Episode 383: Beauty or the Beast
After defeating Ogremon, Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, and Meowth continue on their way to Snowpoint City. Sora had exchanged Cinderace, Drapion, Inteleon, and Bastiodon for Monferno, Grotle, Prinplup, and Staravia. Kairi had exchanged Lopunny, Drifblim, Mr. Rime, Jolteon, and Flareon for Combee, Happiny, Glameow, the West Sea Shellos, and Graveler. Unknown to the group, a young man who has layered blond hair tied into a short ponytail. He has blue eyes. He wore a white sleeveless shirt under a short teal vest topped with leather accents at the shoulders and back, while the front has a lacy white jabot topped with a green ribbon tied in a bow. He also wore blue jodhpur pants, a tan belt, light green gloves with large blue cuffs, and a pair of light green and white cuffed ankle boots with a low heel. He sports a brown sheath on his left hip for his Pokéball.As they kept going, he jumps from his hiding place and takes out a Pokéball.
"Hey there! You Sora Ketchum, the Pokémon League Champion?" The young man asked.
"Yeah?" Sora replied.
"Good, because I have been hearing all about you. The name's Zidane Tribal. A traveling Pokémon trainer, just like you," Zidane said.
"Nice to meet you, Zidane," Sora greeted.
"What brings you out here?" Ventus asked.
"Just looking for a trainer to battle. And much to my surprise, it's Sora Ketchum. So, how about we have a battle?" Zidane challenged.
"Sure. How do you wanna do it?" Sora asked.
"I was thinking of having a six-on-six battle. What do you say?" Zidane asked.
"Sure thing," Sora said. I could use some excercise for my upcoming Gym battle." Zidane and Sora took their positions for battle. Zidane took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Simisage!" Zidane called out. The Pokéball opens and unleashed a a large monkey-like Pokémon. It has a large green bush of hair, resembling the hair of Elvis Presley on the top of its head which has three yellow circles on it; the middle spot is bigger than the others. It has large monkey-like ears and big bushy white eyebrows. It has a long green tail and has fuzzy, white fur around its shoulders. Both of its hands are yellow and so are its three-toed feet. It appears to be wearing green pants, as its leafy green fur covers its legs and part of its belly. Simisage's torso is yellowish tan in color like its hands and feet. Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned it.

Type: Grass
Ill tempered or when it is in a fight with an enemy, it fights by swinging its barbed tail around wildly. The leaf growing on its head is very bitter.
"I'm not sure I wanna find out what that leaf tastes like," Sora said. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it. "You're in first, Monferno!" He threw it and Monferno came on out to battle. "Monferno! Start things up with Mach Punch!" Monferno dashed right at Simisage with a punch.
"Simisage! Use Power-Up Punch!" Zidane ordered. Simisage came at Monferno and both landed a punch. Simisage's attack has increased greatly. "Now, use Rock Slide!" Simisage forms rocks and hurls them down at Monferno.
"Dodge and use Flame Wheel!" Sora ordered. Monferno avoids the rocks coming down and rolls into a wheel of fire. Simisage took a hit from Flame Wheel.
"Simisage! use Shadow Claw!" Zidane ordered. Simisage came at Monferno with Shadow Claw. Monferno took a bad hit.
"Monferno! Use Flamethrowwer!" Sora ordered. Monferno fires Flamethrower.
"Dodge an use Energy Ball!" Zidane ordered. Simisage avoids Flamethrower and fires Energy Ball at the playful Pokémon.
"Dig!" Sora ordered. Monferno dug into the earth to avoid Energy Ball.
"Monferno has got to come out from somewhere," Zidane said. Monferno did come out and landed a hit onto Simisage. "Flamethrower!" Monferno fires Flamethrower right at Simisage. "Now, use Mach Punch!" Monferno lands a punch onto Simisage and earned a knockout. Zidane calls Simisage back after taking some damage.
"Get some rest, Simisage. You earned it," Zidane said. He took out a Pokéball and threw it. "Your turn now, Ambipom!" He threw it and Ambipom came on out to battle. Sora calls Ambipom back and took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Staravia!" Sora called out. The Pokéball opens and lets out Staravia. "Staravia! Use Quick Attack!" Staravia dashed right at Ambipom.
"Ambipom, use Double Hit!" Zidane ordered. Ambipom lands a couple of hits onto Staravia. "Now, use Ice Punch!" Ambipom heads for Staravia with Ice Punch.
"Aerial Ace!" Sora ordered. Staravia avoids Ambipom's Ice Punch and lands a hit onto Ambipom.
"Ambipom! Use Tail Slap!" Zidane ordered. Ambipom smacks Staravia silly with its two tails. "Now, use Ice Punch!"
"Staravia! Dodge and use Brave Bird!" Sora ordered. Staravia avoids Ice Punch and comes at Ambipom with Brave Bird. Ambipom had taken so much damage, and so did Staravia from recoil damage. Staravia started to evolve. Staravia was now a Staraptor. "Wow! Staraptor!"
"Pika," Pikachu said. Zidane calls Ambipom back.
"Get some rest, Ambipom. You earned it," Zidane said. He took out another Pokéball and threw it. "Your turn now, Simisear!"
The Pokéball unleashes a bipedal monkey-like Pokémon. Most of its fur is fiery reddish in color, and it has yellowish tan fur on its face, belly, fingers, and toes. It has ovular eyes with black pupils, a round black nose, and long rounded ears (with orange insides) that are quite large compared to the size of its head. Unlike, Simisear has more hair atop its head; the tufts of red fur on its head resemble flames. Its thin arms protrude from shoulders that are covered in fluffy white fur that resemble clouds of steam, alluding to its fiery, volcanic nature. It has thick furry red tail that resembles a swirling flare of red flames. It has a plump, rounded belly that is mostly yellowish-tan; the lower part of its belly is red with a zigzagging pattern separating it from the tan fur on its upper belly. Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned it.
Simisear, the Ember Pokémon

Type: Fire
When it gets excited, embers rise from its head and tail and it gets hot. For some reason, it loves sweets. A flame burns inside its body. It scatters embers from its head and tail to sear its opponents.
Sora calls back Staraptor and took out his next Pokéball and threw it.
"Your turn, Prinplup!" Sora called out. Prinplup emerged from his Pokéball and got ready to battle. "Prinplup! use Hydro Pump!" Prinplup fires Hydro Pump at Simisage.
"Dodge and use Fire Punch!" Zidane ordered. Simisear avoids Hydro Pump and came at Prinplup with Fire Punch. Simisage successfully landed a hit. "Another Fire Punch, Simisear!" Simisear comes at the penguin Pokémon with Fire Punch.
"Metal Claw!" Sora ordered. Prinplup comes at Simisear with Metal Claw and blocked it. "Bubble Beam!" Prinplup fires Bubble Beam right at Simisear with a barrage of bubbles. "Now, use Drill Peck!" Prinplup gave Simisear with Drill Peck. Simisear had been taken down. Zidane calls back Simisear and he takes out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Your turn, Simipour!" Zidane called out. The Pokéball opens and lets out a bipedal monkey-like Pokémon that shares its design theme with Simisage and Simisear. Its hair is voluminous, with numerous long blue locks sprouting from its head, which curl at the ends, resembling spouts of water flowing from a fountain. Also just like Panpour it too has a mostly cyan blue body; the top of its head, its hair, ears, torso, and tail tip are cyan, while its arms, legs, face, and abdomen are yellowish tan. It has rounded ears with light blue insides, ovular eyes that appear closed (giving it a cheerful, smiling appearance), and a round black nose. It has a white and blue apron-like shag of fur covering its chest and extending down to its abdomen. Its tail is tan with a tuft-like blue tip. Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned it.

Type: Water
The high-pressure water expelled from its tail is so powerful, it can destroy a concrete wall. It prefers places with clean water. When its tuft runs low, it replenishes it by siphoning up water with its tail.
Sora puts his Pokédex away and took out his next Pokéball and threw it.
"Your turn, Thwackey!" Sora called out. Thwackey came out to battle. "Razor Leaf!" Thwackey fires Razor Leaf right at Simipour.
"Dodge and use Ice Beam!" Zidane ordered. Simipour fires Ice Beam at the beat Pokémon.
"Dodge and use Double Hit!" Sora ordered. Thwackey took his sticks to give Simipour a couple of hits, but Simipour lands a hit onto Thwackey. He gritted his teeth, feeling the intense cold. Thwackey then started to evolve. Thwackey had now become a Rillaboom. The newly evolved Rillaboom took a tree and carved it into a drum.
"Thwackey is now a Rillaboom!" Kairi said.
"Cool!" Ventus exclaimed happily.
"Wow, a Rillaboom! I want one!" Zidane said in a tone of envy.
"Thwackey evolved. That means, a brand new move Rillaboom! Use Drum Beating!" Sora ordered. Rillaboom took his drumsticks and started to bang on the drums. Thorny roots come out and landed a hit onto Simipour.
"Not bad! Simipour! Use Scald!" Zidane ordered. Simipour fires Scaled right at Rillaboom.
"Dodge and use Drain Punch!" Sora ordered. Rillaboom lands a punch onto Simipour and regains some stamina. "Now, use Double Hit!" Rillaboom smacked Simipour with Double Hit. "Wrap it up with another Brum Beating!" Rillaboom beats his dru again and unleashes the thorny roots and struck Simipour, landing a knockout. "Way to go, Rillaboom!" Rillaboom pounds his chest in victory. Zidane calls Simipour back.
"Rest up, Simpour. You earned it," Zidane said. He took out his next Pokéball. "Now, here's number ive! Go! Passimian!" He threw it and Passimian came on out. Sora calls Rillaboom back and took out his next his next Pokéball.
"Go! Grotle!" Sora called out. Grotle came out to battle. "Razor Leaf!" Grotle fires Razor Leaf right at Pssimian.
"Dodge and use Low Sweep!" Zidane ordered. Passimian avoids Grotle's Razor Leaf and lands a kick onto Grotle's legs.
"Grotle! Energy Ball!" Sora ordered. Grotle fires Energy Ball at Passimian.
"Dodge and fire Hyper Beam!" Zidane ordered. Passimian fires Hyper Beam at Grotle and deals heavy damage. Grotle had been taken down with a powerful hit. Sora calls Grotle back.
"Get some rest, Grotle. Can't win 'em all," Sora said. Zidane calls Passimian back.
"Good job, Passimian. Glad I taught Hyper Beam to you," Zidane said. He looked right at Sora. "You're every bit of a trainer as people says you are. Now, here's my sixth Pokémon." He took out another Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Darmanitan!" Darmanitan came on out to battle. Sora looked right at his partner.
"You're up, Pikachu," Sora said.
"Pika, Pika," Pikachu said, stepping in to battle.
"Darmanitan! Use Fire Punch!" Zidane ordered. Darmanitan comes at Pikachu with Fire Punch.
"Dodge and use Quick Attack!" Sora ordered. Pikachu dodged Darmanitan's Fire Punch. Darmanitan kept punching and punching. Darmanitan landed a successful punch. "Pikachu!"
"That was great, Darmanitan! Now use Mega Punch!" Zidane ordered. Darmanitan came at Pikachu with a powerful punch.
"Dodge and use Quick Attack!" Sora ordered. Pikachu dodged and jumped. "Thunderbolt!" Pikachu gave Darmanitan a shock with a powerful Thunderbolt.
"Darmanitan! Use Fire Fang!" Zidane ordered. Darmanitan came at Pikachu with Fire Fang.
"Dodge and use Iron Tail!" Sora ordered. Pikachu avoided Darmanitan's Fire Fang and landed a hit with Iron Tail. "Now, use Volt Tackle!" Pikachu dashed right at Darmanitan with Volt Tackle. Darmanitan took a heavy hit and transformed into its Zen Mode.
"Did Darmanitan just evolve?" Agumon asked.
"No. Darmanitan has changed into its Zen Mode," Aqua said.
"Zen Mode?" Biyomon asked.
"Zen Mode is something that happens when Darmanitan has taken lots of damage in battle. In this form, Darmanitan is a Fire Type and a Psychic Type," Terra said.
"Use Psychic!" Zidane ordered. Darmanitan uses Psychic to lift itself up.
"I've seen this before!" Kairi said. Darmanitan came down hard at Pikachu.
"Dodge and use Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu avoids Darmanitan darting at him. Pikachu then fires Thunderbolt right at Darmanitan. "Now, use Iron Tail!" Pikachu swings his tail and struck Darmanitan. Darmanitan has been brought down. Zidan calls Darmanitan back into its Pokéball and went up to Sora.
"That was a great battle, Sora," Zidane said.
"You too," Sora said, shaking his hand.
Over in Myotismon's hiding place, Ranamon is taking a swim in a small pond. It didn't take long for word to get around that Ogremon was second to fall in battle.
"First that annoying monkey, Etemon, is scrapped on Iron Island, and now, Ogremon had been cut down to size by the same annoying band of kiddies. Those Resistance losers have gotten stronger, I can give them that, but they're still no match for me. But I just then to soften them up first. But how and who? Can't use any Digimon against them, because they're going to get wise to us fast. Maybe, someone who lives close to where Ogremon was last seen," Ranamon said. She went to a laptop close to her pond. "Now, to find someone to use. Someone who would do anything for a pretty face. Someone who is pathetic. Someone who is a complete loser. And someone dumb enough to do what I ask. Now, to find that someone." He searched for someone, and it turned out to be a young man, going up to a young woman with brown hair. "Wonder if he's someone I'm looking for?"
"Hey there, baby girl. How about you and me go out on a date? I'll show you the time of your life," the young man flirted.
"The day I ever date you is when Grimer smells like soap!" The young woman snapped at him, pushing him aside.
"Hm, he seems hopless. Better keep watching," Ranamon said. The young man tried again. He went up to a blonde.
"Hey beautiful, how about you and I have ourselves a rendezvous, tween me and you?" The young man flirted.
"Get lost, you loser!" The blonde told him, pushing him off.
"Yeah well, your loss, honey!" The young man shouted.
"Hm, he seems rather pathetic enough. And he looks like he could do anything to for a pretty face; my pretty face of course. And he defiently looks stupid enough. He's perfect!" Ranamon said. "Now, to see his name." She looked at the name. "Hm, Cranston. Beggers can't be choosers." Ranamon got to work.
Cranston kept hitting on girls from left-to-right, but he kept getting rejected from left-to-right.
"Man, why is it so hard to get a date? I mean, all I want is someone who will be my soulmate. Is that so wrong? Is it too much to ask? It's not like some cute girl is just going to just appear out of nowhere," Cranston sighed. He heard a whistle behind him. He quickly turned to see Ranamon, appearing before him.
"Hello there!" Ranamon greeted. Cranston's heart started to beat faster than normal and his pupils turn into eyes.
"Oooh! I don't believe it! She's the cutest girl I have ever seen! She's oozing with sex appeal!" Cranston exclaimed in his thoughts, captivated by her beauty. He looked right into her eyes and they sparkled like rubies. He even got a look at her breasts, and they bounced.
"I knew it! He's liking everything he's seeing! Ooh, this just like taking candy from a baby! This horny loser is falling for my charming good looks and my flesh like a ton of bricks! Ooh, I'm just so pretty, it should be considered a crime! If I could, I think I could just marry myself!" Ranamon said in her thoughts. She spoke out loud, "Like what you see, Cranston?"
"Who are you? And how do you know my name?" Cranston asked.
"Who me? Just someone who had her eye on you for quite some time. But you can call me Ranamon," Ranamon said in a flirting tone.
"Ranamon? You're a Digimon?" Cranston asked.
"Not only that, but the most beautiful Digimon there is," Ranamon said. Cranston felt his knees shaking.
"I'll say you are! I wonder if there are other Digimon that are sexy as you," Cranston said in his thoughts.
"And I have to say, of all the human males on this world, you are by the far the most handsome. You drive me wild," Ranamon flirted. She slowly approached him, swaying her hips. She was hoping she was seducing him good.
"You think I'm handsome? No one's ever called me that before," Cranston said, blushing.
"Now someone has," Ranamon said in a seductive tone. "I have a favor to ask you. Won't you?"
"Oh, I'd do anything you want. Just just name it!" Cranston said.
"Good. You see, there's a meanie out there who has been making me so miserable. Not just him, but his awful friends, too," Ranamon said, pretending to cry.
"Oh, now, now, dry those tears. I'll make those scoundrels pay for it! Just tell me the name of those bullies and I'll set them straight!" Cranston said.
"Oh, you would do that for little ol' me? Oh, you're so sweet," Ranamon said. "The bullies go by the names of Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, and Aqua. They have a Pikachu, an Eevee, a talking Meowth, and twelve other horrid Digimon with them. I will ever be so grateful if you taught those meanies."
"Will you be my girlfriend?" Cranston asked.
"Sure. I can do that," Ranamon said. She said in her thoughts, "Once he fulfills his goal, I'll send him packing and Myotismon will reward me." She chuckled evilly.
"Can I have a little kiss for luck?" Cranston asked, preparing to get a kiss from her. She places her finger.
"Nuh-uh-uh. You have a favor to do. Until it's done, no sugar, sugar," Ranamon said.
"Okay, I'll go find those guys and teach them a lesson!" Cranston said, heading off to deal with Sora and his friends. She waited until he was out of earshot.
"What an idiot," Ranamon commented. "This is working even better than I thought. He would do anything for a pretty face, a pair of Digitits, and Digiass! As if he's got a chance to cop a feel with me." She laughed again.
"Thy charms do thee well," Mercurymon said, suddenly appearing.
"Mercurymon? You've been there long?" Mercurymon asked.
"Thy powers of seduction never fails to work for thee. Thou art quite an actress, even I almost believed a word of it," Mercurymon said.
"It works when you know how to use it. Guys like him would do anything for a pretty girl, and no girl comes close to being prettier than me," Ranamon said.
"If thou art not careful, thy plan will fail," Mercurymon warned her.
"Oh, what do you know, shiny? I can handle it," Ranamon said.
Meanwhile in a forest, Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and the Digimon all continued on their way to Snowpoint City. Kairi has come across a Chatot. Kairi took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Graveler!" Kairi called out. Graveler came out to battle.
"Graveler!" Graveler called out.
"Greavler! Graveler!" Chatot repeated.
"Graveler! Use Fire Punch!" Kairi ordered. Graveler gave Fire Punch to land a punch onto Chatot. "Now use Rock Throw!" Graveler!"
"Now use Rock Throw! Now use Rock Throw!" Chatot repeated. Chatot got hit by the rocks. "Rock Throw! Rock Throw!" Chatot started to babble and send out a soundwave. Graveler became confused by the sound of the chatter.
"What is that?" Ventus asked.
"That's a move called Chatter. Chatot is the only Pokémon that can use that move. Chatter may confuse the target," Terra said.
"Confuse the target! Confuse the Target!" Chatot repeated.
"Graveler! Rock Throw again!" Kairi ordered. Gravler rolled around asends out rocks to pelt the music note Pokémon. Chatot came down at Graveler with Steel Wing, but got hit by the rocks.
"Good work, Graveler!" Kairi praised.
"Good work, Graveler! Good work, Graveler!" Chatot repeated.
"Now, use Stone Edge!" Kairi ordered. Graveler sends out Rock Slide and it lands some hits on Chatot. Kairi took outaPokéball and threw it. Chatot flows inside and the Pokéball wobbles around and around. Stars swirls around the Pokéball to confirm the catch. Kairi's Pokémon Box activates and it asks her if she wants to keep Chatot with her. She chose to send Chatot to Professor Oak's lab. "Good job, Gravler. I knew you would get the job done."
"Gravel," Gravler said. He then started to evolve. Graveler was now a Golem.
"You're a Golem now!" Kairi praised.
"Golem!" Golem beamed.
Cranston eventually finds the group. He is hiding in the shrubs, spying on them.
"That's gotta be them. But how am I certain?" Cranston asked.
"That was a great catch, Kairi," Sora praised his girlfriend.
"Thank you, Sora," Kairi said.
That struck a cord with him since they were the people Ranamon had told them about.
"So, it is them! The band of bullies Ranamon told me about! Those bullies are going to pay for making that cute girl cry," Cranston vowed.
"Now, we should keep going. We might get close to Snowpoint City by nightfall," Terra said.
"Good idea. I just hope we don't run into any problems on the way," Agumon said.
"Me too. I mean, dealing with some crazy Digimon like Ogremon is not part of how I wanna travel," Meowth said. Cranston came out of hiding.
"Stop right there!" Cranston shouted. The group all turned in surprise to see Cranston run right towards them. He panted in anger as he glares at the group. "YOU BAND OF VILLAINS!"
"Is he talking to us?" Ventus asked.
"We are the only ones here," Veemon said.
"I have you bullies right where I want you!" Cranston said.
"Okay, I don't know what we did, but we're sorry, okay. We'll just keep on going and forget it ever happened," Sora said.
"Don't you play innocent with me! And it's too alte to apologize! You villains have attacked an innocent girl and made her cry! And if there's one thing I hate, it's people who go and make cute girls cry!" Cranston accused.
"Make who cry? What are you talking about?" Sora asked.
"So, you resorted to playing dumb! That just shows what kind of people you are!" Cranston declared.
"We don't know any cute girl and we didn't do anything to her," Sora said.
"Keep teeling yourself that, but don't give me ketchup and call it mustard! I'm here to set you vile villains straight!" Cranston said.
"Any idea what's he's talking about?" Sora asked.
"Not a single clue," Kairi shrugged her shoulders.
"Vee," Angel said.
"Enough talk! We're goig to have ourselves a Pokémon battle! Right here and now!" Cranston challenged.
"I'm not going to battle you over something so stupid!" Sora said.
"What's stupid that you think you can mess with whoever you want! I won't have it!" Cranston said. "Also, the reason you won't battle me is because you're afraid of losing!"
"It's not that I'm afraid of losing, it's just-" Sora tried to say.
"Battle me now!" Cranston snarled as he took out a Pokéball and threw it. "Mothim! Go!" He threw it and Mothim came on out to battle. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Staraptor!" Sora called out. Staraptor came on out to battle. Ranamon was watching the battle about to begin.
"This should be entertaining. Once Sora's gaurd is down, I'll move right in!" Ranamon said, chuckling.
"Mothim! Shadow Ball!" Cranston ordered. Mothim forms a ball of shadow and sends it at Staraptor.
"Stay put!" Sora called out. Staraptor stayed put. The Shadow Ball didn't do a thing.
"Crap! I forgot! Staraptor is a Normal Type as well as a Flying Type! I should have remembered Shadow Ball would have no effect!" Cranston hissed.
"What is that idiot doing? Is he trying to lose on purpose, or is he just plain stupid?" Ranamon asked.
"Mothim! Use Quiver Dance! And then use Bug Bite!" Cranston ordered. Mothim does a small dance and builds up his speed, special attack, and special defense. Mothim comes at Staraptor with his increased speed.
"Wing Attack!" Sora ordered. Staraptor bats Mothim with Wing Attack. "Now, use Aerial Ace!" Staraptor darts right at Mothim and lands a hit.
"Mothim! Psychic!" Cranston ordered. Mothim uses Psychic and grabs Staraptor with it. Mothim brings Staraptor down. "Now, use Bug Bite!" Mothim charges at Staraptor with Bug Bite.
"Staraptor! Dodge it!" Sora called out. Staraptor avoids Mothim's attack. "Use Quick Attack!" Staraptor lands a hit onto Mothim. "Another Aerial Ace!" Staraptor darts right at Mothim again.
"Get back up, Mothim!" Cranston called out. Mothim struggles to get back up to battle. Sora was dumbfounded by how Mothim just got back up.
"No way! Mothim is still going?!" Sora exclaimed.
"That's right! My Mothim is willing to keep fighting! So, do us both a favor and give it up!" Cranston called out.
"You got to stop now, Cranston! Your Mothim's hurt enough as it is! Look!" Sora said. He points to Mothim and saw how hurt and tired he is.
"My Mothim won't give up! And neither will I!" Cranston stated. "Mothim! Use Bug Bite!" Mothim comes flying at the predator Pokémon.
"Wing Attack!" Sora ordered. Staraptor smacked the moth Pokémon. "Listen, your Mothim had enough."
"I'm not done fighting!" Cranston exclaimed.
"I say you are! You're not thinking of your Mothim! Isn't a trainer's responsibility to think about your Pokémon before winning!" Sora said.
"I don't need to be lectured by the likes of you! Not after what you did!" Cransrton said.
"I keep telling you, we didn't do anything!" Sora exclaimed.
"Yes you did! Ranamon told me about how you did!" Cranston said.
"RANAMON?!" Kairi, Meowth, and the DIgimon all exclaimed.
"Isn't she one of those Digimon that attacked you on Iron Island?" Ventus asked.
"That's her!" Kairi said.
"Ranamon put you up to this?" Sora asked.
"Of course she did! Shetold me all about what you did to her!" Cranston exclaimed.
"She is bad news, man!" Sora said.
"Don't you dare talk crap about her! I'm going to make you pay!" Cranston yelled. Mothim came at Staraptor again, but Staraptor pinned the moth Pokémon down. "Get off my Mothim, you filthy bird!" Gatomon leapt on him and stared right at him. "Get off me!"
"Sleep!" Gatomon said. Cranston fell right to sleep. "That'll keep him quiet for a while."
"I can't believe Ranamon got to him," Sora said. Ranamon growled in frustration.
"I should have known this was going to spring a leak! If ya the job done right, do it yourself!" Ranamon said. Just when the group were about to find her, she appears before them. "Hi, ya'll!"
"Is that her?" Ventus asked. Kairi took out her Digidex and analyzed Ranamon.
"That's her. Ranamon. She's the Legendary Warrior of Water. It says she has a charm that can captivate men and boys. She attacks with Draining Rain," Kairi said.
"So, where are the rest of your buddies?" Meowth asked.
"Probably not far behind, I bet," Palmon said.
"Nope, this is my show. And I'm more than woman enough to take you on," Ranamon said.
"You were using that guy against us?!" Aqua asked.
"Now, you're saying that like it's a bad thing. All I did was tell him that I'll be his girlfriend after he deals with ya'll. You've been a constant thorn on Myotismon's side!" Ranamon said.
"You tricked him! You took advantage of him and used him against us! That's unforgivable!" Kairi declared.
"Why don't ya'll save it for someone who actually cares. I had no intention of dating that hopeless loser. I was gonna wait until you were down on your knees, but I can move now!" Ranamon said, raising her arms. "Draining Rain!" She sends out a rain cloud and it rains on the group, draining their stamina.
"What's happening to us?!" Ventus exclaimed.
"I don't feel so good," Meowth said.
"Now, ya'll see why it's called 'Draining Rain there, sugar. It drains your strength. And that's enough to finish ya'll off!" Ranamon said. "Ranamon Slide evolution... Calamaramon!" She cackles as she glares at them. "Now, to finish you off! Acid In-"
"Hurricane Gale!" A voice called out as a wave of wind comes blowing at Calamaramon.
"Huh?!" Calamaramon exclaimed and she screamed in pain. "What the hell is that?!" Zephyrmon came flying into the scene. "You!"
"Did I come at a bad time? hope I did," Zephyrmon said.
"Zephyrmon!" Everyone cheered.
"You came just in time!" Hawkmon said.
"And so did we!" Kumamon said.
Agunimon, Lobomon, Beetlemon, Loweemon, and Kumamon all show up to assist.
"Thanks," Sora said.
"You don't need to thank us," Agunimon said.
"The fight's just getting started," Lobomon said.
"Ya'll gonna pay for that!" Calamaramon roared.
"Just put it on my tab!" Zephyrmon said. She forms red energy around her talons. "Plasma Paws!" She comes at Calamaramon and she goes down for the count. She growls.
"Calamaramon Slide Evolution... Ranamon!" Ranamon stood back up. "You win this time, sugar, but I'll be back!" Ranamon retreats. Zephyrmon reverts back to Kazemon. She went to the group.
"Glad you're okay," Kazemon said.
"Glad you showed up," Gomamon said.
"Thanks a lot. We would have been goners if you haven't shown up," Tentomon said.
"You don't need to thank us," Beetlemon said.
"What brings you here?" Kairi asked.
"We were looking for you. We were told you were heading for a place called Snowpoint City for a Gym battle," Lobomon said.
"But we figured we catch up with you," Agunimon said. "And a good thing, too."
"I don't think we saw the last of Ranamon. She's going to be back," Aqua said.
"Agreed. The rest will undoubtedly launch their attack after hearing about Etemon and Ogremon," Loweemon said.
"How did you know about that?" Armadillomon asked.
"We heard some talk among Myotismon's army. Some of them mentioned about a fight on an island somewhere. Also, about Ogremon just recently," Agunimon said.
Sora knew they were talking about the battle with Team Galactic, Etemon, and the evil warrior Digimon on Iron Island and Ogremon Digivolving to Boltmon. They knew it was a matter of time before Devimon, Vorvomon, the Dracomon Brothers, and the rest will launch their attacks soon enough.
Zidane is watching them from the trees. With him is an anthromorphic black cat, wearing a red cape, a grown, white gloves, and brown boots.
"That was a close call," the cat said in a Scottish accent.
"Sure was, Cait. I was about to let her have it if that other cutie hadn't shown up," Zidane said.
"Not too shy about the ladies. Anyway, we should report to HQ about this," Cait said.
"Good idea," Zidane said. He accessed his communicator and spoke into it. "Zidane to PHOP HQ, another one of Myotismon's goons was spotted and dealt with," Zidane reported.
"Return to base. We have much to discuss," a voice spoke.
"Roger that, chief," Zidane said. He turned to Cait. "Let's go."
Back to Myotismon's lair, Ranamon was fuming over her defeat.
"I was so close. I was so close to finishing them off and they show up and ruined everything! Ooh! I hate them to pieces! If I had hair, I would tear it out!" Ranamon yelled.
"I warned thee of overconfidence, did I not?" Mercurymon asked.
"Can it, metal head! I'm a foul mood enough!" Ranamon said. Mercurymon said nothing, but he grinned as he took his leave.
Cranston woke up against a tree and looked around.
"Uh, what a weird dream. Wonder what it was about. Oh, well. I'm sure it didn't mean a thing," Cranston said.
We are fastly approaching Snowpoint City, and for Sora's seventh Gym battle. What strategy will Sora have up his sleeve? And what Digimon will launch their attack next? Just you wait and see until the next time.
