Like many others, I was disappointed in the When Calls the Heart Season 8 finale… so I've rewritten it based on my original expectations. If someone tells you a fictional story that breaks your heart, throw it out and write your own, I say! No disrespect at all to Team Lucas, but hopefully this brings Team Nathan some happiness.

This is what I saw happening after season 7 ended and after some season 8 spoilers started being announced. With season 8 already airing I know that this not accurate to the current story line regarding Nathan and Elizabeth's love and families.

Just a short story that wouldn't leave me alone after the final episode. I basically rewrote the ending the way I'm sure teamNathan has been imagining it for weeks. And that would honestly make more sense with how the season was going.

I took the episode and rewrote it using mostly the dialogue from the actual show but turned it around so that Elizabeth actually makes the proper choice unlike the wrong choice as she did in the show. Some of the words are my own, but mostly changed so she picks Nathan
