A modern retelling of Amy and Laurie

I read *Jo and Laurie: A Romantic Retelling* by Margaret Stohl, it didn't really sit well with me. I thought it was cute, but it did not satisfy my hopes and dreams for Jo and Laurie's relationship. That being said, I decided to write this! Picking up from Jo publishing her novel, this story follows her and Laurie's relationship and how it ultimately leads to love.

The March sisters had in "Little Women" exciting adventures in Europe - perhaps they changed a bit of history? Whether in France, Germany, Russia or the States, the grown-up sisters will have a very special (fictional) connection to one of the greatest composers and help him to shape his (and their own) fate - Peter Tchaikovsky. (Based on my research on T. and Swan Lake origins)

This story was inspired by the 2019 Little Women Movie Reboot. Jo has died giving birth to her and Laurie's son Mason. Laurie readjusts his life to being a single father.

In this short story Beth has survived her painful illness. Amy has accepted Fred Vaughn's proposal and went to his estate in England. For the wedding, she invites her sisters Jo and Beth and her old friend Laurie. Beth meets Fred's brother Frank again and together they'll try to manage a true Happily ever after for sister Jo.

After Mr. Laurence scolds him for his prank on Meg, a furious Laurie sets his heart on running off to India in the rite of passage known as adolescent rebellion. However, an adventure-starved Jo won't let him go alone, and before long, the two find themselves secretly aboard Laurie's grandfather's merchant ships off on a journey to the Land of Spices.

While doing so, a young man with a book in his hand bumped into her, knocking her off her feet. It happened so quickly, neither party knew how to react; Beth's papers flew in the air and scattered everywhere in the snow, just as she fell back with her hat falling on her face. The young man quickly composed himself and went to her. "Forgive me, I didn't see you there."

As Amy and Laurie's wedding approaches, each of the sisters has a different task to do to make this wedding great. However simple the tasks seem, they will be more challenging than they think. (Companion to: Love Meetings)
