Things are going well. He's settling into this different kind of life, but he didn't tell anyone where he was. He didn't want to deal with the gems' reactions if they knew what his work was.

When her wife goes into lagbor, Pearl is a panniced mess. When she is shoved out of the delivery room with no guidance other then a "complication" She starts to panic thinking she will lose the love of her life like Rose before her.
