After six long years, Zak has finally made peace with his past. He sees a therapist weekly, he hasn't had a flashback in months, and he feels useful on missions without his powers. But just when he is finally ready to move on, everything goes wrong on one fateful night when he realizes the nagas aren't done with him yet.

How did the Secret Scientists find out that Zak was Kur, anyway?

Van Rook's apprentice has a job that he can't do alone and he's decided that Zak, with his powers, is the only one who can help him. Rather than asking (and facing a very protective and stubborn family), a kidnapping seems the fastest and most efficient way to secure that help.

Kur has been gone for two years, two years of peace for the Saturday family. But Kur returns in triumphant valor ready to reclaim his host and the world for the cryptids. It's up to Zak to make the crucial choice, will he stand with the humans or help destroy them?

The true events of being a, forced, cryptid overlord as documented by Zak Saturday. It's surprisingly not as bad as you'd think.

Kur was vanished from the world almost two years ago and ever since the War of the Cryptids, the Saturdays have lived a calm, peaceful, new life. But when an ancient evil, possibly stronger than Kur, rises, Kur's powers are desperately needed to put the beast to rest.

Even if Zak hadn't been able to hear what happened, he had been close enough to get a good look while Argost sucked out Zak Monday's soul. He had experienced the Flute of Gilgamesh himself, first-hand. It wasn't pleasant. In one word, it was pain; the very definition of the word. Zak Monday looked as though he was fine with that.
