Humans have wondered if one day they would encounter alien life. One day extraterrestrial activity on Earth spiked. The nations of Earth all came together in one room, the Council of Nations, and created the most elite military and scientific organization in human history, tasked with defending them from the alien attack. It was called the Extraterrestrial Combat Unit or XCOM.

Throughout its existence, XCOM has recruited many notable people in its fight against the Ethereal Collective. Dawn Conley is one such- an eighteen year old straight out of high school, with extremely high telepathic capabilities, and carries a unique skill only a few can master-biopathy. This is her story. Based off of Xabiar's XCOM: The Advent Directive fanfiction.

Australia has been annexed, the United Nations is in chaos, the world is under siege and the Ethereals have taken the field. Hello! I wrote this little story in homage to my friend and I, who's soldiers fought during a particularly nasty resistance haven assault. This is my first ever story here, so any criticism or feedback is truly appreciated!

Sometime after Advent arrived and established dominion over Earth, things are starting to heat up again. The terrorists have been reinvigorated, and are causing chaos in the city. A cynical Advent VIP with a checkered past, and a distrust of aliens, tries to navigate through this new world without being killed.

Torque is a viper. She is particularly stubborn, and resisting change is in her nature. A human would likely succumb to the changes forced upon them in this story. But for a viper like her- well it's anyone's guess. This story will make Torque look at what kind of person she wants to be, for better or worse.

Most, when presented with ADVENT, would not hesitate to ring the death knell for them. The Elders fully expect this as XCOM draws closer to the Hunter's Stronghold. But when faced with a fate far different than what they ever could have imagined, how will the Chosen react in the face of it? Where will their future lead?

A Viper is taken down and taken captive by a team including Sniper Corporal 'Zero' on a mission to destroy an Advent radio transmitter. After Dr. Tygan refuses to experiment on a live subject, everyone, the Commander included, is unsure of what to do with their new hostage.

What is purpose? Without purpose what is will, without will what reason is there to have purpose? To have neither is to have no purpose, for I am what I am and I have reason. I am leashed to powers, to beings beyond me and I accept it. My will grants me reason, guides me and that is something that cannot be allowed. I am Retribution, for my will is my reason and that is dangerous.

Together, they explore a world controlled by the hands of men and aliens alike, and from their journey they uncover a wide assortment of new enemies and allies.

What happens when a new agent joins the Chimera Squad, and as luck would have it, one that used to be a Reaper? An uneasy relation forms between the two as they have no choice but work together if they want to get through the dangers of the City 31.

A Templar is sent to City 31 to track down a traitor and join Reclamation. However, he must learn to balance his duties as a Reclamation agent with his oath as a Templar and his own feelings and loyalty to his team.

Devin made a bet against his friends, and lost that bet within five minutes. Devin isn't a coward, and understands he is doomed. His social status will be lowered and his dignity will be torn to shreds. The dare is simple: make an appointment with a chiropractor. But not all professionals in City 31 are human. It makes perfect sense that Devin's chiropractor has to be a viper.

With the Vipers now openly rebelling against Advent, XCOM's fight against Advent seems to have gained momentum. However, as new shadows rise to break the will of the resistance, the Commander himself now finds it difficult to maintain his high confidence and will. With a growing sense of self doubt, can the Commander fight not only Advent, but also to keep his humanity?
