A letter inviting him to Firelord Zuko's marriage to Mai shakes him out of his self imposed exile and forces him to face situations he was avoiding: his failed romance with Katara, him avoiding Sokka for long enough to miss his marriage, and him just not talking to Toph for . . . reasons?
