After getting Sally back from running away, the Browns make a decision on whether or not to move back to their old town or stay in the new town. Also back in Sparkyville, everyone laments about how much they really miss Charlie Brown. Lucy, in particular, is near tears when his name is mentioned.

Woodstock arrives in the Brown's new town, and Snoopy is elated that his little buddy is back in his life. Meanwhile, Sally finally has had enough and wants to go back to Sparkyville. She gives the family a shock when she runs away.

The Peanuts Gang is starting Junior High. Charlie Brown is expecting another two years of depression, failure, and bullying, but a certain red-haired girl is making more of a presence in his life. And with her by his side, could things actually turn around for Charlie Brown? Meanwhile, others have their own going-ons, particularly Lucy, who may be about to change for the better.

Back in Sparkyville, Lucy tries to find a new Charlie Brown for her to torment, but no one else will placate the fussbudget, or even tolerate her crabbiness and mean attitude like Charlie Brown did.

It's senior year for Charlie Brown, Linus, Lucy, Schroeder, Patty, and their friends, and the arrival of two students at Schulz High — one a new face, the other an old friend — will send shockwaves through the Peanuts gang, upending friendships and loves, and creating opportunities for new ones. Schroeder has finally had enough of Lucy, sending her spiraling down, Charlie- the last person she should be pushing away slowly realizes he loves Lucy. Everybody plays their part to fix them up, hoping he's the key to fix her up.

One day, Charlie Brown decided to inflate, and boil himself with hot water, knowing things would get bad later on.

While Sally struggles to get along with the new kids at school, Charlie Brown actually becomes quite popular, for the right reasons. He even scores a girl who is interested in him. Snoopy decides to send for Woodstock to stay with him in the new town they're in, as he misses him.

Thought the only adventure Ed had was the one in France? Well now he,Herman and more of his crew are now on the hunt for some pirate treasure with the help of some new faces good and bad,and boy do things get wild.

Back in Sparkyville, the gang realize they miss Charlie Brown more than some of them want to admit. Violet starts to see the ramifications of her treatment of Charlie Brown, as does Lucy, reluctantly. Linus, meanwhile, keeps in contact with him and they share everything that's going on.

In the season finale of The Next Chapter, the gang heads to the Spring Carnival and rides all the rides. Cobra and Dominick split up because of Mallory still trying to come between them. The gang gets the shock of their lives when Joe Agate, Skillet, and Butch returns and runs amuck all over town. But with Charlie Brown, Joe wants a rematch for the marbles, to which Charlie obliges. Also the Serpent Sisters, Serpent Sisters Prime, and Spiders go on standby to see what Joe and his gang has planned, besides the marbles match.
