Episode 284: A Classroom Training!
After being saved by Ranamon, the warrior Digimon joins Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and the other Digimon for the time being. They made contact with RIku, telling him that he'll be right there, but Riku and Naminé won't be the only ones waiting for them. It turns out that Zoey will be waiting along with the group. Agunimon, Lobomon, Loweemon, Kazemon, Kumamon, and Beetlemon decided to wait outside, just in case of anohter attack.On the way, the group made a stop in a nearby Pokémon Center to rest up and after Kairi was contacted by her grandmother about a package.
"You think your grandma has sent something towards us?" Aqua asked.
"She said she sent it. I wonder how she was going to get it here," Kairi said.
It turns out Kairi's grandmother has asked for the use of Dragonite since Dragonite is the fastest flyer Sora has. Dragonite has flown nonstop towards their current location to deliever the package.
Over to J in the Digital World, AxeKnightmon has allowed J to step out, along with her crew and retake her ship. She was unaware that AxeKnightmon, Lucemon, and the other evil Digimon were all aboard.
"It's back to work, people! And nothing is going to stop us this time! And when we see AxeKnightmon again, then he'll pay!" J said. A Digital Gateway opens up and J's ship enters through. The ship has returned into the real world. A beeping is heard and she answers it. It is the leader of Team Shadow, making contact with her.
"Pokémon Hunter J. Good to finally reach you. I was beginning to have my doubts," the man said.
"Mr. Mateus. A favorite client of mine. I thought you have been arrested," J said.
"I must say I am the only one left. Also, it pains me to inform you that the rest have been rounded up. And the Pokémon you have stoelen for them have been returned to their trainers and your reputation has suffered a critical blow in the criminal underworld. But we still believe in you," Mateus said. "But there is a reason I have made contact with you."
"What?" J asked.
"There is a Pokémon in the ruins near Snowpoint City. I want you to retireve it for me. The Pokémon in question is Regigigas," Matues said.
"The target shall be required, but a Pokémon this of this calibur requires a huge sum of money," J said.
"You will be paid for your trouble, but only after you have accomplished your goals. And not before," Mateus said.
"Of course," J said.
"I shall send you further instructions soon. Until then, meet with me at an undisclosed location. I have sent you the coordinates," Matues said. J has retrieved the coordinates and nodded. Both parties breaks contact as Mateus sat in his chair. Three of his members sat alonsidde him.
"You sure it was wise of you to hire someone so horribly common as a Pokémon Hunter?" The woman asked.
"I am, Lady Venus. Pokémon Hunter J has a record of as the most feared Pokémon Hunter in the Sinnoh region," Mateus said. "Or shall I say formerly feared."
"Her reputation in the Sinnoh criminal underworld has suffered greatly since her arrest at the hands of Sora Ketchum and those Digimon," the man in the glasses said.
"I still don't think that kid is that tough!" THe tattooed face man said.
"Don't be quick to underestimate him, Dakim. And don't forget tht he was the one who destroyed Team Rocket and brought down the Brotherhood of Darkness," the man in the glasses said.
"He's going to be six feet under if he messes with us! And then, I'll show you, Ein!" Dakim said.
"Enough!" Mateus shouted. He turned around. "Ein is right. Team Rocket's downfall is the perfect example of why we should never underestimate our enemies. Sora Ketchum's ambitions are no concern to us, because it is the members of PHOP that we should be concerned about. There is no doubt that it'll draw them out."
"You mean, you did that just to get their attention?" Dakim asked.
"We're defiently going to get their attention, that's for sure," Lady Venus sad.
"Indeed. And that's where we will spring our trap. Snattle, Lovrina, and Gorigan will be there to take them out," Mateus said. The Team Shadow members all laugh as the man with the long silver hair was listening. He walks down the hall as tall man walks by him. He wore a dark blue and black cybernetic armor with gold details and a long cape. The shoulders of his armor are very large and spiked, and he has spikes along his gauntlets and legs. He wears a horned helmet with a thin visor.It was done almost in a Darth Vader style appearance.
"Sephiroth," the armored man said.
"Mateus is making his move, Golbez. He has hired Pokémon Hunter J just as he said he would," Sephiroth said.
"And what of Team Galactic?" Golbez asked.
"Their goals are the same. And we are to make sure their ambitions fail. Go and get Exdeath, Kefka, and Kuja. I'll inform Ultimecia and Jecht," Sephiroth said.
With that said, the Team Shadow members left to recruit their fellow Team Shadow members for the job.
Back to the Pokémon Center they were waiting for the package. Dragonite had arrived witht he package and landed in front of the Pokémon Center. Dragonite let out a cry, alerting the group.
"Dragonite! Kairi's grandma sent you here?" Sora asked, surprised. Dragonite nodded.
"You know this Pokémon?" Agumon asked.
"Sure do. This is Sora's Dragonite. Sora caught him along with his Poliwrath when he was a Poliwag and where Lana caught her Gyarados. Sora's Dragonite was only a Dratini at the time," Kairi explained.
"Thanks a lot, Dragonite," Sora said. Sora oopened the box to see five jackets for the each of them. He took out a note and hands it to Kairi.
Kairi read, "Dear Kairi. I'm sure it'll be cold up in Snowpoint City, so I have sent each of you something to keep warm. We'll be sure to hear from you when you are in the Grand Festival, dear. Love grandma."
"Your grandma sure went through some trouble to send us these," Hawkmon said.
"And knowing grandma, she probably done these herself," Kairi said. "Oh, and before I forget." She wrote a note to her grandmother and handed it to the dragon Pokémon. Be sure you give this to my grandma, Dragonite." Dragonite nodded. Dragonite took flight and started to fly fast for home.
"Thanks, Dragonite!" Sora called out.
"Safe travels!" Ventus added.
Dragonite flew at great speed, returning to Pallet Town. The group have ventured to Snowpoint City Riku, Naminé, Zoey, Eevee, Azurill, Glameow, Guilmon, Terriermon, Renamon, Lopmon, Gaomon, and Lalamon were waiting for the group to arrive.
"Zoey!" Kairi called out to her.
"Sora, Kairi, Ven, Terra, Aqua! It's been a while," Zoey said. She noticed the humanoid Digimon with the group. "Those must be ones you told me about, RIku."
"Yeah. We met them in the Digital World, fighting Machinedramon," Riku said.
"Kairi, I saw that you won your fifth Ribbon. That's great!" Zoey said.
"Thanks, Zoey," Kairi said.
"What about you, Sora? You anymore Gum badges yet?" Zoey asked. Sora took out his Gym badges.
"Sure have," Sora said.
"Nice!" Zoey said.
"Also, we heard about Etemon and Ogremon. Is that right?" Riku asked.
"That's true," Terra said.
"Anyway, changing the subject, how about you show us your hometown," Aqua suggested.
"Sparkling white with snow. Welcome to Snowpoint City," Zoey said. Zoey began to show the group aroun the xnowy city. "The nice thing about Snowpoint CIty that its peace and quiet. The townspeople are peaceful and quiet. I love this town."
"And no wonder," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
Zoey stopped in place when a large Pokémon jumped out of nowhere and attacked. This Pokémon is covered with thick white fur which covers the mouth but the hands and feet are dark green, along with the tail. It has four spikes on its back due to evolution. Their eyes are light purple and their eyebrows are actually large mounts of fur gathered in one place.
"Get back, everyone! Glameow, go!" Zoey called out. Glameow jumped and swung her tail at the ice attack the Pokémon had unleashed. Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned it.

They appear when the snow flowers bloom. When the petals fall, they retreat to places unknown again. It blankets wide areas in snow by whipping up blizzards. It is also known as "The Ice Monster."
"An Abomasnow!" Terra said.
"You still that old gag, Candice?" Riku asked.
Sitting up a branch is a who has black hair tied into pigtails with blue scrunchies and amber eyes. She also has blue pins on both sides of her hair. She wore an elbow-length long sleeved white blouse, a blue bow on her chest, a short brown skirt that reaches her thighs, and a blue cardigan tied around her waist but sometimes when just talking worn on top of her white shirt. She also wore knee-length white and blue striped socks and brown shoes.
"Zo-Zo and Glameow, welcome back!" The girl greeted.
"It's always a wild welcome with you, miss senior!" Zoey said.
"Zo-Zo? Miss Senior?" Sora asked confused.
"You know her?" Aqua asked.
"Yeah. That's Candice. She did the same thing with us. Gaomon gave her Abomasnow a punch for surprising us," Riku said, making Goamon look down at the ground with regret. Candice climbed down and eyed Sora's necklace.
"That is a beautiful necklace! Where did you ever get that?" Candice asked, getting excited.
"I had it for as long I can remember. It belonged to my dad," Sora said.
"If your dad gave it to you, then it must be super special!" Candice said.
"Miss Senior, please control yourself!" Zoey said. Candice calmed down.
"Sorry. Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Candice and I'm the Gym Leader of the Snowpoint City Gym," Candice introduced herself.
"Candice, this is Sora, the trainer we were telling you about. And this is Kairi his girlfriend, his cousin Ventus. The tall guy is Terra and the girl is Aqua," Riku said.
"So, you're the one who's coming here to challenge me into a Gym battle! This is great! I haven't had a battle for a while!" Candice said happily.
"Huh?" Sora asked, dumbfounded.
"Sorry. It's just we live up here in the cold up far north, we don't get that many visitors here," Candice explained.
"Too bad," Ventus said.
"That must be hard," Agumon said.
"So, where exactly are you leading us?" Sora asked.
"We're almost there. The Pokémon Trainer's School," Candice said, pointing to the building.
"And that's where we went to school," Zoey said.
"That explains the miss senior thing," Gabumon said.
"And with so much free time on my hands, I'm actually a teacher here," Candice said.
"Kinda like Roxanne back in Rustoboro City," Sora said.
"Anyway, Sora, how many Gym Badges did you earn?" Candice asked.
"Six," Sora said.
"That's great! I wonder if I can show you off for an example in a class I'm teaching," Candice said.
"You mean to battle?" Sora asked.
"No, I wpuld like you to help me teach a class. I think it'll be a great experiance for all of them. You think we could have the Gym battle later?" Candice asked.
"Sure thing. I would like to do what I can to help out," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"Excellent! And Zoey, I want you to get your Kiyah on too!" Candice said.
"Yeah, I hear you," Zoey said.
"Is something wrong?" Ventus asked.
"Take a look, Ven," Zoey said, showing them her ribbons. "I managed to win four ribbons, but I'm having trouble earning my fifth," Zoey said. Candice went up to Zoey.
"Zo-Zo, you have already managed to get four Contest Ribbons, but when it comes to number five, you come to a little bit short," Candice said. "So, this is your Miss Senior with a little news flash. Put Kiyah in it."
"What's Kiyah?' Ventus asked.
"I think Miss Senior's telling me I need to battle," Zoey said.
"Bingo! But before we get to that, I want Zo-Zo to see how good my students are and how hard they work! You got to remember your roots!" Candice said.
They entered the school building and looked around. They all entered a classroom that is filled with all sorts of people from all around.
"So, this is the Pokémon Trainer's School," Sora said.
"That's right. This is the place where you learn the basics of training your Pokémon up to the age of ten. Of course, that's the main reason for the school's existence. But there's another course where the older students may take as well," Zoey explained.
"So, what's that?" Terra asked.
"It's a special course. Everyone here got their first Pokémon. For one reason or another, these people had to interuppt their Pokémon journey," Zoey said.
"It reminds me of the Pokémon School I went to when I became a trainer," Riku said. Zoey turned to Riku.
"Naminé mentioned that you went to one of those before in Alola," Zoey pointed out.
"You already met most of our old classmates," Riku said. "There was also Hau who attended."
Who's "Hau?" Zoey asked.
"He's a trainer we all know. His grandpa is the Island Kahuna of Melemele Island," Kairi said.
"Now, class, today I have a special treat for you. We're lucky enough to have a special guest joining us here today. He came all the way from Pallet Town in the Kanto region. So, let's give a warm welcome to Sora. You're on," Candice said. There were some of the class who recognized him.
"Hey, it's him! It's Sora Ketchum!" A young man said.
"The Pokémon League Champion!" A young woman said.
"Sora has earned six Gym Badges," Candice stated. The class was impressed by the young teacher's claim. "Sora, would you mind showing them?"
"Okay. And here they all are," Sora said, showing them his bagdes.
"Those are the real deal!" A biker said.
"Oh my stars, and so young, too!" A nd he's still so young," a middle-aged woman said.
"How cool is that?" A baker asked.
"Sora, what motto do you have for our students?" Candice asked.
"Just this: Just do your best and give it all you got. That way, you and your Pokémon will grow together as a team," Sora said.
"I better write this down," the baker said, writing down Sora's word.
"Okay then, class, your assignment is to study along with Sora," Candice stated.
"Right!" The students acknowledged.
"And Kairi, you get to join in, too," CAndice said.
"Thank you," Kairi said. Kairi went to take her seat. Sora sat down next to a man wearing a suit.
"Hello there. My name's Jeremiah," the man introduced himself.
"I'm Sora," Sora introduced himself as well.
Kairi say next to a girl with blonde hair and a sleevelss blouse. With her, she has a small feline Pokémon that is based on a lion cub. Its fur is mainly deep brown with tan colored paws, ears, tail tip, and muzzle. It has an triangular orange nose and a small orange tuft of fiery fur (which is very hot to the touch) on the top of its head. Its paw pads are dark brown like its pelt, as well as the inside of its round ears.
"Hi there. I'm April," the girl introduced herself.
"I'm Kairi. And this little Eevee is Angel," Kairi introduced.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Angel, that is so cute! Even that bow she's wearing. This little one is my Litleo, Kiara," April introduced.
"Oh, she's so cute," Kairi cooed.
"Thanks," April said. Kiara got acquainted with Angel pretty quick and she in turn got acquianted with her.
"So, what brings you to school?" Sora asked.
"I work as a Pokétch Company rep," Jerimiah said.
"That you means you came from Jublife CIty," Sora pointed out.
"Right. Each and every day, loads of trainers would pass by and purchase our Pokétchs. And it hit. I decided that I wanted to go on my own journey. So, I chose this Skuntank as my partner and start off from square one," Jerimiah explained, petting Skuntank.
"That's quite a tale," Sora said.
"And now it's time for my Candice Class. I call this my Quick Kiyah Quiz! Press the button in front of you and give forth an answer," Candice instructed.
"Nobody told me there will be no pop quiz!" Sora said in his thoughts.
"This is good practice for a battle," Jerimiah said.
"Right," Sora said.
"Question 1: Pikachu is kknown as the..." Candice satrted when Sora pressed his button. "Good work, Sora. Now, Pikachu is known as the what?"
"Mouse Pokémon," Sora answered. A bell ringed.
"Correct! And now, what kind of Pokémon is Cyndaquil?" Candice asked. Jerimiah pressed his button fast enough before anyine else would have. "Jerimiah?"
"Fire Mouse Pokémon," Jerimiah replied quickly.
"That's correct!" Candice praised.
"Fast," Sora said.
"Next question. Abra's-" Candice started before Jerimiah pressed his button.
"Twenty-four hours," Jerimiah.
"Correct again!" Candice praised.
"Since Abra sleeps for eighteen hours of everyday, then the stink released by a Stunky lasts for twenty-four hours," Jerimiah explained.
"Exactly right, Jerimiah," Candice said.
"So Sora, what did you think?" Jerimiah asked.
"I have to say you have some fast fingers," Sora said.
"And next! The move that Meowth can actually learn from battling experience is..." Candice started the question before Jerimiah pressed the button again.
"Pay Day," Jerimiah answered.
"That is right again!" Candice praised. The Digimon all looked right at Meowth.
"Can't you use Pay Day, Meowth?" Gatomon asked.
"No. I never learned it," Meowth admitted.
"Um, excuse me," the biker said, raising his hand.
"Yes?" Candice asked.
"I enrolled in this school to learn about battling. How does this quiz help us in actual battles?" The biker asked.
"All right then. Class, does anyone else here was wondering the same thing?" Candice asked. A couple of people raised their hands. "So, you see, class, the quiz is designed to to tune your reflexes razor sharp. In a quiz or a battle, if you can learn to read a situation accurately, it will work to your advantage. When in a battle, your Pokémon actually does the battling, leaving all desicions to the trainer. What we're doing here is a classroom excercise that will help you become a trainer that a Pokémon can believe in."
"That's true. Professor Kukui taught us the same thing," Riku said.
A little bit later, Sora and Kairi sat down on a bench together.
"Man, that guy was quick," Sora said.
"I noticed. He must have hit the books hard," Kairi said.
"You think I'm going to do okay in my Gym battle with her, Kairi?" Sora asked his girlfriend.
"If I told you once, I told you a million times, you're going to do great. I mean, you earned six Gym Badges," Kairi said.
"Yeah, you're right," Sora said. April appraches the couple along with Kiara.
"Hiya, Kairi! I was wondering if I could braid your hair. JUst so we would be besties!" April said.
"That's nice of you, April," Kairi said. Sora looked at the Litelo and scanned her.
Litleo, the Lion Cub Pokémon
Type: Fire/Normal
They set off on their own from their pride and live by themselves to become stronger. These hot-blooded Pokémon are quick to fight. The stronger the opponent it faces, the more heat surges from its mane and the more power flows through its body.
"A Fire Type and a Normal Type," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"So, how about it, Kairi? Wanna me to braid your hair? You can braid mine," April offered.
"That's very nice of you, April, but, I don't know," Kairi said. Sora notices Riku, Naminé, Eevee, Azurill, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Meowth, and the Digimon were following Zoey and Glameow.
"Hey, what are they up to?" Sora asked. THe couples followed their friends. Zoey led them into a shed to find a small beanbag.
"Wow, it' still here," Zoe said.
"What is this place?" Meowth asked.
"What do you think it is, taking Meowth? This is where it all started for Zo-Zo and me," Candice said. Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel all show up to their friends.
"So, this is where the party is being held," Sora said.
"OKay, you know how stubborn Zo-Zo is," Candice said.
"Miss Senior!" Zoey said, blushing.
"She has a good reason. You know what I mean, don't you, Glameow?" Candice asked.
"Meow," Glameow said.
"I first met Glameow one cold morning when I was on my way to school. I spotted Glameow in a cardboard box. I couldn't just leave her there, so I brought her home with me. And when I did, my parents told me I couldn't have a Pokémon until I was old enough to be a trainer and told me to take Glameow to a Pokémon Center, so I decided to secretly raise Glameow right here. I promise to myself when I do become a trainer, I would make Glameow my partner," Zoey explained.
"That explains the bond the two of you share," Terra said.
"Where does Candice fit in this story?" Gomamon asked.
"She tried to keep quiet about it, but Mr. Honcho found out about right away," Candice said.
"I refused to give her up, but Miss Senior stood up for me," Zoey said.
"Eventually Mr. Honcho caved in and allowed her to continue to raise Glameow. On one condition. The condition was that I were to help raise Glameow along with her," Candice said. "And don't tell me that Zo-Zo hasn't given you an earful about not approving about competing in both Gym battles and Contests, right?"
"I remember that when me, her, and a Coordinator named Nando were at the Hearthome Contest," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"I started out in battling before I decided to go into Contests. That was when I decided to catch more Pokémon of my own," Kairi said.
"You mean Angel wasn't your first Pokémon, Kairi?" Candice asked.
"Kairi's first Pokémon was a Togepi she had since he was an egg. Me, Lillie, and the others decided that Kairi should have the egg since she was the only one in our original group who didn't have one of her own," Sora said. "I tried to teach Togepi how to battle, but Togepi was still just a baby when I did." Sora recalled the time when je tried to teach Togepi how to use Headbutt, but ended up with a headache when he did.
"What happened to that training?" Zoey asked.
"Let's just say that he should have known better than to reach a baby Pokémon how to battle when he or she was just born," Kairi said. "But Sora was the one earning the Gym Badges."
"And since you won five, that qualifies you to win in the Grand Festival," Candice said.
"I do. But I just need to work hard in the Grand Festival like I did in the Hoenn Grand Festival," Kairi said.
"I remember how hard she worked to get there," Meowth said.
"So, is that your Kiyah, Kairi?" Candice asked.
"I guess you can say that," Kairi said.
Grumblemon has shown up when he caught wind of the group's location.
"Me find you at last. Me no mess up like Ranamon did. Me get their attention first," Grumblemon said, taking out a whistle. Just then, a bunch of Gotsumon came out. They all were bluish-white. "Go Icemon! Launch attack!"
"Right!" The Icemon all said. The Icemon forms bombs made of ice. "Iceball Bomb!" They threw the ice bombs and explode when they made contact with the ground. Jerimiah shows up.
"What do you think you're doing?" Jerimiah asked.
"Me lead squad here and he smash anyone who gets in way! And include you!" Grumblemon said, taking out a hammer. "Seismic Sledge!" He swings his hammer down, but Agunimon shows up.
"Pyro Darts!" Agunimon shouted, sending out fireballs and striking Grumblemon. THe Icemon were about to attack when Loweemon shows up.
"Shadow Lance!" Loweemon shouted, swinging his lance at the Icemon.
Hearing the commotion, the group rush to see the brawl starting.
"Sora! Those Digimon are attacking!" Kairi exclaimed.
"Aren't those Gotsumon? What are they doing?" Zoey asked.
"Those aren't Gotsumon. Those are Icemon," Guilmon said. Sora took out his Digidex and analyzed the attacking Digimon.
"And here's the ringleader. Grumblemon. It says that he's a Legendary Warrior of Earth. He flattens his enemies with his Seismic Sledge attack," Sora said. "And those others are Icemon like Guilmon said. They look like Gotsumon, but their whole bodies are made of ice. They're also Champion level Digimon. They attack with Iceball Bomb."
"Then, let's attack them back!" Gatomon said. The Digimon all charged at the attacking Icemon as they all started to Digivolve.
"Agumon Digivolve to... Greymon!"
"Gabumon Digivolve to... Garurumon!"
"Biyomon Digivolve to... Birdramon!"
"Tentomon Digivolve to... Kabuterimon!"
"Palmon Digivolve to... Togemon!"

The Champion level Digimon all launched their attack and joined the Warrior Digimon in battle.
"Me knew you show up! Me fix you good!" Grumblemon said. Gatomon came at the Warrior of Earth.
Gatomon, "Lightning Paw!" She lands a punch onto Grumblemon. He punches her back.
"Grumblemon Slide Evolution... Gigasmon!" He lets out a loud roar. "Me crush you good!"
"Try it!" Greymon dared him. Gigasmon spins around.
"Quagmire Twister!" Gigasmon spins around and lands a hit onto Greymon.
"We can take you!" Agunimon said. He and the other Warror Digimon all Slide Evolved. "Agunimon SLide Evolution... BurningGreymon!"
"Lobomon Slide Evolution... KendoGarurumon!"
"Kazimon Slide Evolution... Zephyrmon!"
"Beetlemon Slide Evolution... MetalKabuterimon!"
"Kumamon Slide Evolution... Korikakkumon!

BurningGreymon, "Pyro Barrage!" BurningGreymon fires lasers right at Gigasmon, but he jumps to dodge.
"Tetonic Slam!" Gigasmon shouted, coming down. He turns his body over, but Birdramon grabs him by his feet. "Let me go!"
"Whatever you say! He gave Gigasmon a toss. Greymon and the others all attack the Icemon.

The Warrior Digimon all launched their attacks on the Warrior of Earth and sends him flying.
"Me lost this time, but me be back!" Gigasmon shouted. BurningGreymon and the others revert back to their humanoid forms as the Champion level Digimon revert back to their Rookie forms. All the students were amazed by the fight from the Digimon.
"Wow, that was impressive. You guys all have your own Kiyah," Candice said.
"We were going to need it when taking on evil Digimon like Gigasmon and all those Icemon," Agumon said.
"That's the spirit! And Sora, don't forget that we still have our Gym battle tomorrow, so put your Kiyah into it!" Candice said.
"You won't be disappointed," Sora said.
Gigasmon may have lost this time, but the Gym battle coming up will be one of the most difficult that Sora ever had, so will he make it through and earn his seventh Gym Badge? Just wait and see.
