Milcery's white, pupilless eyes give one the impression of cake toppings, but their true meaning is far more sinister. Eyes like theirs, on beings with more form, are a common indicator in art for possession, mind control, or other situations where one's brain is not their own.

The presence of a Milcery is a boon to any patisserie it visits – less from its delicious milk than from its manipulation of fate – but a business's blessing is a pokemon's curse. Cake shops are joyous places for customers, and their owners pour their hearts, souls, and puzzle skills into sharing them, but there are more would-be owners than customers can support, so the competition is fierce. Milcery do not wish to pick sides, but those who catch them are not so kind, and monopolize these pokemon in their shops at the cost of their gentle, free spirits. Unfortunately, unlike with many pokemon, their emotions (or lack thereof) have zero impact on their powers; a broken Milcery spreads prosperity all the same.

Old legends speak of Milcery as surprise visitors who bring miracles, and also of their gleaming, multi-colored eyes. It would be better if modern Milcery were likewise, but not all is lost, for this phase seldom lasts long. Much of modern cooking is automated, and it is not rare for candies, berries, and other sweets to get sucked into the spinning machinery – but what would be a tragic, perhaps fatal accident for a more solid pokemon is for these creatures the liberation of evolution. Alcremie sometimes leave their former owners and shops, and sometimes bond with them; regardless, their spirit has returned, and their will is far too strong for Man to control!
