Alcremie are the most generous of the food pokemon, a species which freely shares its delicious cream with the hungry, and the beloved companion of many a restaurant or bakery. They are also the inspiration for many a popular dessert or treat, even those which use other forms of cream, for they have long been beloved for their taste; wedding cakes, notably, rarely use ingredients from actual Alcremie, and are far too small to actually be made from a Gigantamax one.
But there are some who are not satisfied with the offerings freely given, and enjoy the taste of Alcremie cream so much they seek to devour the whole thing. Eating one, however, is incredibly unwise. Whether by a fairy's curse or simply the number of calories contained within these pokemon, none have survived to tell the tale; accounts abound of Alcremie making even a Snorlax's stomach burst. Perhaps a Guzzlord's strange biology would let them survive devouring one, but existential risk planners have with good cause encouraged a squadron of Gigantamax Alcremie as the first line of defense should a Guzzlord ever run out of control. As for humans, those who tried made sad, pitiful attempts after gluttony drove them to madness; the most recent attempt, from a hot dog contest champion, did not survive to finish a single curl.
Whether or not fairy pokemon are mortal is still a matter of intense scientific dispute, and if they do perish, no one has actually seen an Alcremie die. Therefore, it is not known (to humans; perhaps the Mandibuzz have learned the answer) if the 'curse' also applies to devouring one's body after death, or only to slaying a live Alcremie for food.
