This is a story covering of the adventures of Naofumi Iwatani the current shield hero, and the possibility of him playing the monster lottery early and gaining a valuable ally.

Why should Naofumi just accept that his shield can't attack and try to make do? With the way the Legendary Weapons system works, he could've instead figured out how to design and create his own shields. Excited to fulfill their roles, it soon became clear that not everything was what it seemed, discovering that this fantasy dream with friends was actually an everlasting nightmare in disguise.

Four heroes...together or none...a corrupt king unlike any that have come before him...poison...three weeks until the next Swarm...and then rises a hero from another dimension to take the place of the powerful four Legendary Heroes.

Hirote Akiyama and Kira Shirogane have been summoned to a different world alongside three other boys. They each wield a different weapon. A spear, a sword, a bow, a shield, and a dagger. Hindsight wasn't everything. Questions may still remain. Thinking that I would be able to get through this world with what fragmented memories I had of "Rising of the Shield Hero", fate had something else in store. Instead of rising up and becoming a hero, I now had to figure out why I'm here and why I've replaced Naofumi Iwatani. Only problem? I don't remember who I am. OC/SI.

Motoyasu didn't transfer into the new world correctly like the others. His hands felt shaky, his spear won't listen to him, and he felt that everything about himself was wrong. After discovering the ring in a pawn shop's clearance bin, Lucatiel is murdered, but the ring had other plans than to let it's finder die, and so as a result it rewarded him by sending him to a new world, join him and the others on their quest to save the world from catastrophe. There is no victory without sacrifice. This was a truth that Adrian had known all his life, his father sacrificed himself for the city he loved, his mother sacrificed her time, her future for her children and Adrian had chosen to sacrifice what meagre things he could offer to try and help his family.
