Episode 381: The Chocovine Contest!
Before we get this chapter started,I would like to introduce you to some characters that appeared from the Final Fantasy series. I would like to say that some of them did appear in the Kingdom Hearts games, but I felt that it doesn't count since they were featured from Final Fantasy. Also, I would like to introduce another evil organization that appeared in the Pokémon Colosseum games. The Cipher admis from those games will also be making an appearence in the fanfic and no, they will not be using Shadow Pokémon. With that being said, I just wanted to say, enjoy!
Arriving at last tom Chocovine Town, the home of Kairi's very next Pokémon Contest taking place the next day, she gets some training done with Mr. Rime and Drifloon.
"Mr. Rime, keep it up! Light Screen!" Kairi ordered. Mr. Rime uses Light Screen and used it to tap dance. "Good work, Mr. Rime! Now, use Ice Shard!" Mr. Rime unleashed Ice Shard all around.
"Kairi is going to do great," Jessie said.
"The old Jessie wouldn't say anything like that," Meowth said in his thoughts. He recalled the attempt she pulled trying in her first Contest and that phony PokéBlock scam, before Kairi and Nancy foiled it.
"Well, Mr. Rime are natural born tap-dancers. I heard there was one that litterally tapped on top of the tallest tower in Galar without falling off," James said. "That was over fifty years ago."
"Wow," Ventus said. Wobbufett popped right out.
"Wobbufett!" Wobbufett said. Ventus jumped like a flea on a hot brick.
"Don't do that! Sora's Wobbufett doesn't do that to us!" Ventus said.
"Wobbu," Wobbufett said sadly.
"You're not alone there, Ven. Jessie got pretty annoyed by Wobbufett popping out of random, but we got used to him," Meowth said.
"That was great, Mr. Rime, take five," Kairi said. Mr. Rime went up to his trainer and rested his feet from that tap-dancing.
Ursula was competing in the Contest along with her Gabite.
"This is wonderful! Kairi is going to be in the Contest, as well. And this is my chance to win Sora's heart and he will be my boyfriend. Ooh, I can imagine it now! A long tale of romance between me and Sora," Ursula said. She began to go into fantasy mode. She imagined the two of them on a cruise ship together.
"Ursula, you are the most beauftiful girl I have ever met. More so than the girl who I used to date," the imaginary Sora said.
"Oh, darling, I have made you some cookies," Ursula said, holding them up. "Will you be eating them?"
"Only if you will feed them to me, darling," Sora said. Inthe corner of Ursula's imagination, Karii is wearing ragged clothes and a bandana on her head.
"Sora, I've been so good for you and you leave me for her?!" Kairi cried.
"Sorry, Kairi, but Ursula is who I love now," Sora said.
"Yes. And since I won the Chocovine Contest, it is me he has his eyes on now," Ursula gloated. "Now, come, my prince, let's go and get married and have many babies."
"And they're all going to be as beautiful as you!" Sora said. Ursula gave off her snobbish laugh as Kairi is crying in the gutter. By then, Sora is in a white tuxedo as Ursula is in a wedding dress.
(If you think this is deluded even for her, then you people would be right.)
"Oh, hearing Kairi in defeat when I take her beloved Sora from her after winning the Contest. And once he is mine, I'll have him worship like a queen; no, like a goddess!" Ursula said, doing her snobbish laugh again.
She and her Gabite approached the group, and cleared her throat. They all turned to see her.
"Who is that?" Veemon asked.
"Seriously, Veemon? It's that girl from the Solaceon Contest," Meowth said. "Ursula.
"You know her?" James asked.
"Just a Pokémon Coordinator who was flirting with Sora right in front of Kairi and plans on stealing ," Meowth said.
"Ursula, hey," Sora said. "It's been a while."
"But not long enough," Ursula flirted.
"You here to compete in the Contest, Ursula?" Ventus asked.
"I am. I'm hoping you'll be there, watching," Ursula said.
"Yeah, I'll be there," Sora said.
"Good, because I'll be dedicating my victory to you," Ursula said. Kairi didn't like how Ursula was hitting on her boyfriend again.
"Here's here with me, girlfriend!" Kairi said, grabbing Sora by the arm.
"Oh, it's you again. I saw you in the Celestic Town Contest. I personally think you winning that Contest was purely an accident," Ursula said.
"Hey, Kairi got there because she has skills!" Sora said, defending his girlfriend.
"I appreciate it you're looking out for me, but I'm not afraid to put her in her place," Kairi said.
"Not if I put you there, first!" Ursula said. "And I can say that I will that you'll have to be holding your breath for an awful long time before Sora will be here for you. And your face will be bluer than a Wailord's," Kairi said. Sparks flies between them. "Mark my words, once I win this Contest, then you will wish you never crossed paths with me!"
"I'm going to make you wish you never hit on my boyfriend," Kairi said. Ursula and Gabite took their leave of them. Kairi wanted to win it that badly just to put Ursula in her place. She knew Sora was behind her one hundred percent.
Elsewhere in an disclosed location, the trainers from before all come forward. They were all under a banner that Reads "Pokémon and Humans Of Peace", with the P, H, O, and P being larger than the others.
There were several kinds of Pokémon with them. Among the Pokémon is a plump bipedal creature with a cream and pink colored body. It has large ovular blue eyes and frilly pink and cream ears; long, extendable curled feelers are attached to its earlobes. It has curled feelers on its ears. Egg hatching can be predicted as well. The pink pattern on its body resembles a coat, and it has a pudgy cream-colored belly and underside. Its small paws with three digits are cream colored, and it has short legs with small two-toed feet. There are pink heart-shaped patterns on the bottoms of Its feet. It has a white fluffy tuft for a tail.
Another is a small plant-based cactus-like Pokémon with a somewhat feminine appearance. It has two ear-like extensions protruding from its head that end in lavender flowers. They have three yellow thorns on them similar to one on the middle of Its forehead. It has yellow eyes and a zigzagged w-shaped mouth. Its main body is made of two shades of green (one shade lighter or darker than the other, the light being the main body color and the dark being the secondary), and ends in either a single star-shaped foot or what appears to be a star-shaped bush. It has mid-sized arms that end in a sort of dark green frill before the hand. Its hands each have three yellow claws similar to its thorns. This Pokémon is Audino.
Another is a multi-colored Pokémon with wings and four feather-like appendages on its lower body that are blue, red and yellow by the base. Its "main" body is mostly black, with a green zig-zag pattern in the middle and a black pattern which is surrounded by green. Its head has an eye, while it has two of what looks like its eye on its black pattern, making a total of three eyes. This Pokémon is Sigilyph.
Another is is a small, beetle-like Pokémon. Its head area is black with yellow eyes, it has a yellow underbelly, and is mainly blue with a hinge-looking appendage (which helps it cling onto things) that comes from its back. This Pokémon is Karrablast.
Another is a snail-like pink and green shelled Pokémon. It hasa long pink proboscis sticking out that looks very much like lips, and it has large eyes with small black pupils. Its grayish shell serves as it's armor, which resembles a knight's helmet. Pokémon is Shelmet.
Another is is an insect-like Pokémon that resembles a beetle clad in snail-shell armor. Its main body is actually quite small compared to the Armour with the visible areas that aren't armor being most of its body. It has a more pointed head, the fact its face has moved up its body and has grown slightly longer and slimmer. The armor it wears has been taken from the snail-like Pokémon and has been enhanced for combat. It has made two lances, one for each hand, and has split the helmet into two parts. One for head protection which now includes a metallic plume attached to the top of the helmet and armor attached to its legs which comes in a spiral and has a red spike protruding from it which is implied that it walks with. This Pokémon is Escavalier.
Another is a large pink head with two green stripes and a hole which closely resembles a star. Its eyes are in some sort of crevice which is also shadowed and black. The body is blue with segments and it has wavy extensions to its arms that are connected to the shoulders. Most of the time the arms are crossed. This Pokémon is Accelgor.
Another is a massive bipedal dinosaur-like Pokémon that resembles a Tyrannosaurus Rex. It has craggy auburn rock-like scales covering most of its body, while its underbelly is gray and white. It has a large spiny white fringe around its neck. It has small arms with two sharp black claws, and powerfully-built legs. Its feet are very large with three sharp black claws on each. It has many sharp white teeth on its lower jaw, and craggy red fangs on its upper jaw. It has an orange spiked crest on its forehead, and small white eyes. It has a thick, powerful tail with orange spiked formations at the tip. This Pokémon is known as Tyrantrum.
Another is a huge dinosaur-like Pokémon bearing resemblance to the Amargosaurus, Apatosaurus or a Brachiosaurus with light blue colored skin, a teal stomach, and blue eyes. It has many icy gems on the sides of its body and a long, curled tail. When it emits a cry, the thin blue-tipped membrane on its head ripples with a light green color, while it attacks, the membrane turns orange. With the icy crystals that line its sides. This Pokémon is known as Aurorus.
Among the trainers, one is a young with a lean and toned build, and spiky blond hair. He has blue eyes. uniform comprises indigo pants with a sleeveless shirt and a belt. He also wore brown boots, gauntlets with a pauldron over his left shoulder and a band in his right wrist. Unlike the default uniform, his is customized to exclude the right shoulder pauldron, likely to make it easier to draw his sword from behind him, while his left pauldron remains, albeit with protruding screws and bolts due to makeshift repairs. He also wore a junky gear-like armlet on his left forearm.
Another is a young woman with long black hair going pass her waist tied at the tips to form a dolphin-tail split. She wore white tank top that exposed her midriff and black miniskirt with a belt and suspenders. She wore a white teardrop earring on her left ear. She dons red and black gloves that extend to her elbows, red boots, black socks, and a metal guard on her left elbow. She wore a black sports bra under her tank top and black leather gloves with metal plates on the back and knuckles, while the elbow pad on her left arm has been supplemented by a red-and-black leather vambrace. The red sections of her vambrace and the larger metal plates on the back of her gloves have runes engraved on them. She wears a pair of black and red boots with black leg protectors.
Another is a young woman with long light-brown hair with a large pink ribbon; within the ribbon. She wore a carmine pink and white top held up by a string that wraps around her neck. Underneath this top, she wore a double layer flare skirt. The top layer is light pink with a white stripe while the bottom layer is plain white. She wore pale brown boots.
Another is a teenaged girl who has short, black hair and wore a metal headband with two green tassels. She wore a yellow scarf, a green tube top, exposing her midriff, two blue belts holding it up, tan short-shorts with another loose, blue belt around her waist, white socks that reach about mid-thigh, orange shoes, and mesh sleeves on her arms that disappear into orange, fingerless gloves with black bands constricting the ends.
Another is teenager with unruly brown hair and light blue eyes. He also wore a black leather bomber jacket with a fur trim collar and a v-neck white shirt, black pants with three interconnecting red belts, and black boots and gloves. He has a silver stud in his left ear and wears a silver chain necklace with a pendant and a matching ring.
"Welcome, members of PHOP. As you know, Team Galactic is a critical threat to the world. The same can be said of the Digimon known as Myotismon and AxeKnightmon. The likes of Team Rocket, Team Magma, and Team Aqua have all met their ends from this young trainer, Sora Ketchum. We know he is on our side as he had led the attack on Team Rocket and thwarted the Brotherhood of Darkness. But as long as evil exists in the world, then so shall we. Our operative, Rocky Beams has made contact, and according to our records, the arrests of J's clients has been an overwhelming success. Unfortunately, our mortal enemies, Team Shadow has been operating from the shadows, tampering with our success. Team Shadow is considering making a contract with Pokémon Hunter J. The top agent is known as Miror B," the leader of PHOP stated, revealing his mugshot. He very tall man who has an afro styled after a Pokéball. He wore flashy golden clothes with glasses. He has been last seen in the area around Snowpoint City. It is vital we get hold of him right away. Team Shadow is a much more major threat than Team Rocket could have been. Keep in mind, Miror B is a skilled Pokémon trainer. And his Ludicolo are forces to be reckoned with."
Over to another location, a banner with a large C. Sitting on a table, are several other people. Miror B is among them. Another is a tall woman who wore a large, pink dress adorned with crystals. She carries a crescent moon on her back and wears layers of pink silk. Another is a very large man with a rather unique appearance. He wore a white jumpsuit and doesn't wear any shoes. He also has red hair and wore some sort of face paint. Another is a tall man that wears a large lab coat. He also wears shades and has long, black hair. Another is a young woman with long light pink hair in pigtails and green eyes. She also wore a white dress with a lavender line in the center, and lavender leg-length boots. a muscular man that wears glasses. He is seen having an ape-like stance and is seen carrying a large wrench. Another is a tall man that wears a large white coat. He also wears a white suit and a white hat that matches with his clothing. Another is wearing black and blue clothing, and has a pair of visors and blue hair. Another is a man wearing the same clothes, but it's red and has red hair. Another is a young man with black hair, wearing a white buttoned shirt. He wore black shoes. Another is a tall man with a muscular build. His long silver hair has bangs parted to either side of his face.He wore a long black coat with silver pauldrons, black boots and black trousers. The top of his coat is open to reveal his chest, with his leather suspenders crossed over it. Speaking is a man with long and spiked blonde hair with purple bangs.
"Members of Team Shadow, the time is among us. Monitoring the situation, the underground organization Team Galactic is planning to destroy the world and remake it. Without the world, who will we rule it over? PHOP will undoubtedly do what they can stop them. With the right tools and the right Pokémon, we will bring an army of Pokémon and use them to rule the world. And no then, no longer we shall hide from the shadows and into the light," the man said.
Back to Chocovine Town, a young man with disheveled blond hair with spiky layers, came walking down the street. He wore yellow and black shoes, a gauntlet on his left hand and a black glove on the other, a yellow jacket with a white hood, and a blue pauldron and armor over his left arm. The dark dungaree-type outfit he wears over his other clothes is fastened with a black belt that has a metal chain. He spotted Sora heading for the Pokémon Center. He also spotted the Digimon with them.
"That's them, that's them," the young man said. He started to approach the group. "Hey!" Sora stopped and turned around. He saw the young man coming right up to them. "You're Sora Ketchum, right?"
"Yeah. And you are?" Sora asked.
"The name's Tidus. I was wondering maybe, you could have a Pokémon battle with me. One-on-one."
"Sure thing," Sora said.
"Cool! Let's meet in the battlefield," Tidus said. Sora and his friends got to the battlefield to have their battle. Tidus took out a Great Ball and then he threw it. "Let's go! Heatmor!" He threw it and his Heatmor spewed a flame. Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned it.
Heatmor, the Anteater Pokémon
Type: Fire
A flame serves as its tongue, melting through the hard shell of Durant so that Heatmor can devour their insides. There's a hole in its tail that allows it to draw in the air it needs to keep its fire burning. If the hole gets blocked, this Pokémon will fall ill.
"An anteater Pokémon," Sora said to himself, putting his Pokédex away. He took out a Pokéball and threw it. "I know which one I'm using! Go! Inteleon!" Inteleon came on out to battle the anteater Pokémon.
"Heatmor! Start things up with Fire Lash!" Tidus ordered. Heatmore takes out its tongue and heads right at the secret agent Pokémon.
"Dodge and use Snipe Shot!" Sora ordered. Inteleon fires Snipe Shot from his finger and landed Heatmor on the mark.
"Slash!" Tidus ordered. Heatmor came at Inteleon and landed a slash onto him. "Now, use Inferno!" fires Inferno right at Inteleon.
"Water Pulse!" Sora ordered. Inteleon forms Water Pulse and hurls at the attack, making steam. "Now, use Acrobatics." Inteleon comes at Heatmor.
"Dodge and use Slash!" Tidus ordered. Heatmore avoided Inteleon and slashed at him.
"Inteleon! Use Breaking Swipe!" Sora ordered. Inteleon swings his tail at Heatmor. "Now, use Water Pulse!" Inteleon forms Water Pulse and sends it at Heatmor and became confused.
"Heatmor, snap out of it!" Tidus called out.
"Snipe Shot!" Sora ordered. Inteleon fires Snipe Shot and lands a hit onto Heatmor and knocked the anteater Pokémon out.
"Heatmor!" Tidus gasped. He took out his Great Ball and calls Heatmor back and he smiles. "Rest up, Heatmor. You earned it." He walked up to Sora with a smile. "That was a great battle, Sora."
"You too, Tidus," Sora said.
"If you ever wanna have a rematch, just say the word," Tidus said.
"Sure. You do the same, Tidus," Sora said.
Tidus entered the Pokémon Center to have Heatmor healed up and went to a secret spot, making certain, no one was listening. The blonde young man and the black-haired man answered as did the woman with the long black hair, the woman with long brown hair and the girl with the short black hair.
"Anything, Tidus?" THe blonde asked.
"You that kid, Sora, the kid Leomon told us about in the Digital World? I tested him out and he's even better than I thought," Tidus said. "So, Cloud, what word is from Team Shadow?"
"Not a peep yet, other than them hiring Pokémon Hunter J," Cloud said. "Ever since Rocky took that job, PHOP has been working non-stop to round up those jokers."
"They don't seem to understand that Pokémon are not personal things to buy from the maarket. They have thoughts and feelings like people do," the browned haired girl said.
"I'm with Aerith. I can take on J and those bozos she has with her," the youngest girl said.
"Hold up, Yuffie. You need to realize the danger at hand. AxeKnightmon would be there and you wouldn't stand a chance against him," the black-haired man said.
"Whatever, Squall," Yuffie scoffed. "It's not like Tifa would last five seconds against him."
"I don't pick fights I know I'm going to lose," Tifa said.
"Getting to the kid. We know he was there on Iron Island when Team Galactic was there, according to the reports. If they're after Dialga and Palkia, then we have a fight on our hands," Cloud said.
"You know it. I battled him as instructed. But what about Myotismon? There could be other evil Digimon roaming around, like before. Hearthome City was targted when the Resistance Digimon were there," Tidus said.
"Leomon is counting on us to keep an eye on things. Those FlareLizardmon and DarkLizardmon were nasty customers," Yuffie said.
"So, now what?" Tidus asked.
"The Gull WIngs should be there. Yuna is entering the Contest," Aerith said.
"I'll keep my eyes open for them. And I should break contact, because I need to pick up my Heatmor," Tidus said.
"You just want to watch Yuna, right?" Yuffie teased. Tidus blushed as he hung up before Yuffie could make the kissy-kissy sound while he was blushing.
"Geez, Yuffie, she never stops teasing me," Tidus gritted his teeth.
Walking in the Pokémon Center is a young woman that wore a short skirt with a long side being blue with white stripes, and a white top and a symbol on it. She also wore dark blue boots. She has brown hair with a red braid hanging down to her ankles.
One is a an aquatic bird-like Pokémon that resembles a duck or swan chick. Its body is aqua/light blue in color and the fluffy structure that surrounds its plump breast is sky blue. On its head is a heart-shaped, feather-like protrusion. Its bill and feet are yellow. Another is a somewhat fat avian swan-like Pokémon with large amounts of white plumage. It has a long yellow beak with a black cere around it. On its head are several white-colored feathers with a more pointed feature at the top. Just like with most swans, It possess a curved neck. Located on its plump breast are two light-blue feathery figures that are similar to the ones on its head. Its wings, however, are positioned in a way unconventional to birds. Its legs are small and it has dark-colored webbed feet. She went up to Kairi.
"Excuse me, are you entering the contest?" The young woman asked.
"Yes. What about you?" Kairi asked.
"Yes. My name is Yuna," Yuna said.
"Nice to meet you. I'm Kairi," Kairi said.
"Nice to meet you," Yuna said. Ventus looked at the two Pokémon.
"Hey, what are these?" Kairi asked.
"The Pokémon I'm going to use in the Contest. Ducklett and Swanna," Yuna said. Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned Ducklett and Swana.
Ducklett, the Water Bird Pokémon
Type: Water/Flying
They are better at swimming than flying, and they happily eat their favorite food, peat moss, as they dive underwater. When attacked, it uses its feathers to splash water, escaping under cover of the spray.
Swanna, the White Bird Pokémon

Swanna start to dance at dusk. The one dancing in the middle is the leader of the flock. Despite their elegant appearance, they can flap their wings strongly and fly for thousands of miles.
"Another evolution line, so cool," Ventus said.
"Glad you think so," Yuna said.
Walking in the Pokémon Center are two young women. One of them is a slender and athletic teenage girl who has medium-length blonde hair in a high ponytail with two braids hanging down, decorated with orange feathers. Two shorter sections of hair part to her left and frame her face. A pair of bobby pins, one blue and one green, crisscross the left side. She also has green eyes with swirled pupils. She wore a yellow tank top, exposing her midriff and navel and wearing an orange skirt with a yellow ribbon on the hip, and also wore white leg-length stockings. Another has red eyes and short, silver hair.She wore a black a tank top with visible shoulder straps and her boots. She wore black shorts with a red belt. With them are four Pokémon. One of them is a small bird-like Pokémon. It is covered in fluffy pink feathers, and on its face it bears a white beak-like mask. Its eyes are large and red-orange in color, with thick black eyelashes. It has short fluffy wings and a curled tuft of pink feathers atop its head. Below its tiny body it has two small purple feet. Another is a is a bipedal birdlike Pokémon. It is covered in fluffy magenta and violet fur; a puffy cloak of pink downy fluff covers its torso, while its head and extremities are violet. It retains the grey medieval plague doctor mask-based face which it had as. It has bright red eyes with long tufty black eyelashes sprouting from each. It has two wavy fur-covered ears with yellow patterns atop its head. It has short violet paws with small yellow claws and two long purple legs protruding from beneath its cloak of pink fluff. On its back it has two large black tufts resembling a bow. Two more are panda-like Pokémon. One of them is small a little panda Pokémon. It has black and white fur, a chubby body, and has a green leaf sticking out of its mouth. The other huge panda-like Pokémon. It has grey and white fur and a large, fat belly. Its eyes are black and has a branch in its mouth and a furred cape. It looks like it is angered for some reason.
"Yuna," the silver-haired young woman said.
"Rikku, Paine, hey. What took you?" Yuna asked.
"You tell us. You went on ahread of us," Paine said. Rikku looked at Sora and she gasped.
"Hey, aren't you Sora Ketchum? The Pokémon League Champion?" Rikku asked.
"That's me," Sora answered.
"OM-GOSH! I can't believe I'm seeing him in person! I am a super-fan of yours! I know about every Pokémon you have ever caught! I can list them all in no particular order! You got a Dragonite, a Gengar, a Sirfetch'd, a Copperajah, a Poliwra-" Rikku went on when Paine covered her mouth.
"Please don't," Paine said. She turned to Sora. "Sorry about her. She gets like this when she meets someone famous."
"Not a problem," Sora said. "I'm kinda used to it." Rikku took Paine's hand from her mouth.
"And I know who you are! You're Kairi! You're Sora's girlfriend, and traveling companion! I wanted to say that you and he are such a cute couple! SoKai forever!" Paine covered her outh again.
"Must I lecture you again?" Paine asked. Rikku shook her head. "I was hoping I wouldn't." Sora looked at the four Pokémon. He took out his Pokédex and he scanned each one of them.
"Let's see what it has on them," Sora said.
Spriztee, the Perfume Pokémon
Type: Fairy
It emits a scent that enraptures those who smell it. This fragrance changes depending on what it has eaten. In the past, rather than using perfume, royal ladies carried a Spritzee that would waft a fragrance they liked.
Aromatisse, the Fragrance Pokémon
The evolved form of Spritzee
Type: Fairy
It devises various scents, pleasant and unpleasant, and emits scents that its enemies dislike in order to gain an edge in battle. Its scent is so overpowering that, unless a trainer happens to really enjoy the smell, he or she will have a hard time walking alongside it.
Pancham, the Playful Pokémon
Type: Fighting
It does its level best to glare and pull a scary face, but it can't help grinning if anyone pats its head. The face it tries to scare enemies with doesn't intimidate them one bit. Chewing on a leaf is its trademark.
Pangoro, the Daunting Pokémon
The evolved form of Pancham
Type: Fighting/Dark
Although it possesses a violent temperament, it won't put up with bullying. It uses the leaf in its mouth to sense the movements of its enemies. It charges ahead and bashes its opponents like a berserker, uncaring about any hits it might take. Its arms are mighty enough to snap a telephone pole.
"Anyway, I wanted to wish you luck in the Contest tomorrow," Yuna said.
"Thanks, Yuna. I'm looking forward in seeing what you'd do," Kairi said.
The group went off to the messhall for a meal. Yuna turned to the other two.
"You'll be up against the Coordinator who won the Hoenn Grand Festival," Paine said.
"I know. This will be loads of fun," Yuna said.
Elsewhere, a pair of Gazimon were wondering the forest. They heard about Etemon's demise.
"We should find that Sora and Kairi and use them both as scratching posts for what they did to Etemon!" The first Gazimon said.
"Why go through the trouble for him? It's not like he was going to do any special favors for us," the second Gazimon said.
"You know something, you're right. All he ever did was push around around and took it out on us when he was in a bad mood," the first Gazimon said.
"So, instead of tearing them apart, we should do what we always did before the war got started," the second Gazimon suggested.
"If you're thinking what I think you're thinking, then I'm in!" The first Gazimon said.
Both Gazimon found some berries in the forest and started to help themselves.
"If you like berries, then I know the perfect place to get some!" The second Gazimon said. They were both eating the berries, growing around.
On the very next day, it was now time for the Chocovine Pokémon Contest. Yuna Contest attire consisted of a blue top with white ruffles on the front and extended down to her knee on the left side. She wore a short, black lace skirt with a white belt. She wore blue glovelets fastened by black straps. She has black ribbons on her upper arms and knee-high brown boots. She places a Pokéball in a Ball Capsule with a Foamy Seal.
Marian has taken the stage once again. THe crowd applauds as the Chocovine Contest has officially begun. Rikku and Paine sat with Sora, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Jessie, James, Edward, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and the Digimon. Tidus was watching the Contest from a different spot.
"Feel the port winds, the north winds, the wamrth winds, as they carry their songs and dances!It's contest time! Welcome to the Contest, coming and going, Chocovine Town!" Marian announced as the crowd cheered heartily. "Our winning Coordinator will win this: the lovely Chocovine Contest Ribbon!" Ursula walked and and she glares right at Kairi. She glares at her back. Sitting in the judges booth is Contesta, Suziko, and a young woman with wavy rose pink hair and pale aqua eyes. She wore a white bell-sleeved blouse under a skin-tight, sleeveless orange jumpsuit with corset lacing in the front and back and large white buckles on the thighs. She wears a pair of red leather gloves and red ankle boots, and a black choker and a largecrystalsuspended from a long silver pendant. "And now it's time to introduce our judges! First, head of the Pokémon Activities Committee, Mr. Contesta!"
"Thank you, Marian! I'm eager to see nothing but spectacular Pokémon today, I'm sure!" Contesta said.
"Next, is the president of the Pokémon Fan Club, Mr. Suziko!" Marian announced.
"Chocovine Town is remarkable!" Suziko said.
"And last and certainly not least, we have a speciual guerst judge joining us here today! Sarah Garnet Til Alexandros XVII!" Marian announced.
"I hope you're all excited to watch the Contest as me!" Garnet said.
"With the introductions out of the way, let's begin with our first round! The performance round where one Pokémon and Coordinator puts on a show!" Marian announced. "So, please, put your hands together for our first entry! Kairi!" Kairi stepped in with her Pokéball in a Ball Capsule and with a navy Blue Song Seal.
"Showtime, Mr. Rime!" Kairi called out as she threw it and Mr. Rime came on out to perform with navy blue music notes all around. "Light Screen above you!" Mr. Rime uses Light Screen above himself. "Now, start dancing!" Mr. Rime begins dancing on Light Screen. "Ice Shard while you're dancing!" Mr. Rime performs Ice Shard and the crowd were loving it so much.
"Mr. Rime is giving us quite a show! If using Light Screen as a dancing floor is impressive, then we get to see Mr. Rime dancing while using Ice Shard!" Marian announced.
"Reflect!" Kairi ordered. Mr. Rime uses Reflect while he was still dancing and then tap dances some more. "Give a big finale with Sheer Cold!" Mr. Rime does exactly that as Mr. Rime concluded with SHeer Cold. The crowd all applauded for the comedian Pokémon. Kairi curtisees as Mr. Rime takes a bow.
"Mr. Rime's use of of its moves were shown in the most appealing way!" Contesta said.
"That's true! A remarkable dance!" Suziko said.
"This is the first time I have ever seen a Mr. Rime and they're every bit of the unique tap dancers their reputation describes them!" Garnet said.
In the back, Yuna was impressed by Mr. Rime's tap dance performance. Ursula was scoffed.
"Ha! It was adequate. But not good enough for my standards," Ursula said.
"Are you kidding? That was amazing!" Yuna said.
The performances have gone with a Duskull juggling Will-O-Wisp with Psychic, Magcargo using Eruption in an explosiive way, and Marill swirling its tail around in the air.
"And now, it's time for our next Coordinator! It's Yuna!" Marian announced. Yuna came out as she took out her Pokéball and threw it.
"Come out, Ducklett!" Yuna called out as Ducklett came out with a barrage of bubbles. "Begin with Rain Dance!" Ducklett spreads its wings out and forms a rain cloud and started to rain.
"Ducklett begins with Rain Dance!" Marian announced.
"Fire Bubble Beam!" Yuna ordered. Ducklett fires Bubble Beam all around in the air. "And now use Hurricane!" Ducklett flaps its wings and unleashes Hurricane and takes the bubbles in.
"Look at that, folks! Ducklett's use of Hurricane and Bubble Beam! Wonder what Yuna has in store next?" Marian asked.
"Now, use Air Slash!" Yuna ordered. Ducklett flapped its wings again and sends into the storm and it makes a sparkle in the rain.
"And Yuna gives us a dazzling finish with that Air Slash!" Marian announced.
"Rain Dance and Hurricane a common combination, but the use of that combo along with Bubble Beam and Air Slash was outstanding!" Contesta said.
"Remarkable!" Suziko added.
"The way those moves were used was pretty! I loved every minute of it," Garnet said.
"Let's see what our next Coordinator has for us!" Marian announced. And it turns out to be Ursula. She came out with her Pokéball in a Ball Capsule with a Twinkle Seal.
"Sora, my love, I am dedicating this for you!" Ursula said. She threw it. Her Wormadam is a Sandy Cloak Wormadam. "Begin with Confusion!" Wormadam lifts itself up in the air with Confusion. "Nest use Rock Blast!" Wormadam performs Rock Blast and uses the rocks to swirl around itself. It makes a small firework display.
"Looks like Rock Blast really shows what makes it worm of the desert!" Marian announced.
""Great! Sandstorm, now!" Ursula ordered. Wormadam unleashed Sandsotorm all over the stage. "Confusion!" Wormadmam uses the Sandstorm to make a Wormadam out of sand.
"Wow! Wormadam has made a sculpture of itself out of sand!" Marian announced.
"Wrap it up with Captivate!" Ursula ordered. Wormadam releases multiple pink hearts from her body at theSandstorm, dissolving it and making sparkles.
"And an amazing way to end an amazing routine!" Marian announced.
"It is common knwledge that there are three Types of Wormadam, but that performance puts the worm of the desert on front and center! An amazing sight to see!" Contesta said.
"Amazing, also remarkable!" Suziko said.
"It was like they were synchronizing breathing! I loved it completely!" Ursula said.
"And that's it! The end of the first stage!" Marian announced. "The next order of business is to see who will make it into Round 2! Hang tight, everyone! We'll be back with the resuults soon!"
"I gotta hand it to you, Kairi, you're quite the Coordinator," Yuna said.
"Right back at you, Yuna," Kairi said.
"Don't be so sure," Ursual said. "So far, I have only been until now, I have been cut from the finals, but this time will be different. And wouldn't be wonderful if you and I faced off in the finals?" She gave off a snobbish laugh. Kairi's cheeks puffed up.
"I honestly don't care which one of us wins, because I hope one of us beats her just to shut her up," Kairi said.
"Sorry for the wait, everyone! After some careful consideration, we have chosen our eight finlists in the Chocovine Pokémon Contest! And here they are!" Marian announced as Kairi, Yuna, and Ursula has entered the second round. The computer has selected Kairi was having her battle first as Yuna was having hers seond, and Ursula was having hers fourth. Kairi has chosen Drifloon and she has beaten a Coordinator with a Torracat. Yuna has sent out her Swana and she has defeated a Coordinator with a Hippopotas. Ursula sent her Gabite against a Hariyama and beaten it. "And now, it's time for our next round! It's Kairi and Yuna!" Kairi and Yuna were on opposite sides of the battlefield. "Five minutes on the clock and go!" The clock starts running.
"Go! Drifloon!" Kairi called out, throwing her Pokéball. Her Pokéball is in a black Smoke Seal. Drifloon comes out from a cloud of black smoke.
"Go! Swana!" Yuna called out as Yuna has hers in a Ball Capsule with a Foamy Seal. Swana came out in barrage of bubbles. "Swana! Use Ice Beam!" The swan-like Pokémon fires Ice Beam at the balloon Pokémon.
"Drifloon! Block with Omnious Wind!" Kairi ordered. Drifloon unleashes Omnious Wind and it cuts through Ice Beam and struck Drifloon.
"Swana starts off with Ice Beam, but Drifloon counters with Omnious Wind!" Marian announced. Yuna has lost a little bit of points with her counterattack.
"Now, use "Will-O-Wisp!" Kairi ordered. Drifloon uses Will-O-Wisp and sends it right at Swana.
"I know what you're trying to do, Kairi! It won't work! Hail!" Yuna ordered. Swana unleashed a hail storm and Drifloon is struck by the ice. Swana is also struck by the hail. Both Kairi and Yuna had lost some points.
"Kairi and Yuna are both losing points with Hail! Unless they're both Ice Types, Drifloon and Swana will continue to take damage!" Marian annoucned.
"Now, use Air Slash!" Yuna ordered. Swana unleashed Air Slash at the balloon Pokémon.
"Drifloon! Use Will-O-Wisp again!" Kairi ordered. Drifloon unleashed Will-O-Wisp again and sends it right at Swana and this time it hits. Swana is now taking some burns.
"Swana is now taking some hits now! Both from Hail and from the burs, it's suffering from!" Marian announced.
"Not bad, Kairi! Swana! use Ice Beam!" Yuna ordered. Swana fires Ice Beam again.
"Dodge and use Gust!" Kairi ordered. Drifloon dodges and unleashes Gust and it struck the swan-like Pokémon. "Gyro Ball!" Drifloon comes at Swana with Gyro Ball and lands a hit. Yuna has lost some more points and it was a minute left on the clock.
"These two are giving each other a battle! Not one of them is backing away!" Marian announced.
"Swana! Air Slash!" Yuna ordered.
"Drifloon! Gust and Omnious Wind!" Kairi ordered. Drifloon spins around and unleashed both wind attacks. Gust and Omnious Wind combines together and it literally takes Swana into a spin. There was thirty seconds left.
"Incredible! Drifloon has unleashed both Gust and Omnious Wind into one huge twister! So amazing! Can Yuna make a comeback in less than thirty seconds?!" Marian announced. Yuna was amazed and impressed by Kairi's resolve.
"Swana! Air Slash!" Yuna ordered. Swana uses Air Slash to cut through the Gust and Omnious Wind combo attack. "Now, use Ice Beam!" Swana fires Ice Beam again.
"Dodge and use Gyro Ball!" Kairi ordered. Drifloon spins around again and comes at Swana and lands a hit. The clock has run out.
"And time! The next Coordinator who will be moving on in the final round will bee..." Marian paused to show that Yuna had a little less points than Kairi did. "It's Kairi and her fabulous Drifloon!" The crowd cheered hard. Kairi and Yuna walked up to each other and shook hands.
"Good work, Kairi," Yuna said.
"You almost had me. You're pretty tough," Kairi said.
"Back at you," Yuna said.
Ursula has bested her opponent. It was a Coordinator with a Carnivine. It was now time for the final round.
"Not only will I win the Contest, but I win the heart of Sora Ketchum as well," Ursula said in her thoughts.
"Okay, Ursula, it's time to take you down," Kairi said in her thoughts.
"And now the Chocovine Contest moves into its final round! We present our two final Coordinators, Kairi and Ursula!"Marian announced. "The time will be five minutes!" Kairi and Ursula took out their Pokéballs and threw them.
"Go! Drifloon!" Kairi called out. Drifloon emerges from his Pokéball and then came out in white smoke.
"Now, Gabite, go!" Ursula calle out, letting Gabite out to battle. Gabite came out in a sream of music notes.
"It's Drifloon vs Gabite! One Pokémon is in the air and one Pokémon is on the ground! Which one will be the winner?" Marian asked.
"Sora will be mine! Gabite! Use Dragon Claw!" Ursula ordered. Gabite comes at Drifloon with her claws ready to slice the balloon Pokémon
"Dodge it, Drifloon!" Kairi called out. Drifloon avoids Gabite, but Ursula grinned.
"There's no escaping Gabite's speed!" Ursula said. And she was right, because Gabite lands a hit onto Drifloon with Dragon Claw.
"Use Omnious WInd!" Kairi ordered. Drifloon fires Omnious WInd at Gabite.
"Aerial Ace!" Ursula ordered. Gabite lands Aerial Ace on the balloon Pokémon. The hits kept on coming as Kairi kept losing points.
"Gabite's using its extreme long body to its advantage, landing hit after hit!" Marian announced.
"No way Drifloon is going to be able to show any appeal in this round! It looks like the appeal goes to Gabite alone!" Ursula said in her thoughts.
"Will-O-Wisp! Kairi ordered. Drifloon summons Will-O-Wisp and sends it right at Gabite.
"Use Aerial Ace!" Ursula ordered. Gabite lands Aerial Ace onto Drifloon as Will-O-Wisp has missed. Kairi was losing and she had to think fast to turn this around and fast.
"Less than two minutes remaining!" Marian announced.
"I don't even need half that! This battle's almost over!" Ursula said. "Wipe out that Drifloon with Stone Edge!" Gabite unleashes Stone Edge at the balloon Pokémon.
"Gyro Ball!" Kairi ordered. Drifloon spins around and around, reducing the stones into dust. Ursula sneered and then regains her posture.
"She got lucky. Gabite! Dragon Rage!" Ursula ordered. Gabite unleashes Dragon Rage and sends it right at Drifloon.
"Gust!" Kairi ordered. Drifloon fires Gust and it cuts through Dragon Rage.
"Dragon Claw!" Ursula ordered. Gabite comes at Drifloon with Dragon Claw. Drifloon dodges and wraps his string-like arms around Gabite's claws.
"What's this?! Drifloon is using its strings to stop Gabite's Dragon Claw! I never seen anything like this! brave and courageous! Simply amazing!" Marian announced. The clock has one minute remaining.
"Way to go, Drifloon! That's the way!" Kairi said.
"Thirty seconds left on the clock!" Marian announced.
"Stone Edge, let's go!" Gabite unleashes Stone Edge at Drifloon again.
"Gyro Ball!" Kairi ordered. Drifloon spins around and shatters the stones into dust, just like before. "Gust and Omnious Wind!" Drifloon unleashes both attacks at once.
"I'm through playing around! Dragon Rage!" Ursula ordered. Gabite unleashed Dragon Rage, but it wasn't enough to break through Drifloon's combo attack and lands a hit onto her. The clock has run out.
"Time's up! Who gets the Chocovine Ribbon?!" Marian asked. The computer shows that Kairi has a little more points than Ursula does. "And the winner is Kairi!" The crowd cheers on as Drifloon has started to evolve. The crowd were amazed to see the sudden evolution. Drifloon has now become a Drifblim. "Look at that! Drifloon has evolved into a Driblim! All that battling has helped out with its evolution!" The crowd cheers some more as Drifblim into his arms.
"You were wonderful, Drifblim!" Kairi said. The newly evolved Drifblim beamed. Ursula growled, feeling annoyed that she lost.
"The perfect example of being saved by the bell. You win this time, Kairi, but at least I'll see you in the Grand Festival," Ursula said. Gabite comes up to her and she affectionatley nuzzles her. "Dear, Gabite, you just amazing out there."
"Yes! Kairi now has five Ribbons! She can get in the Grand Festival!" Ventus said.
"I knew she could do it!" Sora said.
"Wow, she did better than the first contest we did," Jessie said.
"Oh, you mean when you tried to get Seviper to use Sacred Fire. I think you know what I mean, Mademoiselle Jessica," Sora scoffed. Jessie looked right at him, giving her a grin.
"You knew that was me?" Jessie asked.
"Yeah. You should have already known I would see through your tricks by then. What made it obvious is your hairstyle, your voice, and the obvious alias," Sora said.
"Like you wouldn't do that!" Jessie said.
"I would try not to make it that obvious," Sora said.
"Even I know he's got you there," Meowth said.
"Why you little," Jessie playfully chuckled. The old Jessie would have snapped Sora for that.
Kairi stood before the judges as she is presented her fifth and final Contest Ribbon.
"Here's Mr. Contesta to present our big winner with Chocovine Ribbbon to Kairi!" Marian announced.
"Congratulations, Kairi. And much luck in the future!" Contesta said. Kairi accepts her Ribbon.
"Thank you," Kairi said. "And this makes five."
"And with that, ladies and gentlemen, we bring the curtain down on another exciting action-packed Chocovine Contest! I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did, and I'll see you all next time!" Marian announced.
With that done, Yuna congratulated Kairi on her win in the Contest.
"Again, congratulations, Kairi. Now, that you have five Ribbons, that means you qualify for the Grand Festival," Yuna said.
"Thanks a lot, Yuna. What are you going to do?" Kairi asked.
"Just go compete in another Contest," Yuna said.
"Yeah, we have so uch fun doing so," Rikku said.
"And someone has to keep Rikku in line in case she goes crazy seeing another celebrity," Paine said.
"See ya!" Rikku said as the three young women took their leave. Sora and his friends turned to Jessie, James, and Edward.
"What are you going to do?" Sora asked.
"Explore more of Sinnoh as a familiy. And maybe we would run into each other again," Jessie said.
"Nowadays, I don't mind," Sora said.
"And you twelve going to keep an eye on them still?" James asked.
"You know we will," Agumon said.
"Also, keep your eyes open for any evil DIgimon lurking around," Veemon said.
"Don't worry, we will. And if we see any, we'll let you know," James said.
Over to Yuna, Rikku, and Paine, Tidus had caught up with them.
"Hey, Yuna!" Tidus greeted.
"Tidus! Were you watching the COntest the whole time?" Yuna asked.
"Yeah. Gotta hand it to you, you were great out there," Tidus said.
"Thanks. It was loads of fun. And I could have won another Ribbon," Yuna said.
"Don't sweat it," Tidus said.
"Anything from PHOP, Tidus asked.
"Team Galactic is still at it, and Team Shadow is planning to hire a Pokémon Hunter calling herself J. And some evil DIgimon still out and about," Tidus said.
"While we're passing ourselves off as regular trainers, Team Shadow is plotting something huge," Rikku said. "You think Team Shadow will side with Team Galactic?"
"Unlikely. They can't rule over a rule if there's no world to rule," Paine said.
"She's right. We'll keep an eye out for any Team Shadow agents; same for any Team Galactic agents and evil Digimon," Yuna said.
Back to the group, they make their departure to Snowpoint CIty after a slight detour in a Pokémon Contest. And now Kairi has all five Ribbons she needed, so now Sora's Gym battles are the most important. Not only that, the mysterious band of trainers identities has been revealed, along with another new threat. Just who is this Team Shadow and what sort of plans do they have? Will they side with Myotismon in order to take over the world, or will they betray him, or maybe he'll betray them? So much will be revealed as we press on.
