This was how I wanted to spend the rest of my life, waking up in Jake's arms. To forget about the outbreak, the tension - if only for a little while. Fluff. One-shot.

I knew I shouldn't have let Suzie talk me into this. Granted, Jake seemed like a nice guy. But still, a blind date? Really? What if he was a sociopath! Pre-Outbreak. One-shot.

What was supposed to be a simple food transaction and quick flirtation with that cute police officer turns into something much more tragic. But as in every situation, my eyes stayed locked on Jake. One-shot.

Just one phone call, just one time of hearing that voice - the one that ran shivers down my spine. It was all I needed in this moment, just to know Jake was alright. Even if we couldn't be together. One-shot.

To say I'd been waiting forever on this day would be an understatement. Finally, the outbreak was over. Finally, I would get to see him again after months of separation. My one true love - Jake. One-shot.

It really wasn't my fault I didn't get along with Officer Grumpy AKA Jake Riley. Sure, he was cute but he really got under my skin. But what happens if we start bonding in quarantine? Will love bloom? Maybe only in Wonderland... One-shot.

Boredom was hitting hard in quarantine and the random Star Wars DVD I found seemed like the answer. Jake, however, seemed not to think so. Or at least, not after seeing my love for Kylo Ren. Who knew Jake could get so jealous over a fictional character? One-shot.

The outbreak had been hard to live through but with Jake by my side, he'd made living a bit easier. Especially when he grabbed my hand in the middle of the night and whisked me away to another world. At least, that's what it felt like dating Jake Riley. One-shot.

It was daring, it was reckless. And totally dangerous. But I needed to be with Jake, there was no way I was going to survive this outbreak without his love and support. And love? Sometimes love made you do crazy things. One-shot.

Jake loved me implicitly. Which is why he had insisted I learn how to defend myself. To be honest, the whole idea seemed absurd to me at first. But then again...maybe target practice could be fun. One-shot.

Too much togetherness in quarantine can lead to some crazy things. Especially when there are limited food sources such as a jar of pickles in the cafeteria - very possibly the last jar of pickles on earth. And no matter how attractive Jake was, I had still dibs. One-shot.

Being quarantined in a hospital with my overbearing older sister, Katie, and her unruly school kids sounded like a nightmare. Luckily, the junk machine which held my beloved Butterfinger bars was nearby. If only an incredibly attractive police officer named Jake hadn't beaten me to it. One-shot.

This was it. The final straw that would break her. Or at least it felt that way when Atlanta was cordoned off, the other half of the city completely quarantined. Now she was separated from the love of her life, a wall keeping them apart. Would she ever see Jake again? One-shot.

This is my take on the missing parts after Katie had gotten sick.

Leo Greene was her whole world. And this virus outbreak didn't change a thing. Except...except when he walked out of the house one day and didn't come back. He'd gotten stuck behind the wall - quarantined with the rest of the ill individuals. Now all they had was cell phone calls in the dark...and the hope that one day, they would be reunited. Two-shot.

With Katie finally awake, things are finally looking up for Jake... But nothing lasts forever. With the hope of a potential cure on the horizon and those becoming infected on the decrease, the future has never looked brighter. Outside the cordon, the truth is out and much needed aid is on its way... So why does it feel like with every one step forward, they take two steps back?

Sequel to Restraint. Jake and Katie having escaped the Cordon try and live normal lives while trying to stop the horrid virus plaguing their city. Ups and downs. Follow their journey

Panacea: Noun. A cure all, 'magic bullet', for all difficulties or diseases. Fate was a funny thing but irony was funnier - Especially when Violet found her panacea by being trapped in quarantine, amidst a viral outbreak, with a certain Officer Jake Riley

Alternate ending: 1x11. Jake/Katie. And finally Katie fell still in his arms and Jake let out a devastated cry and leant forward hugging Katie's body to his chest. "I love you," Jake muttered one last time. Jake didn't know how long he sat there for and cried, but when the last of his tears had fallen and he went to move, he froze in shock. Katie was still breathing! Jake centric.

How I felt Jake's and Katie's relationship should of ended.
