Chapter 504.

"A day just for Lynn and Annabelle."

(Royal Woods High School.)

The school bell has rang and the students in the High School all come out and make their way home, even though they wanna make some relax time for the day, they need to get into their studies if they wanna pass the test next week.

The good news, is that the other day was another baseball game and of course, the Royal Woods Kangaroo's won, and all thanks to they're star pitcher, Liam Honicutt.

But right now, Lynn Loud Junior is not feeling so good about herself, she just got word that the next game won't be until Saturday next week, once the test is done, which means she's not gonna have much game time.

Lynn sees Luan go into Benny's mom's car and they drive off to his house for some studying, Luna hops into her car and Sam hops into her truck and they drive off and then Leni of course, the senior goes into her car and drives off to first drop her friends off at the mall and then head to the Mayor's hall to continue her internship.

Lynn walks down the stairs. "I am so bored. Sure wish I can do something today, no practice and no nothing to do." she then spots her teammates from the baseball team and the Royal Woods' Roller derby queen's all heading out and some of them with their dates so they can study together.

Lynn knows she can't be rude in hogging into their personal study date time. "What's a sporty girl gonna have to do to keep her mind from…."

"He there, LJ." Lynn sees who it is and it's none other than one of her teammates and friend, Annabelle McCann.

Lynn smiles seeing her, trying not to show her upset look and boredom. "Hey there Annie, watcha doing later?"

"Well, I was thinking that since everyone else is busy and we don't have any practice. We could spar a bit at the park and then do some soccer, or soccer first then spar, because we shouldn't harm ourselves, right?"

Lynn chuckles. "Now you're talking my language."

"But first, I think we need something in our stomach. I am really hungry and the lunch today was not enough" said Annabelle. "Those meat tacos didn't seem to fit the bill in making us full. Dang, I should've brought my mom's cooking for lunch, she made an awesome breakfast sandwich."

Lynn smirks. "I get that feeling too. Come on, we can get our grub on at the Burpin; Burger, I know just the meal we can have to fill us up for some game time!" The duo high five and then make their way to the local burger joint.

But, as a challenge, the duo race each other and the loser has to buy the food.

(Burpin; Burger.)

The duo arrive to the Burpin; Burger and spoiler alert! They're tied when they arrive. "Huh, didn't think you could keep up with me" said Lynn.

Annabelle chuckles. "You kidding? I was good at soccer and I am good at roller derby and being on the diamond park with baseball is a dang good time of when I was in that game when I was 11, and sure to heck I am good with track and field."

"And if you do join that, then I'll be rooting for ya, if I'm not gonna be competing against ya" said Lynn. "So, I guess we're both splitting the bill for lunch huh?"

"Sure seems like it" said Annabelle. The duo go towards the counter and wait in line. "So, what the heck are we craving today?"

"Hold that thought there, Annie. LJ's got this and I know what can fill us up with energy and make us feel like champs when we eat." Lynn looks to the one burger that has all the right stuff…. For her palatable tastes and the one burger she seems to be capable of devouring, okay so her roller derby team can gobble this up too!

The Burpin' Burger Double Decker Belch Supreme – With double 100% Beef patties, double the cheese, double the pickles, double the tomato, double the onions, double the lettuce, double the bacon and double the sauce! Also, add some hot sauce, which is double!

So…. Is this is a heart attack on a bun? Yes.

(Later.)

The two girls have their orders, along with some sodas and fries and they go to a booth and sit there and look at the meal. Annabelle is surprised. "Whoa! Talk about a big one, this thing is almost huge!"

"This big boy here is the prime and newest king of the burgers here in Royal Woods, and for the past three months I have been the only one capable of gobbling this thing, and my roller derby gal pals too, but sometimes it can get too… What the heck are you doing?"

Annabelle opens the bun and she puts her fries and ketchup on it. "Hmm? Oh, sometimes I like my fries in the burger…. Are you fine with this?" She sees no response from Lynn. "Lynn? You okay?"

Lynn is surprised by this and so she does the same and to see her fries in the burger looked like an atomic bomb fell into her head and sparks were flying. "Whoa! How the heck did I not see this coming?! Where did you learn this?"

Annabelle is confused. "Umm, when I was 11. My dad showed me, and I even like fries in my ice cream too. Tastes nice, sweet and salty."

Lynn's thoughts are ticking, and ticking and ticking and it rings. "Dude, that is awesome. I have got to tell the others about this! This is so awesome and wicked cool. Thanks for showing me this."

Annabelle smiles. "No problem." The two girls then squeeze their burger to bitable size and they begin to eat it. "Dang this is so good, a little bit spicy, but so good."

"Dang right and the fries is so good in this burger! You are one smart…." she then sees something. "Hey Annie, can you take the heat from that?"

"Hmm? Yeah, I can. Why?" Annabelle takes another bite and then one small sip from her soda. "Is there something wrong?"

Lynn chuckles. "Nope, you are one cool friend Annie. You showed me how to put fries on burger, and now you can take the heat of the burger that I can handle? You are one wicked cool, sports loving gal pal yo."

Annabelle chuckles. "Thanks." But then something comes to her thoughts. 'Why does it feel super weird when she calls me her friend? I am just her friend, I think. Wait, what the heck am I even thinking?'

(Ketcham Park.)

After some gobbling onto the one burger that the other folks wouldn't eat, we now see Lynn and Annabelle going back and forth on the large soccer field of the park, and they're the only ones there playing and they are going at it to see who can make the goal.

Lynn snags the ball from Annabelle, and she makes her way to the goal. Annabelle tries to go in, but Lynn dodges and she goes for the strike and the ball is kicked all the way and hits Annabelle's goal before she can even catch it.

"Woohoo! Two points, looks like we're tied" said Lynn.

Annabelle chuckles. "Yeah, I guess we are. So, tie breaker?"

"Heck yeah!" said Lynn. The duo then go at it again as Annabelle has the ball this time and she goes past Lynn and just as Lynn is about to take the ball from her, Anabelle leaps into the air with the ball and she head butts it towards the goal and that makes the win for Annabelle C. McCann!

Annabelle cheers and claps. "And that is how i… GOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAL!"

Lynn chuckles seeing this and she gets up. "Wow. Good game and good job too, that was pretty sick and the next time we have another soccer game, try those moves dude."

"Thanks LJ." Annabelle then kicks the ball to where they're bags are. "Now just one more thing to do."

"And what's…. Wow!" Lynn ducks from Annabelle's kick. "What the heck?!"

Annabelle gets into position, kick boxing style. "Sparring sports, you and me LJ."

Lynn sees that Annabelle has her shoes off and so she does the same and she even removes her socks. "Then bring it on!" She goes in for the attack, but Annabelle dodges them all and she manages to land a punch to Lynn's right arm.

But the sports loving loud girl doesn't buckle and she counters with her own kick, but only to be blocked by Annabelle. The girl then punches and kicks and then she makes Lynn fall backward, she helps her up and then tries to punch her, but Lynn saw this coming and dodges.

Lynn manages to land a kick on Annabelle, but she doesn't hinder even though it hurt, and she counters and she makes Lynn trip again.

Annabelle tries to go in for a submission hold, but Lynn counters and this makes Annabelle get back to her feet and try to strike down Lynn, but Lynn lunges forward only to trip when a Diglet surfaces and then goes back underground.

Lynn stumbles and falls on top of Annabelle, the duo then open their eyes and see that they're faces are close and they can see each other very closely and they're lips are inches from each other…. This is awkward.

Annabelle blushes from this, and this also makes Lynn blush. Seeing each other turn red, makes them realize what was going on and they both get up and back away from this position.

(Also because Annabelle had no clue that Lynn had her right hand on Annabelle's chest, and Lynn knew and that's why she blushed and it got awkward.)

Lynn and Annabelle look to each other, and then look away. They remain silent and so Annabelle goes to her socks and puts them on and then her shoes. This makes Lynn do the same.

The duo then go for the school bags, and then look to each other. They were nervous of what happened and then Lynn holds her hand out to shake. "Good Game, Annie."

Annabelle smiles and she shakes her hand. "Y-Yeah, good game."

The dup then continue to shake hands for like 10 minutes, they see that this is taking long and so they let go and look to each other. "See you tomorrow?" asked Annabelle.

"Yah, tomorrow." The duo then take their leave and go their separate ways to the two gates of the park, but both of them troubled by what just happened.

Lynn. 'What the heck was that? Why did I trip? Why did I touch her chest?! Oh god! What the heck is going on? Why the heck am I feeling this? Did she know where I touched her?! I hope this doesn't make things awkward between us.'

Annabelle. 'Oh gosh! Oh heck, what the heck? I just… She looked so cute, and kinda pretty up close. I mean, she is pretty attractive on the field and when she has her hair down and not in her ponytail, but that was… That was as close as I got to her… But, we're just friends. Why did she blush at me?'

But while Annabelle and Lynn go their separate ways, they are unaware that Lincoln and Jordan were there and saw everything. "Linc, what the heck just happened?" asked Jordan.

"No clue, but I think we might need to talk to Annabelle about this" replied Lincoln. Even the eagles are baffled by what transpired, but they have seen this kind of thing before, with Leni and Hope.
