restless and active.
Inkay, the Revolving Pokémon
Type: Dark/Psychic
It spins while making its luminescent spots flash. These spots allow it to communicate with others by using different patterns of light. By exposing foes to the blinking of its luminescent spots, Inkay demoralizes them, and then it seizes the chance to flee.
"And what additions," Sora said. "How do you wanna do this?" Sora asked.
"We can make it a triple battle. Just like in Unova," James said.
"Fine with me," Sora said.
"And Kairi, I was wondering if we can have one, too. Same rules," Jessie said.
"Fine with me. Good practice for my upcoming Contest," Kairi said.
Everyone stepped on the battlefield on the ship. It didn't take long until a crowd was gathering around. James was going with Amoongus, the male Frillish, and Inkay. SOra hadhis team figured out. He took out three Pokéballs and threw them.
"Go! Shieldon, Drizzile, and Skorupi!" Sora called out. "You can make the first move, James!"
"Foongus! Use Stun Spore! Frillish! Use Shadow Ball! Inkay! Use Psybeam!" James ordered. James's three Pokémon attacked their intended targets.
"Shieldon! use Protect! Skorupi and Drizzile! Get behind him!" Sora ordered. Shieldon forms a protective barrier and it blocks all three attacks. "Okay, Drizzile! Use Acrobatics on Inkay! Skorupi! Use Poison Fang on Foongus! Shieldon! Use Iron Head on Frillish!" Sora ordered. Shieldon, Skorupi, and Drizzile launched their attacks onto their opponents. Shieldon lands a hit on Frillish as Skorupi landed Poison Fang on Foongus, and Drizzile landed Acrobatics on Inkay.
"Foongus! Hidden Power! Inkay! Tackle! Frillish! Use Water Gun!" James ordered. James's three Pokémon fires their attacks at their opponets again.
"Shieldon! Protect! Drizzile and Skorupi! Behind Shieldon again!" Sora ordered. Shieldon used Protect as Drizzile and Skorupi got behind the shield Pokémon. Protect had failed to work. The three Pokémon got up, despite taking some damage. Foongus glared at the larger Pokémon and started to evolve. The same for Drizzile, Shieldon, and Skorupi. Drizzile has become an Inteleon, as Skorupi has come a Drapion, and Shieldon has evolved into a Bastiodon. Foongus had evolved into a is a large, mushroom-like Pokémon that has a Pokéball pattern on its cap. It has a bulky, thick, stem-like body that is mainly gray in color. It has two arms with round, disc-like Pokéball shapes on the ends of each. Its base is black and it has small eyes and a large, pink-lipped mouth.
"Wow, four evolutions in one battle!" A random man said.
"That is very unusual!" A random woman said.
"A Drapion, an Inteleon, and a Bastiodon! So cool!" A random boy said.
"Foongus, you're a Amoonguss! You're so cool!" James said. Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned James's newly evolved Pokémon.
"This I gotta see," Sora said.
Amoonguss, the Mushroom Pokémon
The evolved form of Foongus
Type: Grass/Poison
Amoonguss has a Pokéball pattern on its caps like Foongus. It uses its caps into luring unsuspecting prey their way. Unfortunately, there are many prey that are not fooled.
"Wouldn't fool me for a second," Sora said.
"Let's keep going! Amoonguss! Use Body Slam! Frillish! Water Gun! Inkay! Foul Play! James ordered.
"Inteleon! Use Snipe Shot! Bastiodon! Use Flash Cannon! Drapion! Use Venoshock!" Sora ordered. Sora's three Pokémon attacked James's three Pokémon at once. Drapion hits Amoonguss, Inteleon hits Inkay, while Bastiodon hits Frillish.
"Those are some great moves on Sora's part," Ventus said.
"Well, Amoonguss's Poison attacks won't do any damage, while Inteloen is quick, and Bastiodon has strong defense," Aqua said.
"Frillish! Shadow Ball! Inkay! Psybeam! Amoonguss! Body Slam!" James ordered. Drapion got hit by Shadow Ball while Inteloen got struck by Psybeam, and Bastiodon was hit with Body Slam.
"Bastiodon! Iron Head! Inteleon! Water Pulse! Drapion! Cross Poison!" Sora ordered. Bastiodon came at Amoonguss and landed a hit. Amonguss was taken out. Drapion came at Inkay with Cross Poison and it was also taken down. Inteleon hurls Water Pulse at Frillish and has been taken down. James had lost.
"If I was still with Team Rocket, I would be fueling with anger. Not aymore," James said.
"Gotta hand it to you, James, you're even stronger than you used to be," Sora said.
"You too, Sora," James said, shaking hands. James went up to Edward. "Daddy didn't win, but it's okay, because daddy is still number one."
Kairi and Jessie stepped up next to the battle field She has chosen Woobat, her Frillish, and Pumpkaboo. Kairi figured two of them are Ghost Types, so Normal Type attacks won't cut it, so she decided to go with a Ghost Type of her own. Along with Flareon and Jolteon. She took out her three Pokéballs and threw them.
"Go! Drifloon, Flareon, and Jolteon!" Kairi called out, letting her three Pokémon out to battle. "Wanna make the first move, Jessie?"
"I do! Pumpkaboo! Use Shadow Ball! Frillish! Use Bubble Beam! Woobat! Air Cutter!" Jessie ordered. Her three Pokémon launched their attacks.
"Flareon! Use Flamethrower! Jolteon! Thunderbolt! Drifloon! Omnious Wind!" Kairi ordered. Flareon fires Flamethrower, Jolteon fires Thunderbolt, and Drifloon fires Omnious Wind. The attacks struck Jessie's Pokémon. Pumpkaboo got hit with Flamethrower, as Omnious Wind struck all the opponents. Pumpkaboo and Frillish took the most damage due to their weakness to Ghost Type attacks.
"Frillish, Pumpkaboo! Use Shadow Ball! Woobat! Gust!" Jessie ordered. Frillish and Pumpkaboo fires Shadow Ball as Woobat fires Gust. Flareon and Jolteon both got hit by Shdow Ball as Drifloon was struck by Gust. "Pumpkaboo! Use Leech Seed on Drifloon!" Pumpkaboo fires a seed at Drifloon.
"Will-O-Wisp!" Kairi ordered. Drifloon unleashes white, light-blue, purple, and dark-purple fireballs and burns the seed and gave Pumpkaboo a burn. "Jolteon! Thunder Fang! Flareon! Fire Fang!" Flareon and Jolteon jumped and landed a Fire Fang and Thunder Fang onto Woobat and Frillish.
"Pumpkaboo! Use Shadow Ball! Frillish! Use Psychic! Woobat! Hidden Power!" Jessie ordered. Frillish took Flareon with Pyshic, Woobat struck Drifloon with Hidden Power, and Pumpkaboo strikes Jolteon with Shadow Ball. "Pumpkaboo! Use Trick-or-Treat!" Pumpkaboosends out a shadowy aura and it hits Jolteon.
"What just hit Jolteon?" Ventus asked.
"It's a move called Trick-or-Treat. It's a move that can change its target into a Ghost Type when it hits," James said.
"That means Jolteon will be vulnerable to Ghost Type moves," Agumon said.
"Bingo," James said.
"Frillish! Pumpkaboo! use Shadow Ball on Jolteon!" Jessie ordered. Frisllish and Pumpkaboo fires Shadow Ball at their intended targets and Jolteon toook some heavy damage.
"Drifloon! Omnious Wind!" Kairi ordered. Drifloon fires Omnious Wind right at Frillish and Pumpkaboo. "Now, use Gyro Ball!" Drifloon spins around while while surrounded by a bluish-white ball and slams into Woobat.
"Woobat! Air Cutter! Pumpkaboo! Seed Bomb! Frillish! Bubble Beam!" Jessie ordered. The three Pokémon launched their attacks onto Kairi's three Pokémon.
"Dodge and use Thunderbolt, Flamethrower, and Gust!" Kairi ordered. All of Kairi's three Pokémon avoided their opponent's attacks and fired their attacks at their opponents Woobat got hit, as did Frillish, and Pumpkaboo. All three of them had gotten down for the count.
"And that's game!" Kairi said.
The crowd cheered as the battle had ended. Kairi and Jessie shook hands as they both smiled.
"You're even more skilled than I remember. No wonder you won the Grand Festival," Jessie said.
"Thanks, Jessie. It's too bad we started out as enemies when we first met," Kairi said.
"Yeah, too bad," Jessie said, recalling her misdeeds while in Team Rocket. She had to admit she didn't have a happy life before and after joining Team Rocket, and then learning of their betrayal. But she wanted to be a much better person than she used to be for the sake of her son.
The group joined the married couple for dinner as Jessie has shown the Digimon their wedding photo. It shows Sora and Kairi with them, as well as Genghis and Kahnnie. With them were also, Tai, Kari, Matt, TK, Izzy, Sara, Mimi, Joe, Davis, Amy, Yolei, Cody, Ken, Takato, Henry, RIka, Takuya, Koji, Kouichi, Zoe, JP, Tommy, Yugi, Téa, Joey, Tristan, Bakura, Duke, Mai, Serenity, Guil, Impdidimp, Munchlax, Mime Jr., as well as the inter dimsional freinds they were with. Red, Vector, Charmy, Espio, Sunset Shimmer, Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Spike, Dingodile, Time Man, Oil Man, Duo, Chunky Kong, Kiddy Kong, Tiny Kong, Lanky Kong, Hunter, Bianca, Shiela, Sgt. Byrd, Bentley they Yeti, Agent 9, Wario, and Waluigi.
"Such a nice photo," Palmon said.
"Thanks," Jessie said.
"No offense, it was hard of me to picture you two as parents," Sora said.
"None taken, because we took some parenting lessons from the experts; Kairi's parents. Mirei taught me and Jessie how to cook just to feed Edward. Your uncle gave me a job in his resturant since a kitchen staff member had left and moved when he was offered a job in a fancy resturant in Celadon City. I'm now Big Earl's right-hand man," James said.
"Your uncle was nice enough to let us have a vacation here," Jessie said.
"So, here we are," James said.
"How did you win my mom and dad over?" Ventus asked.
"We had a hard time at first, but they eventually forgave us for our past, since you forgave us," James said.
"What about Genghis and Kahnnie? What's new with them?" Kairi asked.
"They're Edward's godparents. They're both working in the resturant in Porta Vista," Jessie said.
"And they came out with a new ice cream flavor. They said it's from the fruit you came back with," James said. Sora knew it was the Wumpa fruit the he, Kairi, Crash, and Coco brought back from their world.
And they were right. All over Kanto, Wumpa had become so popular. Not only with people, but Pokémon, too. Wumpa pits were being distributed to the other regions just so they could grow. Even Sinnoh was going to be affected by the craze.
In a town in Sinnoh, the Wumpa had been in a local supermarket, Impmon grabbed the strange fruit and bit into it.
"Not bad. Tangy taste," Impmon said, taking another bite.
"Hey! You going to pay for that or what?!" The vendor exclaimed. Impmon snaps his fingers and crimson red fireball at the tip of his finger.
"Night of Fire!" Impmon shouted, catching him on fire. Impmon laughs as he took some more of the fruit. "Not sure what this fruit is, but the rest of the boys will sure love this!" He took a bagful of the fruit and took off.
"Someone call the police! That little creep stole my fruit without paying!" The vendor exclaimed.
Back to the ship, it was getting close to Chocovine Town, where Kairi's next Contest was going to take place. Will Kairi win and have all the Ribbons she needs to enter the Grand Festival? Stay tuned and find out.
