Rick Gordon is dealing with a painful memory in his past and he is forced to confront his demons after he starts to have nightmares from the attack that was done on him adds on with a series of events.

Set six months after "Ronins on the Hellmouth". After Ming the Merciless attacks the Ronin Warriors and their Guardians, they reunite with James and Twyla and join forces with the Defenders of the Earth and then the heroes find themselves in a series of adventures, twists and turns that leads to a prophecy coming to light!

A visit to a well known professor leads to big trouble for the heroes when Rick has his weight doubled after unwittingly consumed a weight enhancing formula, which was spiked into his drink. This leads to his and other's problems to more than double as the scientist works on an antidote.

The weekend becomes interesting for the Defenders of the Earth as they planned to spend it with Flash Gordon's old friends, but the weekend results in the Phantom's young son being infected with a parasite that Ming unleashed.
