Not one to be appeased by flimsy substitutions when he really wants something, the Cat King drags a protesting Natori into the human world some time after midnight in the hopes of obtaining a midnight snack worth getting out of bed for.

A pleading request from a parent whose daughter has been cursed by a resentful witch is nothing truly out of the ordinary for the Cat Bureau— in fact, it might be so common so as to be routine— so why does something feel inherently off about this particular one? Toto-Tousan? Haru never had a father figure growing up when she wanted one. But she had a big black crow that visited at night and it was just as good as a real father. He never let on he was more than a crow though until she ends up in a Cat-Astrophe. Of course what do you expect when you are something different. Or the AU where a Much older Haru gets into trouble. Haru has lived in her tower all her life. Baron has been on the run for most of his. A stolen crown and a twist of fate brings them together to unravel the secrets of the tangled tale that binds them. This is exactly what it sounds like. Tangled AU.

A long-buried story finally comes to light. Freed from enslavement, Haru awakens to a world both familiar and strange to her. Now the question is, where to go from here?

Written for the TCR Secret Santa 2020. The Cat Kingdom is hosting a Christmas Ball, and Haru and the Bureau are invited. But Haru can't dance. So Baron teaches her how to waltz so they can dance the first song at the event. A happy fluffy story.

Her once peaceful life shattered by a single revelation, a young half-cat journeys to the ends of the world to find out the truth of her origins, gaining a certain wizard with a moving castle as a companion in the process.

He missed out on a lot of cardinal priming for his eventual position. Now unofficially under his advisor's discreet tutelage, the new Cat King can't quite say he's sorry to have never been forced to learn the finicky etiquette surrounding a proper meal… but a bowl of homemade soup for his trouble isn't that bad a motivator. Young! Cat King and Natori, lots of headcanons.

Honestly, if he'd wanted to spend an entire evening traversing a bizarre, grainy landscape with only a well-loved duster for company, he would have just had Natori hook up the ol' PS1 again and pop in the Lovely Sweet Dream. (A little odd. Some definite hints at some Feelings between the Cat King and Natori, but nothing explicit.)

"It's been a while since Haru visited." "Who's Haru?" / Baron remembers a case that no one else seems to recall, that has no records, that – as far as the world is concerned – never happened. So why does he?

after rushing into her burning home in the hope of saving her mother and suffering severe burn injuries, Haru has to slowly heal with the help of her family and friends.
