@Northstar Pokeshipper
So why did I change the name. When I originally came up with the idea, it was going to be Ash slowly becoming more and more comfortable with dressing like a girl around people, and then it just became what it is now. While the terms trap and femboi are similar in meaning, I feel like trap better describes the direction Ash has gone, where he easily passes as a girl without even trying, and it doesn't bother him much that people see him that way.
@Lugia0920
Yes, they are.
@Silverwing23
I changed both for consistency
"It seems we're spending a lot of time at these kind of places." Serena said, as the approached the large tower.
"Duking is looking into tickets to get us home, but even he recommended coming here in the meantime. Apparently it's not even just battling that we can do here." Ash said.
"Then that's what we'll do here." Serena said happily.
"Wait what?" Ash said surprised.
"Ash this place is huge, let's do anything but battle. Come on." Serena said.
"Okay, I won't participate." Ash said reluctantly.
"Thanks." Serena said, running towards the front door.
"Whoa, fancy, but why do they have this long tube to walk through?" Ash asked, stepping in.
'Please hold on tight.' An automated voice said, as rails popped up. Then suddenly the platform launched forward towards the next dome.
"Gahhh! That was crazy!" Ash shouted, catching his breath.
"Why would they have something like that?!" Serena said, confused.
"First time at Realgam?" A woman asked.
"Uhh, yeah how'd you know?" Ash asked.
"We use the high speed tunnels to keep the building separate to allow visitors to take in the natural beauty outside." The woman said.
"It's a desert. Not much out there." Ash said, confused.
"Stay until sundown, I promise you won't regret it." The woman said.
"Come on Ash, I want to check out the stores." Serena said dragging him by the arm.
A few hours later
"Let's see what's over here!" Serena said.
"Serena, mind if I take care of something, I'll meet you right here in five minutes." Ash said.
"Okay, just hurry back." Serena said.
"Okay. Bathroom. Bathroom. A place this big has to have at least one." Ash said running around. "Excuse me miss, I was wondering…"
"Perfect. Are you a trainer?" The woman asked.
"Yes, but I…". Ash tried interjecting.
"Are you any good?" The woman asked.
"Well, I'm internationally ranked, but I'm trying to…". Ash tried saying.
"Good enough. We need a sixteenth trainer, and you are it. Get on up there." The woman said, pushing Ash into an elevator.
"HELLO EVERYONE! WELCOME TO THE EIGHTH MATCH OF THE FIRST ROUND! LETS GIVE IT UP FOR OUR CONTESTANTS! NOW REMEMBER THESE ARE FOUR ON FOUR BATTLES!" An announcer shouted.
"Oh no." Ash said.
"Where is he?" Serena asked, looking around.
"Torterra! Infernape! I choose you!"
"Let's go! Walrein! Swallot!"
"Torterra use Leaf Storm! Infernape use Flame Wheel!"
"Walrein use Ice Ball! Swallot use Shock Wave!"
Infernape collided with the Ice Ball, melting it instantly before hitting Walrein. Torterra's leaves struck the Swallot, while he absorbed the shock wave.
"Torterra use Rock Climb! Infernape use Fire Punch!"
"Walrein use Ice Ball! Swallot use Sludge Bomb!"
Torterra sped across the arena, striking into Walrein, while Infernape charged right into the Sludge Bomb, covering the arena in smoke.
"Torterra use Reverse Energy Ball! Infernape use Mach Punch!"
"Walrein and Swallot use Protect!"
As the smoke cleared, Torterra was powered up, and Infernape was suddenly behind Walrein!
"Now Infernape use Fire Punch! Torterra use Rock Climb!"
"Walrein use Water Pulse! Swallot use Sludge Wave!"
Before Walrein could attack, it was struck by Infernape, sending it tumbling into Swallot. Torterra then crashed into the Pokémon at high speed, knocking them out.
"Swallot! Walrein! Come back! Claydol! Ampharos! Come on out!"
"Torterra use Energy Ball! Infernape use Fire Punch!"
"Claydol use Ancient Power! Ampharos use Power Gem!"
Try as he might, Infernape wasn't able to block all the rocks flying at him, and Torterra wasn't able to get a clean shot.
"Time for a change up. Infernape return! Come on out Palpitoad!"
"Ampharos use Thunder Punch! Claydol use Psychic!"
"Torterra use Leaf Storm! Palpitoad use Hydro Pump!"
Ampharos's fist collided with Palpitoad, as the latter just smiled before firing a Hydro Pump at close range. Torterra managed to stop the psychic from hitting him, by obscuring Claydol's view.
"Now Palpitoad use Mud Shot! Torterra use Energy Ball!"
"Ampharos use Iron Tail! Claydol use Earth Power!"
The arena shook and a cloud of dust flew up. When it settled, Ampharos was defeated by its trainers own attack.
"Now Torterra!" Ash shouted.
Torterra charged forward, knocking out the opponents fourth and final Pokémon.
A while later
"AND HERE WE HAVE IT FOLKS! THE FINAL ROUND OF TODAYS TOURNAMENT! NEWCOMER ASH VS A REGULAR HERE CYTO!"
"Oh, he is so paying for this." Serena said, looking at the monitor. Ash and Pikachu clearly taking in the cheering crowd and large arena.
"Pikachu use Thunderbolt!" Ash called out. This place was one of his first real challenges here in Orre, but why did he feel like something was wrong. He was winning.
Back in the main area
"Serena did you see that! I… wasn't supposed to be doing that." Ash realized.
"5 minutes?" Serena said.
"Look, I can explain." Ash defended.
"Okay, let's hear it." Serena said, a bit annoyed.
"It was only supposed to be five minutes, but then this attendant mistook me for a competitor and she threw me in this elevator, and you know how I get when it comes to battles." Ash said exhausted. "I'm sorry."
"That's all I wanted to hear." Serena said calmly. "Come on, let's head back to Pyrite."
"About that." Ash said. "Follow me, the grand prize is waiting."
Scanning a strange ticket, Ash and Serena were led to another elevator.
"It's like a penthouse up here." Serena said amazed.
"Not quite, but this was today's prize, a two night stay in this room." Ash said with a smile.
"Thanks Ash." Serena said.
A bit later that afternoon
"Hey Mom." Ash said.
"Ash! I've been so worried. Professor Oak said you quit the lab job, is everything alright?" Delia asked, concerned.
"I had to take care of some things that the lab wouldn't back me up with, how are things doing right now?" Ash asked.
Serena was in another room, but could make out most of what Ash and his mom were saying. She fell down, crying. Would her mom accept her, and believe in her like Ash's does? Or would Serena's fears be justified, and that her days journeying would be over.
